I don't know the other reviewers are complaining about. I found all of the staff to be quite friendly plus the wait time was minimal even though I was a walk in to get x-rays of my left foot. When the x-ray technician asked how I injured my foot, I explained that when I was heading to my bathroom in the dark, I kept forgetting about a big box in the hallway that I was shipping to a friend in the Philippines. On three different occasions I had bashed my bare foot on the corner of the box. To my surprise he asked was it a Balikbayan box? When I said yes, he said that's a very big shipping box and quite heavy when fully loaded. He was very thorough in getting images of my foot from numerous angles and it wasn't long before I was out of their office. read more

The worst center ever! I had a mammogram there a month ago. About a week later, I received a call from the clinic saying I needed to book another appointment for further testing -- both an ultrasound and a repeat mammogram. On the day of the appointment, I took half a day off work and rushed there by Uber, only to be told that I couldn't do the tests because they needed a requisition from my doctor. If a requisition was required, why did they call me and schedule the appointment in the first place? Later, a staff member approached me outside the office and explained that the appointment had been booked by mistake because the clerk was new and didn't have the right information. Still, during my first visit, the radiologist had clearly mentioned there was a high chance I'd need to repeat the test -- so this situation was entirely preventable. To make things worse, the staff member told me that since I also work, I should understand what it's like to make mistakes at the beginning of a job. Such a rude and unprofessional comment! This experience was incredibly frustrating. These people have zero respect for patients' time and emotional well-being, and they seem completely unaware of how stressful and anxious this kind of situation can be. read more

I accompanied my mother in law for an xray on Friday and the front staff were talking in their own language and laughing so loud. Because I speak the same language as them, I understood what they were saying. They were making fun of patients and they just kept laughing NON-STOP. I heard them call one of the patients "CRAZY" in their language. They were so LOUD that both my mother in law and I felt very uncomfortable being in the clinic. Even the patients in the waiting area were shaking their heads. I'm not sure what kind of manager they have or what kind of management boss is hiring/training these front staff because these people clearly lack basic etiquette and they clearly do not care about this job at all. ZERO PROFESSIONALISM. Now that I have been there personally, I believe the reviews. I also work in healthcare but this has been the worst clinic ever. They really need to change the front staff. The entire time I was in the waiting room, one of the staff with long hair up to her waist kept laughing and laughing. If you want to laugh at the jokes you guys make out of your patients, DON'T COME TO WORK. STAY HOME!!! Management really needs to fire them. They are such an embarrassment for your company. Do NOT go to this place for any imaging services. They sent the ultrasound report to the wrong doctor's office NOT ONCE BUT TWICE! This ended up causing a lot of stress and anxiety. Even though the report was generated in 2-3 business days it was over 2 weeks of having to track down what happened to it before finally having to drive down to their Vancouver location and paying them to print it out. No apologies. Overall an unbelievably disappointing and frustrating experience with this service provider. read more

Order of BC Recipient 2009, Dr. Linda J Warren shouldn't be judged by the front end staff as they are overly busy, rightly so. I have always been treated with respect and I trust her abilities to the max. With a recent purchase of a 3 D mammogram machine I was put at ease when Dr. Warren brought me into her office to show me the results of what she'd been watching on the films from previous mammograms and with the new pictures from the latest and greatest machine she purchased, Dr. Warren determined I didn't need a another biopsy. Dr. Warren is a dedicated Radiologist, dedicated to saving lives and I wouldn't overlook her because of a previous rating which was about staff and not Dr. Warren's abilities! I give this a 2 only because the tech was very nice to me and tried their best to treat me with respect. I felt exposed and uncomfortable the entire time. I'm not the biggest person but I'm also not tiny. The gowns do not fit and they are the thinnest paper. Yes you heard me, they were paper. lol A cheap dollar store paper towel is stronger than their gowns. Absolute joke. I had to turn over twice during the xray session and of course there is no keeping it closed when you have to be on your side. It was extremely uncomfortable and the gown ripped. Someone needs to look into this place because there is no way these gowns are designed to not rip if you barely even move. It's a joke. I do not recommend this place. read more

Okay, so I preface this review by saying upfront that I am accustomed to medical procedures being done in the USA (for better or worse. There are lots of pros and cons), and I'm fairly new to the medical system here in Vancouver. I also need to note that I have had at least 15 mammograms in my life to date, so this wasn't my first walk in the mammo park, so to speak. But it WAS my first mammogram here in Vancouver, and wow, it was SO vastly different a procedure here than it's been for me in the States, I totally wasn't expecting what occurred. Perhaps this is the norm here, I don't know, but it sure isn't what I'm accustomed to - and I don't like it. Where to begin? Booking an appointment was easy enough. I contacted BC Cancer Screening on Facebook and they responded immediately and were incredibly helpful online, providing lots of useful info and links to book appointments for mammo's and PAPs. When I called this X-ray office, the friendly lady was able to get me a mammo appt for the following day at 9am. Can't beat that! When I got to the office the next day, I arrived at 8:50am and the waiting room was packed (the office is divided in two, for mammogram patients and also for other X-Ray patients). The mammo check-in area was separate and quick. I sat and waited, noting how sterile and utilitarian the waiting room was. All my past experiences getting mammos were at major American hospitals' breast cancer screening departments, and they always had all the cushy niceties: warm seating areas, artwork on the walls, good magazines, tv's, wifi, free coffees and complimentary snacks, soothing music - a calm, soothing, comfortable area. This was nothing like that; here I felt I was at the DMV or similar, waiting with the masses for my number to be called to be seen for some bureaucratic task of sorts. At 9am on the dot I was summoned inside by a young lady who instructed me to follow her. She never introduced herself or asked me how I was doing. No small talk or any social discourse at all. We got to the mammogram room and she asked me a few medical questions and instructed me to undress from the waist up. Right there! No dressing room. No gown. No privacy whatsoever. Right there in front of her. I complied, as really, why dispense with the illusion of modesty or privacy when one is going to be exposed shortly thereafter to be squeezed into the machine. But I have to say, in my experience of getting 15+ mammo's in my life so far, and hundreds of other medical procedures in the past, (not to mention the fact that I have worked in the medical field, in labs and hospitals for many, many years), I have never experienced or heard of a patient being instructed to undress directly in front of the medical professional and not given a gown. It was unsettling to me, and because the tech didn't ask how I was beforehand or engage with me in any semblance of non-medical conversation, the experience was incredibly sterile and impersonal and cold. For a mammogram experience, where we women are being screened for a "womanly" cancer, in the States they go out of their way to make the experience as MINIMALLY uncomfortable and cold as possible. Here, they made the experience as impersonal and cold as they possibly could. Let's just say that I would NOT want this to be my daughters' first mammo experience, when they are older. The good news is, I was dressed and walking out of the office at 9:08 am. Yes, you read that right, the whole experience took 8 minutes in total, including undressing and re-dressing. I've never in my life had such a fast mammo experience. It felt like an assembly line there and I was just another cog in the machine. (The advantage to this, of course, is if one is a busy professional, you can be assured of getting in and out of here very, very quickly). Ultimately, what matters most is the accuracy of the mammo machine and the skills of the technician and the doctors who interpret the results, right? I have to assume that the machine and the expertise of the techs and doctors here are excellent, and that's what matters most. So I rate this place highly for their skillsets and, God knows, for how efficiently they run the office. But for the "bedside manner" stuff, and making patients comfortable...not so much. read more

if I could give this company half a star I would!! Receptionist at the front was very rude, unfriendly and not very helpful. It amazes me how these companies can stay open with such poor quality customer service. It took me two days to Book an appointment and they do not answer their phones. Very frustrating when you're sick and need medical attention and the phones aren't answered and it's nearly impossible to get an appointment. Took me over a month to get my appointment and missed it because receptionist took seven minutes to process the person in front of me whose appointment was after me. Do not recommend this location to anyone! I will not be coming here again nor do I endorse it. The government needs to regulate these places a bit closer. read more

I was at X-Ray 505 for a scheduled mammogram yesterday at Fairmont Medical Building. Before entering the clinic, a staff was outside to screen incoming patients for possible Covid-19 contact experience or symptoms. That was reassuring. Inside, it looked busy as usual but there was no distancing reminder near the reception and people were coming and going as usual. In the next room, where one waits for the actual procedure, the waiting room was so crammed with patients that there was really no distancing practiced. Waiting room chairs were very close together. Inside, there was no effort whatsoever by staff to provide greater safety measures considering the pandemic. There were patients not wearing masks and considering the closed environment there was a high risk of contamination. Once inside the mammography room, I found the staff quick and efficient but curt. What was worrying was that the disinfection process was so quick, not every surface that touches the patient was cleaned. The surface which comes into contact with the breast was disinfected which is the usual procedure even pre-Covid. However, where patients are asked to hold on to the machine so an image can capture the right angle was not disinfected. I did not notice if the staff wore gloves and if these were changed for every new patient. Maybe not? As for modesty, there were no gowns provided. I understand why the cloth gowns were dispensed with. But can't this clinic provide disposable gowns, at least? It is after all, a monopoly and surely is profitable. I was asked to move from one room to another, cross a public hallway and was told to just wear my sweater to cover up. No gown offered. Considering this experience, I was wondering, could this clinic be a breeding ground for Covid-19? read more

Very bad customer service- almost feel they need to write up everyone at reception and provide training on to be a human. I am not too surprised to see that many bad reviews, I personally had the worst experience and truly hope someone in management take this seriously and take some action. About my experience with X-Ray 505. - My doctor recommended X-Ray 505, called the place was put on hold 3 times before talking to anyone.. each time was on different day and waited at least 40 min. - Went to my first appointment, staff at reception with no exception were unfriendly, no greeting or smiling - Unfortunately my DR did not provide requisition form as she assumed that t I don't need it as I am over 40 and this is my first check up - Since I work Monday-Friday and its difficult for me to come back, I told reception let me call my DR office and see if they can fax it right away, however they were not interested in me trying. - I re-booked my appointment few weeks latter and called my DR office to confirm that they will fax the form - Called my DR office 2 days before my appointment and they did confirm that requisition was faxed provided me the exact date - Today when I checked in for my re-booked appointment, the receptionist was unfriendly (I thought you never know what someone is going through), she took my Care card, asked if my address is same on what on the card, said yes, then told me that can not find the faxed requisition. I asked her to double check as I did confirm with my DR office that form was faxed. She said no she is not going to double check and she is 100% sure that form was not faxed. Also said I came late, which was true I was 5 min late, finding parking around West Broadway very difficult. - She did even try to look for the form. I told here find but let me call the DR office right now and confirm or asked to re faxed it. I didn't want to come back for the third time as its hard to take time off work, .. she said whatever I want to do and there is no way they did send it and proceeded to help someone else. When I called my Dr Office they confirmed again form faxed and confirmed the fax number is the same of what is written on the clinic bus card. Then they did re-faxed it again. That took less than 4 min. - Then the same lady at reception asked if my address is same care card which I did confirm yes before. She almost was not happy that I did mange to get the form, asked to go wait in other room and was very dry... as if I was being unreasonable - It is such upsetting experience especially in a place where people feel most vulnerable. - Finally went to waiting area, the women beside me immediately said to me "wow that lady was so rude for no reason and was not inserted in helping". She said I don't understand why someone like that is allowed to work in customer facing role. I was relieved to her that other people sae the same thing and its not only me feeling that way. She also said in a place were dealing with Cancer and health its important to be compassionate. - After that went to exam room, technician was nice but not too much interaction or comforting. No gowns to wear, in a cold room, with cold people, after bad encounter, felt mistreated and disrespected. I am going to avoid at all cost going back for my next exam and hope that don't have too. will research another places. read more

i would have given minus 5 stars, if there hadn't of been one staff person who behaved in a respectful, intelligent, civilized manner towards me as a first-time patient there. as for the female millennial bully with an arrogant, confrontational, aggressive manner with zero concern for anything a patient has to say, she ought to be replaced stat. great way to lose business for the little company you have, dr. and why are you pushing the obvious lie that those paper mask jobs are 'medical masks that either you wear in here or you will not be seen!!!" listen, lady, i spent over 100 dollars on the 3 layer cloth facemasks that dr. bonnie henry advised everyone to wear over 3 months ago. i wear another washed one with a fresh filter each and every day. i can't breath with an extra couple of layers of paper on top of that - the genius at the front desk could not see reason. please do not insult my intelligence or knowledge - these paper masks are not 'medical' grade, not even close - those masks that are considered medical-grade are too expensive to be handing out all over the place, i know what they are, what they look like and yours do not fit into that category. not even close. the only reason i took the other mask from her was to shut her up - i didn't have the time or energy to start searching for a different x-ray facility. and am angry with myself for not walking out after giving her a piece of my well-aware, well-informed mind. in spite of the fact, she would not have comprehended or cared. if you cannot demand of your staff a positive customer service oriented and mature behavior and attitude, you would be better off to hire a firm that knows how to choose - or were you trying ot save money by hiring these millennials including the boy-child outside who presented as his small desk area and the patients down the outside hall from him to be his personal kingdom over which he rules with an iron fist. this kid at least 3 generations younger than me, this kid with engish as a second language. whose fault it was for failing to comprehend my simple words which he naturally misconstrued and then tried to deny my entering for my appointment because of that. it is the most disorganized medical office i've ever dealt with - one patient tried calmly to be heard by you know who at the front desk that she had waited for over an hour there, and it took minutes to get organized and figure out for her what was going on. and that was only one of the many patient inconveniences i witnessed today. clearly, you have set up your business to make money, without concern or regard for the human beings that have come there for help and are already stressed because they are worried about test results that may have bad news. we don't need to be abused and disrespected by your unprofessional and immature receptionist.. So forgive me, I'm a little irked. I fell on my wrist on Saturday and went to a walk-in GP - who didn't do much except for say "Call your family doctor and Monday, and she'll send you for an x-ray" Okayyyyy.... Monday rolls around and despite icing it, my hand/wrist had bruised. Luckily my doctor could see me. She sent me for an x-ray and said "505 is great!". Well, if you know the area, you'll know it's a busy, medical office are, with expensive limited parking. So I drive over, and since I didn't know the wait, forked over $5+ for 2 hours of parking at a meter. Went up to 505 - low and behold, the x-ray was broken. They were currently fixing it. Sigh. Here is where my problem was: I asked the receptionist how long - to which she said she did not know. I then asked where else I could go for an x-ray. She just passed me off a list without responding. I looked at the list and tried to see the one closest - but since they were just addresses, I got confused since I don't necessarily know which way it what. I pulled out my iphone and marked a few down, noting one was near my family doctors office. So I went there. Luckily I found free parking this time. Went in, went upstairs, gave my sheet. She said to me "Oh, it says you need urgent reading, we can't do that here" I just gaped at her. Sigh. She was very helpful and called one that does urgent readings and then circled it and gave me the address with directions. Guess what? It was literally less than 1/2 block from 505. If the first receptionist would have taken a few moments to look over my referral, say, "oh, I see you are urgent. Here's the locations that have this service" and then tell me that it was right downstairs, I found have found this extremely helpful and wouldn't have felt like an object. $5.00+ more for more parking, went in, got served right away. Both my friend and I came here for ultrasounds recently and we had the same female technician. The technician started by explaining the process she would follow in the appointment which would include emptying my bladder between the first and second ultrasound. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I am a English as a Second Language teacher, I could not understand what she was saying. At a certain point I decided to nod my head and give up on comprehension so we could get started. You don't appreciate the codified language and standard procedures of health care sector employees until you meet someone who doesn't work that way. The technician then commented on what she saw in my abdomen and used the word "huge". A very disturbing and non-medical adjective. I am under the care of two specialists so I'd like to leave the comments to them. As I was leaving, as if we were at a cocktail party, she asked the question, "do you have kids?" instead of, "have you ever been pregnant?" She also asked my friend a range of questions about her health the answers to which she said she needed for "her notes". It is standard practice for technicians to not comment on or even reveal what they see on camera and yet she had a comment on the for my friend, too. Her technical skills may be fine (and I hope they are) but her communication skills are seriously lacking. She is abrupt at times. I can imagine that some patients coming for tests already have health worries so a professional and discreet experience would be especially helpful. If nothing else, this technician should be told not to comment on what she sees on her screen and should be taught how to phrase (relevant) questions. I want to add that I have been coming here for mammograms for years and the mammography technicians are very professional as well as caring so this is not a review of the whole lab. read more

The doctors, Linda Warren, etc...are GREAT, caring, empathetic, skilled. Had an aspiration procedure, painless. The admin staff....? lazy, disorganized individuals people I've ever met in my life: book wrong procedure, paperwork lost, not sure if patients are there or not...the entire useless lot should be fired! The X-ray technicians....meh. One asked me to wait while my x-rays were checked. Over an hour and a half later, still waiting. Then, I go to ask.. the x-rays were fine, I was done but, guess what? Good service. Only had to wait 15 minutes for my x-ray, even in the middle of the afternoon when I thought it would be really busy and it's first come, first served. I wasn't thrilled about the tiny dressing room and having to remove all of my clothes for a hip x-ray; I thought that was a little excessive, especially since my clothes were all cotton with no metal on them. And they then had me put on.... a cotton gown! You do realise that x-rays go through cotton, whether it's cotton owned by me or you, right? read more

Ultrasound technician was rude from the beginning, like she wasn't in the mood on doing her job! she asked me to remove all my clothes for a breast inspection, the rest of the people were just partially dressed. after that she asked me to get into the room, then she ask me exactly where did I feel the lump. She used the ultrasound tool passing around that area very fast and very slightly pressed, then she kind of gave up after less than a minute and asked me to wait outside. She then told me she will recommend my doctor to get me a mammography even though im not into the age parameters. I have been done ultrasounds before, and I wanted to tell her she was doing a bad job at the moment, but its ridiculous I have to state the obvious, she shouldn't be cheeking breast because this lady might send you back home ignoring important issues. This place should hire people that really wants to work because just by the face and attitude of that lady she was neglecting her job and wasting my time. read more
