    Very very bad experience!!! I just go to buy a hat for a birthday present came to the store on great mall in Milpitas California the girl (was the manager) saw what I want and told me no problem come back in 30 min I told her 3 times if it's can be reddy for today it's great if not it's not relevant for me again she said no problem so I pay to her (5:38 pm) I can back at 6:00 pm the store is close. I tried to call every number I could find but nobody answered the only number I got someone was customers service but they said they cannot help me because they only for online purchases so I asked for regular customers service number she said they not have one and she understands me a lot of customers calling and can't reach help anywhere. Now I need to go to a different branch to make the same hat for him because I need it for an hour from now the problem now I don't know if the other branch closing when they want and not according to the mall or Google or Yelp so I tried to call but guess what they didn't answer for 25 min so I just going to pass on it I not going to drive 15-20 min for another closed store so I just pass on it and tomorrow I will go there and I already guess what they going to tell me: because it's a costume hat we can not sell it like that. Then i will continue with my lawyer. Btw, she took my phone number in case... but no phone calls no text. I bought a hat at LIDS in the past but this was the last time for sure. Store closings at 8:00 pm The security guard of the mall said: it's happening all time, this store closing whenever they want.. Update: I came to take the hat the day after the hat looks horrible! I asked bulging letters they did it flat, not even 1 line is straight.. I told them I don't take this hat so they did another one after more 30 min I came to take it again, now they did it the wrong color I didn't took it either I asked again to make it for me so now waiting again for 30 min.

    Came out to Milpitas specifically to come to this Lids since they have more variety than Southland Mall. It's the only store in the mall closed at 4pm. I stopped for lunch on the way here and if I'd known they'd closed, I would have waited to eat smh. This can't be real, someone get hired here so I can buy hats. I was trying to get a couple for me before I go on vacation this weekend and I promised a friend a cap too

    I buy all my all my A's fitted hats here!!! It seems busy all the time but customers get taking care of pretty fast custom lettering done in store within 10 to 15 minutes baseball season has started so go buy your favorite bay area team hat and show some live for your team and if your giants fan good luck this year bandwagoners!!!!! OAKLAND!!!!!!!!

What should have been a routine return of a few online-purchased items quickly escalated into a humiliating, disrespectful, and frankly alarming incident that has left a lasting negative impression of the Columbia brand. Upon arriving at the store to process the return, the cashier was immediately rude and dismissive. Rather than assisting us courteously, he treated me with suspicion and hostility, as though I were attempting something fraudulent. Without offering any explanation, he called over additional staff to inspect the return -- making me feel publicly scrutinized and accused, without cause. The situation worsened dramatically when the store manager, who identified himself as Donovan, got involved. His behavior was shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful. When we asked for clarification about why we were being treated so poorly, he claimed--incorrectly--that we were attempting to return more than 10 items, which was simply not true. He then demanded to inspect my phone to verify the credit card used for the online purchase. While I cooperated in good faith to resolve the situation, he proceeded to browse through private sections of my phone, including my account information and unrelated order history, without my permission. When I objected to this blatant invasion of privacy, his response was dismissive and increasingly hostile. When I rightfully asked for an apology for the incorrect accusation and invasive behavior, he escalated the situation further by threatening to call mall security to remove us from the store, effectively weaponizing his position rather than resolving the matter professionally. He also declared that he could refuse service at will, regardless of company policy or customer rights. He then flatly denied the return without legitimate grounds. This incident was not only humiliating and disrespectful -- it was a violation of basic customer rights and personal privacy. We have never been treated in such an aggressive and unethical manner by any retail staff in our lives. The conduct displayed by both the cashier and the manager was hostile, unprofessional, and deeply damaging to the Columbia brand. We have filed a formal complaint with Columbia's corporate office (Case #000552987), but I feel it is important to stress the severity of this matter. If this is how customers are treated for simply making a return, I can no longer in good conscience support or recommend Columbia products.

First, I came to the store because I want to do return. At the same time, I found other item that I wanted to purchase. Then, I asked the staff to do return and purchase separately. It seemed like she asked the manager some questions regarding the return. Next, she did the return and purchase in one receipt. Done, I left the store. A week later, I changed my mind and wanted to return 1 item (on that same return and purchase receipt) and noticed only store manager can authorized the refund. He came to the counter and got explained from his staff about I was using store credit to purchase. He started giving me hard time. He did not deliever a professional customer service skill nicely nor problem solver to customer. He was yelling at me and asked "Do You Know What Are You Talking About" in front of lot of other customers. I tried to explain the confusion of returning and purchasing on same receipt using store credit. He ignored what I was trying to explain. He kept underlying item on the receipt and asking me lot of questions. He gave me the feeling that he looked down on me cause I am Asian while he is white. I felt that I got discriminated by him. To store manager, I come to purchase, and I am not begging for anything. Please, act as an adult and be professional to suite your title. To Columbia: great products, but bad managing staff crew.

I remember going to the gym when I had pneumonia (pre-COVID and it's not ok regardless). I went through depression and I suddenly found myself wrapped up w/ work, my desire to foster, my religious obligations, my kids (mainly Gavin), and everything else in between. The running started sometime last fall. I never knew how important it is to get a good pair of running shoes until I started to run. Like run w/ a plan and purpose, not just to complete a cardio session. Running is much more than burning calories. I bought my first pair of Hoka's (Bondi 7) and I bought my first pair of Asics (Super Blast) to get me started. I really like my Super Blast that I wanted to invest in another pair from Asics. I wanted a black/white one and one in a lighter color. I made a purchase online and selected pickup at this location because I thought that they have stock available right away. Little did I know that wasn't the case. They were shipped to the store. If i had known that, I would have opted to have it shipped to my home instead. The price i paid is the same as the website. It's $165 for a pair. Not only that, the email notification stated it would be available for pickup Saturday 1/25 but it wasn't available until Tuesday 1/28. I called the store and confirmed my order was ready and asked which entrance I need to go to since I was not planning on walking around the mall. The girl that answered was patient and informative. She does not know which entrance I need to go to but she asked me to be on hold until she gathered information. I parked at Entrance 4 and found the store w/o any issues. She asked if I wanted to see them and I did. She opened the box and I saw 2 pairs. I was perplexed because the Asics representative (855) 233-3120 told me that only 1 pair shipped. So another thing that was a little annoying to me but new year, new me... I don't want to sweat the small stuff. Even though my order was late and I was given incorrect information, staff at this store were patient, friendly, and informative. The store is bright and looked clean and organized. I'm sure I'll be back but not for their online pickup option. My suggestion is to just go to the store and see the selections for yourself.

    I bought these shoes for working out and they fit perfectly but after only a few months of usage…read morethe back heel of the shoe, the cushion part that cushions the back of your heel, the part that's at the top of the heel of the shoe, the cushion fell to the bottom of the back of the heel part of the shoe. This has never happened to other shoes of mine. The cushion part is now at the bottom of the shoe and it almost forces the heel of my foot up and out of the shoe now. I would never recommend these shoes to anyone. When I reported the issue to the company they denied my claim saying the shoe is not defective. I sent photos but it is difficult to see the issue in the picture because it is the cushioning that is inside the heel and it is behind cloth. If you put you finger on the inside heel you would notice the problem immediately. If you buy this product you will not only have have a bad product and waste your money but you will also not have a reliable warranty with the company. I would recommend going to another company. This one is not reliable.

If you are looking for new shoes, do yourself a favor and find Steve in the footwear department. His knowledge is genuinely unmatched. He didn't just point me to the newest or most expensive model; he took the time to understand the mechanics of my feet and explain the nuances of every shoe we discussed. He even had me running down the aisles in various pairs to ensure the fit and feel were perfect. It was easily the best customer service I've ever had, better than some shoe speciality shop! To top it off, I found out about their "Love Your Purchase" return policy. It's a total game-changer--knowing I can actually test these out and bring them back if they don't work for my feet gives me so much peace of mind. Between Steve's expertise and the store's return policy, I won't be going anywhere else for my gear.
