After reading all the reviews of this salon I was excited to try them. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure turned out well. The gel manicure is another story. There is polish all over my fingers and cuticles. She did not polish the tips of my nails so it doesn't start to peel. I'm very unhappy. I've been going to Li En since shortly after it opened. The staff is always very nice, and after a few visits they remember their customers. In addition to the regular nail salon services, they have chairs available for young girls that are shaped like butterflies and their own personal TVs beside the chair. Li En also offers something to drink to their clients, something that other nail salons I've been to do not offer. I usually ask for water, so I'm not sure what other selection they might have. As with many nail salons run by people whose first language is not English, the staff will sometimes speak in another language, but I've never felt like they did so overly or felt like they were just gossiping about their customers like I have at other nail salons. Went for a fill. Showed the staff a picture and asked if they could recreate this. The lady at first said "yes". I also wanted to change my shape from Coffin to Stiletto and I asked her to file my nails really slim. She said she couldn't do that or didn't know what I meant and handed me the file. I filed my nails myself which I was okay with but while I did that she caught a major attitude. Coming to polishing she said she wasn't going to be able to polish the tip of my index finger the way it is shown on the picture and I asked why. She said "because I'm DIFFICULT". We showed up at 9:30am on a Monday and they had 10 people working, 8 of them occupied so the secret is out They also dry your feet while in your chair so you get more massage time! We were very impressed with the level of service and the fact that they had so many people. read more

Do not get their acrylic nails. Especially the lady I had. Never got her name but she did a horrible job. Nails were smudged after leaving salon and letting nails dry for 30 minutes. Update 7/7/20: Got the gel toenails yesterday and didn't catch the name of the lady who did my toes. Honestly very disappointed. One of the toenails lost some of the polish and that is not okay for how much you pay for gel. Won't be going back here again. Tried to give them a second chance. But no. Sorry. read more

I love this place for French tip pedicures but manicures? No. I asked them if they did gel nails. Not gel polish, gel nail extensions, the stuff in the little pot that hardens under the led lamp. They said yes we do that and this is how much it costs. I get there and they give me acrylics, which is not what I asked for. The lady refused to thin them down when I told her they were too thick. The tips are uneven, she cut me with the file multiple times and I'm just not happy with the place at all anymore. Suggestions welcome for a place that does what they say they do. I couldn't be more pleased with Li-En Nails. The wait was quite a while this past Saturday but they were down 5 or 6 people due to a family reunion and a couple people just leaving for college. They let me sit in the spa chair and offered me a drink while I waited. They go by number in line here so don't come in expecting to jump everyone waiting for a pedicure just because you aren't wanting only a manicure. The spa chairs were fantastic, I received a nice long arm and leg massage with my manicure and pedicure. Everyone was so friendly. Even better was the cost; my total was $42. Also, ask for the reward points. You get a point for every dollar you spend and get $10 off you visit after you reach 300 points. read more

Wow. Worst service ever. Honestly. I came here just because it was close to my house despite the ratings. The girl was rude and spoke in a different language but would not say a word to me. After trying to start a conversation with her she ignored me. The equipment was blah and the chairs were uncomfortable. Nails were supposed to be plain black. Pretty easy right? I understand no reservations are taken - only walk ins. But after coming there for months and knowing what nail tech I am willing to wait for, I was rudely and harshly dissed by a man that told me the tech would be 45 minutes. I told him I would come back in 20 minutes. He knew who I wanted to be with and he screamed at me "we dont take reservations. You leave, you lose your place in line!" No one else was waiting at the time. I left and will not come back. The quality of service here is very diverse. Havent been there in 2 months because the last tech ruined my nails (couldnt get the tech I wanted at the time) and I had to wait for them to grow back. The price is the same - whether you get good service or not. But I won't accept offensive behavior and sub standard services , even if it was free! After awful customer service and manicure at Polished, a few years ago, I started coming here. They do a really great job when they aren't packed. If they are super busy the quality is a bit less, because they rush a bit. I always stop in when I am in town visiting. They are really nice and the shop has a relaxing atmosphere. Nice enough folks at first. Salon itself was blah - nail polish all over their stations and fans, dead fly in their soaking solution. But, overall big picture, I guess you could say the atmosphere was decent. I left knowing my nails had been done better before, but for the work trip I was going on for the next week, these would do the job; nothing too fancy. The color stripped from my gel nails (having a weird yellowish looking ombre effect) and started to peel within a few days to a week. I went back 8 days later (as I was out of town) to ask for a fix or a partial refund given I have never had gel nails deteriorate like that - thankfully they fixed it, but not without being very rude about it first. The main receptionist guy was great, but the ladies were downright rude. The main ring-leader lady even started to argue with me in half-English in front of other customers which was super embarrassing. Almost walked out without the fix in fear they would intentionally cut me or not use sterile utensils. Will most definitely not be going back. read more

I decided to take a day to myself and run to Mt. Juliet to do a bit of shopping and go to Salsarita's. After finishing up at Providence I decided to stay in Mt. Juliet to get my nails done (since all the nail salons in Hermitage are stupid). They closed at 7:00 and it was about 6:30. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted. I picked out my nail color and they immediately got started even though they had a full house! My nail tech was Tami. She was very sweet and nurturing. She was quick and precise. I will most definitely be going back! The only reason I didn't give it four stars is because my thumb nails are slightly uneven and I'm pretty particular about my nails. I've only been here once and my first time it was clean, they were prompt in providing service. Not super personal but nice enough. It was relaxing and the color turned out nice. Just disappointed that after waiting 10 minutes under the fan and light my nails got messed up before I got home and I did such a terrible job trying to fix it. This review is strictly about a conversation I had over the phone with an employee while trying to book an appointment. I called on a weekend day to see if they had any appointments available , I specifically asked if they take appointments or walk ins only and he said yes we do take appointments . I then asked if he had any appointments for today and he said let me check ... Came back to the line and asked what time and I told him the soonest available . He started to get my information then said oh we don't take appointments . I was sooooooo confused. I checked in on July 31st ready for a pedicure and full set of colored acrylics, so excited to be in my fav nail salon and ready to drop a bundle on myself. It was as great as I remembered until I was given a different girl to do my manicure, who refused to push back my cuticles in a way that would have actually been useful. Her first excuse was "I don't want make you bleed." The next one was "I am doing my job and this is the way I do my job". Last, she finally flat out refused to finish me or let the other girl do my full set. Then, she became extremely rude and agitated when I finally picked up the metal implement she had used and showed her in about 4 seconds what I wanted and did all 10 nails reassuring her all the while that I wasn't in pain and actually loved how clean it looked and felt. That's when she had a young man come over and the two of them threatened me and told me to leave! I was still wearing the funny pink flip flops with toe extenders still on my feet and after they very publicly forced me outside, her yelling at me in front of about 20 people in the salon, making me out to be a criminal and the young man got behind my car and wrote down my license while she called the police! She said I owed them $20!!! The worst part? When I asked to see the manager she said She WAS THE MANAGER. In my opinion, what she did to me was abuse and no one I know will ever go there again. If you want a better, more relaxed atmosphere and experience for the same price, go to DIVA NAILS in Providence. And if you do end up at Lien Nails, tell them upfront, you DO NOT want the MANAGER!!! Terrible customer service even worse mani/pedi services. Upon recently relocating to the area I have been desperately trying to find a good nail salon. After 2 visits to Li En Nail Salon I will won't be going back. First, the staff is very rude and short with their clients. The pedicures my friend and I received were sub-par at best. The polish barely lasted a week, very disappointing! I gave the salon a second chance only to received the same annoyed reaction when I walked in the door. My shellac mani started to chip the very next day and they refused to repair it. When I went to another salon they noted that the shellac adhesive had been placed too close to the cuticle and weakened my nails! My advice: avoid this salon. read more

I visited Li En nails yesterday and it was a mediocre experience. The tech was nice and did a pretty descent job on my my mani and pedi but I found it odd they had me stay in the pedicure chair for my manicure. It made it awkward for her to do my nails. I was given a fan in my lap to dry my nails. After sitting with my fingers curled around a fan for 15 mins I still messed one up putting my seatbelt on. Where is the nail dryer? They have about 12 pedi chairs but only like 4 nails stations?? Also, soccer on the entire time. And the workers yelling across the salon the entire time speaking in their language. Also, they didn't do any waxing. It was ok, but I'll likely continue my search for the nail salon I love and a bit more professional and relaxing environment. read more

I had to update my review. I've been to this salon three times now. The first two times were good. This visit the nail tech made inappropriate, intrusive comments: "Have you had toe surgery? Oooh are those mosquito bites on your legs?" Wow. I asked for a pedi and she insisted I also needed a mani, which I agreed to against my better judgment. I really hate getting an upsell, just give me what I asked for. They had used acrylic on only my thumbnails a couple of months ago to smooth out some ridges. She tried to pry it off. I literally had to say "Stop, that hurts" twice before she stopped. It was too late, she'd already peeled off the top layer ... or two ... of my nail. She said "I never use acrylics, I don't like them. I'm not a professional." I couldn't agree more. Then she added insult to injury and said "I could get them off but you're scared." I said "I'm not scared, it hurt." She said "Well I don't want you to cry all night" in a sing-song voice. Really?!? I just moved to the area a few months ago and found my new go to nail salon after the first try! It is really hard for me to find a place that does a good pedicure and is also clean. I love that they use liners in the pedicure tub, that is a must for me for sanitary reasons. Many places do not line the tubs at all and it grosses me out. Okay I realky hate to complain but I have to this time. I has been getting the chills shellac for almost a year now at another nail salon in nashvile.. So when I moved to Mt. Juliet, I thought LiEn nails wiuld be a perfect transistion for me. I was wrong. Twice I was given two totally different shades in my feet and hands. The first time I just paid and wore the two toned colors for two weeks. I did let the owner know of the mistake and he offered to redo it but i didn'nt have time. So yesterday i got the shellac polish change & feet done again. I chose a color for my feet and they helped me choosee a color for my (shellac) for my hands. Once i paid my money & stepped out of the salon I noticed the colors were entirely different. They colors were not even remotely similar. I asked the manager about it and he had just a nasty attitude with me, I was appalled! I just paid you my money and then you have attitude with me? Smh. I had just gotten off of work & i was so tired. They offered to redo my nails but they were so cold and lacked empathy about the situation. I declined their offer and asked for my money back. They declined and offered to put both gel on my nails and feet at a higher price. No way! I left unsatisfied and with two-toned. I will never go back there again! I am not sure what side of the bed employee Quang awoke on but it certainly did not include customer service or kindness. From the time we arrived to the salon, we were treated poorly. We were a group of bridesmaids, bride, and mothers of the bride. They had been warned weeks in advance of our arrival. They did not have enough employees to handle our group. When asked to sit, we were notified that we would be charged for taking a seat in the pedicure chairs if not receiving service. We asked to work on our own nails in the waiting area while waiting to get our manicure done. Quang was very rude and inflexible. Then when the bride asked a question about her pedicure color, Quang was very short with her an demanded she talk to her specific pedicure tech. When the MOH was getting her gel manicure, she didn't like the color that Quang had selected, I volunteered to bring her some other gel options and again Quang rudely said no other colors would work. What the heck!! Worst of all, all of the ladies that got their nails/toes done had a chip in their newly painted nails within 24 hours including the bride. Tons of pedicure chairs (12) and hardly any nail stations (4). The prices were surprisingly reasonable. This business has very nice furnishings but poor customer service and nail painting skills. Choose another salon, you will be disappointed in this salon if they do not improve and get training. Because of the treatment I received, I preferred to paint my own nails on the sidewalk curb by a friend for free rather than getting treated so poorly. read more

Please do not go here if for sanitation reasons if nothing else. I was sat in a pedi chair that was broken, I move to a different chair and the bowl was dirty. They moved me again added a sanitation tablet and left me there for 22 minutes. Till water was cool. As I sat there I watch at least two girls using used!!!! Pumice stones on feet as well as cheese grates and razor foot cutter which are not allowed to be use in most states. The Peru chairs were very nasty as well as there sanitation of tools.
