I used Lightwave to install a 50amp breaker connected to a NEMA 14-50 Outlet in my garage and mount my new Chargepoint EV Car charger. I called multiple companies to get estimates and Lightwave was very response and answered all my questions. They were also the only company that said they would use Copper wire instead of Aluminum. It was a pretty long run (approx 45 feet) from my Electrical panel in my laundry room to the front of the garage. The electrician did a great job installing the Outlet and mounting my Charger and everything is working great. Only reason I docked 1 star was for the wall patch job. (Ok they aren't painters) I knew they were going to rough patch the ceiling but it was so bad, the painter I had pretty much had to remove all their work and redo it from scratch. So it ended up costing a lot more money then I had expected. read more

Don't use these folks. They took my money when the job was finished and when it failed county inspection then would not not return my calls texts or emails or assist me fixing the issues. I had used them previously and had a good experience with them, so I hired them again for an EV charger project. I contacted them by email, phone and text for assistance in resolving the issues. Lightwave Services is a family run electrician service. I had a variety of items to take care of: adding new outlets, adding a can light in a closet, a new power tap for a new doorbell camera transformer, replace a ballast, replace an outdoor outlet in a covered enclosure and put another outdoor outlet onto a rugged ground post. They came in a day to take care of a priority item and then came back to do all the rest. Very friendly, efficient and reasonably priced service. I reached out to Lightwave to have two ceiling fans installed in my townhome. I used yelp to find them and Barb was very quick with responses. The quote I received was very reasonable and they were available the exact day I wanted. The guys showed up on time and were professional. They walked me through everything and even installed new switches on the walls so one can control the fan and one controls the light. This was included and without me asking so I was very happy. I had three outlets that were not working in my house, none of them were GFI outlets. I wrote to lightwave services requesting a quote and they wrote back that I should check if they are GFI and whether one may be tripped. I went downstairs to the fuse box and realized there was an outlet there that was a GFI that I did not think was connected to anything. That was the problem! Abraham & the other 2 guys who came with him were prompt-they even called while on their way to let me know they were running 10 minutes late. The team was friendly, very professional, tidy, & did an amazing job measuring to make sure the recessed lights were equidistant. I was pleasantly surprised that they taped up paint tarps everywhere because of cutting drywall from the ceiling & insulation. I've used electricians from other companies & they've never don't that. We got a hard, driving rain last week that apparently caused moisture in our outdoor outlets, which were original on our house. The moisture triggered the GFCI and circuit breaker, knocking out power to an upstairs bedroom and bathroom. After moving into our SFH in late-2018 and completing huge projects renovating our basement and a hall bath, we had two infuriating, lingering problems: no overhead lighting in our dining room and a guest room ceiling electrical box that could not connect to any modern ceiling fixture we could find. We paid *two* TaskRabbit providers to accomplish absolutely nothing, one of them working on it for it for over an hour. Finally, after two years of staring at these unilluminated ceilings, we solicited recommendations and were referred to Lightwave. We received an estimate almost instantaneously: twelve minutes after submitting a description of requested services through their website. The estimate was far less than we ever expected. We didn't jump on it right away, but when I contacted Lightwave again about a month and a half later, they again responded rapidly and were able to schedule services for a time certain within about a week. Jim and Jeff were *early*. Three and a half years of periodic renovations, installations, repairs, upgrades, etc. to this house - painting, flooring, waterproofing, fencing, landscaping, TV mounting, French drains, basement finishing - and this is the first time anyone has ever been *early*. They got right down to business, and let me know that when it came to the new ceiling electrical box and lighting installation, they had performed the exact same service for another owner of the same model in my neighborhood. They knew exactly how to tackle the project in the least disruptive way possible (i.e., the least drywall removal/replacement). The weird electrical box in the guest room? It was out, replaced and the ceiling fan installed with military efficiency. Three years of staring at an empty box with capped wires sticking out gone in an instant. I threw three other items at them while they were there and they didn't flinch: replacing a broken light switch in a half bath, replacing our porch lights with new sconces, and tracking down the cause of our backyard outlet not working (it was on a circuit with a GFI that we didn't even know existed). The only down side - if there is one - is that they don't finish sanding and repainting the replaced drywall. However, they quite clearly articulated in their email containing their estimate that they wouldn't, so it was in no way a surprise. All of that for $600. We absolutely could not be happier. read more

I've used Lightwave twice, one time for installing new overhead lights and one time for getting some old wiring removed. Both times they were very efficient. It was made clear to me that for both installing lights and removing old wiring/outlets they would only do one layer of drywall patching - no sanding or anything which was fine with me because we are planning to repaint after anyway but just be aware! Jim and his brother did a great job installing our lights in our salon. We couldn't install them during. Business hours and we are open 7 days a week. They came in after we closed on a Saturday night and worked all night to complete the install before the next morning. The assembly of the lights themselves was also complicated. I got an online quote to replace some ancient plug in ceiling fans for my townhouse in Springfield and Barb got right back to me with a fair quote. I was concerned with one of the fans since it was 20 feet up above a loft area with nothing to prop a ladder against. They came prepared and got the job completed with the right size ladder. They had to hard wire some of the plug in fans, but the cost still remained fair after the work was completed.
