I was asked $600 to run a snake in the toilet but no guarantee that it would be fixed, and if not, Cody had no idea how to fix it and even less how much could be cost. Since it seemed unreasonable, I said I was going to check other opinions and asked for the cost to fix the faucet with low pressure water flow, it was a 5 minutes fix. If I would do the toilet/snake, then he wouldn't charge for the water flow, so he would have to charge me for their visit fee of $160. Called the young lady to complain that she never told me about any visit fee, she just apologize and said the fee is actually $140... Wasn't only ripped off by this company, I was also robbed by their employee!

I had a very disappointing experience with J&W Heating and Air…read more I originally called J&W because I was having moisture and condensation issues in my attic and wanted them to determine what was causing the problem. Their own invoice states that the supply plenum was falling apart and causing condensation to drip onto the ceiling. They recommended replacing/rebuilding the supply plenum, and I paid them $1,047 to do that work. My concern is not that there was moisture in the attic. That was the reason I called them in the first place. My concern is that the repair was not done properly. Over time, the moisture continued to cause damage, and the return became so compromised that it was close to falling through the ceiling. At that point, I called Amelia's Best, the company that installed my new HVAC unit. Amelia's Best repaired the immediate damage because the return was in such poor condition that it needed to be addressed right away. J&W then came back out because they were supposed to correct the underlying problem that had caused the damage in the first place. After J&W completed that work, I had Amelia's Best inspect it. Amelia's Best found that the underlying issue still had not been properly corrected and sent me a video showing the condition of the work. I then showed that video to J&W so they could see exactly what Amelia's Best had found. I ultimately added foam insulation to the attic, so moisture is no longer the same issue. However, that does not change the fact that the repair J&W was paid to perform had not been properly completed. Had I not added the foam, the same problem most likely would have happened again. What is especially frustrating is that J&W's invoice states that the $1,047 plenum work carried a one-year labor warranty on company-supplied materials and service. I raised my concerns and asked J&W to refund what I paid for the plenum repair so I could have the work redone correctly, and I also asked them to reimburse me for the damage caused when the repair failed. I provided J&W with photographs, videos, invoices, and documentation supporting my concerns, including the video from Amelia's Best showing that the work was still not properly corrected. Despite that, I do not feel J&W stood behind the work or properly honored the warranty. Subsequently, I also tried to submit a review directly through J&W's website, but the website would not allow me to post it when they saw it was not a positive review. I cannot say why it would not go through, but I wanted to share my experience where consumers would be able to see it. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend J&W Heating and Air to someone looking for a company that stands behind its workmanship and resolves problems when a repair fails.

It is surprisingly difficult to narrow down the huge number of choices for A/C installers. What I…read morewas looking for was a combination of great reviews (Number and quality) a positive feeling from the employees that I interacted with, brands offered, and price. That is a daunting task, but given that the #1 cause of equipment failure seems to be the install, this process is hugely important. Once I narrowed it down to 4 providers, I got the one that I thought I wanted to do business with out for a service visit on the old unit. This would be a small sample of how they act as a company. What I found was shocking in today's world! My service visit was scheduled with Ryan. He is a rock star! He showed on time, was presentable, able to communicate, knowledgeable, professional, clean....I could keep going. Ryan is a huge asset for Air McCall. I can't understate how uncommon this level of professionalism is in this day and age. great job Ryan! Now we move on to the Sales part. I had a lot of questions, many genuine, and some designed to see the response. Rob took the time to help me navigate the equipment choices, and find the best value. He went over and above working with me to make sure i was comfortable with the decision. Great Job! So now the installation...Great care was taken to install the equipment properly. The condenser had a dent, so they got a new unit out. Do it right! The builder A/C unit was a disaster. Air McCall spent considerable time and effort to correct the original installation issues. The finished product is night and day from the original. This was a very professional installation. What about price? The price that I paid was not the primary issue. I got the best value. There was an option with a different provider that was almost $2000 less, but Rob helped me understand the true differences between the options in a way that was more informative than self- serving. In the end, I got a fair price on a great Carrier unit. Conclusion: I have already recommended Air McCall to the neighbors. I look forward to a great relationship with Air McCall. This is a company that takes great pains to be a good business partner. Great job guys!

Beware! Powell Heating & Air is not concerned about their customers and only care about how much…read moremoney they can get from you. I paid almost $7000 in full to them to install a new ac unit in 2025 (a year ago) and I am already having issues with the system. And thats not the alarmingly part. Since my first phone call to them to ask if it's covered under warranty...they have treated me horribly. They charged me $109 to come out to be able to tell me if it's covered under warranty. Then the technician said I'd have to wait to hear from the office. Then when I called the office, she said she had to wait to hear back from the technician. Then I was told that only the technician has the pricin, not the office. Still no word on if the parts are covered under warranty. Then I'm told that the labor will be $226 and I have to pay 1/2 of that upfront before they can order the parts...that now are finally confirmed are under warranty. All of these phones were over a course of over a week. Then I'm told that I can pay $159 for their annual maintenance plan and that would give a discount on the labor for this job. And that if I do, I will be a "preferred customer" so that I am put at the top of list for them to come out a service my ac needs...otherwise I will have to wait longer then other customers, since their "preferred customers" come first. The fact that I just paid them almost $7000 a year ago has nothing to do with it. They clearly do not stand by their paying customers unless of course, you are willing to pay even more to get it. The whole incident has made me realize 2 things. One- Powell Heating & Air is no longer the reputable company they once were. And Two- I should have used Donovan Air instead because they are professional, honest and kind.
