I don't usually write reviews unless they are truly warranted. Last year I decided to give crossfit a try and found the CF Luna family. The coaches are well rounded and cater to every level of experience. The community is very friendly and encouraging. (Shout out 5:30am crew). In turns of program the days are split to and have a theme to them. Thursday's are capacity/endurance days, Wednesday tend to be gymnastic days, Tuesday is barbell focused. Saturday's are awesome as they are usually partner WODs You will be pushed, challenged and you will have fun and make life long friends along the way. Love CF Luna! Best coaches, great community! I've been a member for 1.5 years and I love it. The coaches are always so responsive and safety is always a priority. They pay attention to what we lack as a group and program accordingly while still keeping it personal up to remembering of you have some injury/impediment to adjust the WOD for you. Just finishing up a couple days here in Dallas/Irving area for a work event and dropped in 2 days to Crossfit Luna. I can not recommend this box enough. The people in the classes are SO welcoming. The coaches started each class that I was in with a "turn around an introduce yourself to someone you don't know". This really made me feel comfortable. The program was awesome. Day 1: Jackie Day 2: 3RFT 30push ups, 20DL and 1 rope climb * Challenging accessory work was programmed after each metcon as well. You can't go wrong with Luna CrossFit. It's so much more than just a gym. It's a place where you find both your physical and mental strength. It's a place where the people around you truly care about each other, not just the coaches (which are all freaking amazing btw). You would think they get paid when we do better by the way they support, cheer, and push us all. Everyday there's a new workout planned so you never get bored. From gymnastics to sprints, we cover it all. It's not just about weight lifting as I used to think CrossFit was. When you join, give it a couple of weeks, it'll be tough at first but after a week or two you'll love it. I've passed LF for years and my only regret is I wished I joined sooner. This is my second review of CF Luna. Two years ago, I was at Walt Disney World with my family. I realized how out of shape I was and how difficult it was to last all day and keep up. Two years later, I'm back at Walt Disney World and because of Crossfit, I lasted 12 hours yesterday, full of energy and never felt out of breathe of loss of energy. I could have kept going but the parks closed. I also wore my CF t-shirt and Spartan finisher tshirt and I've gotten several high-fives and started conversations about CF. it really is a great community. read more

I am sure that this is a very fine gym...if you simply walk in as a part of their standard program. A bit of background. I haven't worked out consistently in about a year and want to get back into crossfit. Not completely out of shape, but wanted to do a couple of personal training sessions to ensure that I get familiar with the movements before heading into a class (understanding that classes are not the best place to learn). Seems reasonable to me. I am happy to pay for a couple of personal training sessions for a few weeks. The problem. You can not get anyone from this place to answer the phone to have a conversation about scheduling a session. I have been trying for three weeks. I filled out the form. I have called a couple of times a week to leave messages. I emailed. I even tried to connect with the owner via LinkedIn to see if that would help. The best I have been able to do was schedule a call at 11am (middle of the work day). I will admit that I missed the call (which came in five minutes late). My call back 15 minutes later...direct to voicemail. After that, I sent a text message to the number (offered in the voicemail I received). You will be surprised to hear....nearly 24 hours later...no response. Amazing. Someone willing to pay a premium that wants to be a part of the gym going forward and plans to order food from territory (Crossfit Luna has a relationship with them)...can't get in touch with someone about getting started. They must be doing well as they clearly aren't working hard to get new customers. read more

Everyone there was so welcoming and Coach Lawrence was great in providing feedback on the day's WOD of snatches and front squats. This is by far one of the best boxes in Dallas. For starters, the coaches are knowledgeable and patient. This is a gym where coaches care about proper form and technique!! On top of that, the members are kind and welcoming. I've been a member for two years and I would say I've lasted this long because of how much I enjoy the staff and the members. This gym is equipped with plenty of equipment for each class. So you won't find yourself sharing one rowing machine with five other people. I've been at CrossFit Luna for two years now and love this place! The coaches are knowledgeable and focus on safety with proper movement patterns before adding heavy loads. The facility itself is great with high quality equipment and the floor plan allows for a lot of flexibility in WOD design. The community and coaches take great pride in the facility and it is extremely clean! I had originally chose Luna for the location as it was on my way to work and the women's locker room is the best I've ever seen at any CrossFit gym! The community though is the best! Dropped in for the 6:30 am class and was made to feel very welcome from the start. The box is very spacious and clean with all the gear. Members introduced themselves as well which was nice. My favorite Crossfit box! Give a try! I was a little intimidated at first but the coaches and community are so welcoming that makes you not want to miss a class. It's literally a Friend finder and workout partners- nothing better than having a friend by your side cheering on you to finish a workout. Don't be scared from what you hear about Crossfit, not everyone is insane only a couple and the level of intensity it's up to you. The coaches will always have variations for the workouts and the feeling that comes after you complete a workout will make you feel very accomplished! The coaches have a lot of patience and will constantly make sure that you are practicing safe sets and not hurt yourself. I can write a book for the million reasons why I like this community so much! Truly amazing gym! I moved to Irving in 2016 and luckily was able to find this gym and it was incredible. The coaches are so dedicated, don't let you do "CrossFit" until all the safety tricks are well learned, so I felt very comfortable! I had to move away and haven't found a gym as good and welcoming as Luna! I miss all the coaches, all the friends, even the WODs! Great times! Crossfit luna is a great place to work out and get to know really nice people. The facility is top notch. They have an abundance of HVAC equipment which keeps the temperature perfect as well as extremely high quality restrooms and locker rooms. You can tell that they take great pride in their gym and in what they do. More than anything, the instructors make the experience so enjoyable. They do a great job stressing fundamentals and providing a great workout specific to your skill level.
