I remember coming here to buy a new hat to rock and wanted to check out a different hat store than lids or places like champs. Well, I had a great experience here and I would love to come back whenever I get the chance. I believe the lady who helped me was Sam but she had glasses and man she was so friendly and so easy to talk to. I kinda got distracted in finding a hat because we were talking about the different teams I like and hat shapes available. I decided to go with a 47 twins LA dodgers black SnapBack and I couldn't have done it without her help. She also stated that it have a old school feel and it looked the best when you bend the brim. She even bent it for me and left a rubber band to hold its place while it sits in the bag. Since I was visiting I wanted to get a souvenir gift card also so she let me fill the card with money, use it to pay for the hat. HatClub is my favorite! But there's only one HatClub that is a 5 and that's the one in Santa Monica! Love the new little spot and love the addition of the wooden shelves! New location, renovated and new layout! Santa Monica and this place are the only hatclubs that I know has this layout from the ones I've visited. Customer service is always up to par but there was a worker there that didn't really know the products that well. Never heard of the clinkroom or any of their designs. No bueno! Clean, a little small, and right across the food court! A definite must go to if you're a hat buyer or collector if you're in the area in the Silicon Valley! Great experience here. I was in the Bay Area and me being a hat guy, decided to check out the selection here! I really was just looking around. I'm a White Sox and Cubs fan, but figured I'd rep a hometown team like the A's or Giants. Little did I know, Hat Club had a "local" collection where an artist was inspired by minor league logos and put a Bay Area twist! This was something different than the usual offerings at Lids or a New Era store... so I had to get a Garlic Fry with the Giants colors. It's definitely a conversation piece when I'm out and about. Easily a 5* rating for me. Each and every time I step in here I easily find 2-3 hats that I want and if I don't, I never leave feeling pissed off like I do when I step into the shitty Hat Club at Sunvalley Mall Concord. Went there this past Saturday and was helped by a female employee there. She has glasses, didn't catch her name at all but she was cool folks. She made it easy to buy more than just 1 hat when I walked in. When I was fishing for my size, instead of me doing it myself she took the time to go through them for me. And its not as if the store was empty or she had down time, there were lots of customers in there. I normally wear a size 7 1/2, but as some know, New Era can be inconsistent when it comes to hats. Anyways, she grabbed every size 7 1/2 and the 7 5/8 for me to make sure they fit right. Some of the 7 1/2's did and didn't. Happy to say that I found one that was perfect. What I found most appreciative was the fact that she was apologetic about Hat Club staff in Concord, when I aired my grief about them. It wasn't her place to apologize for them even if she does or doesn't know them. I think its more of how she cares about what people think about the company and how it should be represented. So major kudos for that. Look I understand that in retail there is hardly anymore customer service. Employees don't get paid enough and have to deal with a lot of people's foul attitude. Some of us have been there before. But when you find employees like "glasses" you have to keep them happy. They put their best foot forward and care about the image of the company. Came in to check out this spot to compare prices and was surprised to see that they are a few dollars cheaper and with the same buy one get one sale as lids. Selection on local teams is impressive. You are greeted right away and helped with your selection. When at the register they will brush off your hat and provide a complimentary repellant spray. Service is excellent and the selection is great. My new spot for my ball cap needs. read more

Monday was told to come back later in the week when they sold the hat i placed to put on hold since i was coming from the Daly City store (an hour drive to get there and go back home) minus 1 star. called store 2 different days to ensure if they had it and they said they were sold out and not getting anymore. Hatclub had about the same regular stuff as lids and not what I was looking for. Lucky Me I'm glad I had walked around more because I found this kiosk right next to tillys which I believe just opened up recently! Its called THE HAT LEAGUE , boyyyyyy...I was super excited because what I had saw really caught my eye.
