Care quality is poor here. My daughter went for an ultrasound and the technician was so rude. Questioned why she was there, told her the diagnosis that the Dr was investigating wasn't possible (even though she has a documented history) and took less than 5 min to the exam which is significantly less time than previous scans. The report our dr got was 4 lines and didn't even list the area in question. Technicians are not suppose to question or judge the patient or the Dr. Will not waste our time going back here. Dr was made aware as to not encourage patients to choose this location. You are putting your health at risk with poor quality care. read more

As my family doctor is in White Rock, normally and almost automatically my test referrals are sent to Peace Arch Hospital which is very ver far from where I'm living now. I need to ask to change the location for the test. It sounds double process but good part is I could have the test six month earlier than original test in Peace Arch Hospital. It's a nice, clean, big clinic, with 2 separate waiting areas, lots of seating as well as many rooms. Friendly service, and while they do allow drop-in's with a numbering system, best to book one through your doctor. Busy as heck, that door was opening and closing literally every 5 minutes. I came here today for an ultrasound, and I cannot understand the 1-star reviews of this imaging center. When you come here: brace yourself- it can be chaotically busy. Young, old, kids, whole families are in the waiting area. There are two locations for Greig's imaging, but you need to book in advance and be prepared to wait in most cases. There are several parking spots in the back parking lot, and some metered and free street parking nearby. You should allow some time for parking, though I have never had a problem finding parking any time coming here. It's at the busy intersection of Victoria Dr and E.41st- so lots of transit options close by. I was surprised how upbeat and smiling front reception was - I would NOT be if I had to work here. Too many frowning, impatient and worried people sitting fuming, waiting to get their tests done ... I was checked in quickly and efficiently and only had to wait about 10 minutes, thank goodness. The staff is very fast and efficient at getting people in, forms in, and processed- the pace is in here is fast and furious some days. My technician was super friendly, very gentle and I could not have asked for better care during my procedure. She cheerfully showed me where to lie, which clothing to remove, and once it was done~ told me where the washroom was, so I could use it before the next test we had to complete. Once we were done, she confirmed my family doctor would have the results in two days, and told me I was free to get dressed and leave. Yes, it's super annoying to wait weeks for an appointment - only be kept waiting at the time of your booking, but this health care today, unfortunately. Certainly is NOT any fault of the staff working here. They appear to be open at 7:30 am -9 pm Mon thru Thursday, plus they are open on Saturdays- so their hours are VERY flexible for the working population to get their medical testing done. Julie at the front desk is absolutely horrible. I had an injured foot needed to get an x-ray done. I walk in and she just asks me to take a token and have a seat - no basic courtesy of even acknowledging my presence - she did not even look up! Now I would imagine they would need my details as they mention that they will check your MSP every visit - this was my first time and she did not ask for any information. I waited for a few minutes and realized folks who came later than me were serviced - I went back to her and then she realized she did not have any information. At this point I would imagine an apology was coming but no - she still continued to look down and not acknowledge my presence. This customer service at its worst! I had my 32 weeks pregnancy ultrasound done here and despite having an appointment, I didn't get called in until 40 minutes later The technician that I had was beyond rude. She was an older woman named Marta, please avoid her at all cost. I knew she was going to be a B the moment I saw her face. She just seemed annoyed at doing her job 1. She was digging aggressively into my belly to try and get a good view of the baby 2. She yelled at me because I forgot to put my phone on silent and my alarm went off.. "CAN YOU TURN OFF THAT THING WHATEVER IT IS. IT'S BEEN RINGING SINCE FOREVER. You're suppose to have your phone on silent in the first place!!" 3. She rushed the whole process when showing my husband and I the screen as if we were expected to make out the image ourselves and didn't bother explaining what was what 4. Printed us crappy pictures for the sake of having pictures rather than getting a good shot of the baby If you're going to be in this profession at least have a little bit of compassion and patience for your clients! read more

I should have yelped this place and gone elsewhere. Like many other reviewers here, I made an appointment and was told to drink a litre of water 2 hours before appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early but was then made to wait for 30 minutes past the scheduled time. Not a pleasant experience when you've got a bladder screaming in protest and reception is telling you they couldn't give me estimate as to how much longer I'd have to wait. Conveyer belt atmosphere. They seem more interested in getting care cards or payment info from patients than in the patients themselves. Reception staff had a shitty attitude. Would avoid in future. read more

I will not recommend to go to Graig and Associate for an ultrasound! My husband waited in the lobby almost all time. The person wasn't friendly. She took the measures but didnt show me the screen and didnt speak at all. Even when I was asking questions... She disappeared for 20 minutes telling me that she was going to see the radiologist so I imagined everything and it was so long that I get worried. My husband came back with her. She ended by showing us the baby for 2 minutes. She gave us a ridiculous picture that is not larger than a business card.... So don't go to Graig and Associate !! We went the first time at St Paul hospital and it was awesome! But our baby is in good health and active! He is perfectly formed and must now grow for the next 4 months... So we are happy and it is the principal!! read more

These reviews are all for fetal ultrasound. Greig is a full service radiology lab. In 2004, I found a lump in my breast. Within two hours, I had a diagnostic mammo, an ultrasound, and two biopsies - all on a rush and on the Friday afternoon before a long weekend. The samples were then sent by rush courier to the Cancer Agency. This urgent action saved my life. I had five (!) tumours, one in the breast, four in the lymph nodes in my arm. Surgery, chemo, radiation, and continued monitoring from Greig has increased my survival time. While expectant parents are viewing the new life they have created, down the hallway others are fighting for their lives. Just a thought for when your appointment might be delayed. Greig and Associates, located on Victoria Drive at 42nd, is the lab of choice for many breast cancer patients and survivors. read more

I was really surprised at all of the negative reviews on this place...my visit couldn't have gone better. I was in for an "dating" ultrasound and had drunk a liter of water beforehand (as per the instructions they give you) and was so near-to bursting I was in actual physical pain. Although it was very busy, they run like a well oiled machine and actually got me in 20 minutes ahead of schedule! (which as any pregnant woman will tell you is a mercy of the kindest nature). My tech was fantastic, I had gone in there with the expectation that she wouldn't tell me anything and I would have to just endure the scan and wait for my next doctor visit to get the results. It was exactly the opposite.She was very knowledgeable and put me at total ease. She told me that everything looked great and was where it was supposed to be, told me how far along I was and how big the baby was. Although my husband had to wait in the lobby for the initial exam, as soon as she was finished, she called him in and we both got to see the baby for the first time together. She showed us where it was, and told us what the heartrate was and printed out a black and white picture of the little thing. The bathroom was directly across from the exam room too, so I was able to make a mad dash for it as soon as the consult was over. I can't think of a single way they could have made this visit a better experience. I'm super impressed all the way across the board with this place. read more

I'm surprised with myself for not consulting yelp for this place; I trusted my doctors recommendation when making my appointment for my 20 week detailed ultrasound. Hindsight is 20/20 As others yelpers have mentioned the setup is very much like a deli counter regardless of the fact that you've made an appt and your bladder is about to burst. On the wall is now a sign stating the family members for obstetrical ultrasound will have to wait until later as their presence may cause a distraction to the technician. My guess is talking to the client and showing them the screen is also a distraction. After 30 mins of uncomfortable and sometimes painful prodding the tech called my husband in and showed us the blue that is our baby and told us the gender. Nothing we were able to see actually confirms the gender. I was shocked not to even hear the heartbeat; only saw the flutter of it beating. After I asked to know the heart rate, the tech went to a different screen to tell me. After all was said and done the tech said she was going to get some photos for us. After waiting 15 mins she returned with huge 8.5x11" blurry pics printed on regular paper. Really makes this highly anticipated u/s less special. I wish I had gone to BC Women's. read more

Know that you have a choice of which place you use - you can ask for another facility from your doctor. Our first appointment went well - our first pregnancy. Found it odd that I couldn't join my partner in the room while they were taking screenshots but went along with it found out later this is not common practice at other ultrasound places. Second one didn't go so well. Tech did not explain that the second appoint usually takes longer and we had a new tech who struggled at the beginning and had to bring in another tech. After being 30 minutes behind schedule my partner was in the room by herself for over 45 minutes, they finally let her get up and use the washroom and come see me. They kept telling her that they needed to take one last photo of the heart and couldn't find it, which obviously made her worry. After walking around, the baby repositioned itself and they were able to finally get the photos they needed. They should be more supportive of their patients and help put their minds at ease especially for first time parents. They do this job everyday so its second nature, it's not like that for pregnancy. Allow partners in the room for support - there is absolutely no reason you can't have this - turn the monitor if you don't want them seeing. Recommendation: try a different place. read more

This is an office you come to have a medical procedure done. As such I usually have a few expectations, all of which were well met. - booking: the receptionists on the phone are polite and efficient and will also take the time to make sure any follow-up testing is booked at an appropriate time. You will be informed at booking of any preparatory procedures (drink water, bring health insurance info, cancellation fee). - arrival: if it's busy there is a sign that tells you to take a number. Take it. Sit down. Wait. If it's empty they will help you right away. Show up on time. Both appointments I waited less than 10 minutes. -cleanliness: they will wear gloves, the rooms are clean. -procedure: both technicians I had were friendly and good at their jobs. Images were taken efficiently. They will tell you when any family members can come in so they can point out any special details and you can ask questions. There is no point in having a family member in there for preliminary measurements because they are gathering information and IMHO I'd rather they concentrate on doing those accurately before being bombarded with questions. All in all I had no complaints. I came, I scanned, I left, and everything that needed to be done was done. We were given an 8x11" print out of our images which is a perfect size for putting on your bulletin board. Everyone that works there was pleasant during my visits and my husband was also satisfied with the overall experience. read more

The place is clean throughout, the front desk lady is efficient and helpful. That's why I give it ONE star, otherwise, it's a very negative experience. This place is NOT accessible friendly! So if you have any mobility issue, go somewhere else! I took my wheelchair bound father there for x-ray yesterday afternoon. The parking lot in the rear has no Handicapped parking, and it's not attached to the building, so there is no direct access to the building, plus, it usually full of Victoria Drive shoppers, or those going to the bank next door. I've watched them. Then you'll have to navigate the rather bumpy sidewalk to the front door. The door! It has NO automatic door, it is heavy AND it opens in (which, I believe is against public safety rules - front doors should open OUT). They have put a "ramp" at the front door since it use to have a step up. What a joke ramp it is!! It's less than 12" "long" so it's very steep. When we left, someone had to PULL open the door for us. What if a patient is by him/herself?!?! The interior hallways are narrow, hard to navigate a full sized wheelchair. The x-ray room/bed had NO apparatus to assist the patients in getting on or off the bed, and none for them to turn on their side or back. C'mon! Your clients are all "sick" and/or injured, so a little assistance to make their movements easier is not too much to ask for. I had to lift, pull, turn my dad around several times, and he's heavier than me! So, yes, *I* have sprained my back too!!! I am now in bed rest too!!! So, you betcha I'm pissed off!!! I'm sure you know some Occupational Therapist here or there, so get their opinion in equipping your rooms for your patients. In any case, I'll never come back here again. read more

It's a strange & disconnecting experience to get an ultrasound where the techs do not tell you what's going on. They would not even give me a picture. They say they send results to your doctor who may receive them by the end of the week, then after the weekend when they get around to it they may call you to discuss it, way after the fact. The techs don't have the ability to tell you much of anything or make a diagnosis even though their entire career is looking at ultrasounds? Huh? I just find it all very weird and a very cold, disconnecting set up. I'd prefer to have my ultrasound explained to me while it's happening... I'd prefer to have my ultrasound done by someone who is able to explain it while it happens... I prefer to be able to know what's going on. I would also suggest the technicians receive more training on people skills. read more

I had both my fetal dating ultrasound (7 weeks) and my Nuchal translucency ultrasound (12weeks) at Greig. On both occasions, the staff were very efficient and friendly. The first one I was in and out in 30 min total including getting my pictures. The NT exam (same time of day) I waited almost 45 min to get in (while desperate to pee) and the scan took much longer but in the end the picture was much better of course, so worth the wait. The clinic itself is rather old and grungy but can't be helped I suppose. My 20 wk ultrasound is at BC women's which will give me something to compare Greig to. I hear they charge for pics there but maybe it's better quality? At Greig it is just a paper photocopy picture but everyone still liked it! read more

The phone customer service center are SUPER STU*D. 1.They didn't send my ultrasound image to my doctor.If the doctor or me want to see the image, they need another doctors note.It means I need to go to the doctor office second time , line up for another 30 mins to get a doctor's not, then I can bring it to the Greig Associates to request a release. 2. Different representative tell me a 3 different version of story. I viewd the 3rd time, and I still cant get MY OWN FR**KING ULTRASOUND RECORD. 3.I dont care to pay additional $25 for the fr**king DVD , just dont waist my time. read more

I'm not sure why Greig and Associates have gotten such low reviews but my experience doing my 20 week ultrasound was great. The facility looks newly renovated. The reception was very quick to register me in and for the most part, the appointment was only about 5 mins late to start. The ultrasound technician was very kind and friendly. Knowing that I had a full bladder, she let me go to the washroom shortly after doing the part that required the full bladder. So I was comfortable for the rest of the ultrasound. She was very kind and let me know throughout the ultrasound that everything was looking good. And when they brought my husband in to view the baby with me, she explained what we were looking at and let us really have a good look at our baby! She was thorough and very warm and friendly. Overall, I think the experience was great. We got a print out with 4 pictures of our little babe. I actually think the paper print out is great because it won't fade over time like the other glossy paper print outs you may get at other ultrasounds, and can be laminated if you want. read more

Just an humiliating experience!!! I was asked to drink lots of water before going and when they call me into the room. I already can't hold the pee ANYMORE ! The technician (JENNIFER) told me to lie down and wait. I already told her I can't hold the pee anymore. She didn't say a word and left the room. I was left there for almost 5 mins and I really can't hold anymore. I opened the door and ask for help. Another technician come back, give me a paper cup and told me ' Jennifer wants you to pee in the cup and come back to room 6. ! I'm confused but I just can't hold anymore. Therefore I rush to the toilet and pee 'a cup of pee' ! I already thought it's not right .... the moment I open the washroom door with 'my cup of pee', I already saw the can't hold the laugh and just yell to me 'throw it away' !!! Holy .... I was sooooo mad that I try to complain. Then a doctor there force me back to the room and don't want me to talk loud. She was there all these time when the 2nd technician give me a paper cup. It was ridiculous !!!! The doctor said the 2nd technician is just trying to help ! She meant you can release a cup of pee and then hold the rest and come back ! Fuxx !! The 2nd technician should give instruction clearly !!! Not Jennifer wants you to pee in the cup and come back to room 6 ! This is such an humiliating scene ! During this difficult time of dealing with a pandemic, I was told to come back again for my pregnancy ultrasound! My tech was very inexperienced at getting all the measurements/pictures and she didn't know how to deal with this situation. Asking a lady to come back while she is half way through her pregnancy without consulting another tech or the radiologist is a very immature decision in the middle of a pandemic! I would have not questioned her decision if we were not in a middle of a crisis with this pandemic! The thought of me going back outside and exposing myself to all the other patients waiting in the waiting area scares me! Get a better protocol! People shouldn't be told to come back again and again which increases exposure! You clinic should at least try to resolve issues at hand during that time via getting help from another tech/Radiologist or making the pregnant lady wait and walk round for 20-30mins! Had an appointment at 8:30am, asked to arrive 10 minutes early which we did. As I am pregnant, I was told to drink 4-5 cups of water and only got in to see the tech at 9:30am so was dying for the loo. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I also went to get an ultrasound here, and had no problems what so ever. They were very professional and my doctor seemed happy with the images. I had an appointment and only waited about 5 minutes. Note- the technician does leave the room for about 5-10 minutes, and asks you to wait there. Don't be alarmed. They are just going to check that the images are clear enough, so that you don't have to go back another day (this was not made clear to me before hand, she just said "wait here, I'll be right back", so I was a bit worried, but when she came back she told me that she had been to check the quality of the images). But aside from that I had a perfectly fine experience here. True- they were not "super friendly", but they WERE very professional and very focused on what they were doing- and when I'm having medical test done, I prefer my technician to be focused rather than chatty! ;-) read more

I know here in Canada medical check up is free, so many people would tell me not to complain. But I had two pregnancy experiences in Hong Kong and my Dr would: 1. Do everything in his clinic, I didn't have to run to million places. And so I only go to medical checkup once a month, not once a month to the Dr and then being given a piece of paper to go here and there afterwards in that month. 2. Do ultrasound in his clinic, never once told me because my kids were there he couldn't concentrate. In fact he was communicating the whole time. 3. Do the ultrasound and know his machine, not just some technicians, who didn't even turn up the volume to listen to heartbeats and told me because she was distracted she couldnt hear. 4. Ask me to wait a little while, not to reschedule when my bladder is not full enough for the ultrasound. I had to go in at 7:30am, just woke up an hour before that how could I get two hours of liquid in my bladder? 5. Communicate facts without an attitude, not complaining in front of me the whole visit because he couldn't see clearly through the ultrasound. She could have told me to move around and try again because of the baby's position. 6. Welcome my entire family into his office, not complaining about me not hiring a babysitter. He never gave me any hard feelings. read more

My husband and I went there for our first ultrasound last week. This is my second viable pregnancy and after reading the reviews I wasn't expecting much. The waiting room was clean and busy. The staff at the front desk were quick and efficient. We had made an appointment and only had to wait a few minutes before the tech called my name. OUR TECH WAS AMAZING!!! In 5 years of ultrasounds she was by far the BEST tech I have ever had!!! I was nervous about this being the first ultrasound for this pregnancy (after previous losses) but she made me feel completely at ease, was friendly and professional, chatted with me about my previous pregnancies, and was direct in answering my questions. My husband wasn't allowed in for the initial measurements but as soon as she had the info she needed she called him in from the waiting room and spent time showing us everything we wanted to see. This place clearly does big volume but our experience was great! Simple, no fuss, and easy. I would recommend them for anyone looking for an ultrasound and we will definitely go back there again. read more

I went for my detailed ultrasound at 21 weeks. The office was busy and the ultrasound technician was not friendly. My husband had to wait in the lobby area as she did all the measurements, she would not even let me see the screen. After she completed her measurements which took about 10-15min. They called my husband into the room and showed us the baby for about 2min. They would not reveal the gender of the baby and stated it would be included in the doctor's report. For this to be such an exciting time for new parents, we are counting down the days until this ultrasound appointment to be able to see our baby and hopefully find out the gender. The technician was so quick and I did not understand why she did not allow my husband to be in the room or for me to see the screen. It turned out to be a great disappointment and I do not recommend anyone going to this place for a pregnancy ultrasound. read more

I have been here for diagnostic ultrasounds twice (and thankfully okay both times). Once you're in the ultrasound room it's fine, the rooms are clean and the technicians I've had were both competent and kind. The waiting room is a bit of a zoo though, and you can expect to wait well past your appointment time - I waited at least 45 minutes on my last visit. I am sympathetic to the fact that sometimes places run behind schedule because of urgent cases or unexpected findings, but it's super uncomfortable (painful even) to wait that long when you're told to come in with a full bladder. read more

This place has really changed. I went for a mammogram today. The receptionist was extremely rude and impolite to me and other patients. She did not even hold a smile on her face. Then when it was my turn to go in for the exam, I was told to undress in front of the technician and quickly move into position for the scan. If I made a wrong move, I was quickly reprimanded for causing her to reposition me again. Then as soon as the 4 scans were done, she told me to get dress there and she just opened the door and left, there was no privacy. I felt I was in some 3rd world country, or some side walk clinic. Near the end when showing us the ultrasound screen, I wasn't allowed to sit next to my wife to view it together, nor was she moved in a position to see the screen. We only went to Grieg because it was booked for us and we thought it was the only choice. Left horribly upset as it is an important milestone in our life.
