I love visiting solidcore locations, but my experience at Knox Heights scarred me from trying new locations... I'm approaching 250 classes, so I'm not new to this. I know what I am doing and I love to get my bum kicked. I had Taylor M as my instructor on 06/2025. Did I get a good workout? Yes. Did something happen for me to assume that I had been passive aggressively discriminated? You tell me. My fiancé s from Texas. Solidcore is my way of recentering myself when I go see my in-laws. I visited Preston Hollow's location the year prior. I do not expect to be treated poorly by the staff--especially not in a big city like Dallas. My question to Taylor M and the staff member that day--do you think my sweat is contagious? Do you believe that I am going to exude some infection through my pores? Do you think my existence is going to affect you through airborne diseases? No, I did not smell. I did not sweat excessively (even that shouldn't have led to this experience). It is protocol for everyone to wipe down their stations after a workout. Everyone in the class was given ~4 wipes, which is the usual amount I get in California. At Knox Heights, I was given 22 wipes to clean my machine. That is what prompted me to look at how much everyone else received. I was surprised. And in the world of Solidcore, if you know, you know... how absurd this is. Taylor M, be better. Do good. Solidcore should be a safe place for all clients... regardless of their race, religion, and sexual orientation. It should be about uniting diverse groups of people... and like my favorite coach says, "you have 50 minutes--that's 3,000 seconds to work on you and only you." read more

This is seriously the best pilates experience in Dallas. I've been to 5 classes now and every single instructor I've had has been energetic, encouraging, genuinely helpful and supportive, and peppy! I'm not sure what training these coaches go through but they know exactly how to cue for the best mind-to-muscle training, and they always have the best music and timing! It's so well thought out and put together I almost don't mind how expensive it is. read more

Solidcore Knox Heights, near Knox/Henderson is one of more than 50 Solidcore studios nationwide. The location has "retail" parking in the garage of the Knox Heights building it's housed in, and is easy to get to. I've been going to Solidcore workouts for a few months now, mainly in NYC, and the workout is no joke. Knowing that I can get the same workout in NYC as I can in Dallas is a huge bonus. The instructors create the energy in the room, and Matt, the studio manager, gave awesome classes and was able to adjust to the needs of those taking the class, whether it was your 1st Solidcore class or your 50th. With only 12 spots in the room, he can help give you pointers, add springs/weights, or remove them based on your level for the day. Like every Solidcore studio, showers are *not* provided here. But they have your water bottle fillers, changing rooms and bathrooms, and a few amenities to boot. The music can be loud, so they do offer earplugs. The lights are low and in a cool blue. And the attitudes are always positive and supportive of one another. In fact, that's the Solidcore way. All in all, I love this workout and intend on coming back to Solidcore Dallas anytime I'm in town visiting family, and continuing to strengthen and improve my body with each class I take. read more

Review is simple - I love solidcore, and I'm so pleased that Dallas has two locations. I mainly workout at the PHV location, but every time I have come over to this Knox Heights location, I have not been disappointed. The coaches here are very knowledgeable, and parking is easy. (Do not be fooled - the fine print under the "reserved" signs in the garage say reserved for retail!) You can either wear grip socks or go barefoot. Bring a water bottle, they have a place you can refill. I will love solidcore to my dying day - give it a chance! read more

I have now been to SolidCore twice and I'm definitely going to continue going. Both classes I took were their "community classes" for $10 a class. Basically the community class is with a new instructor. I honestly do not see a difference between a new instructors class vs another instructor. I for sure know I'm getting an amazing workout new instructor or not. (Then again I've only gone to the new instructors classes). Anyways, I love the vibe of SolidCore. Everyone so far has been super inviting and wanting you to be successful for the 50 minutes you are there and once you leave. I am still sore from going which means I know it's working and I'm out of shape.. hahah. I don't know about the other members, but I leave SWEATY each time. I'm a fan and I can already tell my body is going to be super thankful once I start taking more classes. By the way.. super clean environment, you do not have to wear shoes, and they have water for sell there. I think a single class is around $30, but I've been lucky to go to the community classes and their new location is opening in Preston and they are doing free classes all week! Yay! read more

For first timers there was not a lot of clear direction what to do- there was an empty desk but it wasn't for checkin and no one to point out where basic things like where storage, restrooms or water were. As this is mega reformer and doing for the first time, there was no direction and room super dark, and everyone is not spaced out enough, it's asking for an injury. Loud music, smells of sweat not for me, I prefer bright white spaces for pilates and the instructor to walk around and correct to prevent injury and improve posture. It should be varied classes for beginners to advanced. I didn't find it zen at all either music way too loud and can't stand the loud microphone. read more

This is the place to go to if you want to get abs! I could feel every ab muscle working throughout the whole class! All the instructors are great, my favorite is Nace he's great at helping with adjustments and pushing us to keep going. Easy parking as there's an attached garage. I went to Solidcore today and was blown away. The machines are less than 2 feet apart, all but 2-3 machines were in use, no temp checks, not a single person (other than myself) wore a mask during class (though the instructor did). They have the machines flipped every other to keep people's heads away from each other, but you're still way closer than 6 feet to the person on either side of you. I will not be going back during Covid. I felt very unsafe. read more

Solidcore is THE hardest group fitness class I've done. I love the friendly environment, clubby vibe, loud music , and most importantly HARDCORE workout that makes you question why you are paying your hard-earned money to suffer. But I always come back, and if not because of the high price, I'd love to be come more often. I've been to every pilates/lagree studios in Dallas area, and solidcore is my favorite - it's hard and it's fun. If you get a chance, take Sam's class (she's the studio manager). She will remember your name and pushes you through your limits. But honestly every single instructor here is amazing, I've taken classes with most of them at this point and you'll always get a great workout which I can't say of every studio around town. Nov update: So I tried a few more coaches and found out about Ariel. Guys seriously Ariel is the funniest person ever! She will push you, but at the same time her sense of humor will make the time go a little faster. read more

Amazing cuing. It didn't matter where the instructor was, because the cuing was that good. She said exactly where each foot and hand needed to be for every movement, what springs we needed, how big of a movement we were doing (in an inch, out an inch), and how many seconds we had in that movement or hold. Periodically, she'd also indicate which muscle we were working, the breath, and form. I repeat, amazing cuing. It was hard physically and mentally. I'm really sore -- a rarity for me! Holds kill me, but the instructor was very motivating in getting us to stay a few more seconds. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The instructor was also really good about how to scale each exercise up and down. Scaling down meant a lot of time on my knees, which ended up being a problem for me. The instructor attention was really good. She remembered everyone's name (how?!) and encouraged individuals. When people didn't understand the instructions, she visited and corrected. When I put different springs on, this instructor noticed (a definite rarity in a workout Pilates-like studio!). The studio requires a tutorial about the megaformer ahead of time, which I appreciated. The studio has 11 megaformers and everything fits perfectly. There's not a ton of room, but it didn't feel cramped. Not sure I loved the blue lights, but that question gave me something to ponder while I held on a few more seconds. The only downside is a pet peeve of mine: music. Keep it clean(er) and professional. The N word isn't ok. read more

I absolutely love [solidcore]! My very first class was at a Chicago location and I died. Not sure what exactly inside me wanted to do it again, but I looked up locations and saw they had one in Dallas! I've never taken a Pilates class before I came here, so I'm not sure how it is in comparison to actual Pilates classes, but I hear this is probably the hardest of the hardest. The coaches are absolutely awesome and will help fix your form and guide you the entire way. The 50 minutes flies by and you're always dripping in sweat by the end. The ambience is cool and it's definitely a good workout--but it's not my favorite. But I am partial--I have been doing the Lagree Method for about 4 years now and I prefer that machine and workout by far; I find it much more challenging and the machine to be sturdier (One Lagree and Studio 6 Pilates here in Dallas have Lagree machines). The owner of Solidcore actually ripped off Sebastian Lagree and made her own 'Svetlana' machine. Back to the workout: it's still good, and more challenging than your standard Pilates reformer class. I think those that have not taken many megareformer classes will find it quite challenging. I personally just don't feel quite the same burn but they are on ClassPass, so I do go occasionally. And if you happen to be reading this, solidcore, I do have one request: Do you think you could stop spraying the entryway and studio with copious amounts of Febreeze? Many people are chemically sensitive (me!) and even for those who aren't, it still contains many harmful toxins. I have almost walked out in the past because of this. read more

I LOVE SOLIDCORE! I've tried every Pilates/reformer class under the Dallas sun and have never enjoyed it as much as now-- hence why I go 4 to 5 times a week. I feel so much stronger and leaner than when I first started almost 3 months ago. This workout will kick your ass every time but it's so worth it! This is the hardest workout you'll most likely *ever* do. I consider myself in top shape and have taught group fitness classes for quite a while too... However, solidcore pushes my muscles to the point of complete failure every single time! I've never gone to a solidcore class and NOT been sore afterwards. Sometimes immediately, lol. It's challenging in the hardest and best way, (as in... after 5 minutes, you'll be wondering what you just got yourself into) but you'll be hooked after taking a few classes. Results in your physique are quicker than any group fitness format I've ever tried. Unfortunately, I no longer live in Dallas; however, this studio is a must for me every time I come to town. Why would you waste thousands of dollars on personal training or go to a spin studio where the teacher spends more time lighting candles than teaching class? When you can go to solid core and get your ass kicked much harder for much less! That's my experience at solid core. Solid Core is the hardest workout I've ever had. My favorite thing about Solid Core is the coaches, if they feel you could be putting more effort in your work out or are using poor form they will call you out or help you. Four stars because this workout killed me even though I was completely terrible at it. I went during the opening week for a free community class and got a quick intro to Sweatlana (think Pilates reformer on steroids) before class started. Our instructor was high energy and encouraging even though I took way more breaks then I should have. I was sweating within the first minute and sore for days after the class ended. It sucked in a great way but the price point will prevent me from checking it out again. read more

This was a really challenging, but really fun class! Expect to sweat a lot and to push yourself HARD! All of the exercises were done on the [solidcore] machines, which kind of resemble pilates machines, but are larger and more intense. The instructor I had, Mariuxi, was great at motivating and keeping everyone engaged, which made the experience much less intimidating. She called out the next move ahead of time and counted down to the position changes (I'm not sure if that's something all the instructors do, or if it's just her style of coaching), which made the class easy to follow. Holy Mother. This is the toughest and best workout for getting your insides tighter. I do every kind of workout and this one is the real deal. You won't get your heart rate up tremendously, everything is purposefully slow and controlled - but I will tell you, you will be humbled. I started solidcore a few months ago and can say with certainty it is the best group fitness class I have ever done (mostly thanks to the instructors). I am always greeted by name when I walk in and I truly feel like the coaches care. I am also encouraged and challenged throughout the entire workout. This place is seriously legit. I take pilates at a studio nearby and one of the ladies told me about [solidcore] saying it was the "toughest workout" she's ever done.... so I had to give it a try. She was right! I lift weights as my workout of choice my favorite way to workout, and I was really surprised how shaky I got in this class, it's completely different than any other workout I've done. I love Katie!! She's an awesome instructor. I'm hooked on [solidcore] and honestly seeing more definition in my shoulders after a couple weeks. Prepare for about 15 minutes of core/plank work. Great 50 minute workout. My whole body was shaking, and I was definitely sore the next day. Spin vibes with colored lights, loud music, and a motivating instructor.
