I am a HUGE fan of corepower yoga!!!! Best workout! My favorite dimensions of the workout include a balanced training between strength, balance, stretching, mind, and soul. The most impactful practices are when the instructors are positive and sharing affirmations and uplifting mantras to the class. It is truly a gift. I give 4 stars only because it's very discouraging to lock the doors 1 minute after practice begins. I had a friend who drove 1 hour to visit the studio and the front desk was not entirely kind or understanding. It wasn't on brand or in line with the culture of corepower, how I see it. Rules are rules but I wonder if it would be possible to scatter coverage even by 10 minutes to allow a few stragglers in. Absolutely recommend corepower yoga! Just show up early :) read more

I went to the CorePower in Mockingbird station and this was my first class and NOWHERE did it tell me to provide an ID. Not in the confirmation text or email. Since I did not drive there I did not have mine and the instructor was very passive agressive and did not let me in. I understand that they have a policy on a minimum age, however if they are going to have such policy and the right to refuse, then as a business you should inform the customer ahead of time that a ID is required if you are on the younger side:) read more

If you've ever been to CorePower you know this company offers a full suite of mind + body workout formats ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced. But, the location on Mockingbird goes above and beyond the typical CP experience offering dynamic and encouraging instructors with exceptional customer service. The studio spaces underwent an intense deep cleaning during COVID closings and have reopened with socially distanced mat markers and sanitation stations throughout the facility. Parking can be overwhelming so definitely plan to arrive a bit early and also plan to bring a mat as mat rentals are no longer an option. If you're feeling confused about what each of the formats is and/or what to expect just give the studio a call--it's a way better option than booking a heated experience when you like a dry flow, etc. read more

I came to this studio twice while on vacation. I normally take classes at a different CorePower studio in Virginia, so I more or less knew what to expect. I took two C2 classes (intermediate), and I liked both, but one of them was heated more like a Bikram studio. I wasn't prepared for this, since all the other C2 to classes I've been to here and at my home studio weren't nearly as hot. The teachers were good, and the facilities were nice. However, the second day, there was an overflowing toilet in the locker room at the beginning of class, and by the end of class there was toilet water all over the locker room floor and on the carpet, which I stepped on in my bare feet. I understand these things happen, but I was kind of surprised that it hadn't been taken care of during the hour, or that they didn't at least put signs up to make sure nobody stepped on wet carpet. This was actually my deciding factor in choosing a different CorePower location for my subsequent class. read more

If you're running a few minutes late, don't even bother coming. They lock you out! This was my friend and I's very first class, so we had no idea that they had such a strict cancellation policy. We drove out of our way to a location that's farther away specifically for the hot yoga class. Bummer. read more

Fun vibe with fun people. I've been to the Preston Forest location and this one is a bit larger with a few more amenities. We actually ended up at this one on accident because we were about 60 seconds late to the other studio and they closed and locked the doors on us. Granted yes, we were tardy for the party. So we had just enough time to scoot over here for 2:30 pm vinyasa. It was a community class so it was free of charge as well which was pretty cool! Not sure how long they are doing this Sunday series but I loved it. The instructors here are kind, down to earth and were so helpful in getting me squared away and in the system. They seemed to really care about their clientele. Plus they have a mini yoga boutique up front so you can browse through their cute shiny tops, fancy mats, yoga accessories and jewelry. Overall I really loved the attention to detail and customer service at this one and although it's not as close as the other location I'd definitely come out of my way to come here for the experience alone. Only at Dallas mockingbird Core - power; is there a higher power self evident as this- I forgot my wallet, credit cards, and cash, inside, on the cubby closest to the door at the facility. For 27 hours my wallet lay there in plain sight. Over 100 people from all around practiced stowed in this area. When I return the next day. There it is, folded on its side with green leafy dollar bills visible to all Talk about powerful meditation with MJ. A living practice at work here, with this majority. Come and see for yourself. This kind of of respect, is the healing, people out there are Missing; as they search for answers. Wonderful! Came to Dallas to visit my mom and brother and needed to get some yoga in! My mother is 62 and has never done yoga before. Tiffany, our instructor, was very supportive, patient, and beautiful! She kept the flow for the class and yet was able to assist my mother through moves (especially because she could not bend too much and her balance was not great) After class she told my mother to not worry about being perfect at the poses. That the yoga practice was for her benefit, and that she wasn't being judged by anyone. She explained that the teachers were here to guide and help her, and if she had questions or anything to just ask and they would try to do everything to accommodate. When we left my mother said she wanted to join corepower, she was so impressed and happy! Thank you Dallas Corepower to making my stay in Dallas that much more beautiful! read more

I am in love with CorePower's candlelight hot yoga class! I have typically stayed away from yoga as I normally prefer higher intensity workouts, but I have really come to appreciate the peace and tranquility that yoga brings. Not to mention, it is a great workout for flexibility and strength. Hot yoga is more of my style (I like to work up a big sweat!), and I was a bit intimidated coming here with the minimal yoga experience I have. However, the class was great and everyone was quite welcoming! The class wasn't overbearing and the material was pretty easy to catch onto. Granted, I wasn't doing headstands like a lot of class members, but there were easier/alternative positions offered and I was more than happy to comply. More than anything, candlelight hot yoga is just a fantastic way to clear your mind and relax your body after a long and stressful week. I'm hooked! read more

They offer a great variety and decent pricing (hard to find yoga that won't break the bank). I do like their pace (not to scary if you are new to yoga), but I wish there were some deep stretching classes for those of us who sit at desks all day and need some serious stretching/opening up. They have awesome hot yoga and strength yoga classes that I recommend. The teachers are encouraging and fun (you will not feel bad wherever you are at in your practice). The classes are not too full like many other studios where you are hitting people. They also sell yoga attire and mats. I am happy this yoga chain has come to Dallas! Had an amazing experience. our instructor for Wednesday night was Analisa and she was wonderful, very positive and respectful. This place is AMAZING!!!! The classes are challenging and never boring. I was blown away by the customer service, experience & cleanliness. Catrina,Matt, Abby, MJ, Lisa, Joy( from Fort Worth location) and many more will treat you right. They are not just educated in poses but will adjust you and correct you when needed. Unfortunately I moved to the DC area and even though I am still a CorePower Member- I miss my team in Dallas/FortWorth. The DC area I am adjusting to the style and intenseness of the different teachers. Love this place! I moved here from Arizona in July (right before this place opened in August) and was happy to see that there was a new CorePower opening at Mockingbird Station on my way to work. Although AZ doesn't have a CorePower, I've heard good things about it from people in California. As an FYI, I'm not a "newbie" when it comes to yoga since I've been doing it for a few years, but I am by no means a pro at it either. I did the week of free yoga first and the month unlimited Groupon after and hope to continue my membership in the future. I've done all the different class levels at this point, Yoga Sculpt (with weights) and the C2 Heated Power Yoga are my favorites. If you're new to yoga, the yoga sculpt is good for toning muscles but doesn't have as many of the "traditional" yoga moves as other classes. Both are great workouts, it just depends what type of class you are looking for! All the instructors are great, and I highly recommend trying one of Susie's classes. She always does new and different moves and is very passionate about inspiring others through yoga! read more

If you love yoga, you don't mind a lil sweat and want to really strength you core, this is the place. I went trying out their free trial week. I had injured my knee and needed a low impact workout. I use to do cheerleading and felt like my core muscles didn't even exist anymore. After trying out the mockingbird location for a week I felt sooo much better! The staff was so friendly! Even though I had only done yoga once before, the instructors worked with me and were encouraging and showed me ways to work with my injury. After just that one week I had my flexibility back, my back was hurting less, I didn't feel as week and to top it off It was a great way to get rid of the stress of the week and feel focused. I tried all of their classes with the exception of the class that incorporates weights. ( I didn't want to push my self to far) I would recommended trying it out, there's a class for everyone. Even friends who do mostly weights at their gym tried out the hot yoga class and came out drenched talking about how challenging it was but I real good workout. read more

I have emailed many times asking to cancel my membership and have not received ANY responses. CorePower is a pretty solid mix of vinyasa and ashtanga, especially their C2 classes. For those of you looking to do more relaxation yoga, avoid the C2 classes - you'll be sweating your butt off. The rooms are heated so you will be drenched in your own sweat from the heat and from you moving so much. If you're at least familiar with poses, you can easily take a C2 class - just take modifications on the poses. The studio itself is really nice - very "Dallas". They have separate locker rooms for men and women with showers, little cubbies and the works. The studio is definitely nicer than some of the other independent studios which is probably why their drop in rates are more expensive than the smaller studios throughout Dallas. The instructors and staff are really nice and welcoming - practice is all about your flow and movement. They do have mirrors in their rooms which I personally have a love/hate relationship with. It's great that you can see yourself during practice to make corrections but it can also be a huge distraction because you may end up focusing on how you look versus how your body feels. Definitely a great workout for those new and seasoned to yoga. Love the music selection although it deviates from what some consider "traditional practice". But as long as you're having fun and working your body out the way you want to, who gives a damn? P.S. after now attending a few Yoga sculpt classes... Oh my god that class kicks everyone's ass. Goodness! First off I have been away from Dallas last 5 years only coming back once a month in uptown. I have been recently practicing at Exhale in Venice, CA (Great Studio) for 2 years, and 3 years prior on and off at different studios on the Upper East Side in NYC. While in Dallas I would attend YogaSport on Lemmon, great studio with 1 1/2 your power classes, great teachers, no mirrors and no music but very good classes. Now I live in Mstreets and needed a closer location...BLAH BLAH BLAH So I searched Yelp and found studios around me, not a big fan of SUNSTONE (YUK) so tried first free week at Core and WOW Really Awesome, consistent, interesting classes. I like mirrors for adjustments, and they have music!! For some reason the last 5 years most studios just play it in the beginning =( NICE NICE front desk, no judgement, laid back, no competitive yogis, CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN changing rooms, clean floors, and the biggest plus Ive ever had in a studio...wait for it AN AWESOME CEILING!! USUALLY STUDIOS FORGET HOW MUCH TIME WE SPEND LOOKING UP!! It is a warm room, I have only taken the C2 classes but I love to sweat and twist the toxins out! I haven't attended when SMU is in session so not sure if it turns into frat town, but looking forward to trying other location on Henderson! hope they stay humble!! read more

Practicing here for the past couple of months has not only expanded my yoga practice but has also helped me get back into shape. This studio, along with its 2 sister studios (one on Henderson and the other on Preston), offers sculpting classes with weights, vinyasa flow (CorePower 1,2, and 3), and hot power fusion classes. Classes are heated, so be prepared to sweat! Sculpting classes incorporate a light and heavy set of weights while you flow and involve intense cardio and squats in the mix. I always leave these classes drenched in sweat and feeling sore, but nevertheless more empowered! CorePower 1 classes are routine and not heated to the extent of other classes. I would recommend these classes for beginners or those who want to strengthen/review basics as teachers go over proper technique for chatarangas, etc. CorePower 2 classes involve vinyasa flow at a heated temp. Each instructor has his/her own signature and will usually set an intention or goal at the beginning of class. Hot power fusion, is somewhat structured as an abridged Bikram class at a less heated temp than a usual Bikram class. You will still sweat profusely, but this class is set to a more relaxing rhythm. All classes are set to ambient music, with the exception of sculpting classes (as expected to get you amped to pump some iron). All the instructors are friendly and offer hands on adjustments, as needed, and will respect your space if you'd prefer not to be touched. The studio has 2 classrooms and is always well-kept despite the numerous classes they offer. Download the app for easy access to classes, times, and instructors at each studio. The studio has separate locker rooms, showers, and other amenities for your convenience and is located in Mockingbird station. Parking can be a bit of a problem on some nights, as it shares a lot with Twin Peaks and other restaurants. Just be prepared to arrive early to give yourself adequate time to unwind and set up your space for a peaceful hour. Cheers yogis! read more

Let me preface this by saying that I am in no way a yoga expert and was literally terrified to try it. However, I needed a change in my workout regimen BADLY. So I went in to try their free week, just to test it out, ya know. Plus, it's free so nothing to lose. My first class, C1, was with Noemi and had about 7 others in it.She was so kind, so welcoming, and made me feel not like a complete idiot. So obviously, I came back the very next day and took a class with Shelley. Y'all, it was just me and her, so it was like a private lesson. I loved that she was not afraid to touch my sweaty (hey! its hot in there) shoulders and back to push me (not too hard) deeper into the poses. It was so intimate and refreshing. So obviously, I am a Black Tag member now, after only 2 classes. I never thought I would get into yoga, much less heated yoga. I love it here. LOVE IT. I'm excited to branch out to other classes (and locations) once I get the basics down. read more

I Love Maggie and a few others classes. Never thought I would like corporate yoga but if you can accept that some of them add in the breathing and philosophy as the base to a practice and get to the core of it all....it becomes less about corporate yoga. Lots of great cues and the music is on point. The studio over all is easy to park, it is super clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Some of the classes are a little too hot for me. I absolutely love this place and I love love love this location in particular. Before being "suckered" into attending a Yoga Sculpt class with zero knowledge of that class entailed I always thought of yoga as something you do when you're done with your real workout. I went to Yoga Sculpt with a friend who told me nothing about it thinking "Oh this will be a great stretch"! My Lord was I wrong! That class kicked the bejesus out of me and I was sore for 5 days like never before in my life and I work out 3-5 times a week (weights and cardio). Somewhere in this pain I got hooked on CPY. I went back for some C1s and HPF and could not be happier with what this place offers. All the instructors have been beyond awesome and I look forward to going there every single time. I had never taken a C2 class previously...I usually can only take HPF late nights due to my schedule in LA and I'd taken C1 before. But Marco's C2 class was so intense and challenging!! I recently joined with an affordable unlimited membership and have experienced 5 instructors so far- each one is amazing and talented, and will challenge your body and calm your mind. They also have really nice facilities with a couple of showers in the locker rooms and lockers to keep you stuff. They offer a free week to new students! CorePower is amazing. I really enjoy going to the C2 classes. I played volleyball in college and really struggle to find a work out that was something I wouldn't phase out of. I love that the class allows me to push my body to limits I have never dreamed of...but my body never "hurts" after a workout the way lifting weights, running or volleyball would. Yes I'm sore but a good sore! C2 is awesome because you move from position to position fairly quickly and the music is uptempo and awesome...great if you have ADD like me. Highly recommend this studio for great results physically and mentally. read more

I've been doing yoga for about a year and am used to the California small studio environment so I was skeptical about trying something so mainstream. Our instructor was from San Diego put back that small studio feel into our class.
