Located in Bloomington ,this casual brew pub is kid friendly serving up some great IPAs,stouts and sours. We stopped in for a light dinner driving back from St. Louis. It was very crowded but luckily we found a table. I tried their Logger lager and it was very light and refreshing. My wife had an Orange seltzer. We shared their Beef Birria Nachos which were delicious. Also ordered a side of onion rings for only 2.00. Its a fun place with many different pictures of Beavers. The Lil Beaver is so cute I even bought one of their many tshirts! Definitely will be back when doing another road trip along I55.

Classic brew pub with great beer and good food. M wife and I were hiking around downtown Bloomington and decided to stop in for lunch. Cute place with great Beaver themed art and dog friendly. Friendly service and great beer selection for all tastes. My wife's barrel aged stout was just right; not too heavy or sweet. My Hazy IPA was excellent. We shared boneless wings, a bowl of taco soup and a Cuban sandwich and chips. Chips could use a bit more salt, but were OK. Everything else was very good. Would definitely go back.

Lil Beaver is a great local brewery in Bloomington, IL! They have a great selection of draft beer and a food menu. Also they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating! I ordered a double smashburger with fries. Only minor complaint is the tomato and raw onion cut fairly thicker than my liking. Great place to hangout with friends!

Highlights: & Nice hidden gem in Bloomington & Great service Amidst the many chain restaurants on Veterans, this place has a lot of personality (leaning into the beaver theme). Service: Good service while also being friendly. Our group of eight ordered then they let us add a table with a ninth arrived. Despite us all moving seats after ordering, the process of receiving food was smooth. Food: Patty melt with side salad. The side salad costs extra (normally fries or onion rings), which prowasnt worth it. I wish there were other veggies options, but that's okay. Patty melt was pretty good.

The food was good but the atmosphere is amazing. We took our kids and we were happy with the selections available for food. We look forward to going back! I love that you can order via the app while there so it's more convenient for your group.

Only stopped in to try a quick beer. It was really busy but I was served very quickly at the bar. There was not anywhere to sit but one of the hostesses offered to grab me a barstool while I had my drink. The beer was delicious and the food I saw looked good as well. The area was very open, trendy and sporty and I noticed several TV's playing sports and lots of smiles on the faces of the patrons. I'll be back to try the food.

Shrimp Beaver Bowl can get in a wrap or a bowl. Highly suggest the blackened shrimp bowl! Soo good

Always great place for good food, great staff, and quick service. Never disappoints. Join their club to enjoy some awesome free tastes each month.

Everyone loves a lil beaver... This place has been on my list for years since I first heard of it. The name alone was enough for me to go and check it out. Emily and I made plans to come here on a day we both had off and both were in the mood for beers. We ordered our drinks and took a seat inside. There is a back patio/beer garden where you can enjoy the weather but we just got done walking around outside and needed to cool down. Plus it smelled like rain was coming based on how the air smelled. I ordered their Kolsch due to it being a favorite of mine and they are relatively hard to find. I was excited to get it and Emily was excited to try a flight of beers herself. While we sat there and discussed our beers, we both came to the conclusion that we weren't exactly digging our beers. My Kolsch tasted almost acidic like a cider than a bitterness of a Kolsch. Maybe that's basing it off the Canoe Paddler (R.I.P) by Leinenkugel but I was expecting a deeper heavier taste than a lighter cider. It was good in its own right but when expecting something else, it was the smallest of let downs. Emily ordered a flight of beers of what she thought sounded good and she was equally let down to some degree. I tried each of her drinks and based on what they should've been, I was feeling the same as her. All the beer wasn't bad but for what it said it was... it just tasted a bit off. I will say that the bartenders were beyond great and friendly. They visited our table multiple times to make sure we were good on our drinks. The main seating area we were in was nice and I loved the various beaver artworks on the walls that were all based on famous images. My favorite being the Bernie Sanders sitting on a chair with mittens on. I really dug the vibe of this place, the humor, the great customer service and overall aesthetics of the place. It was just a bit of a bummer that the beer was just... not hitting the right notes. This won't stop me from ever coming back should I be in the area.

What's not to like? Great atmosphere, food, service, and beer ! I like the indoor outdoor option here. The lil beaver is very cute and cheeky We ordered the wings with the parm garlic on the side. Sooooo crunchy and good! The blackened shrimp wrap was massive and delicious and the onion rings were crisped to perfection! Our waitress was so attentive and nice! She gave us several suggestions that were awesome. They have a massive list of beer. I would suggest a flight. We will be back !

Best burger in a while with great onion rings. Oh, get ALL the dipping sauces!

Whenever you get the chance go to Lil Beaver Brewery! Everything was great. Choice of beers, flight sampling and lunch, oh my. The burger was delicious with some of the best bacon I have ever enjoyed, YUM! We even got a 4 pack of beer that was not on draft to take home. We sat at the bar and the bar tender was very attentive without being over bearing. The space is very open and very nice. Plenty of parking. Thank you one and all at Lil Beaver!

Birria tacos with chips/salsa

First time eating and sampling at this brewery. Very nice outdoor patio with ample seating and good sized indoor area as well. Many good menu options but we settled on the pretzel bites with beer cheese dip as an appetizer, and then the birria tacos with chips and the cubano panini with onion rings. The beers were really good. Wait staff very helpful with food and beverage choices. Serving sizes are LARGE. Pretty good acoustics inside the brewery so easy to converse at the table. We enjoyed food and drink. Will be back on our next trip through town.

Stopped here for lunch. Our services was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is lively and modern. The food this time was terrible. Everything was so greasy and bland. I could only eat a quarter of my sandwich. It was horrible. My husband ate only half of his meal as well. I think we're going to pass on future visits when it comes to the food.

When it comes to atmosphere, I would consider this more of a restaurant that serves their own beer than just a brewery vibe. They do have cute/funny beaver decor everywhere, and there were lots of families/kids. It's a large space packed with tables (and a cute patio too for when it gets nicer.) The menu looked good, but we really just came for the beer. That being said, the cheese curds and pretzel bites were great table "shareables" and it came with a very generous portion of delicious white queso (also a choice of house beer cheese.) Like any good brewery, they offer a flight so that you can sample a wide array of their beers. (They also have their own ciders/seltzers for all you non-beer drinkers.) We like trying fun & different beers so we got the Concord Vanilla Wainbows Milkshake Pale Ale, the Key Lime Pie Milkshake Pale Ale, the Coffee Boombastic Cream Ale, and the Lil Hairy Cherry Milk Stout. We enjoyed them all and there was a good deal for a pitcher, so our group also opted to get just the normal Wainbows New England Pale Ale to share.

The rest of the beers include IPAs as well as wheat beers in flavors such as blueberry and peach. For sure we could come here again. It's located on Empire Street in a shopping plaza. We enjoyed all of our stops, but Keg Grove continued getting recommendations from locals. As a result, we had to stop by. And, in the end, Keg Grove WAS our favorite! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a kind warm welcome from the bartender. The space was also welcoming. It was wide open, clean, and spacious. My husband each got our own flights (see pictured). We loved all 8 of the beers that we got, but here were our 4 favorites: 1. #3 Malo Pina Colada Wheat, 2. #1 Holey Jeans Blueberry Wheat with a sugar rimmed glass, 3. #11 Love is Love Orange Guava Passionfruit Hard Seltzer, and 4. #7 Cornfuzed Corn Ale. There was not a bad beer and there were several more we would have loved to try. We ended up getting a 4 pack of the Hokey Jeans because the Malo was sold out. Prices are great, portions are reasonable, and presentation was solid. There was nothing to complain about and much to praise. We will definitely be back at Keg Grove the next time we are in town! Thanks for a great visit!

A little helper helped make this visit great…read more Aside from visiting coffeehouses, Emily and I like to hit up local breweries for a drink or two. After some shenanigans all day, we needed a few beers before heading back home for the night. We dropped in right after open and there were already a few patrons inside. We took a few minutes to look over the menu and then took our beers outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. We initially sat at one of the round tables but Emily wanted to break out my pub kit (its a little container I keep in my car full of card and dice games), so we hopped on over to a picnic table. We played some Uno while sipping beers and talking about nothing. I got a hazy IPA called Little Helper and Em got a blonde called Holla Atcha. We both sampled each other beers and while I liked hers, Em loved mine. So much so that for our second beer, she got the Little Helper. I decided to get the Cannonball Comin' since it was another hazy IPA. While it was really good, we both gave Little Helper the edge on being tastier and hitting that sweet spot on a gorgeous day. Before we left, we hit up the merch stand. They had plenty of shirts, hats, stickers, magnets and various other things. I wasn't feeling any of their shirts but did get a sticker and magnet. Emily got herself a sticker that was Grateful Dead-themed. As we were slowly wrapping up our visit, the place started picking up and getting busy. This location was a bit removed from everything. It reminded me a bit of Evergreen Farm Brewing in that it was quiet and sitting outside was very enjoyable. White Oak was a great stop and a great way to end a day in Bloomington. I'll definitely be back for some more beer and maybe a shirt (or more stickers and magnets). Stay frosty!

This is attached to another building and there's a pretty long hall to get into the actual brewery, and there's a Mexican restaurant right next to this too. As for the beer, it was good. It's about $5 a pint. That's a pretty good price for a craft brewery like this. I had the Citrus Wheat, which is a wheat ale. We also tried a Schwarzbier. Good German style of beers.
