Sunlight was starting to show on my journey and I thought that this would be as good as any place to make a stop to maybe grab a bite to eat, or at least grab a snack. This lot is huge, and almost feels like it is part of a bigger plan. This is evident when you circle around the lot. It feels like they have something in line for the lot directly behind Sheetz where they have already placed an entrance for whatever their thought was. Also at the back of the lot, it shares the space for the car wash next door. With the drive thru service at the rear, you definitely need to pay attention back here for the flow of traffic. I went inside to use the facilities, which were in decent shape. I could tell that this was a new store and that it is filled with everything we have become accustom to for a Sheetz. Back outside it was obvious that this location is quite busy. The constant flow of customers is obvious when the change in vehicles is so quick that by the time I went inside and came back out it was like the whole lot changed over.

Walking in the store was very clean, bright and inviting, the staff were friendly and talkative to everyone who entered including myself. Me and my buddy ended up getting some of the app samplers to try out their food, you got to choose 3 of the 7 different appetizers they make ready to serve. I got the chicken bites, mozzarella sticks and cheese curds with the Dr Pepper BBQ sauce and we both enjoyed them for what they were. They were made in front of us and hot when we received them and I didn't know I needed some Dr Pepper BBQ sauce in life until that moment! And for the $7.11 price tag the price was fitting for the amount I got and the quality. All in all a good experience.

The only gripe I have about Sheetz in Virginia is that they are very dated, inside and out. They are of the late 90s variety. The pumps were the big bulky ones that look like they could turn into a transformer if activated. The inside, although updated, is still the cramped design they had way back when. They attempted to update it with all the latest Sheetz innovations but lacked the space needed to make it not feel claustrophobic in here. I can't really ever be mad a Sheetz, so I won't hold that against them.

First thing that got my attention was how clean it was. I wasn't planning on getting any chicken, though I always drive by after grocery shopping and never do. Today, I stopped for drinks, not even thinking about the chicken. I changed my mind very quickly. After answering all my questions, placing my order and letting me know I would have a wait time. Knowing my order was going to be about 20 minutes, I put the drinks in the car and went back in the store to wait. Next thing I hear is, "Ma'am, I put a chicken tender here for you to try." At this point, I was so amazed with the customer service, I graciously accepted it. It was so juicy, crispy and tender. Since I generally don't do any type of review and I felt so compelled to write this one, I think from now on if I have a hankering for some fried chicken, this will be my go to spot. Thank you Circle K Winchester crew members, I will be coming again!!
