Front staff are inept and incompetent. Spent my birthday withdrawing from my medication because they can't bother to ask any of the right contact information or take the number you're calling from to call for online appointments and if you miss it because of their ineptitude you get to wait and withdraw another few days :) judging from years of one star ratings, people should be fired or this clinic should not be given government money. ​ standards of a doctor's office have fallen significantly in the last decade. I came to this clinic last Saturday as a walk-in. I had been waiting in line for a few minutes and when it was my turn, I stepped up to the counter and was quickly scowled at and told to " SIT DOWN- IT WILL BE AT LEAST A 45 MIN WAIT" to where I said to her " I'm sorry, but I have not even spoken to anyone yet and have never been here before. I'm assuming you would like to put my name down at least and get my medicard?" She looks at me with a snarl that is so not becoming on any woman and said " WELL- obviously I'm very busy at the moment, I thought you were someone else" No apology for the nasty attitude whatsoever. This nasty ass blonde needs to take some classes on compassion and manners. Being an MOA myself, I know that this type of behavior and attitude is so disgusting, especially when working within the healthcare industry. People are coming to be seen because they are SICK and do not deserve to be treated like they are of no concern. I ended up not staying because of her horrible attitude and went elsewhere - GLADLY. Also, kind of a junky, cluttered clinic with outdated paper charts wall to wall. Time to upgrade to EMR people! Its 2014! read more

The worst clinic i have ever been to. I have been going the this clinic since they opened and have gradually been getting worse. The close early all the time, when the give you a wait time they are way off. They say 30 min so i come back in 30 and still have to wait another 30. Today i took the day off work so i could finnaly get in to see a doctor and theysaid they were closed because 3 doctors didnt show up. Way to run a business. What a bunch of dildos. I wish there was an option for zero stars. I came in and there was 2 people in the waiting room and the receptionist told me to wait because I will get in quickly. Now I'm writing this review while still in the waiting room. It's now been 1 hr 45 minutes! And I'm not even in a room yet! I told the receptionist about this and there was no apology whatsoever. Horrible. If you can actually get in without taking a day off of work to sit in the waiting room for hours, you will be treated as an assembly line patient. The girls in the front are less than helpful, the doctors treat you like a hypochondriac and can't wait to shoo you out of their office to get to the next patient. Most of the time when I drive into the parking lot, the "Closed" sign is already in the door. You have to wait half a day just to get a prescription filled. It's not like the doctors retest you for anything, they just want to make a buck. read more

Willoughby Medical Centre is absolutely horrible. Every time I have gone in for concerns about my health; this place either is closed, has no doctors on duty with the OPEN sign still up, and the wait times are ridiculous. May as well be diagnosed by a fish than to go to this walk in clinic. read more

If you have a child or infant do NOT bring them here!! I am from out of town and my three month old baby came down with a runny nose and so I thought I should take her down to the clinic near by where I was staying. W After waiting two hours I finally got into a room. The Doctor came in asked what the symptoms were and then wrote a prescription for antibiotics and nasal spray!! She seemed like she was rushing us out. I asked her to please check her chest and just make sure her breathing is okay! My baby started crying and she told me it's hard to hear with all this crying but they seem fine and sent me on my way! I go to the pharmacy and the pharmacist assures me NOT to give this to your baby!!! The baby just has a small cold and this is a STRONG prescription for children over 1 years old!! The nasal spray is dangerous to give to an infant as well!!! Furious, and upset I get my father in law to call the doctor... And she tells him "oh uh well I suspected pneumonia".. WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL ME?? She checked her lungs and told me they were FINE??? Does she know what pneumonia even is?! Anyways, the pharmacist was more helpful and all my baby had was a small cold and now she made a full recovery with no medication! THAT DOCTOR NEEDS TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL!! read more

It's been five years now that I have been going to this clinic and every time I walk in there, it's a cringe-worthy experience! The anxiety starts before I enter. The doctors at this clinic treat you with indifference. They are condescending and always in a hurry to get you out the door. I would advise anyone thinking of going to this clinic to look elsewhere. Some of the things they tell you and do at this clinic are just unbelievable! You are repeatedly told that you can only ask about one problem at a time - I once started to talk to our family doctor at this clinic, a Doctor Soni, about a so-called 'second issue' and he said you need to book another visit to talk to me about that, and then left the room before I could say another word. This was my family doctor, and I was concerned about something related to what I had come to see him about and that was the reaction I got! Even the assistants will take you to a room and ask you what you are there to see the doctor about, and then they do this fake write-up on a page - do they really think we are all a bunch of idiots! Often I have been tempted to tell them that it's a private issue, yet in the interest of being polite and cooperative because we trust that in places like a clinic people are just doing what they need to, I have cooperated and supplied a reason. However, it's so obvious what their intention is - it's to ensure that they put pressure on you not to talk with the doctor about anything else. This silent bullying goes on at every level in this clinic - from the way they craftily give you no option to speak to any of them directly in their telephone options to their overall grumpy, unfriendly, curt way of dealing with you - no personal, friendly connection is permitted. This clinic just screams 'this is a money-making business - we don't want to know you or care about you - we are just here to meet the requirements and get our money." I recently called back to say that I was not happy with the treatment a doctor had given me and asked if I could see her again to request certain blood tests and xrays be done. I was first told she had gone home by a grumpy assistant. I persisted in saying I wanted to see a doctor for another consult and was then told I was only allowed to see one doctor a day! I remained persistent and the assistant then got very irate telling me she didn't make the rules and i shouldn't be getting irritated with her or asking her those questions - so I asked to speak to one of the doctors or whoever was in charge - to which she then let out an exasperated huff of breath and said, oh just come in in an hour and see another doctor! All that unpleasantness and anxiety for someone who is already sick and hoping for a little compassion and sincere care is not how anyone needing medical assistance should feel. It's a deeply troubling thing when doctors who make so much money off the misery and pain of others adopt a take it or leave it attitude. To the doctors and staff of this clinic, I say - No matter how important you think you are, there are always better doctors and better human beings out there and if you keep dishing out this unpleasantness, you will eventually experience the same in one form or the other. Perhaps the lack of good medical professionals in this country will ensure you always have a steady stream of patients but you will sadly not have the blessings and gratitude of the sick people who have passed through your uncaring hands. read more

I can understand the challenges of running a walk-in practice, however I have visited this clinic a few times and have never had a great experience. My appointments are always very late (45 mins +), the doctors have terrible bed-side manor and the staff are very unfriendly. read more

Both my mom and I go to Dr. Desai, and find him to be a caring and compassionate family doctor. Yes, there are long waits, but that is because he is genuinely interested and takes the time to find out exactly what the problem is. I haven't seen the other doctors in this practice, however I highly recommend Dr. Desai for both his bedside manner and willingness to refer you on to a specialist if need be. read more

I've gone here many times, and the only reason I stay is because my family doctor is here. I don't mind my doctor, but the girls who work at the front desk are rude as can be...... I hope they fire them and hire better staff with much more experience in customer service because the young blondes who work at the desk and sit there answering the phones all day are such snobs. read more

I've been going here off and on for the last 10 years....only because it's one of the closest offices around. Last week was when I finally had enough, and won't be going back. I've put up with the rude employees that work there and the messed up hours, but now an hour wait, just to get in to a room is normal for an allergy shot...done. I have now moved on. It's a very busy clinic so don't go by what they state their hours to be. You can show up there an hour after they've opened and they will be closed, or excepting no more patients. I woke up one Sunday morning, I'll be honest, I don't remember exact times here, but I do know they had only been open for half hour. I called the office to let them know I was going to be coming in for an allergy shot. Allergy shots are not like a normal walk in or appointment, as they literally take 1 minute to do, so you should be put in to a room within minutes of showing up so that the doctor, when they are walking by, can quickly come in, give you short, fill out the info and move you along. Well, the snot on the phone tells me they are closed for the day. I ask, "didn't you just open?"...she replied, "yes, half hour ago, but we are now closed for the day and not taking anymore patients". That's a nice work day for them. Anyways, when I first started getting my shots there, I'd usually wait maybe 10 minutes before I'd be shown a room, then another 10 minutes or so before a Dr came by. I can deal with that, but now, it's minimum 30 mins in the waiting room, and minimum 30 minutes in the room waiting for a Dr to show up...then, I have to wait another half hour after the shot to make sure my body doesn't react and I fall over and die. A 35-40 minute trip to the Dr now is 1.5-2 hours, every time. Last week, I waited over 45 minutes in the wait room and then 50 minutes in the Dr room before I saw anyone. Pathetic. I mentioned this to the Dr a couple months ago and told him that for whatever reason the disgustingly rude East Indian receptionist that works there, kept calling in other walk-ins, who I know showed up and signed in after I did, without an appointment and that I had been sitting in the waiting room almost an hour. He said it wasn't right and that the ladies there had a chip on their shoulder. Damn right they do. Worst staff I've ever encountered, hands down. So, Dr mentions this to the snot receptionist and reminds her that allergy shots have priority because how quick they can get us in and out. She looks at me, rolls her eyes and says "ya, whatever". How does she still have a job? Another issue, is with them rushing you out as soon as a Dr actually gets in the room. I struggled with a lump on my ankle for a couple years and if I did much walking it would balloon up and really hurt. I saw Dr Duplisis (spelling) a couple times about this and eventually talked her in to sending me to a specialist. She just kept telling me to ice it if it swells and to take anti-inflammatories...right. So, specialist appointment happens, she never calls me about the results. I call her a couple months later and they say that they do have them and I "could" come in and get the results if I want. Uhm, duh? Appointment made and I finally get in there. The Dr proceeds to tell me that I didn't have any fractures but that I did have 2 torn ligaments and that is what the lump under my ankle was. Okay great, so now what, I ask her. She kind of looks at me and shrugs, and says, "well, you will just have to deal with it". What? I'm not a Dr but as an athlete, I did know that torn ligaments can be fixed and that I didn't just need to deal with it. So, I mention this to her and she responds that she will see if they can get in touch with a surgeon and see what he recommends. Needless to say, I had the surgery and now my foot is better than ever. This is something that the Dr was telling me just to deal with it and not bother getting it fixed. Ideally, I think this office should be shut down. I know it won't happen because of the amount of people that go there, but it's brutal! I would go elsewhere if you have the chance. read more
