Will never be back. I showed up on a Sunday, an hour before they were supposed to close. I only wanted a pedicure. I was told to choose my color, so I did. The girl who greeted me walked outside and next thing I know, some guy comes walking back in and slams his bag and keys down on a table (I'm left to assume at this point that he had "left" already and was told to come back). There was no "hello", didn't ask me which pedicure I wanted (I actually wanted a more expensive pedicure, but I decided at this point that I wasn't giving them any more of my money than necessary), just started on my feet without a word. He was finished within 30 mins. I go to leave and 20 mins before closing time (which is posted on their door and on google), they turn another customer away and lock the door in front of her. RUDE and inconsiderate. I won't be back. Update: I added pictures of my pedicure that was finished yesterday evening at 5:40pm. It is not 9:00am the next morning and this is how my toes look already. I was planning on getting my nails done today at my regular place but after doing some shopping in Mt. Juliet, I really didn't feel like driving the 35 min to get to my regular spot, so on a whim, I stopped into Diva Nails. I walked in at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted right away. I told them I just needed gel polish and they asked me to pick my shade. One of my biggest pet peeves about a nail salon is when they don't tell you how long of a wait it's going be...which they didn't, but I wasn't in a huge rush, so I pick a shade and sat down. I noticed how large the nail salon is, but from what I could tell there were only 5 people working (this could be because it was Sunday, I'm not sure). After about 30 minutes, the owner asked me if I had been helped and what I was needing, once I told her, she grabbed my polish and brought me over to her chair. I had already taken off my previous gel polish, cut and filed my nails and trimmed my cuticles at home, so all I was needing was the polish. She lightly filed my nails, buffed them, then proceeded to apply the polish. She took her time, making sure not to get any on my cuticle and in 30 min I was done! When I went to check out, I was a little surprised that the total came out to $25 for gel polish only. My usual place only charges $15 if you're not getting a manicure. Overall, the experience was good, this will definitely be a back up place for me if I can't get into my regular place or if I'm in the area. read more

Went to Diva Nails twice in 2 days! The first time was to get an acrylic fill in. My nails eye only 2 wells old say the time but I had cracked 2 nails. The nail tech told me about the additional $5 charge on top of the normal extra charge for gel polish. I agreed to that fee. It was also additional charge for a me to get that polish and add a glitter gel polish on 2 nails. When she started to do my fill in she then told me it's an additional charge for a cut down. I told her I would skip the cut down (I thought it was odd to charge a fee for cut down when it's normally a part of the fill in but whatever). I then asked if she could keep my coffin shape nails that I already had. She advised me that was another additional fee. I skipped that. She continued to work on my broken nails and told me that it was additional for repair in 2 nails. I was ol with that because I came in with 2 broken nails. Instead of replacing my crack nails that was broken at my finger tips she files it down and add additional acrylic to seal the crazy. I left spending $65 for a fill and polish change on toes. Fast forward 2 days later (Friday now Sunday) and guess what a nail that she repaired is now cracked again in the same spot. I go back and she tells me she didn't charge me for the repair and that I would have to pay additional $5 to have a new nail repaired. The only other option was for me to get more acrylic added on top of the crack! I went ahead and paid for the new nail but funny thing she did not even keep the little coffin shape she left me with from the original fill in. This was a waste of money. I wished I would have went somewhere else that valued my money. Sadly I still tipped the first time I went. I wish I didn't. read more

Diva Nails is your typical Asian-run nail salon, though slightly more upscale. They offer manicures, pedicures and different options with artificial nails. I can only speak of the pedicures, but my mom had a manicure and was pleased. The prices are a little higher than where I used to go, but they do a much better job. Pedicures run $30 for the basic of $50 for the extra treatment. I have two complaints about the salon. One has pretty much been a complaint about all the Asian-run nail salons, and that's how much non-English gossip that goes on between the employees. As someone who works in customer service, I find it rude since they know their patrons don't understand what they're saying. It's just bad customer service. My second complaint is that they don't offer a any sort of hair removal service like many hair and nail salons offer, like a simple eyebrow wax. I like getting my eyebrows and pedicure at the same place. The place does take credit cards, but they have signs that they prefer cash and checks. I can only assume that it's because of tip reporting. read more

Paid $60 for a dip manicure, which is supposed to last 3 weeks. Within 1 week the top coat chipped on almost every nail and a few nails have cracked. She also rushed through it and I didn't get a full manicure (no cuticles cut, no massage)... JUST TERRIBLE. Follow-Up: I went back in today to see if they would fix it... the same girl did, but she commented that she didnt like the color I chose and then tried to charged me again... for FIXING HER BOTCHED JOB. I try to give Diva Nails more credit than is due because they are the OG nail salon in Providence - the only one that's been there from the beginning. The two good things about the salon are that there is very rarely a wait (even when other salons have hour-long waits down the street) and you can usually get in and out quickly. The quality of services, however, are subpar. Pedicures are rushed, and gel manicures are terrible. The gel chips or cracks by day 3 at the latest - this time after less than 12 hours for me. When I went back for it to be fixed (first time I've ever done that), the manicurist simply blobbed on another coat. I've never had a gel mani look worse. I was concerned about coming here after reading the Yelp reviews, even though I'd heard good things via word-of-mouth, but it could not have been better. The atmosphere was friendly and fun, and the price was very reasonable. Everyone was polite and friendly. I had never had a pedicure before, and I had two ingrown toenails and one with a painful "something" like a split on one side. This was worrisome, because I dance several times a week, and the "something" rubbed very painfully against my dance shoes. I was lucky enough to have Samantha (okay, I requested her, based on my mother-in-law's recommendation). She was friendly, skilled, and patient, but most important, she was also gentle and deft with the manicurist tools. I can't say enough good things about the foot bath and massage. Don't wanna be that guy but.... Came here for the first time to get a first time solar nail fill in. Told tech that and I assumed her professional judgement on what was all was needed. The white tip band had grown out enough that it was just tiny white lines. When I asked her if she was gonna paint in the white some more, she said it was too late and that I should have spoke up sooner about wanting it. I had decided at that point, that this person was incompetent and that I'd just go directly to another salon right after she is done. She filed the nails down to nearly nothing. You can see the top of my finger tips over the nails ! What's the point of having nails ?! She left powder and polish residue on my fingers . The nails themselves are lop sided and the white band part is painted on uneven. To some ppl who are unfamiliar with nails, you'd say they look ok but I guess I'm just use to better service. It also took an hour and ten minutes. And I guess I know why there prices aren't posted, cause when she ran my card, it was $60! More Happy than Unhappy. I went in for a pedi without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon and was helped right away. This is a lovely, upscale salon with prices to match. $40 ($46 with tip) for a 30-minute pedicure with the mud-mask on feet and lower legs. Loved the foot bath and mud mask. Very nice selection of OPI colors, especially the dark, brooding neutrals that I love. My esthetician was nice enough, though the treatment was fast, I sort of like getting in and out. My dissapointment was that the lady next to me was enjoying a lovely glass of white wine and nobody offered me so much as a glass of water. Darn! Oh well, still really like my toes. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE ! This establishment is extremely overpriced . Their menu does not reflect the services they provide whatsoever . I am not from Nashville, TN and decided to get my nails done for my birthday with a friend . I have faithfully been getting gel fill ins for years . I requested a menu and on their menu it reads "Gel fill ins : $25. This is the price I normally pay in Atlanta , GA . My friend was getting her nails done as well and was having a pricing concern as she had previously came and gotten the same exact service she was getting for a cheaper price ( and now they were charging her more) . In the middle of getting my nails done, thankfully she told me that my nails would cost me $45 . After asking my nail tech to breakdown why and being unsuccessful in explaining the rationale behind the pricing , he brought Samantha Tran to my station . She proceeded to tell me that they do not go by the menu that they have and they go by the prices in their heads . While explaining to her that I am a new customer and their menu was confusing and doesn't align with service I typically get , she all but told me I was stupid . As a new customer , I was extremely turned off and unsatisfied . She treated me as though I had a problem affording their overpriced services . It was definitely one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced . Again , receive services elsewhere . Has anyone ever had a nail salon not want to do a pedicure on you (if you're a guy) or your hubby's feet?! My husband works long hours and a very stressful job and last week we were getting ready to go on vacation, so I was ecstatic when he said he would tag along and get a pedicure with me before we went! We went to Diva Nails in Providence which used to be my favorite place. When we got there, an older gentleman (who I think is the owner) asked what we wanted and I said two pedicures. He said ok, and started the water on my chair and hubby sat down next to me. It didn't look like there was anyone available to do his pedicure, so I didn't think it was weird that they didn't fill his. As time progressed, the gentleman finished my pedicure, and still no one had even acknowledged that my husband was there next to me. After he finished with my toes, he took me over to do my fingernails and I asked him if someone would be available soon to do my husbands pedicure. He said yes. About 30 minutes later, my nails were almost done, and I heard my husband ask a lady what was going on. She responded that she was booked with appointments for the next 2 hours and that the guys in the salon would not do a pedicure on a man. He was understandably irritated and got up and walked out to wait for me. I was shocked and really upset that no one would do his pedicure, considering this is what they do for a living!!! Even worse, instead of telling us this when we got there, they let him sit there for over an hour without acknowledging him or explaining the situation. BEWARE!! I went here with a friend. Our checkout was rushed by staff. My friend paid cash and I did not see her pay cash and my credit card was charged for BOTH pedis and tip. Reviewing this as a guy who got dragged in here with my girlfriend on a Sunday.. Admittedly only had 2-3 pedicures in my life, but have always enjoyed them. We walked in, barely acknowledged, and the process took probably 15 minutes.
