In my venture of finding a Pilates studio, I fell in love with Session Pilates and ended up getting a membership here! I was recommended to Session Pilates by friends and coworkers. All the instructors are super friendly and helpful here. I definitely recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to choose your reformer and get set up. I love how easy and convenient it is to sign up for a class on their app. I definitely recommend checking a week in advance when planning out your workout schedule since morning classes tend to fill up quicker but you can always find a time that works best for you. The Uptown studio is close by to where I live, just a short 5 minute drive, and I've gone to the Plano location as well when I'm visiting family. This studio is perfect for beginners who are just getting into Pilates and/or are looking for a great workout that leaves you sore afterwards. read more

Good workout but literally impossible to get a bed before or after work. Waitlist is consistently in the double digits and has little movement. On top of that, the class packs have an unreasonably short timeframe of expiration. Makes it nearly impossible to use l the classes you bought before they expire. read more

Love this studio and the instructors here! The playlists are always fun and I always leave feeling sore for days. As a newbie to reformer pilates, all the instructors took extra time to help me set up and feel comfortable with the reformer before my first few classes. Also, there are a lot of parking options here including street parking, a private lot, and parking across the street. My only con is that the hand straps seem a little worn. Sometimes my reformer's straps are slightly damp (I assume from the previous class) and that grosses me out. Other than that everything seems pretty clean. read more

As far as a workout goes, 5 stars just isn't enough. The classes are challenging for the fittest of fit but approachable to reformer virgins. The music is always a playlist you would gladly get blackout drunk to just after performing every TikTok dance you half learned. Every class is also different and will keep you on your toes... or begging on your knees for a sweet release of a child's pose. All of that being said, long plank holds, evil mermaid obliques series, or the most lunges you've ever done in a 50 minute period, will change your values as a person. I do not wish violence on anyone, but I've wanted to body slam instructors from time to time Stone Cold Steve Austin style when they slowly countdown a hold or pulse. This was the best work out I have ever done. I have been trying to find a studio around the area that I really like- the workout, the people, the cost, and schedule availability. While this place is a bit on the pricier side, it is so worth it. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in correcting form to make sure I was getting the most out of the workout. It was my first time on the reformer, but the little corrections made me feel each move more. One of the biggest attractions to this place is that the class sizes are really small. The limited number of reformers allows for a more personal experience. They also have classes almost every hour so you're sure to be able to get your workout in. If there is one workout studio that has earned my business, it is this one! I'm excited to go back for more. read more

You really feel like you worked your whole body. 4 stars just because this is a pretty bare bones studio-no towels, no water, no shower. I think I've found my new Pilates place! I've tried a couple different studios in Dallas and so far this one is my favorite for Pilates. The place is clean and simple, has all the equipment you need and a place to put your stuff. No water or towels though so make sure you bring your own if you need it. The instructors are great! I haven't had a bad class here yet and have been coming for a couple weeks. It's challenging but not impossible, and the instructors definitely come around and make modifications to make sure you're doing the exercises right which is great. I like the layout of the room because it makes you feel like the class sizes are smaller even though there's probably a dozen reformers there or so. Class is usually pretty full which is a good sign, and they have classes pretty much every hour. Check in is easy - if you signed up online, just find your name on the iPad at the desk and check in on your own. The only thing I have to knock it for is parking, which is limited and can be tough if you get to class late. The busy spot where it is in Fitzhugh kind of makes it tough to get to. You can usually park in the lot next door along Cole without getting towed though. read more

I came here while visiting Dallas for the weekend. The instructor was very nice, the studio was clean and signing up for a class was super easy via Mind Body. I do Pilates at home in Chicago and am used to a mega reformer. Session has more traditional reformers so there isn't as much to them but that doesn't mean you still can't do a lot with it! I unfortunately didn't find the class very challenging at all - I didn't break a sweat and didn't feel like I really even worked out. The reformer didn't have many springs so it made it difficult to add more resistance when I needed it. I do think that this would be a great place for someone that is newer to Pilates because it allows you to learn some of the moves and get used to a reformer. read more

Such a pretty studio!! The instructor was very attentive and kept correcting my form, which I really appreciated. I'm not exactly the biggest pilates fan, but I really liked the class I took here. Try it out! Not sure about their normal prices, but they are on Classpass. Parking tip: you can park at Sigels (the liquor store) and just walk to Session from there since the Session parking lot gets full quickly (only a few spots) and Sigels is totally cool with it. read more

I do a lot of high-intensity cardio workouts during the week, but I try to intersperse them with some muscle toning workouts like Pilates. Sessions is right down the street from one of the spin studios I go to, and I drive past it almost every day. Decided to check it out one day through ClassPass, and I loved it! My first class was with Kate, and she took the time to walk me through the Reformer, and she helped me correct my form periodically through the class. As a newbie to the studio, I felt that some of the moves could be hard to follow or figure out when the instructor isn't on the reformer performing the moves. (Especially if you sit on the side because you think that will be a low-key place to sit, but you don't realize that you may have no one as a reference if you're facing one particular side of the studio or the other... guilty!) It's a great workout, but as some of the other reviews have mentioned, the studio is pretty bare bones. Very instagrammable and pretty, but only one small bathroom (no shower). There's been water each time I've been there, but the jug is very small and I can see it running out. Lockers in the front, and grip socks for sale if you didn't bring your own (they're required, $10 in store - protip, City Surf sells similar ones for $4!). Wish they would also provide towels! Otherwise, great pilates studio here in Dallas, will definitely be back. read more

I love going to Sessions Pilates! The studio has a great location in the Dallas area. Pros: Instructor-Brit is my favorite teacher. She will kick your butt in class. Take her regular class. I have been going for a few weeks and can't imagine taking the Advanced Class it must be very hard and for people in really great shape. Every class I have taken has been completely different. Abs, Back, Legs, Arms all of her classes have a theme and you will be sore the next day! Studio: Clean, spacious, and new! Pretty much what you want from a Pilates studio. I believe these Reformers are Allegro ones? Atmosphere: Upbeat music is playing the whole time, positive vibes Cons: No water! Bring your own water or you will have to buy water! I'm starting to really enjoy Pilates on the reformer and this class is no exception. I feel like this is a great class to add to the regimen as it's a full body workout that makes me do things I would never normally do! The instructors walk around correcting form and attempting to modify however I do feel it is fast paced and it's good to have had some previous instruction in the reformer. I come here through studio hop and this is probably one of the most popular studios as it's very difficult to get into a class without booking a few days in advance unless a last minute cancellation comes up. They have limited parking so it's best to get there early. Remember to bring your sticky socks! read more

I am SO thrilled this has finally opened in the ideal location between uptown and the park cities. The owner, Brittany, has been a well known pilates instructor in the Dallas area and comes with a very loyal following (not to mention she has an awesome personality and contagious energy). Her routines are perfectly queued, vary from class to class, and provide the most effective and transforming movements for a sculpted bod! Warning- you WILL be sore! SESSION really is as good as it gets. I can confidently say that SESSION is my absolute favorite studio in Dallas and by far the most beautiful! It's in a great location and they have such a warm and welcoming staff. I took Brittany's class and she totally kicked my butt! I love her energy and passion... I have been taking Pilates with Brittany for over 4 years, and to see this studio come to fruition is a dream come true - not only for her but for all of her clients!! Session Pilates is amazing! The owner is truly wonderful and her passion for pilates and working out is evident in each and every class that she teaches. I am not usually compelled to write reviews but I can't get enough of Session! I found Pilates since 9 months ago I broke 6 bones in my foot and there isn't much exercise that has helped and not hurt. The ladies here are extremely welcoming and kind (both the teacher and people taking classes)! No one makes you feel intimidated if you can't do the move. They just help you modify it to help you get stronger. I love the idea that I can get fit and lay down or keep weight off of the bad foot I'm trying to work. I've made Session one of the many things I'm doing to continue rehabbing and it's great! I would say this place is perfect for all skill levels - the beginner curious person up to the advanced stretch armstrong person! Love it! read more

I tried Pilates for the first time in my life at SESSION about a week ago. A friend of mine was interested and this was the most convenient location to our apts. Brittany was very welcoming to us when we arrived and explained in detail how everything worked with the machines and memberships. After one class I was hooked! I am the most uncoordinated, out-of-shape person in the room, however the classes are wonderful and I really feel my body starting to morph. I can't do all of the moves yet because they are made to challenge you, but Brittany can show you modifications. They also offer various levels based on your skill set--from Beginner to Advanced. I highly encourage newcomers to go to the Beginners class to learn the moves and receive more individual attention, however, if you are like me and have a busy work schedule, you can do the majority of the regular class and it is an awesome challenge! This place is amazing! I'm not big on Pilates but LOVED this class. I like to run and lift weights so my workout is a little different than a typical Pilates class. The instructor (the owner) was amazing. Your muscles are burning the entire workout. YOU WILL BE SORE after a session with her. The owner is very welcoming with a bubbly personality. She walks around and will assist if you're not using the correct form, which is something I think is lacking in other studios. Music is great and up beat to keep the motivation high. You could be new or very familiar with this type of workout and she will cater it to your capability. You may feel a bit overwhelmed when you first arrive but she's very thorough in explaining the equipment and type of workout you're about to do. I give this studio FIVE stars because it is what it deserves. For being a new studio in an already saturated area it is doing great! Keep up the great work Session. read more
