I recently joined Life Time Fitness end of July and am absolutely loving my Tour de Life Time gyms en DFW! This is on my list of favorites! It's super easy to get in and out of the parking lot which has plenty of parking. This gym has more of a luxe ambiance with it being a newer build and lighter colors. The women's dressing room has an ample amount of lockers. There are 5 toilet stalls which don't seem like enough but I never had an issue. There's another 2 stall restroom upstairs on the gym floor. In the women's locker room, for women only, is the spa experience with a hot whirlpool, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room. This is the most important one for me because I absolutely hate the co-Ed amenities in the other locations, such as Plano, Allen, ands Flower Mound. I could literally spend an hour or more here just relaxing. The 25 minute drive makes it totally worth it. The sinks and counters in the women's locker room are two huge areas with plenty of space for ladies to wash hands or beautify themselves in the mirror. Lifetime provides razors, makeup remover, Q-tips, & other items. Further down, there is a large room with two rows of showers. Maybe about 20? In the showers, they have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and shaving cream. The water pressure is perfect and you can make it as warm or cold as you like. Large towels are provided and so are small ones for anything else like the gym floor. The Life Café is huge! There is plenty of seating and lots of options for food and snacks. Behind the front desk is the stairs and elevator to go upstairs. As you go up the stairs, you can immediately see how this is a Luxe gym with the beautiful chandelier above the stairs. Once at the top is the GTX room with a divider. This room is kept a little dark, which I prefer to the brightly lit gym floor. Opposite of that room is the gym floor with all the machines and equipment in an open floor concept. The massage chairs and recovery station is to the far right and up into another room. The Pickleball courts are closed in and always full. The pilates and barre room are off to one side and then there is a cycle studio and another studio on the other end. I love that the alpha section has mirrors in front of the racks with the barbell. I still haven't seen the outdoor pool, I know it's on the roof or something. I still need to check it out. I've seen the indoor one, which is your standard lap pool. This gym gets super busy during rush hour so plan accordingly. read more

Life Time Las Colinas means a lot to me. As a Day 1 member, I've spent countless hours there over the last two years since its opening. In many areas, the club shines - its strength and conditioning equipment, instructors, and health programming are unmatched and, most importantly, I've met great people. As good as the club is, and no doubt, great things are happening there, it's really expensive - and the last several months I have constantly been questioning if I should be paying what I do. I mentioned in my first review in July I felt the club was slipping. No question I have, and deserve to have, the highest expectations for this place but that comes from them. They promise us an "athletic country club" experience and charge for it - so I expect them to deliver. Over the last year, this club has been dealing with a serious member trend related to its big ticket item - the men's rejuvenation suite in the locker room, consisting of a hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna, and wet sauna. Quite often, it's a wreck - as are other sections of the locker room. Wet towels and trash crumpled on the floor and in seating areas and in corners around this section of the club. There's sludge on sections of the floor at night after the big rush. Many of the men members of this club are acting like slobs - and Life Time isn't keeping up. I feel like the maintenance crew tries hard, but I've also seen them blow past the suite without even sticking their head in for a status check - as if they have other priorities than one of their biggest competitive advantages when it comes to amenities. I really feel like Life Time without this is mostly a four- or five-star facility - but this issue knocks it down several pegs. It's exhausting. read more

When I see pronouns on name tags I don't see employees giving customer service, I see political posturing. The employees are hired for nose rings and wild colored hair and not for doing their job or experience. You pay 220 a month and all they do is hijack you for more money all the time. They double dip once they sell you a membership with lots of features and then they rent out those features and amenities to people that pay more, so you can't use what they sold the membership as, a classic bait and switch. The pool is great but you can only use when they are not reserving it for private use and lessons. The pickleball courts are great but you can only use them when they are renting them out for lessons, leagues and other money making events. I always feel like a sheep waiting to get fleeced by the employees trying to make quota on revenues. Buy this supplement, take this class, buy this lesson, try then drink, smh. They create an adversarial relationship with their so called "guest" by using them and not appreciating them. You are not a valued customer, you are "Mark" that has been lured in with fast talk so they can get access to your wallet. Once they get your membership, they could care less about your experience and use of facilities, now they want money to buy the use. This is one of the nicest public gyms I've been too. It doesn't get overly crowded either and the facilities are all so clean and new. They have dozens of scheduled classes everyday that cover a wide audience and fitness range. The group fitness class space that's right off the stairs on the second floor is amazing. Taking a 6 AM class and watching the sunrise is a treat and great way to start the day. The instructors are all super nice and personable - it seems like they genuinely enjoy what they do and want to get to know you on an individual level. The outdoor pool area is by far the best part of the membership in the summer. I'd consider a luxury set up with how nice and clean everything is, plus drink and food service that comes to you. Does not feel like you're at a gym at all. The only con is how ridiculously expensive it is. They offer a lot for the price, but it's hard to justify paying THAT much unless I was there for multiple hours everyday and taking advantage of every amenity. We ended up discontinuing and left, but I'd recommend touring it if you're a committed fitness person. read more

Although I was a member of LifeTime Fitness several years ago I recently rejoined (February 26) just for the purpose of improving my health. I hired a personal trainer, Tatiana Morales, who, step by step, really turned me into a new person. I was able to convert fat to muscle, increase my stamina, improve my attitude and sleep better. On top of that, she even designed a workout program for me to follow when we were not actually having a workout session. This gym is literally perfect. Extremely clean. Not crowded. I travel full time so having a luxury gym that's everywhere is a top priority and this gym covers ALL my expectations and more. This location specifically is top tier because it is newer and modern. I live closer to the Dallas (mockingbird) location and was personally disappointed in that one as it is extremely outdated. The difference in the gyms cannot be denied. I'll drive out further to go to this location. The staff is nice. It's clean. It's HUGE. I'm thankful for the private sauna area. As a woman, I want to be in a woman-only sauna. It's luxury. You can get an intense workout, or you can have a peaceful day. Or you can work there. Or eat there.. get your hair done. I have become disappointed with Life Time Fitness. I honestly would not have become a member if I had known prior the lack of classes that are available. Seriously, they offer more classes to children than adults- it appears to be a fancy daycare! I had reached out to management to request more adult fitness classes, yet the wait list for the classes is never ending. Another negative- there is an odor that hits your nose as soon as you enter the building, like sewage. They use sprays to try to mask it, but something is wrong if sewage gas is entering the gym. While utilizing the main fitness room, I have attempted to ask staff for pointers- I am continually told that they are waiting on clients and to sign up for their personal training- I only need help with what some equipment can help. Why should I have to pay extra, on top of the outrageous $240 a month?? Bye, Life Time Fitness. Way too expensive for what you offer. read more

I'm 50 and have had my fair share of gym memberships throughout the nation 2 say the least . This one tops it all . I can't believe the 1-2 star reviews they got . Obviously , they are from those annoying fastidious pions that are just like your nosey neighbors..... always looking for a reason to bitch about nothing. Back to the main point ........ great facility, friendly staff , state of the art equipment. The list goes on . I absolutely love everything about this gym especially the daycare. At the daycare they separate the kids by their ages and always fully staffed. My son has been going from 10months-2 years old and he always has a blast. Out of all the gyms i've tried with daycare this one is by far the best one. read more

Front desk is extremely unorganized. I have had numerous questions about my membership and other perks that come with my $220 membership. Every time I've walked in they are always incredibly busy, on the phone and a lot of the time just conversing with each other. The facilities are top notch and I love everything about the gym. It's a nice new gym. But for $220 a month I would have expected at least one basketball court. Most Life Time gyms have 2 courts. The one in Las Colinas is the first LT gym I've been to without a basketball court. Also, they've decided to cram the sauna, hot tub, and steam room in the locker room. I have been a member of many different lifetime locations over the years and Las Colinas is a superior experience. The only thing I have found frustrating is they no longer have a member service desk. They use the front desk check-in and the experience is constant disruption and lack of expertise. read more

It is amazing that for the price you pay monthly, you STILL have to pay extra if you want a Pilates class or other classes. sometimes the classes will even kick you out of the area where you were working out even though you were there first. Great facilities. However, not very timely/organized. Attempted my first yoga class and me and the other attendants kept waiting in the room for the instructor to show up. Finally, fifteen minutes later, one of the staff comes in and says the instructor forgot and that no substitute will be coming. They didn't offer any type of retribution for wasting an hour of our time, but said we could just wait another hour and fifteen minutes for the next class. Fairly disappointed in this experience, I made a lot of changes in my schedule so that this class could work. Left a bad impression. read more
