Last time I went was a Friday shortly before close and when I got home, I realized they had listed my coolant as low but didn't offer to tip it off since apparently it's an extra charge. But since we needed to drive to Missouri the next morning, I didn't want any chances with low coolant. I was annoyed but when I returned first thing Saturday morning and explained the situation, Rose was extremely apologetic (despite not being involved the day before) and immediately filled the coolant, explaining it was barely low and the indicator is a little over zealous. She was so understanding and helpful that it erased my anger and brought the review back to 5 stars. Note: I use auto lights and they turned them off. I noticed right away but it's something to always check after taking a car to dealers or jiffy lube etc. and return to automatic if you use that feature.

I go to the people who work on my brakes . So I went back to Windy City Muffler N Brakes after calling ahead and they say would top off my brake fluid on my 04 Corolla. And sure it might seem suspicious, that they discovered and fixed the issue and at the same time recommended that my struts in the back were no good any longer than risk losing my tire if I didn't get them fixed. So I left the car with them .. took an Uber home and have them repair the struts. I'm so happy that this place worked on my car and they didn't rip me off .

I have used Mr Vo Auto Clinic for 5 years. He appeared to be competent & honest until May of 2025…read morewhen he replaced the left & right axel shafts on my 2008 Toyota Yaris. The charge for this repair/replacement was $836. When I returned home & pulled out my file for the car I came across a receipt from Sept of 2023 when Mr Vo has done the exact same repair in the car. I had put 5,837 miles on the car since the 1st repair. This axel shaft replacement should last for 80,000 to 100,000 miles. I immediately put a stop payment on my check & called Mr Vo. He told me he had "looked into this" & the manufacturer said the warranty was only good for 24 months. I pointed out that the initial repair took place 1 1/2 years ago (20 months to be exact). Clearly the truth is not his #1 priority. I would give no "stars" if that option was offered. Patronize this shop at your own risk.

Express is located on Elston Ave right across the street from Mariano's & 1 door east of the DMV. I've come to know most of the people in the office as well as the people doing the body & mechanical work. They do solid work at a competitive price. I've lived in this area for over 25 years & to locate a shop that does excellent work so close to home is awesome. For the most part they have been very responsive to my needs both for body & mechanical work. I have recommended a number of my family & friends as the quality of work is unquestionable. For me I appreciate the quick response & turn around time for a most of the time a reasonable price. This is a family run business that does excellent work. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. It leaked oil after I got it back. I had to wait for the following season to bring it in. They didn't charge me to stop the oil leak. Got it back and it kept leaking. Took it back a third time, they replaced the clutch kit cover and that fixed the leak. Didn't charge me this last time either, for parts or labor. Highly recommend this shop!

I called these guys, they hooked me up with a tow company and I had the bike brought to them. It was something ridiculously minor and although they are very busy, they had the bike ready to pick up the next day and only charged me a minimal fee!! I guarantee the local Indian dealership not only would have taken forever I'm certain they would have screwed my on the bill. Thank you Fornarelli, I not only have a new shop I would gladly take either of my bikes to, but I can comfortably recommend them to other people, in fact I took a couple extra cards so I could pass them on to other bikers.

I came here recently for a simple synthetic blend oil change and filter. I was very clear that I wanted nothing else. Unfortunately, this establishment lacks transparency regarding their pricing and service. First, they don't mention that their standard oil change price only covers 5 quarts. Since my car takes 6, they tacked on an extra $10.50 for the additional quart without a heads-up. More frustratingly, the technician took it upon himself to use a more expensive filter, adding another $8.00 to my bill without asking me first. When I questioned the charge, he claimed it was "so it doesn't leak," despite my car having no leaks when I arrived. While he eventually offered to remove the $8 charge after I complained, the issue is the lack of communication. A customer should be able to decide on additional costs before the work is done. If you value transparency and don't want unexpected charges added to your bill, I recommend going elsewhere. read more

No BS, no upsells, and no lies. Took my Acura to the dealership to have it checked out since I bought it 6 months ago. They told me it would cost $1200 to replace all my brake pads as they are in critical condition. I head to Ted's shop on a friend's reco and they tell me "Nah, you've got a good 50% life on these. But we did repair a puncture hole in your back tire and did a complete inspection on your car. All looks good!" These people are godsends! It's a bit of a drive for me but it's 100000% worth it. I came in 45-60 minutes after they opened on a Saturday morning…read moreand the guys told me that it would be a couple hours and I should give them a call round then so they could give me an estimate. When I called back it was an hour or less that they estimated and since I needed to get it done, that was fine with me (the dealership wasn't able to get me in for a couple weeks, so waiting an hour was great). When I got there I pulled out my Kobo so I could read and within 10 minutes of arriving they let me know that since they were waiting on something with another car they'd get me taken care of. I was there for maybe 30 minutes total, a happy surprise. I'll come back to them and I'm glad I've found a place around here for my oil change.
