Parking can be a little tricky if you want to park right outside, especially over the weekend I imagine, but there was parking in the back, some street parking, and I'm sure some garage parking somewhere. I have been a guest at libs several times over the past year. Many times with family celebrating on special occasions. Other times, during happy hour. My server and bartender has consistently been Shwe! I cannot say enough about how great her service was from her greeting and making the experience feel welcoming, to her ensuring the orders were accurate timely and delicious! The dining room was emmaculate and clean, the music was perfect and the energy was exquisite. Brandon has been the manager several times as well. He never missed the opportunity to visit the table or bar to welcome us or myself back each time by name! The cocktail service from the bar was also efficient! Although, I am accustomed to handcrafted, the ingredients tasted fresh and were poured to perfection! However, I log on this afternoon to lament my group's encounter with three orders of "avocado caprese toast". Per $15 order, there was -maybe- 1/8 of an avocado to enjoy with four slices of thick toast. Onions too thick. Poorly proportioned dish overall. I went to take my senior dog for a date on a beautiful spring night. My dog got his nail caught on the metal ground thing outside the restaurant and he was gushing blood everywhere. He lost the nail. Very strange and unusual thing. The restaurant team was hugely kind and helpful. They offered me a gift certificate for the hassle (it wasn't even their fault!), gave me a rag and bowl of water and napkins. I rushed him to the emergency vet and they cleaned him up. He will be fine! Thank you so much! We will come back to use the gift certificate. I really appreciate the help and kindness. Visited for happy hour; disappointed the short rib fries are no longer on the menu, but relieved the fish tacos are still available. The crispy, tender fish with tasty drizzled sauce impressed, but the cooked red cabbage, potentially with horseradish, left something to be desired--too much weird red cabbage juice. Dined here with a group of 4 and I was disappointed for several reasons. Maybe my expectations were too high based on their Open Table profile, which made Libs look like a moderately priced restaurant with a menu that was versatile. What I encountered was a dark, noisy environment with a menu where I had to pick the best of mediocre looking dishes. The poke chips had lots of greasy chips and very little poke - which really wasn't poke- more like a few chopped up pieces of tuna and way too much sweet sauce. I had the salmon that sounded and looked ok-ish, and indeed it was. Think salmon that you're pretty sure was fried in a lot of oil - which made the outside too crispy. The inside was moist, but barely room temperature. The accompanying mashed potatoes and beans were very hot in contrast, but reminded me of a TV dinner. The ambience was dark and very loud. We couldn't hear each other unless we spoke very loudly, and we were at a small table. Bummer, because we wanted to visit with each other. They also had many special cocktails - all of which looked like sugar bombs. The upside is that our server was fantastic, and took good care of us. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area, in my view this isn't one of them. But then again, the place was pretty full. Go figure. read more

I would recommend Lib's to any of my friends. Their staff is very attentive. The food is tasty. I ordered their spinach salad with grilled shrimp for lunch the other day. It was a decent portion and generous with the salad fixings, which were crumbled Gorgonzola, dried apple rings and craisins. The dried apple ring was a nice touch. They have a good indoor and outdoor space. The outside tables have full and partial cover, so depends on what you want to get in to in terms of sun. read more

My family and I, a party of 8 chose Lib's on a Thursday evening at to Celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday, and we were so glad that we did. I called to make reservations earlier in the day, because when trying to make an online reservation through Resy it seemed as if there wasn't any availability until 9:45pm. I spoke with Nick and he worked it out so that we could be seated for dinner at 7:30 inside as it was a very busy evening. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving for our reservation, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Avotall was amazing, patient and super helpful. We started out with our drink orders and then placed our appetizer order while we waited for the rest of our party. Everyone pretty much ordered something different for their entree, and everyone enjoyed their meal. There was only one menu item that was sent back, my niece's steak was undercooked, but everything else came out pretty perfect, delicious, the portion sizes are great, and the presentation was great. The biggest hits were the seafood flatbread, steak, raw oysters, buffalo chicken tenders, oh and the drinks from the bar!! This place is packed on the weekends. Get there early. Beautiful open space with nice round bar and booths to tables galore. Even though they are busy, they are pleasant and fast to respond. I was on my way home to Philly and needed a MD Crab Cake sandwich. Delicious!! Heavy on the crab light on the filler. I didn't need sauce. First time in Maple Lawn development in Fulton MD and it's a nice new 'eat, play, work' town center with ample housing, offices and shops. I can see it becoming another Columbia In several years. Lib's Grill seems like one of the better options for dining so we walk over for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Nice looking restaurant with a large bar area in the front...clean and inviting. We grab a hightop in the bar area. The menu has your burgers, flatbreads, sandwiches, etc. The Baltimore Club catches our eye and at $28 it isn't cheap. We get that and a Grilled Chicken. Apps- Fried Oysters and the Md Crab Soup. Considering the positive reviews, I am expecting things to be on point and I'm not disappointed. Lots of crab in the soup and in the Club. There could be more chicken in the Grilled Chicken as one half has probably 70% enough chicken to cover the bun and the chicken is quite thin. That's probably my only complaint as there is a slice of green apple, bacon and brie/honey mustard that makes for a nice bite between the sweet and salty. The fried oysters are nice size and fried to perfection and there is some radish like salad underneath the oysters with a tasty dressing...good stuff. Every now and then I get surprise when I go out to dinner. This restaurant was amazing. The food the service and the ambience was perfect. I absolutely recommend the pork chop. When you think of a grilled pork chops, you think of something dry and tough but this pork chop was probably the best thing I've eaten in a long time. It was so good that I had to put aside my ribeye steak, and focus on the pork chop. The restaurant has fresh oysters, fried oysters and oyster soup. The soup was absolutely delicious with huge juicy oysters to enhance the flavor. The crab dip and candied bacon was a perfect combo together. However there's so much on the menu. I still need to try. Came here Friday night with friends again. The specials were really good. I had the lemon cream mussels and the mussels were huge! The cream sauce was heavenly. The Salmon tacos were delicious, and the sea bream fish special was cooked perfectly except for the mashed potatoes. They were gummy and I asked the manager if he could bring it to the attention of the chef. You get gummy mashed potatoes when you mix hot potatoes with cold milk. My friends and I were disappointed that they took off the short rib poutine off the menu. The last time I had it I complained because it tasted like it was scorched, but that was only 1X. Maybe they changed chefs, I don't know. I know the manager said he would remake for me when I came back but now it's off the menu. Go figure. Great from start to finish. Requested corner table at reservation. Arrived and seated at corner table, although restaurant was crowded. Server Chris was personable and did not rush us to order, as would be expected from any good server. But there's more! He's also a magician, and regaled us with several tricks that entertained and really amazed. The food was well prepared, nicely plated, and ample. My companion had portobello mushroom steak, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had steak frites, which I have had at several top restaurants. Lib's version ranks among the best, with tender steak done to perfection and about the best fries I have ever had. It's a bit out of the way for me, but certainly worth the drive. We have been here so many times and loved it. Unfortunately, this evening was awful. The server "forgot" my kids drinks and then later apparently forgot their food order. She also forgot how to count and got my oyster order wrong. My husband and I got our food while our kids sat waiting for their food. Our server was MIA, Then came by and acted like nothing was wrong. We talked to the manager. He seemed sort of apologetic but definitely not aware of the idiocracy we had been dealing with. Food was good as usual. I came here on Thursday afternoon around 5:20pm. I was told there's a 25 min wait for groups of 2, but ended up waiting more like 50 minutes! I wish they would give a more realistic estimate. I had no idea this place would be so popular! Once seated, we were able to order pretty much right away. I had one of the twisted mules, it was pretty good. We ordered 5 things to share: fish tacos, truffle fries, Brussels sprouts, fried oysters, and deviled eggs. My favorite was the fried oysters and fish tacos. The deviled eggs topped with crab meat was kind of disappointing because the crab was bland and it came with 3 halves...why not have 4 halves (2 wholes) eggs for an order? Did someone eat a piece? The restaurant was clean. Servers were very friendly and came around to check on us a few times throughout the meal. A Quick dinner at Libs grill a few weeks ago proved to be a tasty local treat. I saw they served raw oysters which are my recent obsession so I had to go. With my bestie and her mom as my dinner dates we got to try a few nice dishes off their menu. The restaurant is located in Maple lawn and has ample dining space both indoors and outdoors. We sat inside and the vibe was cafeteria meets class in a way. We ordered they deviled eggs and seared tuna first. Both fresh and flavorful. My best friend and I ordered 12 oysters. They offer different varietals daily so just ask about their origin and they will happily tell you some details. They were tasty but a little gritty for my parties liking. The mains for us were the roseda Farms Burger, Pistachio Salmon and Corn and Crab Bucatini. The burger was juicy and seasoned well. The pasta was attractive but lacked flavor in the sauce. The Pistachio Salmon stole the show. Gorgeous plating, great crunch, moist filet! I can't say enough. Grab your fork and head to Libs. Go at happy hour and be pleasantly surprised. It was a while for us to get our drinks (I had a 0 proof alcohol beverage), as well as our food. During a gal pal meet-up, the BFF, Crystal H, suggested we link up at this spot. Prior to this visit, I had never heard of Lib's Grill before, but apparently it's been featured on a dating show we enjoy watching, so we had to make an appearance too. Since the holiday season is upon us, the restaurant was decked out with plenty of decorations, including a magnificent lit Christmas tree in the center of the room. Santa hats adorned the back of each chair, a festive Christmas themed drink menu is provided, and festive Christmas activities are planned for the month of December. I ordered a Yuletide Wine to get the party started. It's served warm and in a cute mug. It was giving me warm and cozy vibes. At first it was delish, but after a while it reminded me of drinking potpourri. Weird, I know, but what can I say. We then ordered the truffle fries and the crab dip for appetizers. The dip was lacking crab, but had plenty of dip. For my main entree I ordered the BBQ Bacon Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was soooooo good! The crunch on it was superb! Crunchy, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly! For dessert, I ordered the mini chocolate mousse cake. Pretty tasty! Our server, Ashe (sp?), was very eager to please us the entire evening. I wish I had taken pictures of the food! Lib's delivered an excellent meal to our party of seven. I had the coffee-rubbed sirloin with green chili cilantro mashed potatoes. The steak was great but the potatoes were incredible. Most at our table had burgers and thoroughly enjoyed them. Asian Brussels sprout appetizer was delicious. Note: this is for the dinner menu. First, the good. The service was great. Our waitress knew just when to come and give us time and was very kind and helpful. The mocktail/zero proof drink was great. It is a simple drink, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. We also had a very good crab dip as an app. And that's where the praises end. The entrees were... bland, and honestly disappointing. It was very exciting to see that the salmon was encrusted with pistachio and pepita, but it didn't add any real flavor to the Salmon. I couldn't really taste either, which was really unfortunate. The mashed potatoes were alright, but also bland. I was very thankful for the salt and pepper shakers on the table. The spinach was regular ole spinach. The one good thing about this dish was the squash purée, which only has its flavor from the ingredient being naturally sweet. My friends entree was also disappointingly bland and uneventful. She got the pan roasted chicken, which was also bland. She did seem to enjoy the ravioli, but also commented that the spinach was just...spinach. I've been told the brunch is much better, but I would avoid going for dinner. Overall, you're throwing too much money at a place with little flavor in its dishes. I normally don't like Brussel sprouts but they were well seasoned and crispy. Pork belly had great flavor Edamame 3/5 - was cooked well and tasted good but could be a little saltier. Soy garlic had good flavor but overall a little weak on flavor Burger 3/5 - classic burger. On the bland side, had no sauce, and was a bit dry. The burger was cooked to the desired rarity Garlic shrimp 1/5 - For $11 it only came with 2 shrimp and 3 skinny pieces of bread. After seeing the first one come out, we asked to cancel our second order (someone came and ordered late). They canceled it but still charged us. Crushes 5/5 - Lemon basil had a good flavor and balanced to barely taste the alcohol (favorite flavor). Grapefruit and orange were also delicious and didn't have any alcohol taste. Had a little spicy kick but a good balance Tito Martini (pineapple) - Just titos and canned pineapple juice. On the stronger side but nothing special. I went to Lib's Grill for happy hour with a group of colleagues. The wait staff were really friendly without being at all obtrusive. They had some inventive cocktails on the menu, including a boozy version of the Sta&bu@ks pink drink. I ordered the hummus plate and it was really good - the pita was a little bit grilled and the hummus had crumbled feta on top. My friends ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts (alas, with bacon, so I can't comment on them, but the others seemed to enjoy them) and the fries, which disappeared quickly. I liked Lib's. We stopped in around 9pm on a Friday night, so maybe that's why it was a bit off. There were seats at the bar so we decided to grab those. The floors surrounding the bar were dirty with what looked like spilled food. That was the first red flag for us. Where it went wrong was the food and service. We ordered the fried oysters and truffle fries to start. The batter on the fried oysters had no seasoning. The truffle fries were good, but would have been better if they came out hot and fresh. As for the entrees, I went with the shrimp and grits and my friend ordered the short rib rigatoni. I was really hoping for two awesome entrees, but was sadly disappointed. My grits were undercooked which really ruined the entire dish. We sent it back because it just wasn't enjoyable. The manager came out to acknowledge our issue and asked if we wanted to order a different dish. I was slightly disappointed in her lack of concern that food was coming out of the kitchen in this manner. It seemed as though she didn't care and that this may be a common occurrence. Sad that we almost didn't go because according to their online reservations they had zero tables, but thank goodness we called and were able to get one... only to come in to a nearly empty restaurant. Weird. I loved their prices for a mimosa or sparking wine but once i tasted it, it was clear why they were priced cheap- yuck. I sent it back and ordered a real Prosecco. Went to Libs Grill for an early bday celebration and enjoyed everything we got. The crab dip was a little on the salty side but to be expected for crab dip. The pastas were delicious, I got the short rib rigatoni and my friend got the blackened chicken pasta. Although expensive, the portions are big and very filling. The flavors were delicious but can definitely get tiring half way through. However there is enough to take back home for leftovers so that wasn't too big of an issue for us.
