Awesome new facility but clown world with watering down the lotion and keeping the floors wet!! improve pls!!

I hate this location. I love lifetime fitness centers, but this location is seriously disgusting. Blood on the omens bathroom floors and never any toilet paper and the classes are not good. Infant childcare is the reason I went and that part is decent but you need to make a reservation, you can't just show up. I cancelled my membership after only going for 1 month, it was terrible. I have never been treated more rudely at a gym then i was here the "kid" i signed up with was incredibly rude and disrespectful when i asked about discounts because my friend and her whole family were member for 200 a month he laughed and told me he didn't need my business. That other people will just take my place. It was unbelievable i then left and signed up with a different person. Then they kept saying they were having trouble processing my LT bucks i went and called and spoke to managers 5 different times and they never granted it to me. The staff act as if they have the most important job in the world and can't be bothered with other peoples "minor" requests and needs. read more

The gym itself is phenomenal. However I choose to pay $90/month to avoid having to work out around children and clowns. This can hardly be considered a gym when there are multiple photo sessions going on on equipment people are waiting to use, tripods in the weight area in front of dumbbell racks, and small children climbing on equipment like this is a jungle gym. Incredibly frustrating when I am trying to workout and have to wait for people to finish creating their social media content to simply get in my set that collectively takes me less than 10 minutes. Management needs to do something about this, it's making me want to cancel my membership. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! In short, there are way too many kids constantly roaming around the gym I'm talking 5-13. They need to enforce better policy's with the kids. The gym is absolutely filthy as you can read other reviews on here that also agree with all the points I'm mentioning. I pay $325/mo and have to deal with horrible, vile, and rude staff as well. Everything is awesome except the music. The employees even hate it. Bring headphones and you are all good! Super clean! Great design and the staff running the gym are fantastic. The staff is not friendly in the evening. They have zero support for their members mentally or physically. They treat people as if they are above them working at the front desk of a gym. They need better staff specifically the older blonde woman and middle aged red headed man that wears the same suit all the time. You can tell these two are friends the way they put their nose up at you. I won't even bother getting a membership here at all worst experience. I would rather pay more somewhere where the staff is actually friendly. read more

I love coming to the gym. I arrive and am greeting by the friendly staff who greet me in the most simply divine way. The entry space screams at me to take a step closer and lose myself in the beauty of it all. The lockers are spacious and easy to lock and unlock, if you forget your combo, not to worry, any worker would happily help you unlock your locker in the event of this uncalled-for issue. After I finish my intense, yet relaxing yoga class with the incredible Rachel, I feel cleansed and refreshed. I am exhausted from my class so I do not want to take the stairs, not to worry, there is a convenient and reliable elevator stationed on every floor. As the elevator glides down to the first floor I decide I would like to take a dip into the locker room hot tub. The water is hot and the bubbles feel delicious against my tired body. When I am finished I head to the luxurious shower room to choose the shower of my liking and turn on the enchanting rain setting on the shower. As I am drizzled in the lap of luxury with these lavish accessories, I feel the cleansing energy bursting through me as I lather myself with warm water and scented soap so enchanting I am losing myself in the utterly brilliant moment. I step out of the shower and grab my towel and rap myself in its cozy arms. Feeling fresh I return to my locker and dress myself in my comfy clothes and launch myself into a lotion abyss. The lotion washes over me as a sweet lullaby rocks me into another world whispering me into a dreamland. As I exit the gym I feel like a brand new women. read more

I love this gym. My family and I have been going a little over a month. My 4 and 6 year old love the kids area and take so many classes. Ryan G.'s Dance Jam class brings such joy! I can't help but smile the entire time. I leave sweaty and beaming. read more

Absolutely wonderful, well stocked gym, great huge pools. BUT! You will not get any pleasure if you come there with your family. Half of the zones will simply be inaccessible to you! You can't all sit in the jacuzzi together after the pool. Children are not allowed in the outdoor jacuzzi or in the jacuzzi near the pool inside. Also, children are not allowed in any of the saunas. And If your children are not good enough swimmers to swim a whole huge pool from beginning to end (pass the test), then they should not even swim in a pool of knee-deep water without the presence of an adult nearby. Not all children can swim through a huge pool, while they swim quite well in a shallow pool. You will not get any pleasure, because you will be kicked out from everywhere, because they have a million stupid rules, and every employee voices new ones all the time. Disgusting, not thought out, do not expect any comfortable rest for the whole family. I first came here 3 days ago, paying for a whole month. Today I will terminate my membership. Now I understand why there are so few people here. read more

I just took a rain shower and the water was the same temperature as my body (97.6) and I had the rich aroma of sea minerals and blue iris draping all over me. I'm not going home. I dried off with a warm towel that smelt like a Tuscan sunrise. Someone cares. And they understand you brought your own lotion but if you did not, "come here my child." We have oils for you and mouthwash with the crisp tastes of wintergreen and gentle spritz of deorderant just in case. "We understand you." They knew my lungs needed the most delicate layer of eucalyptus oil in the steam room. I feel loved. My kids may not see me for some time, but do not feel alone. We all have lifetime bags, "we are in this together" and you brought a combo lock? How silly, "we got you." And please partake in the swimming activities, but not to worry about garments. There's trunk sanitation stations located in both changing areas and please do you the service of taking a complimentary plastic bag for those necessities. Again...the rain shower was at the same temperature as my body. Thank you. read more

Really disappointed. Started off as a member early in the clubs existence and within six months watched the gym go completely downhill. Dirty floors dirty bathroom dirty showers. The awesome cold tub and hot tub room is now filthy and always has mud on the floor because people wear their disgusting tennis shoes inside of the steam room and sauna. Got off work and went to get some type of workout in there were almost no treadmills available but to top it off every single squat rack is taken by their group class. Every single machine is filled up it's just a total zoo and for the money you pay it's really ridiculous that there is no oversight of the dozens of children running around the gym. It seems to just be this location unfortunately. Canceled my membership because of it. If you were looking for more upscale I highly recommend The Village at DC Ranch or elsewhere. and if you're looking for best value I totally recommend Mountainside fitness. Unfortunately they do not have a pool or spa area. But with how awfully kept the one at Peoria is it does not seem to make a difference. Hope this helps. read more

I joined a little over a year ago. I use the third floor to lift weights, and do cardio. I've never been to a gym where I have to compete with 12-15 year old's to get on equipment. Parents are using the 3rd floor as a babysitter while a group of 12 year old's sit on a machine, doing no sets, and taking selfies while flexing in the mirror. It's an absolute Sh*t show EVERYDAY up there. You can't get a good workout in due to the high amount of underage Mountain Ridge teens taking up ALL of the equipment, along with the scattered tens of 12 year old's working out by themselves, with ZERO supervision from the staff. I've never been to a gym where there were this many underage kids sitting on equipment scrolling through their phone for 30 minutes. I pay A LOT of money monthly for my membership, and to constantly deal with underage kids on the weight room floor is dangerous for them, and unacceptable to me. So save your time, and money, and go elsewhere unless you're prepared to compete with a lot of kids to get on equipment to workout. read more

The front desk upon entrance always meets you with a smile and professional. After being a member for months, decided to get an orientation of the weight machines, took off work twice for appt. BAD experience, no matter how many times I asked for orientation on proper mechanics and etiquette on the weight machines in a certain area, my request was ignored and was taken to other areas for a different type orientation. On my first appt, we ran out of time on the questions of "what I am looking for" so I had agreed for a second appt for orientation of weights. I multiple times asked the second trainer for orientation on certain weights and that was not in her plans. I was to orient on the weights she wanted me to and there was no conversation on what I wanted. Talked to the "head' trainer and I was told basically, Im the problem and the trainer is good and she knows what she is doing, again explained that I had now schedule 2 appt to get orientation on certain machine for proper mechanics and etiquette, asking why I can't have that? I felt so uncomfortable, the "head trainer" seemed aggressive in his reasons of why I couldn't learn the weights I wanted to use and he was not going to set up another appt to learn the weights I wanted to train on. I don't know, last time I checked lifetime offers many different weight machines that target the same muscle but apparently you can't be oriented on the ones you want to use! Horrible experience, felt like I was a child being disciplined for asking to be oriented on the weights I wanted to train on. I would have to say the class instructors, front desk and locker room attendants are all very kind with positive vibes. read more

I could give it zero stars if that was an option. It was not giving the whole gym zero stars but instead the staff. The staff was incredibly rude to me everytime i come in. I feel like I am not in important to them and they treat me like crap. Maybe it's because i'm a minor but they don't take me seriously. I lost my keys one time and went up to the recovery area to try and find them. When i said that i needed to get up there to get my keys, "woah woah woah why are YOU up here?" the man did not even look up from his computer he just yelled from the side (yes they emphasizes the you). I said "my keys are up here and I just need to get to them i'm not trying to use any recovery stuff" I walked in and he got up and ran after me and then the women in the back said "can i help you?" i said "yes i need my keys because my boyfriend was up here and i'm not sure if he grabbed them or not" She said "no you're wrong and i know for a fact you were not up here!" Did she want to pull up the cameras? Because i most definitely was up here. Furthermore, both the employees came over to me and said "this area is for special members only" So i pay $145 a month and so in fact have the special membee program which they did not even check for btw. I can't believe I had this experience in this nice of a gym which they advertised is a fun and happy environment where the staff actually respects you. I have had great experiences up now. The lady mine you was not there when we were there the first time so she clearly wasn't doing her job since she knew so well that people were not up there. Also, many lifetime associates had seen me and my boyfriend there when we were there just stretching and doing recovery. I am so blown away by this experience and so disappointed and dissatisfied. Might consider leaving as well as my family and boyfriend. The staff is awful and rude. I am blown away by this service especially since I pay so much. read more
