Rude.. I should have known something was wrong here, empty on a Saturday afternoon when all others have been crowded. I walked in and was greeted, asked if they did Gel X.. (after googling and it's listed on their site, price list, as well as the price list in the salon).. The tech just said no and moved on, I waited for a sec because I didn't think that was the end of interaction but that was it. Instead of going back and forth I decided to leave and not spend any money with this business. Just disappointing. Good luck with your business if you're intentionally turning away customers read more

Scammers! Make sure they don't trick you on the prices! i stated my range and they still did what i didnt ask for

So glad I tried out this nail salon! I'm new to the area and have driven past a few times! I was in and out really quickly and had a great nail Technician (ask for Ben, he is GREAT at almond shape)!! I've never had such satisfactory almond shaped nails! He did them perfectly and was so kind! read more

The owner or main employee, whose name I believe is Ben does subpar work and gets angry when you ask for corrections. I returned to have my acrylic fixed after noticing that it was lumpy and he argued with me that there was nothing wrong with it. I returned a few days later because the gel polish was peeling back. He snatched my hand. I have been going here for the past 1.5 years out of convenience; however, after today's experience.. I will never return! For the price you pay, the vibe is terrible. He has a nasty attitude, lacks professionalism, and will argue with you! They also hassle you to pay via Zelle or some kind of cash app to avoid paying taxes which I think is odd. read more

5stars!! Fast service, affordable and the customer service here is excellent! I loved my pedicure and I will be back very soon!

They recently have 10% discount Monday to Wednesday. Thank you for the offer, but if your worker can't perform a regular work because you have a discount, then I'd rather not have it. Cheaper price = shitty work 1. They have an inspection lady coming in so the nail technician was distracted many times, and she left me waiting. 2. One of my fingers bleeded when she cut my cuticles. 3. When I asked a question, her tone sounds very very annoyed and rude. 4. She's too lazy to use the brush to clean up the nail ash from filing although the brush was next to her. She cleaned up the ashes on my hands with her hands. How unprofessional. I've had 2 of other people in this nail salon and they were pretty good. Thank you guys for providing great service. However, if your discount = bad quality, I don't think any of your customers would appreciate the discount. read more

Rude, Over priced and told me they was closed at 6:45 on a Thursday and I only needed eyebrow wax, more than enough time and he was just standing there. WILL NEVER BE BACK AND I LIVE 2 minutes away, rather drive further then to give them another dime. read more

I can NEVER get in touch with anyone by phone. No one answers and when the phone does pick up it's as if your dialing a fax machine. This has been a issue for longer than 3-4 months now and I even stated to them that the phone isn't working and they act like nothing's wrong. To this day it's still not working. Do you have a different number than what's online???? Can't get in contact with the comp what so ever!!! read more

Whilst in Charlotte preparing for an interview, I decided to stop here for some relaxation. I was apprehensive at first from previous reviews, but I had an awesome experience. This was a Monday so it was very slow, but the girl took her time and made sure I was thoroughly satisfied- down to the temperature of my water. She did my eyebrows immaculate the FIRST time. I couldn't ask for a better experience! Once I relocate to Charlotte, I will definitely be back!! Good area, fast service, reasonable prices ! read more

Where do I start... the technical (don't know her name cause she didn't answer when I asked) was VERY distracted. Looking around. Staring at the clock. Communicating with other employees. Watching people come in and out. She exfoliated my feet without looking at them. VERY uncomfortable. She made a joke when I was squirming. Like 'oh you ticklish.' No, it hurts!! And then comes the painting. She took 25 minutes to paint my toes and then had to redo the big toe four times because she kept knocking into it. I left with toes that looked like a four-year-old painted them not someone that I was paying $40. The person who was checking people in was very friendly yet when I told him I was disappointed in my service he didn't seem too interested. I personally won't be back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. read more

Great customer service. Prices are reasonable and wine was served. The $30 pedi was worth the price and came with the paraffin wax. I will have to go back for them to repaint my toes as the quality of the paint was not that great . Overall I would go again. read more

Bad customer service. I'm not sure if management changed but I used to come here all the time and could go to anyone. I had one person doing my toes and one doing my nails. When i told the person doing my nails that she had filed them crooked, she agreed and fixed it. (The pictures are the fixed version BTW). The tech doing my feet told me to double check my toes before she painted it because she wouldn't fix it. That really irritated me. Why would you not fix something if you do it wrong? Take a look at the pics and judge for yourself. I'll get my 9 year old daughter to do it for free. I was charged full price and was told that if even they didn't paint it, they would charge full price. That's odd not to fix it. Needless to say, I won't return. read more

This place is the definition of continuous evolution! I used to go here about two years ago and now every time that I go they always update the store to best suit their customers and it's amazing! Just about every nail tech there is very exceptional at their job they focus very much on making sure each of them are trained in the most popular and updated nail designs & techniques. On occasion it can be so busy that it's annoying because there's only so many employees, however with a decent amount of patience you are sure to get a satisfactory service. read more

I love this place! They give the best pedicure, they have a wide range of the staff is always so welcoming!!

Avoid this place. Pick anywhere else. Staff is worn and don't want to converse. They don't want to be bothered and don't care is they have your business or not. Place looks/feels dingy. They speak a Different language which Is not the issue but then look at you after they converse. Like they are talking about you. I guess they are used to a certain clientele and I am an outsider. Been going there for a year at least. Bogus read more

Nice people, lots of color options (even for SNS), lots of pedicure options, very good prices

I went to JV nails a total of 3 times. My first experience was good and was with a woman. The next two visits were with George. The second time my nail had lifted and with my busy life style i was not able to return to have it fixed. The third time was the icing on the cake. He argued with my requests to file my nails how I wanted them. The application job of my SNS ($40) was not good and I've had two nails crack after just 3 days. I WILL NOT RETURN HERE!! read more

JV Nails Spa - Horrible nail job! - Nail Salons Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Eureka! I've finally found a nail spot that I love and enjoy going to that's near my home. I've been here three times and I've had a different nail technician each time. It impressed me that each one is fully capable to do whatever kind of design(s) (not usually the norm at most nail salons) and shape your nails beautifully. Also of note, every time I've been here there's always a demand for eyebrow waxing. I overheard a woman exclaim how she ONLY allows the JV staff to touch her eyebrows. The staff is so friendly and truly make coming there a pleasure. read more

Tammy was amazing ! Got pedi with gel and a full set with gel and design. She did a great job with the pedicure, I gave her a design reference and she delivered ! I spent days deciding on a salon in my area and this is where I decided to go. The personalities were as dry as the Sahara Desert. They work fast, the acrylic was thin and flat. Very nice. Lots of SNS and gel colors. This was my first time getting SNS and it won't be my last. I will be back. They also did my gel p Update: I came back to get a fill on my SNS for my birthday and drove 40 minutes because I loved my first set and when I got there I asked a question about acrylic nails and the what designs you can get with Sns. I ended up getting an attitude from here with a lot of huffing and puffing. She started taking the nails off but I ended up leaving because I wasn't going to pay for the attitude and I wasn't her attitude ruin my birthday weekend. I really liked my first set from them and got soooo many compliments but I won't be back read more

The salon is really quick and they don't keep you waiting long. I love getting my eyebrows done here. They wax them with a wax pen and then fill them in with make up. Will never return to this salon again. Went there a week and a half ago and got the powder dip. That went fine. Nothing spectacular but fine. I came back today to get the powder dip removed and wanted a regular manicure as I didn't want to damage my nails any more. First of all the man who did my nails, instead of soaking off the dip, cut the corner of my nail then used an acrylic nail to PRY OFF the powder dip nail. Ripping off a decent amount of my fingernail along with it. He started to do this again with the next nail and I asked him if he could soak them off instead since ripping them off was clearly destroying my nails. He obliged but instead of soaking them, then scraping the residue off (like every other nail salon I've ever been to) he used the filing drill on all my nails, filing off the residue and a decent portion of my actual nails. Not even to mention nicking my skin multiple times. During all of this he continually tried to talk me into gel, since my nails were so thin...first of all I have been getting regular manicures for years. My last gel mani was in December and since then I've only put regular polish on my nails. They were healthy and long before I got the powder dip. Now after this absolute hack job my nails are so thin they hurt when I hit them on things. He started to paint my nails the color I picked and I was so upset (and in pain bc of all the cuts on my skin and the stinging that occurred anytime he put anything on my fingers) that I ended up telling him I was all set and was just going to leave them natural and I left the salon. The best part of the entire debacle is likely that on SOME nails I still have powder dip residue that's just been filed down into my nail bed even more. I'll be dealing with the repercussions of this manicure for months to come. Starting with having to order nail strengthener today. I repeat. Do not go to this salon. read more

This was my second experience at JV Nails. Both times I was seated immediately with no wait! During both of my visits, the salon had a quiet atmosphere with less hustle and bustle than other surrounding salons I have been to. Anne did my nails last time and today (I think she is one of the only technicians who does SNS). She is very nice, takes her time, and is enjoyable to interact with. I was offered water, soda, or wine while my polish was soaking off. Overall, I enjoy this salon and have received good service here. My only disappointment was when I tried to use the Yelp check-in offer for $35 for SNS today and was told that offer is no longer accepted. I was told that management just forgot to take that offer down. So, I paid $40 instead of $35 (not including tip).....not a huge deal, but always nice to save a few bucks and for businesses to honor their advertisements! read more
