Nice place, clean and friendly. You can enjoy your beer while watching people play the adjacent three par golf course. Or, have a great time with friends.

I'm in lager love! For lagers, I've tried Casper's Vienna and the German king of lagers IMO - Schwarz. I've also tried Dunkelweiss (an ale). All of these by Casper are excellent examples of German style beer. All were absolutely well balanced, smooth and DELICIOUS! The owner's education and decades as a chemist absolutely comes through loud and clear. Many times new, small brewers start off 'meh' and make improvements. But Casper has hit a home run right out of the dugout on all three of these beers. No other area brewery has a focus on German styles and I was so excited to get over to Casper. And I'll be back very soon for one of their 10 drafts! They encourage bring your own food since they aren't serving any as of this review. Las Margaritas restaurant is next door and will deliver into the tap room. Casper plans to have occasional food trucks in the future.

We hosted my sister's bridal shower here this past weekend and I can't say enough great things. When we visited the brewery in January to see if it would be a space we would want to host the shower, we of course had questions and the bartender told us to email the owner, David. He responded to my email within minutes and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We've exchanged several emails between picking the date and the date of the event and he was always so helpful and accommodating! We brought in all our own food and decor, but used the delicious Casper drinks. The bartender on the day of our event was so helpful and friendly and did a great job. If you're looking to host an event, I can't recommend Casper enough. Beautiful space, friendly staff, and amazing drinks!

Drive all the way out here and they were closed on a Saturday night!!! Very disappointing as this was family weekend for ISU students.

It's okay does not really compete with other local breweries. Probably a good place to host a gathering as it is located in a golf shop

They concentrate mainly on German style beers unlike the other local places that are mostly ales.

Far away enough from the craziness of the college campus and downtown bars but still not too far away. They have events and food trucks, so there's some good times to be had. A brewery that's located in a shopping plaza with a patio and indoor area. It's bigger than it looks. There's arcade games and even more tables upstairs. For sure anyone can find something fun. It's about $7 a pint. Last time I got the Show Me Your Stem. Good one. This is a pumpkin pie wheat. On the rim is graham crackers. The rest of the beers include IPAs as well as wheat beers in flavors such as blueberry and peach. For sure we could come here again. It's located on Empire Street in a shopping plaza. There's no food menu but usually there's a food truck.

We enjoyed all of our stops, but Keg Grove continued getting recommendations from locals. As a result, we had to stop by. And, in the end, Keg Grove WAS our favorite! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a kind warm welcome from the bartender. The space was also welcoming. It was wide open, clean, and spacious. My husband each got our own flights (see pictured). We loved all 8 of the beers that we got, but here were our 4 favorites: 1. #3 Malo Pina Colada Wheat, 2. #1 Holey Jeans Blueberry Wheat with a sugar rimmed glass, 3. #11 Love is Love Orange Guava Passionfruit Hard Seltzer, and 4. #7 Cornfuzed Corn Ale. There was not a bad beer and there were several more we would have loved to try. We ended up getting a 4 pack of the Hokey Jeans because the Malo was sold out. Prices are great, portions are reasonable, and presentation was solid. There was nothing to complain about and much to praise. We will definitely be back at Keg Grove the next time we are in town! Thanks for a great visit!

After some shenanigans all day, we needed a few beers before heading back home for the night. We dropped in right after open and there were already a few patrons inside. We took a few minutes to look over the menu and then took our beers outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. We initially sat at one of the round tables but Emily wanted to break out my pub kit (its a little container I keep in my car full of card and dice games), so we hopped on over to a picnic table. We played some Uno while sipping beers and talking about nothing. I got a hazy IPA called Little Helper and Em got a blonde called Holla Atcha. We both sampled each other beers and while I liked hers, Em loved mine. So much so that for our second beer, she got the Little Helper. I decided to get the Cannonball Comin' since it was another hazy IPA. While it was really good, we both gave Little Helper the edge on being tastier and hitting that sweet spot on a gorgeous day. Before we left, we hit up the merch stand. They had plenty of shirts, hats, stickers, magnets and various other things. I wasn't feeling any of their shirts but did get a sticker and magnet. Emily got herself a sticker that was Grateful Dead-themed. As we were slowly wrapping up our visit, the place started picking up and getting busy. This location was a bit removed from everything. It reminded me a bit of Evergreen Farm Brewing in that it was quiet and sitting outside was very enjoyable. White Oak was a great stop and a great way to end a day in Bloomington. I'll definitely be back for some more beer and maybe a shirt (or more stickers and magnets). Stay frosty!
