I had a ski accident 4 days ago and was told that a MRI performed by BC Health could take months…read more I've a lot of pain and don't want to give up skiing, so I looked a way to speedy things. Searched Yelp for private MRI in Vancouver and found 2 places. One of them with many reviews and only 2 stars (Argh....) and AIM Medical Imaging with only 2 reviews but both were excellent. I would like to thank Yelp and also the previous reviewers. This clinic is EXCELLENT. I called at 8,35AM and got my exam scheduled to the same day. Clinic is modern, clean and with very friendly staff. After the exam, I went to listen to the doctor who gave me the good news that the anterior crucial ligament (ACL) was not totally torn but....... (Why there is always a "but"???) ... my meniscus had been flipped and are not in the right place. So....I need surgery to be able to walk again. When we left the clinic I was given a pen drive with the images, so I can send for several doctors to listen who is going to perform the surgery. Few hours after the exam I received on my email box the medical report. AIM is also sending all images and report to my Family Doctor. I highly recommend this clinic! Now.....time to search for the best meniscus repair surgeon.....OMG.... Hoping to hit the slopes next year, I wish you all a nice day! :)

We needed to book a lower back and SI joint MRI. I phoned every MRI place in Vancouver and the…read moresurrounding area to get a quote as we needed to do it quickly and privately. This place was the cheapest of them all, and included a consultation with the radiologist after the scan. It was superb!! They organised the scan in less than 24 hours, and the service was impeccable, absolutely flawless. The radiologist provided a really useful initial interpretation of the results, and had them on CD and on a weblink and sent to our family doctor within an hour of the scan.

She showed zero self-awareness about how people might have trouble understanding her for the reasons mentioned above. Overall, I felt rushed and unwelcome. My partner had better luck with the male technician who took his x-rays and had an opposite experience from mine. So, the lack of professionalism and basic good manners seemed specific to her.

I would not recommend going to this clinic under any circumstances based on my experience.

Absolutely horrible humane understanding from the management team…read more I have been suffering with an undiagnosed respiratory infection for 1.5 weeks with symptoms of a fever, chills, hot & cold sweats, runny nose, headache, a horrible cough and I apparently also had pneumonia too according to my Dr who I was finally able to see & seek treatment from yesterday. I had been off work this entire time & have been out pay for 3-days of that time. I had completely forgotten (in my ill state) that I had a scheduled ultrasound today at the No. 3rd Rd facility. When I finally realized, it was 1.5 hours later. Upon realizing this, I called the No 3 Rd office to apologize & to explain the reason why I had missed the appointment & had respectfully asked for their understanding. I received a "too bad" reply from their manager & told that regardless of my ill condition, I will be charged a $50.00 penalty. I pleaded once again while crying over the phone to ask them respectfully to understand that I wasn't in my right mind to do much else other than sleep & stay hydrated let alone remember about this appt. I was met with the cold repeated reply that the penalty will apply. I am able to write this today b/c today is the 1st day that I have been capable of thinking normally after receiving the treatment that I so desperately needed but had to wait to receive due to our present medical care system in Canada. My not having the cognitive ability to cancel the appt within their policy which is a policy designed for a person who is "in their right mind & capable of doing so" is one which needs to be measured by humans - not robots pretending to be humans. Where is the understanding? Especially from a medical facility? In my condition up to yesterday, whereby I was not in my capable mind of acting normally, due to my overwhelmingly impairing symptoms, should be taken into consideration when dishing out "too bad" replies as to their policies of cancellation. This policy should not apply to those in similar situations as it falls outside the realm of "normal conditions" & should be understandably waived for these human frailty reasons (especially by a medical facility). I am shaking my head in surprise, deep sadness & extreme disgust at the level of inhumane treatment I received & will never go back to this facility ever again. I will instead seek the assistance of a facility that has the decency to call themselves human beings who treat people in frail conditions with the care, understanding & attention that they deserve - especially in their time of need. i recommend that NO ONE seek this facilities assistance.

I think these folks missed the meaning of word "care" in healthcare!…read more This is the second time that I have had serious issue with this location's reception staff. They all seem to hate their jobs. No one smiles. They are curt and do not ever offer options. They use an annoyed tone when you ask questions. I think they need to remember that they are a part of a service industry and if they can't handle working happily with people (who are going there because they may have a serious medical issue), then they should really not be the front line of this business. Some serious changes need to be made.

For a diagnostic lab it astonishes me that more people have not noted how comically inaccessible…read morethis place is to someone, like me, who is old, has a mobility/balance problem, arrives by cab and uses a walker. Surely there are others like me. One alights at the garage entrance, not at a front door with Heaven forbid elevators. There are golf carts (I am not making this up) available to drive the patient (and walker) up through the garage to the destination floor. That is just the beginning. After some twists and turns there is a looong corridor to walk before reaching the lab. Repeat to exit once the lab work is done. Then, down at the curb, you get to wait until an Uber driver succeeds in finding that particular Oakridge garage entrance. There were some absolutely lovely Garda people who let me sit under their awning, helped talking with lost drivers and finally went out into the street to guide the Uber. The lab people were helpful and professional, hence the three stars.

What the?!! UNACCEPTABLE My DOCTORS NEVER RECEIVED MY Chest X-RAY RESULTS. I am unwell and no…read morex-rays results means DELAYING MY MEDICAL CARE. It is pretty basic, right. X-rays get taken and then they are to be sent 3 business days to my doctors. I got the x-rays taken on Saturday. Greig Associates at Oakridge didn't send them. What are the workers there doing?!? It is one week later and I still do not know my x-ray results. Doctors need to see x-ray results to know how to treat me. Do I have an infection?!? This is not funny it is fundamental procedure to make sure to send results to my doctors. My results should have been sent to my doctors by Wednesday. Thursday at the latest. BUT NO!!! When I called Greig Associates ONE WEEK 7 days LATER the following Saturday to asked what happened? The receptionist just lied and said it was sent when it wasn't. Ya, sure it was sent only after my doctor requested the results and it arrived to his office Friday. But this does not help me because it is now the weekend and my doctor office is closed so I will have to wait another few days to get the results and get medical care. All the while I keep coughing and not sleeping well. Also, during the x-ray the man taking the x-rays kept asking me to move my shoulders forward and was pushing on my shoulders that made me feel pain. My shoulders are already as forward as far as I can go. Unacceptable all the way around!!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Dr was made aware as to not encourage patients to choose this location. You are putting your health at risk with poor quality care.

Applying is only by their online site. I took a picture of physical requisition paper by smartphone and sent it on their application format. To be honest, it's kinda skeptical place for those medical service. However the service was good. The appointment confirmation call the day before was very cold and not much explanation for the instruction which I almost failed. The receptionist lady was very flexible thankfully. The test room was just regular and clean enough.
