Extremely Dangerous Driver - Truck #71 I had a terrifying experience with this company today. Their driver in truck #71 tried to run me off the road more than once while I was passing on the left -- and I had my child in the car with me. The driver's behavior was reckless and completely unacceptable. I called the company to report the incident, and all I was told was, "I'll call the driver and handle it." That response gave me zero confidence that they take safety seriously. When your drivers are endangering families on the road, a simple "we'll call them" is not enough. I will never trust this company, and I hope they take real action before someone gets seriously hurt. read more

I mom had a leak in the shower valve that they couldn't find so it was a lot of money a whole lot. If they had a handheld camera that you can buy from Home Depot it would not take long to find it. They don't have the right tools to do the job. It's sad. I've always thought good about Egerton Plumbing. I've been in Jacksonville since 1960. I guess I'm gonna have to go elsewhere. read more

Very professional and efficient company. We had them out to set up the plumbing for a bathroom remodel and these two guys (Keith & LK?) worked very quickly. They made sure not to waste our time or money, but did a great job moving a drain and several pipes for the shower. We were quoted $2800 by another company and ended up paying only a fraction of that. We called Eagerton last minute and they could make it out the same day before the flooring guys showed up. Will not used them ever again. There was a surcharge for using a credit card that was never mentioned until it was time to pay. The plumber never returned with the invoice and we had to get a copy from the billing department. After looking at the invoice, there were hidden charges (no wonder he was delayed in returning the invoice which we never signed). We have additional plumbing work that we wanted done but thought we'd give this company a try because they were cheaper than our previous quotes but we will never use them again. Eagerton's Septic Tank Pumping pumped out my septic tank 9/9/24. my toilets still would not flush. ask for a copy of the work and a receipt for the work. There is a note "Baffle is broken and fell down inside tank". I have called 4 times asking just for an explanation and have a plumber come take a look. My toilets were slow but they would flush until they came. I had to get a plumber come take a look to tell me it's backed so now I have to pay for another pump out , inspection and repair. BEWARE. these people will not call me back or give me the time of day. This is so, so wrong. And you should know. bypass there number and move on. read more

Our septic tank was FULL!! It was a crappy situation to say the least! I called at 7am, it was taken care of by 11:00am! Friendly, Fast, Funny!!! (The 3 F's) I also got a lesson one septic tank upkeep! I would highly recommend! Sidenote: sprinkler line was damaged while looking for the tank! They repaired it in less than 15 minutes! JEA recently repaired sewer lines in my street and contracted Eagerton to research and review the connection from my home to the street. The sewer line previously had been inspected by JEA and video was also taken. Was confirmed at that time my sewer line was clean and no problems detected. W e l l Eagerton was sent out to redo the inspection. Why I never know. They also inspected the sewer line with their own heavy duty equipment which damaged my sewer line in the process.. After I discovered the damage I called JEA and was referred to Eagerton. Tommy the vice president was very rude. Mr Danny Eagerton initiated the repairs but TommyI will not give any documentation or warranty. He does not return my calls and office staff is very rude. Do not hire this company. I called Eagerton Plumbing because I needed to find out why a bathroom sink was making a running water noise and their fee was a little less than a few others that I had called for estimates. They quoted me $130. plus materials. When the workman showed up, he turned my main water valve off and broke the switch. When I told him he broke it, he said half of it was already broken, so he wouldn't replace it. He said it's about $200 to replace it. Well, half of it was already broke, but you could still turn it off and on with the other half. Now I have to use a pair of pliers to turn it on and off. He told me I had a slab leak on the street side and the house side of the meter. He said he would have to give me an estimate on what it would cost to replumb the entire home, this would include busting up the driveway to get to the city side of the meter. Then he told me I owed $144.95 for him coming out. He said $10 was for gas and $4.95 was for materials. When I told him they should have told me up front I was paying for gas, and that he didn't use any materials - He said I could call the office, which I did. The girl argued with me and then transferred me to a man. I told him they didn't use any materials on my job and that I should have been told that they were going to charge me for gas. He was extremely rude and told me that I could pay whatever I wanted and find myself another plumber. (He didn't know I needed a complete replumbing job at the time.) I told him I would pay the amount I was quoted and find myself another plumber - and I did. The new plumber told me that the leak is coming from my side, but NOT the city side of the meter. Eagerton's guy told me it was leaking from both sides. They were very rude and unprofessional, but lost a big job over $14.95. read more

I called the plumber on the weekend, since it says they have 24/7 service. The tech who called me back said that he was the only one on duty and my clogged kitchen sink was not an emergency. He offered to call me on Monday morning to schedule service. I agreed and guess what....he never called nor anyone from the company. I guess they really didn't want my business so, I call one of their competitors and got excellent service. The only plus in this experience was the timeliness in which the tech called back after being notified by the call service. read more

Called today for to have a new faucet installed. It was kind 9f an emergency as my husband tried to remove it but lacked the proper tools. I called at 2:00 and a technician called me about 5 minutes later saying he would be here in 10 minutes. Within an hour, the new faucet was installed and the water was back on. The price was very reasonable. Another company wanted $400 to come out today. This company will be my go to for plumbing needs. read more

During the Christmas holidays, we had a big emergency with both toilets overflowing downstairs! This business is atrocious. No customer service skills. Lied to me and never showed up!!! My toilet was stopped up on Saturday morning. I called them in the morning. After waiting half a day with no phone call I called them back. They said they lost my service order. The plumber finally called me to tell me he couldn't make it that day and would come in the morning. After another morning I called to ask when he would come. They made me wait another day until I finally called another plumber. They never called back or showed up. read more

One time I called them out for a simple 1 hour job that only took 40 minutes. instead of just leaving they asked what else they could do for the next 20 minutes. Who does that??? Another time they walked me through something I could fix myself so I could save myself some money instead of having them come out on a Sunday. Do not use this company. You will be sorry. Called them on a Sunday and had to beg them to come. $388.00 and 5 days later I have same problem as before. Called again to schedule service two days in advance for a 1:00 and they were a no show. Plus for the Sunday call they charged me at a rate of $125/hr and then they had the audacity to charge me for two pair of latex gloves, two pair of sewer gloves and three antibacterial wipes which I never saw used. This was once a great company, woman owned, now that son has taken over it has gone down the toilet. read more

We called Eagerton Plumbing Co on 7/5/16. Their Assistant Service Manager, Brett Jones, came out on 7/6/16 to provide a quote for a re-plumb and a 3' trench for a remodeling job in our kitchen. He said he would e-mail the estimate it to us in a few days. Called Brett on 7/8/16, he gave us an amount, but no itemized estimate. He said the estimate will be sent later that day (7/8/16). Called 7/11/16 and spoke with Brett. He stated, "I'll have the estimate e-mailed to you by the end of the day." It is now 7/12/16 and still no estimate. Now we have to start all over to find another plumber. read more
