I'm giving EōS Fitness a 3-star rating based on my overall experience. There are definitely aspects…read moreof this gym that I still appreciate--some of the staff members are genuinely friendly, and the facility itself is solid, clean, and has everything you need for a good workout. I still continue to go there because, at its core, it's a great gym environment. That said, I did have some experiences that impacted how I view the professionalism and customer service side of things. While applying to become a personal trainer at this location, I went through an interview process with the fitness manager, Bryan. After being invited back for a second meeting and practical demonstration, there was a moment where communication felt unprofessional--I received a message that included the wrong name while I was already preparing for the session. It left me feeling like the level of attention and care toward applicants and members isn't always consistent. I also heard conversations from other members that made me personally question the quality of guidance being given in certain situations, especially when it comes to injury-related fitness advice. While I can't verify everything I heard firsthand, it contributed to my overall impression of inconsistency in staff experience and training. Another issue I ran into involved stretch session billing and cancellation timing. I had requested to stop sessions due to personal financial hardship, but the cancellation and billing process took longer than expected, and I was still charged. My refund request was ultimately denied, which was frustrating given my circumstances at the time. I understand policies are in place, but I do think there should be more flexibility or clearer communication when members are going through hardship situations. Overall, I would say this is still a good gym with strong facilities and some great employees, but experiences can vary depending on who you interact with. My advice to new members is to read all contracts carefully, especially around recurring services, and make sure you fully understand cancellation policies before signing up.

As I am writing this today one of them has had a high temperature error making it none usable for 30 days! Also..the movie room doesn't play 24/7...if your an early bird your out of luck. When I signed up I was told it was 24/7. The massage chairs are often broken as well and I have gone in there to find someone sleeping in there...not in work out clothes...more then once. The only thing good about this location is the people working the front desk. They are always so nice and helpful..it's sad they have to hear us complaining about broken equipment daily. I have tried to contact management through their eos app but never even get a response. Fix your equipment and provide the service you are charging for.

This business, unfortunately chose not to take the right path with me. I belonged to the Peoria…read moregym. I moved across town and there was no gym available within a 25 minute drive when I attempted to cancel my contract they gave me a very difficult time. I called corporate and I tried dealing with this business myself and with corporate to get my contract canceled. they continued to charge me $40 for that month even though there was no gym with a certain mile radius to me that was reasonable. This turned to my $40 a month charge into $200 as they sent it to collections. They refuse to work fairly with me and just turned me over to collections and they're trying to now extort it over $200 from me over a $40 dollar payment!! It is not my fault that I moved and there was no gym within a certain reasonable amount of radius to my home. After the call from collections I've been very upset today. I would suggest choosing well when you get involved with them and God forbid if your gym closes near you...you will be driving to the next nearest one and it's not always close. They will not refund your money. They will extort more money from you.

TLDR; signing up for the 9-week transformation was hands down one of the best decisions I've made…read morefor myself in quite a while. They give you the tools to bet on yourself, and win. I had attempted to lose the 25-30lbs id put on for ~2-2.5 years with zero traction. I would start enthusiastically, and when I didn't see ANY results, I'd either give up completely or take my foot off the gas considerably. Then wash. rinse. repeat. I was completely hopeless and frustrated with my self and my life. Enter underground fitness. I left my initial consultation with Dave feeling almost giddy (and. don't use that phrase lightly). Everything he said just clicked - for the 1st time in a long time, it felt not only possible but likely that I would be able lose the weight. And 9+ weeks in that feeling hasn't gone away. Thanks to Dave and my Trainer Tripp (honestly one of the most knowledgeable trainers i've ever met), and despite my newly discovered hypothyroidism, I've lost 3 inches off my waist, I have the confidence to take pictures with my family/niece and even been able to bring a few items of clothing out of retirement! And all this was possible without being forced to eat salads or protein shakes all day. Dave taught me how to be accountable for myself and my food. If I want dessert, and make sure I have it budgeted into my daily calories and I eat that dessert. He genuinely cares about his clients and his only goal is for your to reach your goals, and in the process teach you how to eat for the rest of your life. Honestly, could have easily gotten double the money out of me for the following 9 weeks program but because I was doing well with my nutrition, he moved me to a less hands-on 9-week program. And frankly, Just knowing that I know how to lose the weight and keep it off and that I won't have to deal with this issue again is pretty mind-boggling.

I'm sharing this for safety reasons…read more During a squat session a few months back, I told my trainer that my back was hurting during the squats. Despite this, I was instructed to complete another set. During that final set, I injured my back badly enough that I could not walk afterward. At no point was the exercise stopped, reduced, or modified when I reported pain. I still can't squat, my back isn't fully recovered. Afterward, communication was disappointing. When my husband and I later explained that we needed to pause training due to finances, we received no response. Regardless of certification or experience level, a trainer should prioritize client safety, listen when pain is reported, and communicate professionally. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Update: After posting this review, the trainer contacted me and offered me money to take my review down. Since he can't contact me he reached out to my husband regarding my review. I am adding this update for transparency.

The trainers are head and shoulders above anything I've ever experienced. I've loved gyms before- and at my age, I've been around the proverbial block as well. These folks KNOW THEIR STUFF. They pivot and easily adapt the main workouts for you and your particular level and abilities. They actually CARE if you attend, and follow up with you when they notice you've missed a few sessions. They also won't try to sell you something, like a program or product, if they don't think it "fits" you. (Of course there's lots of smaller things that they can upsell like protein shakes and contests. But that's pretty normal and they don't do a hard sale.) They really, really want you to meet your goals and they really, really want to help you get there. But what keeps me coming back is that they know their stuff. Tiny details on your form? Check. Injury work-around? Check. Suggestions for weights to use? Check. Alternative exercises? Check. I'm just very pleasantly surprised, and love going to the gym again!
