Came in for brunch on a weekend and were sat surprisingly quickly. It did fill up around 2pm, so I suggest getting there around noon or earlier. Service was lovely, very pleasant and fun to talk to. They still had their holiday drink list so we ordered primarily off of that. I can't remember the names but everything was pretty good. The mixed drinks might have been a bit watered down but sometimes that's a good thing. The food was mostly positive- most of it was pretty good if overpriced. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the chorizo scramble- I'll admit I have high expectations of a chorizo dish, but this lacked meat, seasoning, and the tortillas were thick and a little stiff. This place is fine. My wife really likes this place. It's a nice and comforting layout when you walk in. The seating in the area where they put us was really tight. Our table had four chairs, but there was no way of fourth person could've sat in the fourth seat. It was too tight. The table was way too wobbly, as well, and it took a bit of effort to get somebody to fix it. Our server appeared to be pretty new, but he was a nice person. The cheese tray is OK. They give you so little bread for all the cheese and mustard and jelly and honey and everything else you get. My tortilla salad was fine. The tomato soup tasted good, but it had a weird texture. It was almost grainy, which I'm not sure if it was pepper that wasn't crushed quite enough, but it wasn't black specs. Again, the taste was good. My wife and son seemed to enjoy their food a lot. Not bad at all! Came by for dinner with the family and enjoyed the food. The inside has a stepped-up sports bar vibe that is also family-friendly. Our waiter was super chill and very helpful. Patient when we were perusing the menu, and offered suggestions when requested. Food got to us fast and the drinks stayed full. There's a nice selection of cocktails, including a nice alcohol-free variety, which is a nice touch. Child #1 got a Lib Spritz so he could join his mother and me with our cocktails. Food - I ordered the roasted portobello platter - and it was plentiful and delicious. Smoky, sweet, and umami, with lots of spinach in it. My wife got two apps, the porchetta and the fish tacos. The bottom line is that the Liberatore family know what they're doing. Décor, ambience, bar, food, and staff are all top notch. If you go here and have a bad time with bad food my head would explode...it's just not possible. I have eaten many things off of their menu at Lib's Grill but there are two things that jump out as over the top good: the Brussels sprouts app and the pork chop. Their Brussels sprouts are not only cooked perfectly with crispy outside leaves and soft (but not mushy) insides, but the seasoning and sauce they arrive in makes me want to lick the plate. This is definitely a *must order* on the menu. Now...believe it or not...the pork chop is even better than that! There is something abnormal (in only the best of ways) with this pork chop. Normally when something this thick shows up you're going to anticipate it being a little chewy or tough which is generally the nature of the beast. Not this one. It is so tender and flavorful that it made me start to wonder how they're doing it. My guess? Brine. I would not be surprised if these were brined overnight to make the meat as tender as it is. It also helps that it come fresh from a local farm. I should also point out that I order my pork here "medium rare" and the kitchen isn't afraid to cook it just right (too many cooks are afraid to leave it a little pink in the middle). It comes on a bed of mashed potatoes and flawless green beans (cooked but crispy). I am telling you...order this thing...you'll see that I'm actually underselling it. One of my favorite happy hours in the area in a really nice shopping plaza that has plenty to do! You really can't beat these prices and I love how long their happy hour is, it's 3-7 whereas most other places end at 5 or 6. Much appreciated for the days I end up working later than usual and can still manage to catch this happy hour! $5 well drinks and plenty of happy hour bites. I love the oyster deals and can generally get full just sharing the food specials off the happy hour menu. Only catch is that you can only get happy hour at the bar tops which are always full but for good reason, since this place is such a great bang for your buck! Since the prices are so great, you get what you pay for so the quality is good but not AMAZING and that's okay. Came here on a weekday lunch and the place was empty inside however a few people were enjoying the outside seating. The waiter was very familiar with the food and had great suggestions. I ordered two of her suggestions and was very satisfied. As for the food it's self, I enjoyed the crab soup. It actually had lumps of crabs in it and not just some strands in tomato soup that you find at other restaurants. The brussels sprouts were very tasty and portioned well. It almost was the size of a small salad. I really enjoyed the flavoring and was glad I had some to take with me for later. Lastly I bought the ham and cheese l, which was plated wonderfully. Vic had session aesthetic that kept me in the vicinity while contemplating where to dine this evening. I was immediately taken away by the beautiful bar that was lit up adding to the aesthetic; for my appetizer started off with the Maryland crab soup, which was a bowl portion with large chunks of crab meat and a hint of spice, however It was ice cold. My husband and I decided to give Lib's Grill a second chance, after a bad experience a couple of years ago. It was worse this time around. Bad service, horrible food. We were seated immediately and had a bit of a wait for a server, but the restaurant was crowded so we didn't expect instant service. However, after placing our order, it took over 20 minutes for the food to arrive. A couple sitting next to us gave up and left. We waited, hoping at least the food would be good, and we were so hungry at that point. I ordered Cinnamon Toast Crunch pancakes and an egg. Mistake. The pancakes were completely hidden under a thick, brown mud that was gritty with sugar. Both the cupcakes and my egg were room temperature. Dined here with a group of 4 and I was disappointed for several reasons. Maybe my expectations were too high based on their Open Table profile, which made Libs look like a moderately priced restaurant with a menu that was versatile. What I encountered was a dark, noisy environment with a menu where I had to pick the best of mediocre looking dishes. The poke chips had lots of greasy chips and very little poke - which really wasn't poke- more like a few chopped up pieces of tuna and way too much sweet sauce. I had the salmon that sounded and looked ok-ish, and indeed it was. Think salmon that you're pretty sure was fried in a lot of oil - which made the outside too crispy. The inside was moist, but barely room temperature. The accompanying mashed potatoes and beans were very hot in contrast, but reminded me of a TV dinner. The ambience was dark and very loud. We couldn't hear each other unless we spoke very loudly, and we were at a small table. Bummer, because we wanted to visit with each other. They also had many special cocktails - all of which looked like sugar bombs. The upside is that our server was fantastic, and took good care of us. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area, in my view this isn't one of them. But then again, the place was pretty full. Go figure. read more

My family and I, a party of 8 chose Lib's on a Thursday evening at to Celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday, and we were so glad that we did. I called to make reservations earlier in the day, because when trying to make an online reservation through Resy it seemed as if there wasn't any availability until 9:45pm. I spoke with Nick and he worked it out so that we could be seated for dinner at 7:30 inside as it was a very busy evening. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving for our reservation, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Avotall was amazing, patient and super helpful. We started out with our drink orders and then placed our appetizer order while we waited for the rest of our party. Everyone pretty much ordered something different for their entree, and everyone enjoyed their meal. There was only one menu item that was sent back, my niece's steak was undercooked, but everything else came out pretty perfect, delicious, the portion sizes are great, and the presentation was great. The biggest hits were the seafood flatbread, steak, raw oysters, buffalo chicken tenders, oh and the drinks from the bar!! This place is packed on the weekends. Get there early. Beautiful open space with nice round bar and booths to tables galore. Even though they are busy, they are pleasant and fast to respond. First time in Maple Lawn development in Fulton MD and it's a nice new 'eat, play, work' town center with ample housing, offices and shops. I can see it becoming another Columbia In several years. Lib's Grill seems like one of the better options for dining so we walk over for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Nice looking restaurant with a large bar area in the front...clean and inviting. We grab a hightop in the bar area. The menu has your burgers, flatbreads, sandwiches, etc. The Baltimore Club catches our eye and at $28 it isn't cheap. We get that and a Grilled Chicken. Apps- Fried Oysters and the Md Crab Soup. Considering the positive reviews, I am expecting things to be on point and I'm not disappointed. Lots of crab in the soup and in the Club. There could be more chicken in the Grilled Chicken as one half has probably 70% enough chicken to cover the bun and the chicken is quite thin. That's probably my only complaint as there is a slice of green apple, bacon and brie/honey mustard that makes for a nice bite between the sweet and salty. The fried oysters are nice size and fried to perfection and there is some radish like salad underneath the oysters with a tasty dressing...good stuff. I love to support local businesses and wish we had a Lib's down in Nova as I would be a frequent customer. If you live in Maple Lawn or nearby, give em a shot. read more

I went to take my senior dog for a date on a beautiful spring night. My dog got his nail caught on the metal ground thing outside the restaurant and he was gushing blood everywhere. He lost the nail. Very strange and unusual thing. The restaurant team was hugely kind and helpful. They offered me a gift certificate for the hassle (it wasn't even their fault!), gave me a rag and bowl of water and napkins. I rushed him to the emergency vet and they cleaned him up. He will be fine! Thank you so much! We will come back to use the gift certificate. I really appreciate the help and kindness. Every now and then I get surprise when I go out to dinner. This restaurant was amazing. The food the service and the ambience was perfect. I absolutely recommend the pork chop. When you think of a grilled pork chops, you think of something dry and tough but this pork chop was probably the best thing I've eaten in a long time. It was so good that I had to put aside my ribeye steak, and focus on the pork chop. The restaurant has fresh oysters, fried oysters and oyster soup. The soup was absolutely delicious with huge juicy oysters to enhance the flavor. The crab dip and candied bacon was a perfect combo together. However there's so much on the menu. I still need to try. I have been a guest at libs several times over the past year. Many times with family celebrating on special occasions. Other times, during happy hour. My server and bartender has consistently been Shwe! I cannot say enough about how great her service was from her greeting and making the experience feel welcoming, to her ensuring the orders were accurate timely and delicious! The dining room was emmaculate and clean, the music was perfect and the energy was exquisite. Brandon has been the manager several times as well. They like so many places are suffering from supply chain issues, but we're doing the best they could.. you can tell they're dealing with more cops as well I'm passing the cost along to the customer which makes sense... We ordered 5 things to share: fish tacos, truffle fries, Brussels sprouts, fried oysters, and deviled eggs. My favorite was the fried oysters and fish tacos. The deviled eggs topped with crab meat was kind of disappointing because the crab was bland and it came with 3 halves...why not have 4 halves (2 wholes) eggs for an order? Did someone eat a piece? The restaurant was clean. Servers were very friendly and came around to check on us a few times throughout the meal. Came here Friday night with friends again. The specials were really good. I had the lemon cream mussels and the mussels were huge! The cream sauce was heavenly. The Salmon tacos were delicious, and the sea bream fish special was cooked perfectly except for the mashed potatoes. They were gummy and I asked the manager if he could bring it to the attention of the chef. You get gummy mashed potatoes when you mix hot potatoes with cold milk. My friends and I were disappointed that they took off the short rib poutine off the menu. The last time I had it I complained because it tasted like it was scorched, but that was only 1X. We have been here so many times and loved it. Unfortunately, this evening was awful. The server "forgot" my kids drinks and then later apparently forgot their food order. During a gal pal meet-up, the BFF, Crystal H, suggested we link up at this spot. Prior to this visit, I had never heard of Lib's Grill before, but apparently it's been featured on a dating show we enjoy watching, so we had to make an appearance too. She made reservations and good thing too because this place was popping on a Friday night! Lib's Grill gives me a fun bar/restaurant and lively type of vibe. Since the holiday season is upon us, the restaurant was decked out with plenty of decorations, including a magnificent lit Christmas tree in the center of the room. Santa hats adorned the back of each chair, a festive Christmas themed drink menu is provided, and festive Christmas activities are planned for the month of December. I ordered a Yuletide Wine to get the party started. It's served warm and in a cute mug. It was giving me warm and cozy vibes. At first it was delish, but after a while it reminded me of drinking potpourri. Weird, I know, but what can I say. We then ordered the truffle fries and the crab dip for appetizers. The dip was lacking crab, but had plenty of dip. For my main entree I ordered the BBQ Bacon Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was soooooo good! The crunch on it was superb! Crunchy, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly! For dessert, I ordered the mini chocolate mousse cake. Pretty tasty! Our server, Ashe (sp?), was very eager to please us the entire evening. We sat inside and the vibe was cafeteria meets class in a way. We ordered they deviled eggs and seared tuna first. Both fresh and flavorful. My best friend and I ordered 12 oysters. They offer different varietals daily so just ask about their origin and they will happily tell you some details. They were tasty but a little gritty for my parties liking. The mains for us were the roseda Farms Burger, Pistachio Salmon and Corn and Crab Bucatini. The burger was juicy and seasoned well. The pasta was attractive but lacked flavor in the sauce.
