The service was just as exceptional as the food. When we sat down, we were treated to phenomenal cheddar biscuits and were served our food in short time. Our meals were mouth watering and were finished fast. Although we were stuffed from our meal and could not fit anymore food, we were offered to sample their new lemon cheesecake in bite size form. Absolutely delicious food, and love that it is a unique menu with not your every day items. The food was on point, perfectly cooked and flavored. Ashely was able to help me determine which oysters to order, as I had never ordered them for myself. They were so good! I didn't know i enjoyed oysters so much! Great Food and a good time with friends. Went here last night with good friends and it couldn't have been nicer. Started with the greeters who sat us quickly and gave us the choice of where we wanted to sit. Server was quick to introduce himself and get us a drink while we waited for the other couple. Menu was full of choice from casual to entrees and nightly specials. I got a steak and I was afraid it was over cooked. I like my steak med rare and the first bite was well done. The waiter appeared and asked how everything was prepared and I said it would be fine and he wasn't satisfied with that answer. So I showed him where I cut off the tip that was well cooked. So, I went to cut into the stead and I could feel it was perfect. The end where I started was thinner and the rest of the steak was perfect and fantastic. The manager visited shortly after and he heard about my steak so I tried to convince him it was fine. Long story short, this is a well run restaurant with excellent food and drinks. Service was top notch. My only complaint is we don't live closer and it was raining hard when we got there. read more

We arrived at the restaurant around 5:20pm with 2 kids and an infant. The hostess said, "we have a table for you but you need to be done by 6:30pm for another reservation. I asked if the restaurant is a "reservation only restaurant" and was told "no". In shock, we left quietly. Not able to comprehend the fact that we were told " you can be seated to eat but you need to be done in one hour or less for another reservation. The kids couldn't understand either. Called the restaurant to file a complaint with a manager but spoke with a backup manager who confirmed, they often notify their customers as such. Still trying to comprehend this happened. Not a great culture at all and we are very disappointed. read more

My friends and I have been fans of Lib's for quite some time now, although I don't get to frequent nearly as much as I'd like. It's difficult to find a restaurant/bar in this part of the county that doesn't follow the standard sports bar decor and menu, but Lib's does just that. The menu offers options for every palate, no matter how sophisticated, and I've never been disappointed in any of the good or drink menu items I've ordered, for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The bar area offers just the right step up of ambiance, but it's definitely not "stuffy." A few weeks ago, my family went in for a Sunday brunch. As always, the food and service was great. My dad however recently began taking a new medicine, and let's just say it's not been agreeing with him. Unfortunately due to the medicine, nothing to do with Lib's, he got sick right at the table, in the middle of the dining room, in plain view of everyone in the restaurant. He was obviously embarrassed and ran to the bathroom. The staff came right out to see if there was anything they could do and immediately begin cleaning (although we did our best to get most of it up). A few days later, Nick Liberatore called me personally to make sure my dad was ok. As I said in the beginning, always been a fan, but didn't expect the level of care and professionalism the management puts into Lib's. Recommend 100%! read more

My husband and to come here to celebrate my birthday in mid-March. We do not have the opportunity to go out just the two of us because we have 2 young children, so we were really looking forward to this. We came on a Saturday at 5:30 pm. The dining area was full, so we sat at a table in the bar area. Once we were seated, a manager came over and asked us if we would move to another table so they could accommodate a bigger party. We obliged, but were put at a table in the corner right by the side of the bar where the bartenders can enter and exit the bar area. It was really dirty in this area (dirt and old food on the floor by my chair). The music was playing so loud in the bar area that my husband and I could barely hear each other. I ordered the pan seared chicken dish and it was awful. The portion of the sauce in the dish was too much and soaked everything on the plate. I was so disappointed. I would not recommend this dish at all. My husband got the pork chop, which he said was delicious. We also ordered the crab dip as an appetizer and it was decent. I was honestly very disappointed with our time at Lib's Grill and will not return nor recommend it to others. read more

This place is dangerously close to my house! My wife and I quickly became addicted to their menu and service. I've genuinely loved everything I've eaten at Lib's. Some of my favs are the Crab Benedict and the lobster sandwich. My wife has been hooked on the chicken sandwich with the slice of apple and brie. The menu seems to be constantly evolving, which I assume to be a good sign of a chef that truly enjoys what they do. They also have a really good selection of raw oysters, when in season. I love Libs Grill. I come often and some of my favs are the Oyster Stew, Deviled Eggs, Fish Taco's, Raw Bar and tap beer selection. I've been wanting to come on a Sunday to try the Prime Rib for a long time and finally got that opportunity. I was extremely disappointed. I ordered it Med Rare (duh) and I'm not sure how it was pre-cooked/pre-prepped but it was extremely dry and barely warm. The au jus was needed just to make it edible. Very disappointed with a "signature dish". I'll be back but not for the Prime Rib for sure. read more

Husband and I were in MD for a quick trip and went to Libs Grill for brunch with the family today. We had an awesome time and our waiter Tess was amazing!! Thank you for being super nice Tess!! Love their bottomless drinks (mimosa and Orange Crushes) until 3:00pm for $15.00p/p. I ordered steak & eggs and my husband had eggs benedict plus a side of devil eggs. Everything was delicious. Very unassuming small place near The Avenue.. Ssshh its a secret don't want the mall people to come here. Didn't know all the fuss about why my bf keeps wanting me to try this place. Nice decor, atmosphere with a raw bar! Yummo. Saw one of the servers giving 1oz sample of beers to a guy next to our table since he was not sure what he wanted. Pretty nice I guess. Well we came here last Saturday night (St. pat's weekend) and the hostess was nice to give us a heads up when a table opened up by the bar area. He was like, hurry =) that was good since waiting time is 45 minutes to be seated But the food was good; we had the fried oysters to start with. Not overly battered or oily and taste fresh; i had the lobster roll poached in butter (my fave of course) it came with freshly cut frenchfries. Lobster was cooked perfectly and very fresh, i would loved to have a factor of crunch on my sandwich to give it some texture. Bf got the rack of lamb cooked perfectly as he ordered it, with mashed sweet potato and everything was prepared and seasoned nicely. The place seems to be too loud with chatter amongst the patrons, i guess since its a very small place but it didn't give me any headache since everyone is on their good behavior just enjoying a night out with their friends or loved ones. Bdw the restroom were clean which i really appreciate and offered some mints, hand lotion, female products and facial tissues. Will definitely come back here again! read more

Went here with a girfriend on a busy Friday night. Was expecting a long wait but the host arranged some tables and we sat right away. Food was awesome, lots of new versions on old classics. The first time we went here for dinner was just ok, I thought we'd never be back because for the price it was just mediocre, good for when you bring the kids out and get them chicken fingers but somehow this time we got swayed by the restaurant week menu which was $30 per person, so for the appetizers we got the oysters (6) and the beef empanadas (4) excellent!!! For entree we got the flank steak wagyu beef with mash potatoes and green bean, also the filet of steak which was $5 or $10 extra depending on the size of steak you pick, both were a perfect medium rare! I think for those cuts getting them cooked more than medium rare you'd just be wasting your money. So in conclusion, yes we will be back, we just moved here from a large city with a big restaurant scene and also enjoy cooking ourselves and can appreciate quality over quantity. So with that said,next time I go here I'm playing it safe and ordering these things, oh and the pretzel bread or whatever that is, is awful don't get it. read more

The food here is amazing. We came in on Sunday for the Brunch. Had the breakfast tacos and xl breakfast platter. My good wasn't as hot as I wanted and the staff quickly replaced the fish. To our surprise at the end of our brunch, our server brought us an Oreo mousse dessert on the house to make up for this small inconvenience. Came down to Maryland on Friday for a Saturday wedding and needed dinner. After some googling my girlfriend and I cam across Lib's and decided to give it a shot... Boy am I glad I did! Everything was delicious... We had ; Candied Bacon (omg), Crab Dip, Deep Fried Lobster Tail (SO MUCH YES), and the braised short ribs. Came in here back in July for lunch after playing some tennis w/the g/f, it was upon her request. We were sweaty, smelly, and out of place. I made an executive decision by leaving and try another day when we are better prepared. Fast forward to the saturday of 10/24, we went in there again around 1:30PM, much better prepared than our first attempt. We weren't exactly hungry, but the g/f really want to try the place after it was bought off from the previous business. Inside, it looks very upscale, nice decor. Customers seems much higher quality than other places in the Honeygo Center. We both ordered a beer, the g/f ordered garlic fries, which came out rather quick. It look nice, presentation was great, but it tasted rather blend for me, actually, no taste at all. It felt like cardboards. Then the g/f ordered a chicken sandwich, while I only had a bowel of oyster stew. G/f said the chicken sandwich was good, while my oyster stew tasted really good, nice flavors to it. The server keeps coming back checking on us, which was great, but she kept on pressing us to order more food, which it was very unwanted. The visit to Lib's was a decent venture. 2 hours after the visit, I felt sick to my stomach, and I mean literally too. First time visitor. Packed crowd on a Saturday. Came for the Oysters and they were excellent - wide variety. We chose the Broadwaters. The kale salad w/ Caesar dressing was also great as was the side order of Thai spiced edamame. Ordered the flank steak for dinner, waiter split the meal and it was great. This was the 4th time I've been and first time on a Sat. We got there about 6 and it was packed. We got a drink from the bar and stood off towards the front window. We ended up getting a table at the bar in maybe 30-40min. The oysters are always on point. We had some Chincoteague, sweet neck and another that started with an "s". Great starter. The deviled eggs with crab meat were really good as well. I had crab cake sandwich-really good & no filler. A close 2nd to Pappas. Friend had the lobster roll- she said it was good although a close 2nd to Thames St. Oyster house. The citrus mule & Asian mule are highly recommended. So good! We decided to share small plates rather than get an entrée. Highly recommend the carnitas tacos and brie plate.
