Our favorites continue to the glazed twists, maple (any variety/frosted or unfrosted), blueberry(any variety/frosted or unfrosted), and of course the kids love the chocolate donut with chocolate frosting with rainbow or chocolate sprinkles. Service is quick and friendly. What's even better, they now have online ordering for pick up!! Now, if they run out of a donut or it's not available - they will substitute the closest possible. So if you are concerned about the substitute, you should order in person....with that there's even a greater risk no donuts will be available...I would rather order via that app, as I know I will get something! Parking can be annoying, especially if you don't like parallel parking or walking. But we don't mind at all for these delicious donuts! Place can get crowded. She absolutely nails how a business owner should be. My wife spotted on their social media yesterday they would be having lavender shortbread cookies and knew we needed to go and get them. They actually sourced the lavender from a fellow local business Botanically Curious. Great to see local supporting local. The Messy Cookie is a great spot to grab some delicious cookies. Like mentioned the owner is so friendly and almost always has some samples for you to try. They host events including cookie decoration. Also while we did not have any since we had coffee before they had coffee by design coffee available to pair with your cookies. If you are looking for delicious and unique bakery cookies from a local business this is the place to check out. We loved the lavender cookie and enjoyed getting a lemon crinkle again too!

My first opportunity was my SO had actually ordered a green tea cake -- it was so good I couldn't stop shoveling the buttercream into my mouth. This year I opted for a Boston cream pic cupcake selection for the Boston cream pie lover in my life. The inside was a yellow cake base with the standard Boston cream in the middle and a hardened chocolate shell over cream on top. I made a special request for some lettering and they came packaged in a box that allowed for complete stability of the cakes. I accidentally left them out in a cold area prior to serving but they turned out totally fine! I would have normally done a regular Boston cream pie but circumstances made cupcakes an easier option. Will be trying the full cake next time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area -- ordering, customizing, payment, and pick up were all insanely easy.
