Very clean, extremely friendly staff and community. I feel totally safe and comfortable even though I'm more of a marshmallow-shape than a gym bunny. My daughter loves the pools and enjoys the child care well enough that I don't feel guilty when needing her entertained for a quick sanity-driving spin class. If they doubled their spin and yoga class offerings, they'd get that 5th start--often full and not many options for times. We're really lucky to have such a wellness-minded, family-focused space in our neighborhood, especially since the price point is still manageable. read more

You pay a fortune to have your family be a member and they eliminate access for all people to certain areas because they implement additional paid activities - I play basketball and they shut down the court consistently with training (additional charge) and kids summer camp (additional charge) - it is a terrible practice. They don't do that to other areas like the pickleball courts. I was part of their "founding members" list when they started and they don't even bother to ask or work with the membership. read more

Gym is overcrowded even at a random time of 11am on weekdays! Little kids and toddlers running everywhere. Stop the "teaching moments" for the one yr olds trying to climb stairs as adults race up and down. Unbelievably rude in memberships. I visited lifetimes across the country and some of the biggest cities in the nation. I have never had the degree of disrespect and talking down to that I experienced on today's date. The years and years of giving positive feedback and glowing reviews to lifetime and effective today. Someone from management should probably pull aside people and let them know that it's inappropriate to talk to members in a belittling way. I've been going to Lifetime for over a decade and we used to love it. Started in Goodyear then moved to Peoria. It's starting to go down hill and I hope it doesn't. People working out with their music blasting from their phone without headphones, no available cleaning wipes, entire rows of lockers that are locked overnight, gym blasting music with cussing, hearing dudes in the locker saying they don't pay monthly dues because they just come to play bball at the gym. If you don't enforce standards there are none. We are all paying Cadillac prices and we are not getting Cadillac quality. Step up the quality to justify the price. I'm not a gym general mgr but I would start by: ensuring every cleaning wipe dispenser is full every hour during business hours, have employees deep cleaning high traffic areas everyday, add signs requiring headphones for personal music, clean music only playing over gym speakers, enforce membership at the door (no exceptions for employee friends), clear out lockers after closing and move items to lost and found on weekly basis. read more

LIFETIME Gym or Club? Whatever you call it dont call it boring. I was finally ready to do myself right. Time to start the journey of the next 25 years with fitness and diet being the focus. I meet with the dynamo Trainer Justin Fulks as often as possible. Justin guides me with equipment posture and routine. I do my best to stick to it. Everyone at the Peoria location can be seen working hard to keep things clean. Sebation and Tres in front with a "hey welcome back!" I started going in Tshirt Jeans and Hiking boots. Nobody gave me smack, just encouragement. Im in the building 5x a week now and I feel great. You are never to late to make a change... health IS wealth! I spent a bit of time last Saturday at this Life Time location as my son participated in his first pickleball tournament here. It was not the most geographically desirable location for our family, but we were impressed with the facility! The pickleball courts were great, and it seems like there was plenty going on during our visit for members with diverse interests... They offer a salon, cafe, multiple workout class rooms, basketball, pickleball, a kids club, and of course your basic fitness area with both cardio and strength. Sir LANCE is the most amazing barista everrrrr!!! I've been going there ever since they opened their café and have my favorite oat milk caramel latte drink. When I tell you that he makes the best lattes ever I kid you not. He is an amazing manager, super knowledgeable, and super skilled at what he does. The whole staff is always friendly and really amazing. I truly try to have my favorite drink Only a couple of times a week, but I have to be honest. It is very hard with the quality of the drink and the way that it's made in such a special manner with so much love. Why take out a basketball court and replace it with a pickleball court??? The courts used to have no crowds because there were two stinkin' courts but then it is replaced with pickleball, constantly crowded and it the summer time it is used as a daycare for kids from 8 in the morning to like 6 pm. Great gym! I wouldn't call lifetime just a gym because I go in here to study and relax all the time! I love the amount of options you have by being a member here. They have tons of workout class options with great coaches! The coaches are very knowledgeable and helpful even with people with injuries. They will make sure you can still get a workout in and feel the burn by making small adjustments! They have tons of equipment and an amazing recovery area. I love coming in and getting a workout in and being able to decompress after too! Each locker room has their own sauna and steam room as well! I enjoy going in the hot tub and cold plunge for recovery after a workout or long day! I study here often and there many different spots you can work at. Overall I love my experience here and am very happy to have my membership! read more

Beware of the personal trainers. One man named Justin lured me away from the gym, since I was there using a guest past to try it out, but sadly I knew I couldn't afford a membership. Should've noticed the first red flag, but the person who introduced him to me told me he was " gym Jesus". He, without knowing a thing about me, had me join the person I was with in her workout. He had me do an ab workout that nearly dislocated my shoulder. When I voiced that I felt really apprehensive doing that exercise, he just pushed me to do it more. He told me to come to his house where he trains people. Turned out to be a predator, when I called him out he SCREAMED his head off at me, trying to scare me, then had his wife call me and do the same thing. It was pure abuse. Please never ever ever come here. I'm begging you all for your own safety. read more

Lifetime is clean and everything is stocked (towels/papertowels, etc.) Their equipment is top-notch and almost always in working condition. Obviously, once in a while something breaks, but they will always put a note on it and let you know when it'll be back to working order. The hours are amazing 4am - 10pm or midnight depending on day. Salon and Recovery (Hydromassage and Normatec) amazing! Now, for the reasons I didn't give 5 stars - Cafe apparently (according to workers) seems to have a scaffolded cut-off time for ordering some items on the menu - Lattes in particular. There also isn't a lot of diversity with age at Lifetime - most workers seem to be 30 and below. I'm middle-aged and workout with weights and cardio 7 days a week. It would be nice to see older people working there sometimes, especially trainers. read more

I have almost nothing but good things to say about the LifeTime Fitness Happy Valley location. The place is clean, it has all the amenities and its like my second home. I signed up before the building was even built. I love the place but I will say I do not love the price and more importantly I am not fond of the Corporate office. So nothing against the staff at the location but recently I am going through a divorce and if I change my policy and get a new one I do not keep my grandfathered pricing that I received when I signed up 5 years ago. So removing my ex from the account reduces my price by $30 instead of just cutting it in half. Which is sad because I understand they are awesome and they need to make their money and I can warrant paying more than some of the other gyms out there but 5x as much I just can't do. The Staff reached out to Corporate to see if I could get some pricing discount do to the situation and I was denied and hence why I am writing this because in the future they should look into a case by case situation for people. Again I love Life Time its a great place and I have referred people to signup as it does have everything but being a member since the before the ground was broke it would have been nice if they would have honored support to me as I supported them and waited for many months after when it was supposedly was to open back in 2020. read more

I enjoy lifetime, been a member for about 2 and a half years. I am glad I got grandfathered in when the price increase happened recently, or else I probably woulda stopped my families memberships cuz it's already expensive as it is lol. I like taking advantage of the parents night outs they have on Fridays and Saturdays so my kid can have some fun and me and my man can go on a little 3 hour date to get some alone time! I also like the outdoor pool in the summer when they have family movie nights. My only issue honestly is why the heck doesn't ANY of the restrooms have toilet seat covers? Planet fitness that charges like $20 a month has toilet seat covers in every stall. Lol like even if they only had ONE cover station in the front, would be great. I know this sounds nit-picky but like.... Women shouldn't have to squat over the toilets at a gym that you're paying literally almost $200 per month to go to. They also changed the guest pass "qualification" and that is pretty lame too, cuz now I can't let my kid bring a friend to swim randomly or my son being his gf along it is only 18 + now along with other requirements. So yeah a few cons but all in all it's close by and my kids like it. read more

I also didn't like that my 7 year old daughter was waiting a while at the counter but instead of someone helping her the employee took the person behind her and ignored her. When I first joined I knew I wanted a trainer to help me get comfortable with my form, the machines and barbell. I was new to strength training, so trained with Justin for about 2-3 months. He really made me feel comfortable and helped me build a good foundation so I could continue to work out on my own. He is so positive and knowledgeable, he listens to ensure my likes / dislikes are factored into my workouts, I appreciate his approach to training balancing the physical and mental aspects. I'll still book a session with him from time to time if I need to push myself or progress to new exercises. Highly recommend him! read more

It's very obvious they only care about money here. This place is like a used car lot with all the crap they try to sell you Half the equipment in this so called "elite" gym looks older than the gym itself. The 3rd floor layout is terrible for working out, and the only open area is used for stretching, classes, and sled pushes (how is that supposed to work?). A lot of the trainers (not all, but most) seem to be very new and not very good, yet they're charging hundreds of dollars for your poor service. Definitely not with the membership. read more

I think it's called Lifetime because you could spend your whole life in here, which is pretty much why we signed up. Most important thing: we didn't sign up to work out. I have a Peloton and like home workouts. I signed us up because of the lobby and cafe. It's total coworking vibes but there's a really great kids care (Kids Academy) on the second floor where you can drop your kids for up to 2.5 hours a day AND they have classes for the kids. Arts and crafts, tumbling, we did a family yoga class together. Coworking with childcare included? Count me in. Even with paying for everyone in our family, it costs about the same as a membership to WeWork did when I checked it out 8 years ago, before it was a public dumpster fire. Kids are engaged for cheaper than any babysitter, we're able to work in the lobby along all the other people using the space for the same reason. I said I wouldn't workout, but my husband was right. Within a week I was trying out the classes. They're all great. Maybe next week I'll venture to the third floor and use the actual exercise equipment. We'll be enrolling our kids in the summer camps and doing swimming lessons here, too. But- best part??? The charge comes though on our credit card as E-commerce, which is fantastic and confirms my use of this place as a coworking space. All the wins. read more

This gym is fancy. However, 4* because the equipment breaks down, and it can take a bit before it gets fixed. I often see signs on various machines saying out of order. The facilities are huge. It can get warm especially when it's busy + really hot outside. They provide towels. The lockers bathroom/shower room are very nice. It is convenient when I plan ahead and need to shower before going somewhere after the gym. The trainers are very good, and you can meet with the head trainer, and he matches you with someone who can meet your needs for schedule and what you want to accomplish. I also enjoy the LifeSpa. Love this gym. This is the best lifetime. We go here when we wanna get a super hard workout in for just want to drink strawberry lemonade by the pool. Me and my wife have been going to this gym for about 2 years now and we will continue to go to this gym as long as we live in the area. My wife attends the classes they offer in our membership(barre, spin, and heated yoga) about 3-5 times a week which by itself makes the higher membership prices worth it! I mostly use the 3rd floor amenities like the weights and cardio section. Not only is the gym kept clean/neat, the equipment is up to date and you barely have to wait for any machine. Also the people that attend this gym are overall very nice. The vibes are awesome at this place! 5 stars isn't enough! read more

Customer Service for cancelation on membership is poor. You have to go in which is fine, but when I requested documentation for proof, I was told it would be emailed. I'm now 3 weeks without an email and after 3 attempts of leaving a Voicemail/emails, not only do I not have confirmation, but I can't even get a response back. I've been going to this location since it opened, so I do know how it used to be and can be. I love the classes but I can tell you that the floor in the yoga studios, and along with every single mat in the facility, is not being sanitized properly. I usually stay on the same side of the room for yoga classes and there has been this same spill stain for weeks on the floor that looks like it could easily be wiped away. And I really hate to say this because it's gross but the mats smell pretty weird sometimes. It's like playing Russian roulette with the mats sometimes. This is concerning to me because in the heated classes like Sol and Warrior sculpt people drip sweat, literally pools of sweat are left after each class. I love that I am given the means to have a great workout with great instructors that make me sweat but I don't want to be laying on others sweat. I do bring my own mat now but you are not limited the mat in these classes and you need to touch the floor for many things. So please lifetime management please employ at least one person to do a deep sanitizing daily of both the mats and floor, if not multiple times a day when the rooms are not in use. I would completely understand this level of cleanliness if I was paying for a membership at planet fitness, but this is lifetime and the costs do not even compare. read more

I'll start with the good stuff, because this gym does have some positives. The Good: 1. The Chiropractic care and recovery center is awesome. Not many gyms offer this type of service, so having this available is really cool, and makes for a great 15-20 minutes after working out. Lifetime stands out in this category. 2. The GTX classes are awesome. Nikki & Trenton are two of the best class instructors I've ever had at a gym, and the workouts are intense (as long as you're willing to put the work in). GTX classes are probably the number 1 reason I still have my membership at Lifetime. 3. The facility in general. The weight room is great, there are tons of different running machines and weight machines. As far as offerings, this gym essentially has it all. Bball court, spa, pool, hot tub, cold tub, steam room, cafe etc. The Bad: 1. The Kid situation is astounding. The basketball courts are amazing at this facility, but they are essentially treated as a daycare from 3:30-7:30 most days. Almost every time I go to the basketball court there are between 15-25 children from ages 10-16 on the court, often times with fast food meals, drinks etc. scattered throughout the floors. On top of that, the weight room is often littered with children too. I get that this is great for families, but for a gym that charges as much as Lifetime does, there needs to be some monitoring of this. 2. Staff. As I mentioned above, there are a couple really good staff members (Juan/Nikki/Trenton/Brittany etc.) but a large majority of the staff come off as extremely anti-social. I am not a person who needs tons of conversation, but at the front desk a simple "Hey, how are you" would be great, and about 90 percent of the staff there don't say a word when you check in. It seems like a small thing, but definitely has an off-putting vibe. 3. Promotion of activities. Primarily the basketball court comes to mind here. This facility has 2 beautiful courts. I go shoot around a couple times a week (2-3) and have never seen a court with less people playing basketball than I do here. I have wondered about forums or community postings etc. to get some sort of pick up games going, but there seems to be no interest from staff to promote this. I have to believe there are people in this area who would be interested in playing pick up at times other than 5 AM haha. 4. Lastly, and this is a small one, the app not having any place for any type of feedback is a little discouraging. The only reason I am writing this here is because the Lifetime App only has feedback settings for how you are enjoying the app itself. There is nowhere to comment on classes, the facility, concerns etc. This gym has a ton of potential, and I will most likely keep my membership because the facility itself is great and the GTX classes are really motivating, but it falls short in ALOT of categories, especially for a gym that charges as much as they do. I received a gift card from my husband for the spa. We lost the card but scheduled the visit because no one told us that they can't lookup the card in the system. Yes, we are members too. My massage was excellent, however, when it came time to pay, I was informed that I needed the physical card. Yes, they can see that a gift card was purchased from the spa but there is nothing they can do..SOL. Yep. LESSON LEARNED- DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD FROM THERE LIKE EVER. They have NO WAY of reimbursing you even though they are able to redeem the card using the number on the back of the gift card. So they have a record of the card but they can't do ANYTHING ABOUT IT unless the physical card is presented. They can't cancel it and issue you a replacement, or pull the card number .. nothing! read more

This is my favorite gym I have ever been to. The staff is what makes is so great. Shout out to Ami Davidson who helped me get set up while visiting Arizona and is so kind and helpful. :-) I can't wait to be a full time member again!
