It definitely helped me fall back in love with working out, and I'm grateful for that -- but I was ready for more. Enter F45. I'd heard great things, so I gave it a shot... and got humbled real quick. I thought I was in shape -- turns out I had another level to reach. Since then, my stamina and endurance have skyrocketed. I'm stronger, more energized, and actually look forward to every workout. The coaches are what really make this place special. Jason and Ryan always bring the energy, great music, and keep things fun while pushing you hard. Lala is right there with them -- awesome coach and always brings a great vibe. Hannah is incredibly kind and supportive, and Jordan, the studio manager, has honestly been the biggest influence on my fitness journey. She's played a huge role in pushing me to be better. My favorite classes are definitely the cardio and hybrid workouts. "Redline" is my go-to -- it never disappoints and always gets my heart going. Now 205 classes in, I can confidently say I've found my fitness home. If you've been thinking about trying it -- just do it. You won't regret it. I was recommended by a friend to try Fitness 1 due to the quality of equipment as well as the old school atmosphere. The communication with Chad prior to visiting was great. He welcomed me when I came in and showed me around the gym, explaining how it was laid out and where I can find certain pieces of equipment. This included equipment like the pendulum squat, which can't be found in most commercial gyms. He also showed me where much of the power lifting equipment was and even discussed the childcare. I spent the next 90 minutes using amazing equipment such as Rogue, Precor, and my personal favorite, Arsenal. The culture in the gym was great. Everyone was working towards their own personal goals, all while supporting and assisting each other. They were even being spotters for others in the gym who they did not know, but supported nevertheless. Other gymgoers were not playing on their phones or hanging out in the gym, showing they were all there for a reason. After a good 90 minute workout, I went back and spoke to Chad. I told him I wanted to get a membership, paying for an entire year up front. Chad was able to do all this without pressuring me at all, which seems to be uncommon in the gym world. He lets the gym and the culture the staff at Fitness 1 has created, along with others in the gym, sell the product. All of this came with no hidden fees, which is just icing on the cake. Fitness 1 is a hidden "gym" in the fitness industry. It is an example of what all gyms should be and should be mirrored.

When I signed up I was told it was 24/7. The massage chairs are often broken as well and I have gone in there to find someone sleeping in there...not in work out clothes...more then once. To give some back ground, this is the 3rd gym I've attended and signed up for. (My first one has officially closed and the second one is too far away from my new house!) I was so nervous about finding a new gym, that it took me months to even set foot in this one, despite the fact it was close to work. Finally I gave it a shot. I originally started attending classes as part of the "nutrition challenge" last year. I only attended the specialty classes (yoga, gymnastics, barbells, redline) which definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. The nutrition aspect, the working with a team part, and the trying new types of classes was AMAZING! I knew I wanted to sign up for this gym by the time the challenge was over. My nerves about not fitting in or inadequacy went FLYING out the window after my first couple of classes. The diversity of coaches, people, and personalities makes this a great place to work out. It's this diversity helps everyone feel welcome and "trusting" to start their fitness routine. Whether your new and scaling your workouts, or advanced and pushing to the next level- this could be a great place for you. (If you're overly competitive and have a crappy attitude, this isn't the place for you!) Dead Red has a "team" feel and I appreciate how welcoming the coaches have been. The people here are personable and understand that life can be overwhelming, stressful, and downright hard. At the end of the day- this place works with you and challenges themselves to know you better for the sake of self improvement. If you're curious, I'd suggest a drop in class for sure. There are many time and types!

I had attempted to lose the 25-30lbs id put on for ~2-2.5 years with zero traction. I would start enthusiastically, and when I didn't see ANY results, I'd either give up completely or take my foot off the gas considerably. Then wash. rinse. repeat. I was completely hopeless and frustrated with my self and my life. Enter underground fitness. I left my initial consultation with Dave feeling almost giddy (and. don't use that phrase lightly). Everything he said just clicked - for the 1st time in a long time, it felt not only possible but likely that I would be able lose the weight. And 9+ weeks in that feeling hasn't gone away. Thanks to Dave and my Trainer Tripp (honestly one of the most knowledgeable trainers i've ever met), and despite my newly discovered hypothyroidism, I've lost 3 inches off my waist, I have the confidence to take pictures with my family/niece and even been able to bring a few items of clothing out of retirement! And all this was possible without being forced to eat salads or protein shakes all day. Dave taught me how to be accountable for myself and my food. If I want dessert, and make sure I have it budgeted into my daily calories and I eat that dessert. He genuinely cares about his clients and his only goal is for your to reach your goals, and in the process teach you how to eat for the rest of your life. Honestly, could have easily gotten double the money out of me for the following 9 weeks program but because I was doing well with my nutrition, he moved me to a less hands-on 9-week program. And frankly, Just knowing that I know how to lose the weight and keep it off and that I won't have to deal with this issue again is pretty mind-boggling.

I'm sharing this for safety reasons…read more During a squat session a few months back, I told my trainer that my back was hurting during the squats. Despite this, I was instructed to complete another set. During that final set, I injured my back badly enough that I could not walk afterward. At no point was the exercise stopped, reduced, or modified when I reported pain. I still can't squat, my back isn't fully recovered. Afterward, communication was disappointing. When my husband and I later explained that we needed to pause training due to finances, we received no response. Regardless of certification or experience level, a trainer should prioritize client safety, listen when pain is reported, and communicate professionally. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Update: After posting this review, the trainer contacted me and offered me money to take my review down. Since he can't contact me he reached out to my husband regarding my review. I am adding this update for transparency.

Addressing my situation After a heart attack in 2020, I went through several weeks of cardiac rehab, and I knew I would need to find a way to continue my exercise program. Gina set me up with a trial month, then a standard membership, and I started attending group sessions. I continue to be amazed at the amount of personal attention each member gets during each workout. The other owner, Ryan, is super knowledgable and has taken a personal interest in setting me up with a workout routine with my condition in mind. After six months of attending True Fitness, I feel better, stronger and healthier than I have been in years.
