But the fact that they point out people who have their mask below their nose but allow people wear face shields where there is absolutely no spread prevention and has an open ventilation around their face is kind of ridiculous and inconsistent. Overall its a great gym but that needs to be mitigated immediately. read more

I recently left this gym because I moved across the city. This has to be one of the nicest gyms that I have ever been to. From the building on the outside to how luxurious it looks on the inside. I don't think I ever wrote a review for this Life Time, if I did, it probably got deleted. I joined because it was close to home and heard good things about the gym when I was in Chicago, but I guess the location does matter. If you expect to have the same customer service like in a big city you're mistaken. I joined and they told me they have to have a trainer talk to me about my goals, I told them I didn't want to speak to a trainer, but I guess it was part of their process. The trainer I was working with I can't remember his name for the life of me, but he was dreadful. When the trainer was asking me questions "to get to know me", he kept staring off in the distance at someone else, while I was talking!! I could tell he really didn't care. He made me feel completely dumb and worthless. I gave him my goal weight and he told me that I needed to lose more, uhm excuse me!!!?? After this I complained and he was informed about it and started giving me looks each time I would come in. I didn't feel comfortable being at that gym anymore... one time I was walking down the hallway and he was with the other trainer talking about something the second I walk passed they stop talking, stare at me, and then start whispering... no clue if it was about me, but regardless it was unbelievably unprofessional. I cancelled my membership with 48 hours. They didn't even try to keep me as a member, pretty much just said, sorry to see you go and have a good day. Never again. read more

Literally I love lifetime fitness and every single one I've been to have been AMAZING. Up until I came here, no issues with staff - legit equipment here is scarce. And by that I mean they have a couple machines that they only have 1 of so you end up fighting and waiting over it. Not to mention they're missing half of the other shit I use at the other gyms. My mom and I went to her local Lifetime Fitness in Arizona to work out. We asked if they could give me a discount for the week pass since I was in the military. We didn't ask for a free pass, just some sort of discount. The manager told us the reason they don't give any discounts to military members is because it doesn't contribute anything to their business. His exact words, "If they [the military] are going to have Wellness Programs they need to put their money where their mouth is. Giving the military a discount doesn't help our business." What?! A simple, "No" would have sufficed. Crazy because other LT Fitness' give discounts. My mom also spoke with the gentleman regarding the issue and he told her, "I am titled to have my own opinion...there are too many people who walk in here expecting free things." We weren't asking for anything free, we asked a simple question. One of my really good friends, who is in the military, called and spoke with the GM, a Marine, who told him that they do offer free passes for the military and they are very supportive of active duty, retired, and reserve military members. I am appalled by the initial experience I had with this location and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

This place gets five stars where ever I go. You get so much more than a gym membership when joining Life Time Fitness. The place is always clean. Ample space for any kind of workout you want to do. The gym equipment is on point ... But when I took one of the classes the yoga mats smell ! I don't think they wash them.... The class was great though DONT ever go to the juice/smoothie bar ... They are SO slow .. Like a bunch of big ass buffoons trying to figure how to make an almond spinach smoothie ... How long does that take 20 minutes + and there was NOONE before me !!!!!!!!!! All you have to do is throw almond milk and throw spinach and pour into a cup .. It takes less than a minute .. Anyways I ended up canceling and got a refund but wasted 20 minutes waiting and I looked over the counter they just started blending it like WtF! This place does everything but change the oil on your vehicle! I've been a member for 4 years and have really enjoyed the gym a ton. I've been to other Lifetime Fitness locations and really appreciate the staff at my LTF! Everyone always, yes always, says hello or how are you doing; they even notice when I haven't been in for a while! The pricing on the food/shakes could be a little easier on the bank account but tastes great. Pricey but worth it. I got a 7day pass to use and fell in love with this place. The locker room was always clean. Unlimited towels to use, lockers (where you DON'T need to bring a lock because it uses your club card in exchange for a key), hair dryers, body wash in the showers, a sauna and the steam room with eucalyptus aroma therapy is something I miss terribly. ( I moved back home after school and was a member for 6 months) This place felt so pretentious when I first walked in- then I joined after my 7 days was up. Best decision I made in my life. Everyone was so friendly. I got two personal training sessions and Matt did a great job. He wasn't pushy and didn't overly pressure me to buy anything...this led up to me buying more training sessions on my own accord. I lost 20lbs with his help. I would take my lady friends (even my mother in-law) here to hang out in a spa like environment. The club advisers who signed me up would get me free passes for my friends to use so we could "get away" and relax at a gym. This place was like a huge spa. I always felt energized after leaving this place. Who goes to relax at the gym anyway? Always thought it was sweat and tears until I came here. My husband got a couple hair cuts at the salon and I did a Brazillian. I was given a cup of hot tea and they put a hot lavender scented sash thing that helped relax my shoulders before my wax session. The woman who did it was quick and very nice to keep me talking so I would be distracted from the pain. I also let her know it was my first time. I wish they would open up a club in my state! However when I visit I'll definitely be picking up a 7 day pass and if I move back to AZ....I will not hesitate to join again. They have successfully ruined my expectations of any gym out there- I simply cannot find a duplicate. read more

I have been a member since 2012 and I just love it. The group fitness instructors are top notch and so motivating. The yoga classes are included in your membership with several different class choices and amazing teachers. The locker rooms are awesome and include a steam room and sauna. Towel service is also included and they have bath towels too. When I walk in I am greeted by name and a warm welcome. They are always updating and improving the facility. The cycle studio has new bikes and a super cool light kit. You just can't go wrong. read more

I started going to this gym because, like everyone who goes to the gym, I wanted to improve my physique, but after taking Marcy V.'s Hot Vinyasa Yoga classes, my focus shifted. Although my physique, flexibility, stamina, and balance have all improved substantially, I've become less concerned with fitting into my skinny clothes and more concerned with my health and happiness. It's a great feeling. Aside from their incredible yoga instructors, the services and amenities here are top-notch, the staff are generally very friendly, and you can't beat the views of the desert sky and mountains you get from the massive windows upstairs. I spent a lovely week here at Lifetime on a free trial pass. I LOVED this gym and I didn't feel a ton of pressure to join (although be warned, when you're on a trial pass you DO have to check in with your sales person every day before working out). This is by far the cleanest gym I've ever been too, and the locker rooms are spacious, with clean towels and soap in the showers provided. Being a casual swimmer, I particularly appreciated the water-removal system for bathing suits and the plastic bags provided to store your still-damp suit in. They also have TONS of machines, ample treadmills, and a massive amount of classes. The downside? It costs $100 a month for a couple to join -- which is ultimately why I didn't sign on. It's just a little too expensive for my meager budget, but if I had the cash, this would be the place I'd spend it. read more

I've been a member of this gym for a year or two and I like that it is really clean, nice, equipment is up to date, even if it's busy I don't really have to wait for any machines.. love the eucalyptus steam room, the group classes, the fitness instructors and many of the staff members I've met. I haven't ever used the pools or childcare center so I can't comment on that. Overall it is a good gym (and I've been to many for comparison's sake) and I really enjoy it, but the only thing I dislike is like some others have said in their reviews, much of the management seems like a cult that don't truly care much about its members but are purely business-focused (much like you'd see in many other big companies across different industries). I don't get how so many in management don't seem to understand that being good to customers and employees as well as establishing a good (and not a snakey) reputation IS good for business. I've seen and heard a lot of sketchy things about them and some of the best fitness instructors/trainers have left due to one or more members of the management being unreasonable. Not all that surprising since it is a very corporate gym. But, for the most part, many people probably won't notice that part of it and will very much enjoy their experience here. It personally hasn't majorly affected my own experience there, but it's just one of those things that makes the gym less appealing and would make me think about switching if a comparable one that wasn't so corporate popped up in the area (there's a great one in Glendale called "XL Health Club" that comes to mind -- it is a spacious gym with awesome people across the board and has a more homey feel). read more

Love this gym! There are activities for my teen and plenty of group activities for us adults! The weight area is always clean Never feel out of place super nice people there all the time. My favorite part: eucalyptus steam room. Ahhhhh.....perfect way to wind down. And don't forget to visit the indoor hot tub with the waterfall. Price isn't bad either especially when u consider all the amenities that are INCLUDED. U can also take advantage of awesome retail discounts all over the place just for being a member. Even though this gym is more expensive I do like it and my kids enjoy it I do wish they had fitness program for the kids for free rather than paying another additional price. My youngest has a bit of difficulty but I think it's because he's used to a preschool setting where they sing and dance well here it feels more like a babysitting position. I have my oldest so he tends to give his brother the attention and it works out. I love the classes especially Wednesday night Zumba step and is my favorite and I just enrolled for the 60 day challenge and I'm excited to see how that goes. read more

WATCH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!!!! I just noticed I was charged $69 fee for a membership that was canceled in October (last payment was in Nov). I just called and talked to Olga, I explained that I was changed $69 today and my membership was canceled. I have not been charged since Nov (last payment). She asked if I canceled or put it on hold. I told her I canceled completely, like forever! She asked if I came in to the gym to do it (yes I was told that was the only way) and she asked if I was given a cancellation form. I DID but don't now 6 months later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She put me back on hold and came back and said that she sent an email to her managers Nancy and Patrick and that I would get refunded 3-5 days. This is sum shady sh*t. I wonder how many other people they do this to. I guess I need to cancel my freaking bank account so this company doesn't charge my card whenever they feel like it. I've had a membership here at lifetime for quite a while now, and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt this is the best gym in the west valley! The good- Maintenance is on top of everything! Anytime something even looks worn they're on it. The cafe tastes BOMB! And it's healthy. I rarely wait on a machine or freewheights even when the parking lot is full. I'm not sure if it's because people pay more therefore appreciate it more or what, but the people are nicer, my wife rarely gets the creeper stares that we got at eos/golds. The bad- I feel as though it could be placed easily at 40 bucks a month instead of the 55 I pay. They've told me they have 10,000 members paying monthly that's where my lower price logic comes in. But I suppose it's a supply and demand thing. Sales isn't so much pushy as they seem fake. At least those I dealt with. But as far as sales people go they Defenitly weren't bad. Absolutely recommend this gym. The group fitness instructors are AMAZING and the only reason I found a routine that I can stick with. Try the group classes/cycle...you will be hooked. Very clean facilities. My children love the child center. Lots of fin activities and classes for the kids. Can be busy in the summer but thins out once school starts. These people are ONLY in it for the money. You're not a name, not even a number. You're a bank account. Their membership policy is enroll as many suckers as possible whether or not the facility can carry the load, then just keep billing and billing and billing. Its always crowded (even at 4 am!) and the equipment is usually still warm and sweaty from the last person, assuming you can even get the last person unparked from the resistance machines. Its a hangout for showoffs, and classes are packed like sardines. If you have any kind of issue, like a serious injury, the only thing they will care about is ensuring that their revenue stream will not be interrupted. They do not respond to communications, but are happy to send daily automated threats despite any arrangement you may have previously made. In other words, you do NOT matter! Go for the $10 membership at a rival gym instead. Really. read more

We have been members of this gym for a while now, and it's absolutely amazing in here! We upgraded from LA Fitness, and let me tell yuh.... you get what you pay for! It's worth the money! Their locker rooms are always clean and stocked with towels. The lockers are spacious. The sauna and steam room are always clean and fantastic after or before a work out. The showers are always clean and spotless! The clientele is also different. Everyone is there for a reason: to be healthy and fit. Your surrounded by motivation and happiness. NO CREEPERS or people who look down on you. The employees learned our names and are always welcoming.! The pools, Jacuzzis, and co-ed sauna are top notch. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I've now been with Lifetime for a few months, and still no complaints. I think the evening employees could be a bit friendly. I definitely prefer the day time front desk staff but aside from that it's great. I had one rude locker room attendant but it seemed like she was just having a rough night in general. I won't argue that this gym is pricey, but I've been to the lower price point gyms and the cost difference is evident in the atmosphere and the machines available. My son is taking one of the kids classes now and loves it. I would have no problem recommending this gym to anyone. read more

If I could do negative stars I would. I loved being at this gym because of the yoga studio alone. I went to drop off my son who was 1 one day and there was no teachers in the toddler center of the child care room with over 15 kids present. I reported it to the manager Emma and was assured this wouldn't happen again and I could trust them with my kids. Ever since that day I got called to pick my son up every other time I was there. It was either because he was hurt or being mean to other kids. He came home with his face all scratched up and my husband asked it there was cameras in the room. He was assured there was and he could view the footage any time. When I was called to get him again today I asked to view footage to understand exactly what was going on with him. I was told me Emma that the general manager Jennifer could get me the footage. When I spoke with Jennifer I was told I would have to have a lawyer or police involved to view any footage. I called corporate to try to get some answers as was told that there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to view the footage and Olivia would contact her manager and have the footage released to me. This evening I received the email below. Not even a call. I ran a child care center for a very long time and never could imaging telling a parent they have to have a lawyer to view footage of their own child. I will be contacting the police to file a report as well. Please keep your children safe and do not bring them to this child care center. read more

I was a member of a LifeTime Fitness in Reston, VA before moving to The Valley. I was spoiled in VA with it being an onyx club, however, this one in Palm Valley isn't all much different, in my opinion! The staff is very friendly, my kids love the child center and all the amenities, events and classes that come with it. I'm a runner and can always find available treadmills to train on. There are plenty of weights and machines as well. I also enjoy attending the yoga classes regularly. There really is something for everyone: CrossFit, cycling, indoor and outdoor pools, basketball, rock climbing, salon and spa, cafe, and more. Not sure whether this is my first or second home...we're always here. I love this place! read more

Overall I'm happy with our choice to join. Staff is friendly, my daughter loves the swim lessons and the child play area. The facility is extremely clean! We frequent the outdoor pool as a family and enjoy it! The one disappoint I've had is with the spa. I paid over $100 and got a sub par gel mani pedi. Within a few days the gel on my nails started to chip due to the ends of my nails not being covered. When I go to a regular nail salon I pay less and get more in my appointment. I will say the private pedicure room is a nice touch at lifetime but still not worth what I paid! read more
