I found this gorgeous black and purple situation and was then sat at the bar. My nail tech was Michelle. She was quiet, but so am I. I watched as she took off my previous dip and prepped my nails for new. She offered me a manicure which I gladly accepted because I knew my cuticles needed work. Michelle gave me the most beautiful nails. They look better than what the sample looked like honestly. I'm absolutely in love. I will 1,000% be back to see her and I'm probably retiring from doing my nails myself because I can't go back now. Not after this. Also, this nail salon is gorgeous. I spoke to him on the phone and requested an experienced tech not someone in training because I am very particular. The nail tech that was assigned to me was not experienced but I still allowed her to attempt to do my nails. I didn't have any nails because I just removed my acrylic nails before I relocated. I asked for square shape and she gave me round which filed down the little nails I had. As I questioned him can he assist her he was you can leave and don't pay. I said no, you or someone will fix the nails and I will be paying for the service that was given. She didn't know how to polish and he refused to do it himself. He was the only person available. Another nail tech polished my nails and shaped them with as best as she could with the gel polish on. I paid my $40 and left and even gave each of them a tip. However, I will never return there for service again.

However, this humble Husband and Wife team at Rainbow Nails did an absolutely beautiful job for what I call a very reasonable price considering it's Ombré and I had jewelry put on. They are thin and not chunky, very well shaped and perfect! I will drive the 35 min for every nail job and will be referring my daughter and friends too. My experience was perfect! He suggested I not get a manicure since powder routine basically covers most of it. His suggestion saved me money. I said I did not want a thick coat because I don't want it to look unnatural. It wasn't the lack of conversation that was the issue, rather the negative attitude that felt very unpleasant. I let her know initially that I wanted oval nails, like the ones I already had. She didn't seem to understand me, and I had to answer in short sentences, which seemed to go over better. A couple of times I gently commented that I wanted a nail filed down slightly, and this seemed to really upset the nail tech. By the end of the appointment, she was pushing my hands in a way that felt uncomfortable. I was rushed out, with her giving me less than a 10 second massage on each hand, while simultaneously filing my nails, so she could get to another client. I was planning to overlook all of this, and just Pay and move on with my day. However, when I went to check out, I was expecting to be charged $35 for a fill, and the register said $70. I told the man that I didn't understand why I was being charged so much, and he said that a fill with gel X is $60. Gel X is apparently an upgrade, and when I told him that I didn't ask for that, he replied that I needed it with the nails I got. Actually that doesn't make sense at all. I came to find out by looking at the receipt that I was also charged an additional $10 for cateye (the polish and magnet for which I brought myself): another upgrade that also wasn't disclosed. Additionally, my nail shapes are not consistent. Moreover the ambience isn't very relaxing, with the man at the front desk yelling into a walkie-talkie every few minutes, causing customers to stare and look incensed. I honestly feel disrespected and taken advantage of, and once again I will never be back.

I got a pedicure a couple of weeks ago and my big toe nail polish chipped off on day four, and the prices never match what you're told. I like that it's close to my house but there are just too many negatives. Also, I didn't even get my feet rubbed. She rubbed my calves and acted like she's didn't want to even do that. Nah.
