I looked at her name tag so I know the name but I'll save that for a formal complaint to Lifelabs. She calls the patient name twice and what shocked most of us was when she yells the name of the test the patient was there for. Most of us looked at each other with eyebrows raised. Isn't this considered private information? And you yell it out in front of about 20 people? How unprofessional. Additionally, she told me off for not being able to find my veins. I told her they were shy and I've always had problems when getting blood work done because it takes a while to find them. She scolded me when she found out I didn't drink water. I told her the requisition specifically stated fasting and no food or water for 8 hours prior. She went on and on about how Doctor should have told me to drink water blah blah blah. It was such an uncomfortable encounter and I didn't like it. Not a great way to start the morning!
