This place is awesome! It's a cute gem on mass ave that has chill vibes with one of the best whiskey and bourbon selection I've seen! Their cocktails were phenomenal and customizable. We first had an old fashioned followed by a Manhattan. Both were spot on With some speakeasy vibes this is a great place for a good small group hang out or a date and I will definitely be coming back again

Checked out the new bar which was replacing an Indy icon. The space has undergone a complete transformation - I barely recognized the place. The bar is super classy without being pretentious. The mahogany bar is something to behold. The tunes are old-school blues. You could lose yourself in a bourbon here. If bourbon isn't your thing, there is plenty of craft beer local and non-local) to be found. I think this was a win-win for everyone involved. The previous tenant needed to upgrade to a bigger space, and now that they're in a sweet new location just up the road. I'll try the food next time. It's a little pricey (it's all a ala carte), but everything looked good. (This review is only for the ambiance/bar)

Liberty Street is my go-to if I want a quiet atmosphere to relax with a delicious beverage. If you enjoy whiskey, bourbon and handcrafted cocktails then this is the bar for you! The draft list isn't too shabby either. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and take the time to chat with those at the bar. Recently, I had a Cucumber Collins, which is a summer special, and let's just say I had to have two because it was so good. If you enjoy trivia, then make sure you stop by Liberty Street on Wednesday evenings at 8:00pm. There is a 2 drink minimum, but this is standard with most other bar trivia.

Stopped by here late one night with a group of friends to have a few drinks. The place has a pretty laid back atmosphere and the bartenders were awesome. All the ladies were enjoying some drink they made up for us and it was actually pretty good. I had never been to this bar before even though I know I've passed by dozens of times. Perfect place to meet up with friends over drinks where you can actually hear the person you're talking too. First time here , but definitely not the last.

I actually give this place 4.5 stars. We arrived at 10:30 on a Sunday (opening weekend). It wasn't busy and we were helped right away. Thomas, the bartender was extra friendly and chatted it up with us as we sipped our prohibition era cocktails. The vibe of this bar is classy, like a flapper girl speak easy. The music played is classical and inviting. We had a clover club and a cacao 72% cocktails. Both delicious. This bar sells true cocktails. Not a lot of sweet, flirty mixtures. Many of the drinks are heavy, bitter, strong or all of the above. I haven't tried the food yet since the kitchen closes at 9 on weekdays. The menu is small but offers a variety for both vegetarian and meat lovers. I will definitely be back. I'd love to hang at this place on a busy weekend night.

I just wasn't impressed. A few friends of mine and I decided to check out the new restaurant on Mass Ave. Sunday afternoon/ early evening and there were very few people. Maybe it's just because their new. We sat checked out the menu and decided to skip food. Nothing looked THAT good. At least not for the price. I will say though that what I saw brought out to other tables looked much better than expected. So, we settled on just doing drinks. I had a beer. They have a pretty good beer list. A friend of mine tried to get their signature drink but they were out of one of the ingredients. Overall the service was sloppy. The Bartending was slow given how few people were there. I'm sure I'll eventually go again once they work the kinks out but I'm in no rush.

Liberty Street is one of those places that didn't have an instant impact on me, but each time I go, I grow more fond of it. Mass Ave is full of blingy, modern, lit-up, maybe even gimmicky bars with two or three exceptions. Liberty Street is understated. They are the modest, strong silent type with the smoldering good looks, and they really have a lot to offer. The atmosphere is laid back and classic with low lighting and rich dark mahogany wood. They have an ample craft beer list along with craft cocktail mixology that rotates. I've had several house concoctions that I've liked very much, but my favorite so far has been the Red Lady, which is a tasty apple elixir garnished with a caramel apple wedge. The bartenders are friendly and skilled at serving up a quality drink that is worth the Mass Ave price tag. Liberty Street also offers up live music and the occasional trivia night for some entertainment. This is the place grown-ups go to have meaningful conversations over quality drinks.

My friend and I decided to sit at the bar. There were two bartenders working. Both super nice guys. The menu doesn't feel as "wide" to cater to more tastes. But the prices are still the same as other Mass Ave cocktail bars. BUT what Sundry and Vice has going for it is its locale. It's one of the only cocktail bars on this side of Mass Ave. Not only does this mean that it's easier to get to (depending on where you're at), but it also means that I've never had any issue getting seated here. In fact, even on peak Friday or Saturday nights, I have multiple choices of tables. (The only caveat I've seen to this is the unpredictable schedule of hotel conferences. If Bottleworks is hosting a conference, this place can get busier.) Compared to other cocktail bars down the road where they're on a 1 hour wait (or the "wait and see if a table opens" approach), I know I can always be reliably seated with zero issues at Sundry and Vice. The music exists, but it isn't overwhelming, and the low lighting and softer music makes this place great for actual conversations with people. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a large selection of booths. The cocktail bar is inside of the Bottleworks Hotel; it's effectively a swanky cocktail bar version of a traditional hotel bar. Some of their cocktails are draft/prepped in bulk, so if you're looking for something fast, that can also be a factor. And it's right across the street from Garage Hall if food/snackies sound great afterwards.

The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.
