BE WARNED. Fenwick may have been good at one point but they were acquired by a private equity company and well, PE companies are all about transactions. They suck the soul out of small businesses. And the worst part is, they took advantage of SENIOR CITIZENS who lack the comprehension to understand what was going on. Here's what happened. We hired Fenwick Plumbing for an active water leak. They couldn't find it and referred us to a leak detector they work with. He did find the leak--under our driveway with absolute surety. Fenwick came back, excavated the driveway, told us there was no leak, and still billed us $800. Add the $400 we paid the leak detector and we were out $1,200 with absolutely nothing resolved. Instead of taking responsibility or coordinating with the professional they referred, Fenwick put me, the customer, in the middle of a back-and-forth "he said / she said" between them and the leak detector THEY referred. That is not how a professional company handles its own referrals--or its customers. Then came the silence. I called repeatedly to talk to someone about it. No one returned my calls for weeks. One person called once, weeks later. When I called back, voicemail. Never heard from them again. No explanation. Zero accountability. The leak detector stood by his findings and blamed Fenwick for missing it. He also told me he stopped working with them after they were acquired by a private equity firm because the company became purely transactional. That word perfectly describes this experience: take the money, move on, disappear. We chose Fenwick because of their strong Google reviews. What we later learned--both from tradespeople and former partners--is that many of those positive reviews are from before the PE acquisition, and that the quality of service has since declined. I have screenshots from multiple people saying Fenwick is terrible to work with. I wish I had seen those first. For contrast, another plumbing company later told us they would never bill a customer for a job they couldn't diagnose or fix. That's the difference between professionals and a company focused only on the transaction. If Fenwick was once good, those days appear to be over. Hire accordingly. They will probably respond to this review by saying that a manager will reach out, and then most likely not follow through on that. They will do it purely for optics. Their managers had plenty of chances to respond. Too late. So do yourself a favor and sort by the negative reviews and just notice the recurring themes and trends. read more

I called Fenwick ref an ac issue. Prior to calling I was able to diagnose the error codes and work my way through the system to include drainage lines and checking the interior of the ac unit. While speaking to the service person on the phone I advised her what I diagnosed thus far. She advised a tech would be out shortly. The good point was the tech was prompt. When Technician Tavelle arrived I followed up with the same information I gave the service person. I watched Tavelle scroll through the thermostat functions. When he finished I asked what functions on the thermostat did he reset, as if the error occurred again I could fix it myself. At this point he stated, "I can't tell you that. You need to pay me for that information." Tavelle, then asked if I wanted him to continue diagnosing the problem. Along with charging us an additional $100. It should be noted, once the errors were reset on the thermostat the problem was resolved. Tavelle did nothing else. At this point I just asked him to leave our residence. I would strongly caution anyone against using this company. They charged me $89 just to come out and provide an estimate, which I paid. The "estimate" they gave me to replace a simple toilet handle (and possibly a flapper) was nearly $800. That is completely unreasonable for such a basic, inexpensive repair. It seems this company counts on collecting the service fee, knowing most people won't agree to pay their outrageous prices. It felt like a bait-and-switch--get you to pay the upfront fee and then present a sky-high quote for a simple job. Steven B was super patient and professional. He arrived same day and expertly explained the installation process to us. I couldn't be happier with his service and demeanor. I would like to mention though. Fenwick does charge a fee for a quote. That came to me as a surprise at the conclusion of our visit. It was more than off-putting as it wasn't disclosed prior to his arrival. Not online, not on the scheduling form, not in my confirmation email, nor the follow up text. There was even a terms and agreements box that could have disclosed that requirement. So many missed opportunities to make me aware. My husband said it's standard practice. That's all well and good but please tell me before I agree to service. I don't like costly surprises; it feels shady. The pipe from my kitchen sink was plugged. I took it apart and ran a snake down about 25' but it still did not clear. It was obviously beyond my capabilities so my granddaughter recommended Fenwick. I called, they got me in later that afternoon with Daniel Williams He was very knowledgable and got to work clearing the pipe. Daniel got the water flowing again and the charge was very reasonable. My parent's water heater was acting up and the wires inside got burnt. Luckily my parents were home when this happened so they turned the circuit breaker off to prevent further damage. I requested a cast iron sewage pipe repair. The total cost was approximately $15,000.The job involved cutting through the concrete slab which is the foundation of my home. I was assured by the repairmen that they knew what they were doing regarding the repipe and the slab repair. Two months later the slab or pipe is leaking. They came out and stated in their opinion that it was their repair of the concrete and " that they did it to the best of their ability. " I think that that somehow nthat means thatb they can leave me with a leaking concrete floor which destroyed a hardwood flooring throughout the bottom of my home. I requested that the general manager call me and I have yet to speak with anyone (with adequate authority) to address the issue. I also see mold around the repair which they have observed as well. So my damages are increasing every moment. Unless address in the very near future I am going to have to get the appropriate experts and seek judicial assistance. They advertise that they repair this type of work. I would also comment that the city inspector failed their work three times before approving the pipen work. So they came out I had a clogged toilet charge me $200 couldn't fix it gave me estimate for 1800 but can't guarantee that's gonna fix the problem. They sold us over o e thousand dollars of maintenance services for our central air conditioner. UV light, drain cleaning system (iFlow) and we had nothing but problems for the next three months. Then the fan started thumping. The tech ripened up the ac, reached in spun the fan and said we had a bad fan motor. The ac was installed new in late 2020 and was still under warranty. He asked if we would rather just get a whole new ac unit. Really? On a not quite five year old Carrier AC. The part was ordered and he quoted over $800 for labor. Someone else came out two days later to install it. Then said we needed a new belly band so he couldn't install the motor. He left us with no AC, on a Friday evening in August. I managed to get it running again. Two Calls where I was transferred twice then told they would investigate and call me back but never did. Over two weeks later I called a reputable company who had to hook it to diagnostic equipment to see it was the relay that was bad, not the fan motor,nor was the belly band an issue. Less than an hour and we were purring away for less than half the price. Fenwick is still in possession of the fan motor as well. Another great service visit from Fenwick Plumbing. We had a stoppage of our main line. Dale Willis (a grandson of Ron Willis - whose tree service took care of us for years!) efficiently went about getting on the roof, running his tool through the bathroom vent, finding and unclogging the mess. He even found our main line cleanout, buried beneath some mulch under a shrub, so that, if needed, the cleanout could be used a next time. Dale even cleaned out our shower into which our toilet had backed up. Great service, easy to schedule - we'll use them again if needed. read more

The work crews have all been very polite and considerate and genuinely want to get your services done right, rapidly, and to your satisfaction. Follow-up on an earlier review. I spoke to Jesse, the supervisor over the phone next morning. He listened intently to my complaint. In 30 minutes he sent over another technician. The issue was seemingly not with my thermostat, but with drainage pipe which was blocked by gunk. He cleared the blockage and re-set the cooling unit. I was refunded the full amount that was charged to my credit card. Did not even have to pay for the new thermostat. Thank you very much Jesse. read more

Immediately afterward, they sent their drywall repairman, Emad Assad; there were holes cut in the drywall that needed replacing (they had to cut for pipes). I needed a new tankless water heater. Called and was quoted $89 refundable fee if services were performed. Tech came out and informed me that I had to pay $89 + another $30 fee that would be refunded also. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Presented a $400 off coupon they had listed on there website. Technician completely shut me down and stated that he was already giving me a discount. I didn't ask for a discount and I was already paying double for the work and heater itself. Offered to purchase the heater else where but technician told me they would still charge the same price of $1800. Not sure how I was given a "discount" if it was still going to be the same price. Chose to go with the payment plan they offer but the technician did not know how to operate his tablet to correctly submit the application. He also then stated he would credit me $200 for the coupon and $119. Later I got a text that I was charged $1801.19. Travis called and spoke with me and basically belittled my intelligence. Stated that the coupons are for advertising and that they do not have to use them since they already give customers "discounts". Why would you offer a coupon and not let customers use it? I didn't ask for a discount nor was I told I was getting one until I asked to use the coupon. He corrected the application and refunded the $200 + $119. They communicated when the tech was enroute, which is very welcome when you're balancing 5 other things at home. Mike Rogers came out, quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. The price was right, the service fast and I will definitely be coming to them first for any HVAC or plumbing needs! As an aside, if I was grading them on their evening calltaker, which I'm going to assume is a third party, but perhaps not... 2 stars. The guy was very passive aggressive and unpleasant. One of several examples was after reciting his lengthy covid question I responded, "no covid". He snarkily informed me that, "its a yes or no question." I am so impressed with the plumber that Fenwick sent and his company! Last night our water heater started leaking. I called two companies and Fenwick were already here by the time the other even returned our call. The guy who came did great and was super helpful but we needed to have the heater replaced so that had to be done the next morning. The plumber assigned to us for the next day was Tim Allala and he was fantastic!! He was supposed to come 10-2pm, he made it here at 8.30am. Did an absolutely thorough job including cleaning all the rust that had leaked in our garage. Explained a ton of things which I would have never known about water heaters. And, to top it off, turned up the temperature on our heater to 135F (at my request, it was apparently 120F and we had no idea) so now I really get to enjoy scorching hot showers! And he showed me how to change that temperature setting if I ever decided I don't want to shower on the border with Hell. The company sent us a link with a GPS of his truck so we could follow how close he was on his way there. They texted us his photo and a full professional biography so we can recognize him. Tech accidentally broke panel door for filter, call for repair, scheduled, asked if could reschedule since they were too busy to service the folks that just spent, $20k, finally get a Tech out wants to put a screw in the panel door to hold, when refused he put tape on to create metal memory? Something as standard a customer supplied faucet installation should have the price disclosed at a flat rate. Coming here and quoting me close to $800 to install a kitchen faucet is absurd and then charging me a $120 fee for the call is just bad business and not ethical. Fenwick does my AC and Heater work and that is all I am limiting them to moving forward . The plumber who visited was extremely nice and polite, I wish I could justify having him install the faucet but at that rate I could take the $120 hit and hire another plumber and still save significantly. First off, the technician was awesome, did a great job, very personable and professional! That portion of the company is 5 stars... $417 for a $20 capacitor is beyond ridiculous!! Invoice is not itemized, does not list the breakdown of fees. I guess, as customers, we're supposed to deal with the heat for a few days or accept being being gouged in Florida. I have reached out to some of their competitors this morning and all quoted me HALF what Fenwick charged me!! Great experience ! I would recommend Fenwick Plumbing. I needed a leak fixed which I had to shut off water inside my home. I called on a Monday and initially I was told their next opening was on Thursday. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Later on that day I received a call they had an opening on Tuesday! The technician arrived on time and wearing a mask . He explained what needed to be done and showed me what was completed. I gave a one star because I couldn't give zero stars. We had a plumbing issue with our toilet and I made the mistake of going by an advertisement to choose the plumbing company. The company explained that there was a fee for an estimate but that it would be taken off of the cost of the job if we went with them. An extra $20.00 fuel surcharge added to the estimate would not apply to the future job cost though. The plumber arrived early and that is the last thing he did right. He looked at the toilet agreed there was a problem but that the leak could be in our crawl space under the toilet although he didn't check out the crawl space. He then explained that he was in a loaner truck (because his had mechanical problems) and did not have his tools with him. He then gave me a verbal estimate of over $600.00. At this point I had decided NOT to go with this plumber or company. I was still out the cost of the estimate and fuel surcharge but I consider it a lesson learned. I then called Eagerton and agreed to pay them a per hour fee. Two guys got it done in two hours for half the "estimate" of Fenwick. I called Fenwick services out for a plumbing issue at my church. I was informed that a 89.00 fee is required for a commercial property quote. I am required to get three quotes before performing any repairs. I had one quote for 483.00 and another coming. I had to get the third although the two others did not charge the"fee" for the quote. I 100% agreed with the 89.00 fee. We made the appointment time. All seemed fine. Note we are a small church so I need to have the Pastor or a member meet with technician. They called me the day of the appointment to change the time. I have to change volunteers around to meet them. They come out call me on the phone give me a quote twice as much as the other one I have. Ok so I pay over the phone and ask for the written quote to be emailed. I check the account and Fenwick charges me 119.00!!!!!!!!!!!! I call this morning and they say the time they spent on the property as and extra charge.
