I have a couple of injuries with the worst being a herniated cervical disc, which caused me to have constant head pain and limited range of motion in my neck. My doctor prescribed me Pilates as he knew I wanted to stay active but my current fitness regime was keeping my injury in limbo. I tried a couple of other Pilates Studios but it left me with additional pain in my neck area. I decided to call Century Pilates and spoke with the owner Emily about my situation. Emily suggested I start with private lessons first with an instructor who was certified in ELDOA. The Instructor I worked with was Tamara and upon my first session I knew I was in great hands as she knew what to do and not to do with my body and I started to feel better within the first 2 weeks. 6 months later and I feel better than I have in a very long time, haven't had any head pain and my doctors have also expressed to me that Pilates is doing wonders for my issues and suggested I keep it up! I love the class and Alisa's coaching style. (Alisa is very knowledgeable in her field and always ready to answer questions about exercises, groups of mussels that should be used, and after-class habits such as proper food diet to feel healthy and full of energy.) I feel very safe during workouts and have much fun between exercises. It is always super clean in the room and on the Pilates machines. Also, there is always cold water in the fridge for after class, small lockers for phones and small items (such as jewelry and wallet, for example), and cute little things that are easy to forget on the way to class (hair bands, socks, etc.). After initially completing an interest form, they reached out via text and set me up for an intro class. After the introduction class I attempted to sign up and was told a manager was required to complete my registration. I left a note and my information for the manager to reach out the next day. I didn't hear from them. I reached out via text on the same number I previously used to arrange the intro class, no response. I called 2 times a day over the next 2 weeks and no response. I finally received an email response, at 10:30pm from the GM on July 31st stating she would call me the next day at 5pm. I replied at 10:45 agreeing to the time and that call never came on August 1st. I made my final call attempt today and have decided to try the Coppell or Addison locations. This is perhaps the most unprofessional member experience I have had in years.
