I do find their Tread classes a little intimidating now that I am older... Even in the Walk class, the young women who are in fabulous shape will whip you into the ground with their intensity! Oh, Club Pilates. It is the most expensive out of all the places I go, or have tried, but I cannot…read morequit this place. I just love it here way too much. I like to work out alone and not do anything team related, and this spot gives me that. The reformers are so spread out you feel like you're on your own island. The bins to hold your belongings are right next to you so it is really your own space. They keep the lights low, the blue lights glowing, the music is thumping in a quiet way, and the instructors talk in that perfect soft Pilates/yoga voice. I like to get here a few minutes before class so I can stretch a little on my own before we get started. Another comforting part is the work outs are about that same each time. You know you will start with leg presses, but you don't know which version, and when you think you have done every move you can on a reformer then the instructors mix it up. You will never be bored. You will also get lots of stretching between muscle groups. Then at the end of class when you make it to feet in straps you know you are in the home stretch - and you literally get to stretch those worked-out legs. I can think back to that first class I took in Feb 2023 uncertain where I would go with Pilates, and I am so happy I decided to give it a try. My muscles are more toned, my balance is better. I can do the flow 1.5 (from flow 1) with not much difficulty (on most days). I still have a ways to go to be tip top to make it to flow 2. The ultimate goal is getting to that flow 2.5. For now I enjoy the journey and getting my body better. This is one of the few places I know that have a 5:30am class so I can take it and make it to work on time. All the instructors are amazing and helpful. When you come in you check in at the front desk and pick your reformer. Write your name on the card on the mirror and get ready for the work out. Like most Pilates places - use the app to book and don't forget your grip socks!

You are excited to try something new!! They set you up in their system as they handle you 2 pages of stuff with a punch card. In conversation and meanwhile another person adjacent to you is signing someone else up, they mention that it is a 3 month commitment. However, they FAIL TO MENTION a long list of stipulations ex. A) 30 day written notice to cancel B) there will be one final monthly membership charge after notice is received. In addition, every class is on an app. 1) there are very few classes offered by "level" 2) Level 1.5 is highly over booked. For the most part, you get on a "Waiting list" and must wait until very close to the time of class to see if you are fortunate enough to get "Booked". Each class is a credit and if it books you regardless of how much time you have to get there, you must attend class or lose the credit. Attached please find the "paperwork" so you can make your own decision before stopping in. At first I was so excited to join and now I must look out for email notifications. For me, working out needs to be fun, easy and carefree. NOW, I have to spend my time checking email notifications. Ugh

The program creates workouts that are never the same each day so if you're like me who gets bored with doing the same exact routine every day then this is a workout for you. This location offers classes that start as early as 530am, 630am, 10am, 530pm and 630pm. On Fridays their latest class is at 530pm and Saturdays they only have 930am and 1130am classes with a DJ present to get the people going. Each class is scheduled for 45minutes. They start out the class with the trainers demonstrating each station. But they also have three TVs that will also have someone showing you what to do at the station so you don't have to memorize what each station is. Then, after the demonstration everyone faces the TVs to follow the warm up moves. At this time, trainers will walk around to give you a station number where you will start your workout after you finish warming up. If you don't get sweaty after a F45 workout, you're not challenging yourself enough. And last but not least, as to why I commit to going every day is because of the trainers. I've tried different gyms/ workout classes but the dedication and motivation that the trainers bring to class every day is inspirational. So whether you're an athlete or someone going to the gym for the very first time, they make you feel comfortable and are truly engaging throughout the classes. They will even do it with you! If you're in the Victory Park/Uptown location, it doesn't hurt to try F45. They offer a free 7 day trial so you can get a taste of what it's like.

The reformer (I don't know if that is what it is called here) is different than the reformers I am used to. The workouts are fast paced, and there is no stretching in between. When you come in, be prepared for the muscle shakes and lots of sweating. The music is loud, and the energy is high. I knew I wanted to come back because of how good I felt after the initial shock of the workout wore off. I have been coming back at least once a week since June and the improvement I see in myself is pretty rad. I can do a lot of the movements slower (that's the goal...go slow and let it burn) and I have less muscle shake than that first class. When you arrive at the studio you are always greeted with a friendly smile to check in. The instructors here are all badass in their own way. They all have headsets so you can hear them give directions during the workout. They also walk around and watch your form and offer help or modifications when needed. They have all been very encouraging especially on some of the times I struggled. I love that you can add extra springs on or take some off depending on how spicy/not spicy you want the work out to be. The full body work out is the class I always do, and you do get a full body workout. No workout is exactly the same. You will work arms, legs and core in any order. Then at the end you will get to stretch and do some breathing exercises for the last several minutes. My favorite classes are Sundays with Cole. Or the twilight 8pm class where they turn the lights low and give you a cozy mocktail at the end of the class. The Kourtney/Courtenys are great, Arvin, Carson and anyone else I have forgotten to mention or haven't tried out yet. I love them all! When you're done there is an amazing cold scented (I think peppermint) towel on your machine which is the perfect accessory to cool down. Like most Pilates places they require grip socks (you can purchase at the studio if you forget). They have lockers and towels and a water station for use. They even sell a few healthy snacks, juices and energy drinks. You will also use their app to buy credits and book your classes. It's easy peasy. If your selfie game is weak, keep practicing. I don't think the workout counts if you didn't get a selfie with the cute sayings posted around the studio. But seriously, I am a little insecure and still find myself getting a photo to show off my progress. So don't be shy!
