My last two visits I have joined the drive thru at my arrival and each time I was greeted by young females. These young people were so kind and personable. They went out of their way to engage in genuine conversation. The interactions changed my whole day. This business is doing it right! Food was delicious and the drive-thru moved quick.

A good place to stop for comfort food in the Harper's Ferry Area…read moreAs of mid-2025, there are over 3,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants across the United States and about 23 in West Virginia. This location is one of those 23. It is about 15 minutes to the west of Harpers Ferry. I have visited many of their locations across several states and I am always impressed with their consistent service, cleanliness, food quality and tea. For me it is comfort food (and drink). We stopped by the Chick-fil-A near Harper's Ferry to pick up food for a family event. It was straightforward to get to with plenty of parking. The place was very clean and the staff were, as always, friendly. We ordered mac and cheese, chicken strips, brownies, market salads, and tea and lemonade for the group. Everything was prepared quickly when we arrived, with them giving us items as they were ready so loading the food in the car was easy. We originally thought that we ordered too much food but we were definitely wrong as there was nothing left after the event. It was delicious and well received by all of our crew. Overall, it was the pleasant experience that I have come to expect from every restaurant in the chain that I have visited.

My route was bringing us through Charles Town and it was definitely time to grab some food. Asking my nephew what he was in the mood for and he chose Wendy's. I wasn't mad at that. This location was more towards town and made for entering to be a fun task. It was after a traffic light and if there was traffic waiting at the light and you needed to cross traffic to get into the lot, you might be in for a wait. Once into the lot you are good to go about your business. I'm not 100% sure of this, but I believe this was an older location given that new conversion look. Fake fireplace, updated seating, cleaner look overall. First thing in here is that you have to order. Even if you do order it a specific way, you may not get what you ask for. So, onto the food. My nephew wanted one of their biggie bag meals, which I think was the double bacon cheeseburger thing, requesting it to be no mustard and no onion. I went with the Dave's single, no tomato, no ketchup. Whenever our order was ready we found a seat and started to get the food separated out. That's when my nephew found the first mistake. His burger had the onions and mustard. He was upset, but not too upset, he attempted to eat it, not all of it, but he ate a good portion of it. Then I opened up my burger and it, to no surprise, had both the tomato and ketchup on it. I wasn't happy about it, but wasn't mad either. I took the tomato off and championed through the ketchup. I could understand if they didn't hear me, but I said it at least three times. I did not want want those items and made sure to check with the lady taking my order as well. Whatever, mistakes happen, but also, mistakes stick with you and will remind me to not stop at this location if I am ever in the area again.
