    Corners not covered completely

Initially I was uninterested in reviewing due to avoiding having to deal with this matter any longer prior to leaving for vacation although at this point, I feel it is important to since it's only been two days Into having my nails done & I was left feeling frustrated & unsatisfied.Thursday morning I made a 5:30pm appointment to come in for a dip fill on my natural nails as well as a standard no chip pedi requesting to see Lee again if possible.Mind youthis was my 2nd time visiting this salon. I was very impressed on my first visit with the work that Lee had done. My nails looked immaculate she took her time as I was her last client for that day before closing & I was over all pleased with her service.Iasked for her card & name to make sure I could just start seeing her as a regular.Unfortunately my 2nd visit was completely different. The salon was busy & over booked closed to closing time. I tried to be patient & understanding bec at the end of the day I understand that this is a business that needs to produce income as well.I felt Lee rushed through the work & was not at all engaged this time around. I tried to not nitpick & wanted to wait until she was finished before checking my nails but I immediately did notice my toe nail having a corner way longer than the other which made my toe nail appear crooked. No big deal, I politely asked for her to please fix it & she did file it down. We moved on to my hands & I felt like she completely rushed through that as well bec she had another customer waiting after me. I over herd her tell the other customers that she would be seen at her normal 6:30 time bec she was early at that moment. The customer was getting a pedicure at the time so it worked out in that moment. After she finished my hand nails she told me to wait in-front of the fan to allow my nails to dry. I was confused bec usually when I get dip I don't run into having to wait for it to dry. So I was thinking maybe she used a different type of material? Who knows. I wasn't too worried about having to wait. She then walked away & started with her next client that had already been waiting for her. She stated to me that she would return to check them in a few minutes to make sure they were dry before leaving the salon. 15 min later she returned & said they were dry although I noticed the corners of my nails missing polish bec I was able to see my natural nail and the gloss wasn't covering that area as well. It looked jagged and uneven. Again I politely asked if she could fix the corners & Instead or redoing the polish ( or in this case dip) she proceeded to just put another layer of the shiny gloss to help mask the corners that she missed. Right before doing that she said that I was going to have to wait longer now since she was going to add another coat to the many layers she already had on... I did not want to argue with her bec honestly I trusted her judgement and figured they would look fine after doing what she suggested. I ended up leaving & after taking a good look at them at home and in the natural lighting I called them the next morning to see if she could fix them. I offered 3 days that I was able to come back for her to fix them and offered for her to pick which day she would be able to fix my nails with out her feeling rushed or busy. She put me down for Saturday at 12pm. I was thankful that she was willing to fix them and didn't think there was any animosity or awkwardness. Upon arriving she was finishing up a client and told me if I could wait for her. I had time so I had no issue with that.Iwent to the bathroom & after returning she was no where to be found. I sat by the front door & waited a few minutes for her when I then was approached by a man who asked if he could help me with my issues. I'm assuming he's the owner or maybe manager bc I noticed in the past his bluntness in his personality and sarcasm with other clients was a little unwelcoming & rude. His working area is next to Lee's up at the front & I could feel his energy towards other people while I was there both times. I understand working in the beauty industry can be hard, and quite frankly a little annoying dealing with women all day being picky about their needs and wants. I just find it inappropriate to have that type of energy when this is what YOU are choosing to do as a living. If you don't like it then maybe work somewhere else bec I found his passive aggressive & unsympathetic attitude uncalled for. I bluntly watched him walk away from other clients as they were in the middle of explaining how they wanted their nails just so he can put his stuff away & start the new client...****Continued in last picture

I visited this salon today and was shocked at the end of my visit. The nail technician completed my nails, and once my nails were dry she took the tweezers and began to clip skin from around my nails and on my fingers. She clipped skin from my fingers that did not need to be clipped. I wondered what she was doing, so I returned after I had paid $45 for an SNS (plus a $5 tip) and asked her why she clipped my fingers. She claimed I had dead skin, but I have been to nail technicians my entire adult life and no one has taken metal tweezers to my skin. Especially after the visit was complete AND when nothing else was needed. I had no dry skin on my hands. It is now almost 10 pm and my fingertips are sore from the technician clipping my skin. I plan to report this technician and shop to the State Licensing Board.

I recently read some reviews about this place so decided to give it a try after having a recent bad experience. I'm glad I decided to visit. First and foremost, I walked in the door and straight to a table. No, seriously... A nail tech greeted me, asked what I wanted told me that the nail tech was ready for me. Unfortunately, a gel manicure took a little longer than I expected. The most important part... My nails turned out really good. And it has nothing do with the fact that they're located beside Zoe's Kitchen (or does it?). I have NO dead skin around my cuticles and that in itself is wonderful. I'm highly picky when it comes to my nails and there are a couple of things I noticed once I left, but not enough to to deter me. I will definitely come back.

Stopped in on a Saturday morning for a pedi. They took me within 15 minutes without an appointment. I took most of my own tools but it seems like they are pretty clean with everything. I didn't give it more stars because my nail tech didn't spend a lot of time with the massage part or the buffing and the painting wasn't great either. Just a few hours later and my heels still looked dry as well as my cuticles. Though the service was friendly and the spa chair was newer than most, the quality of the actual pedi was just "ok".

    So here's the crappy thumb
    Cherylin L.

Whatever the nail tech's name is, it doesn't even matter. He did a rush job with my nails (as pictured) and my mother's nails. It just so happens that it isn't visible on her nails. There is another nail tech that purposely lied to my sister while getting a pedicure. My sister specifically asked "Will there be an up-charge for GEL POLISH?" Or in the simplest terms "it is extra for gel?" This was asked because it was never specified though it IS a general assumption. The lady clear as day told her "NO". So why was her entire pedicure $50/$55 when it was advertised for $36? "Oh oh no no no you must have misheard or she must have misunderstood you"....Yeah...the same BS. If you do have the misfortune of going to this shop. Go to the bomb.com JAESHA? (Jay-sha). She has produced the best nails since stepping in there.

So it's really a 4.25, but I like these people so much, I'm going to start them out with a perfect score. New to the Arbors, LH Nails Spa is a convenient and quality salon. First, there is plenty of space and they are staffed in order to meet demand. During the opening two weeks, they offered 20% off all services. This was a smart move, as they got customers in the door, like me. My nail technician, Mimi was EXTREMELY attentive to details and made sure everything was perfect with my having to point out flaws. She went through 4 bottles of silver glitter polish to find one that wasn't too thin so that you can actually see the line on my French nails. I felt like it took forever to get done, but I'll never complain about someone being too meticulous. Prices are average. Also, unlike many others salons, everyone speaks fluent English, so there aren't any communication issues that can cause request to go awry. This is important to me personally because it makes a huge difference in customer service when your technician can talk with you and understand your preferences. This is where LH Nails leaves the competition in the dust. Last, but not least, they are polite. There was a customer who walked in and asked what services they offered. Instead of pointing to the bright pink brochure that explained everything they offered in detail, the owner sat down with the girl and went over everything. Very professional and patient! If you're in the Mallard Creek area and looking for a mani/pedi, come here.

Large variety if polishes & gel!

Very nice nail bar! They provide a variety of services such as nails, pedicures, & waxing. Professional staff. Extremely clean.

L H Nails did nails on Friday and Monday this is how they looked and they would not redo them!! NEVER WILL I GO BACK THERE!!!

I had my nails done at L. H Nails Friday and they starting chipping in Sunday by Monday it was awful!! I went back Monday and told them my nails were chipping and showed them as well their response to me was we do not guarantee this!! Really so I paid you for really a days worth of decent looking nails??? I will never go back there agai

I paid 80 for a basic gel mani and pedi. I thought I was getting a pink color. But once I got home I noticed my color was changing to purple. I got the same color on my toes and nails. It looks like a fungus and is not the color I selected. I called the nail salon and the manager blamed me for choosing a "mood changing" color. I asked for refund because I believe the polish is old and turning and he refused. I would not recommend this salon to anyone

Started going to LH Nails in May (2019) ... I used to go to a place in concord but since living in Charlotte, I was looking for a spot that was going to be a little closer and convenient for me ... I feel bad for my old nail spot I used to go to because the lady that has been doing my nails for years is GREAT! But LH nails is even better! They welcome you when you walk in, even if they are super busy they try to get you in a spot as soon as possible and make you feel good and comfortable! The guy that does my nails, like to have small talk/convos with me while doing my nails and sometimes even crack jokes (I'm asian) and they are always so curious about how my culture is from theirs! I also love sitting at the high top chair and table to get my nails done, it's located to the right side of the store when you walk. But I will sit wherever they put me! I would definitely recommend this place a 110%!!!

Disappointed in my most recent visit to LH Nails. Usually this is my go-to spot for pedicures, but today I went in to get my SNS removed and get a basic manicure. I was given a difficult time about my decision to do so, and then I finally told him if he didn't want to do it, I would go somewhere else. After that, I feel like he rushed through my manicure and I was not given good service. I did need to get a few nails fixed due to my own fault at the dryer, which he did with no problem. I left with my hands covered in polish (which I did not do), and rough edges.

This is less than a weeks wear and tear, mind you I am not tough on my hands AT ALL and do not pick my nails.

Truly the worst gel manicure I've ever gotten. The lady took absolutely no time to prep my nails (causing the gel to pull up within less than a week), did not cut my cuticles whatsoever, didn't even take my old polish off. She rushed through all 3 layers of gel and finished in less than 10 minutes. I had to ask her to go back and make them look neater and I was still displeased with it but at that point just wanted to leave. Every single one is pulling up and chipping. I've never had a gel mani last less than a week before. Very disappointed and won't be going back.

Great for pedicures but manicures look like my nephew did it. Paint peeling, air bubbles in polish, brush strokes dried as a design on nail.

My service at NP nails was great…read more The salon is clean, they offer you something to drink. Most of the staff is polite. The person that did my service did not speak English and this kind of took away from my experience, she was so sweet but we had no way of communicating with each other, she had to pull one of the other techs over to translate. I've never experienced this before, so for me it was a bit frustrating even though she was so nice and did a great job. Because of the language barrier I was unable to get a real time cost estimate of the extra fees and was just taken a back at my total. And because service aren't itemized on the receipt, I couldn't really tell what cost what outside of the basic service like my pedicure. Anyway, service was great but I think I would prefer to be serviced by someone I can speak to, so there is a clear understanding of what I am asking to be done and what costs if any would be associated with it. Very nice people, very thorough. Will be back!

Friendly staff and no wait time…read more They work quite fast and rushed that you don't feel valued. One person started my nails and then another person finished it up. Because of this, the nails on my right hand look narrower than my left hand. Can't tell unless you actually put my hands together but it is visible when doing so and it didn't give me that feel that they were attuned with their client. I was so easily disposed to a next nail tech who came in and without saying a word started working on my nails rather quickly. I felt like a transaction and quick dollar to be made- Not a good feeling.

I've been a loyal customer at this salon for about a year. Since moving to Charlotte two years ago,…read moreI've relied heavily on reviews when choosing businesses, so I feel it's only fair to share my experience. My earlier visits were decent, although the quality often depended on whether my nail tech felt rushed. I frequently had to remind him that I wasn't in a hurry so he could take his time, which usually resulted in better work. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. During my pedicure, another customer came in asking my tech to fix her polish. Despite me having an appointment, he paused my service to assist her. What concerned me most was that he used the same gloves between clients. I had to ask him to change them before continuing, which is something a client should never have to request. Throughout the appointment, he seemed very distracted -- on FaceTime, repeatedly checking his phone, and taking multiple breaks. During my nail service, I was nicked a couple of times, and my thumb was left bleeding. When I mentioned that my cuticles were being handled too roughly, my concerns were dismissed. I waited until we had privacy to calmly express how the situation made me feel, as I didn't want to embarrass him. Instead of receiving professionalism or understanding, the response was defensive and included remarks that felt inappropriate and dismissive. At that point, I asked to speak with the manager. The manager was polite and acknowledged the situation. She offered for me to return at another time to have my nails redone, which I appreciated, but I didn't have the time since I was leaving out of town for a wedding. However, I was still charged for the service. With pricing at $95 for a gel pedicure and dip for my nails (not including tip), I expected better hygiene standards and better quality. My nails chipped within a few days, and in less than a week they looked like they needed to be redone. One negative experience can outweigh many average ones, especially when it involves cleanliness, professionalism, and service quality. Charlotte has no shortage of nail salons, and for the price paid, I simply cannot justify returning. Sadly, I will not be coming back.
