Clearly a local fave, this place hosts many social opportunities, including karaoke and live bands! We came in because it's what you do when you visit Pender! I got the Gourmet Greens (beets, carrots, toasted pumpkin seeds, feta, green onion with red vinegar dressing). This salad was outstanding! Loved the complexity of the flavors and felt super healthy while consuming their drinks! I also got their Microdose Pizza (white sauce, mozzarella, mushroom, goat cheese - subbed for feta - pesto and truffle drizzle). I'm fairly certain they did not add the feta, pesto, or truffle but regardless, the pizza was really good! The reason we were here was because of their wings, specifically their in house made habanero sauce ones. I tried the sauce and was addicted! It's freaking hot but has so much flavor! I was hooked! I also got their Caesar which they pair with Bee Wild Distillery. They use the Nocturne (Black Garlic) vodka. The vodka is super good but kids of gets lost in the drink! Still good! recommend coming to this place! It's great for food, atmosphere, and the views!

The wait staff and especially the bartender were happy, helpful and all around wonderful people. I especially liked how comfortable the restaurant and bar felt, very nice ambiance. By some small miracle, we secured an outside table. The hostess put up an umbrella to spare us from sunburn while we ate. It took a while for our server to appear, but once engaged, things were speedy. Our server was super friendly and took great care of us. The pub dip was calling my name. The sandwich was a good size and tasty. The meat was cut thicker than I like, though. Also, I paid a $6 upcharge for a side salad that was served in something not much larger than a ramekin. The salad was very fresh and enjoyable, but there wasn't enough of it. My wife went with a smash burger and was thoroughly disappointed with it. Her burger was served cold and just seemed like patties from a grocer's freezer. There were high points. My daughter's Westsider (BLT) sandwich was enjoyable. And we all mooched off her yummy side of fries. Also, her husband's albacore tatami looked and tasted fantastic. Service was fantastic. Our meals were hit or miss, and for the steep prices on the menu, disappointing overall.

Now, it's become a regular haunt when it's a nice day and I'm in the mood for some good pub food, a tasty cool beer and, oh, an impeccable view over a picturesque Skagit field towards towering Mt. Baker. This place is just about perfect! The food here ranges from pub favorites like wings and burgers, to fresh oyster shooters, to tacos, salads, and some delish house-smoked barbeque. They're also known for Friday prime rib nights, which I haven't enjoyed yet but it's on my list. The service here is super friendly. I've been three times this summer and one of the bartenders already recognizes me! It can be a little slow getting served on busy nights, so I recommend ordering as soon as you can if you're hungry. Otherwise, just settle back with your beer from their amazing taplist (or a cocktail from their full bar), enjoy the view from their vast outdoor patio, and take it all in before the rainy season returns.

After starving to death (by choice-that ferry food looked and smelled nasty) on the1 1/2 hour ferry…read moreride from the mainland we were ready for some good food. It's in a gas station parking lot attached to the Howard Johnson. Do not let that deter you, it was really solid pub food, definitely better and sustansibly more affordable than any pub I've eaten at in downtown Victoria. Clearly all of the other diners were locals, at 2pm on a Saturday. We sat in a cozy booth in the bar after being greeted by a very friendly bartender. We ordered two pints of Magners, the shepherd's pie with salad and the beef dip with frites. The shepherd's pie was beef, so technically a cottage pie, which I prefer. It came piping hot, with little scoops of mash on top and a dark colored gravy. Perfection, meaty, creamy, cheesy deliciousness. The salad was quite nice with field greens, cherry tomato halves, carrot, cucumber and green onion with housemade basalmic vinaigrette. The frites were of the super crispy possibly breaded variety, really excellent dipped in the au jus that came with the roast beef dip. I'd definitely come back on my next visit to get really good Irish pub grub without all the touristy prices.
