I've been a loyal customer at this salon for about a year. Since moving to Charlotte two years ago, I've relied heavily on reviews when choosing businesses, so I feel it's only fair to share my experience. My earlier visits were decent, although the quality often depended on whether my nail tech felt rushed. I frequently had to remind him that I wasn't in a hurry so he could take his time, which usually resulted in better work. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. During my pedicure, another customer came in asking my tech to fix her polish. Despite me having an appointment, he paused my service to assist her. What concerned me most was that he used the same gloves between clients. I had to ask him to change them before continuing, which is something a client should never have to request. Throughout the appointment, he seemed very distracted -- on FaceTime, repeatedly checking his phone, and taking multiple breaks. During my nail service, I was nicked a couple of times, and my thumb was left bleeding. When I mentioned that my cuticles were being handled too roughly, my concerns were dismissed. I waited until we had privacy to calmly express how the situation made me feel, as I didn't want to embarrass him. Instead of receiving professionalism or understanding, the response was defensive and included remarks that felt inappropriate and dismissive. At that point, I asked to speak with the manager. The manager was polite and acknowledged the situation. She offered for me to return at another time to have my nails redone, which I appreciated, but I didn't have the time since I was leaving out of town for a wedding. However, I was still charged for the service. With pricing at $95 for a gel pedicure and dip for my nails (not including tip), I expected better hygiene standards and better quality. My nails chipped within a few days, and in less than a week they looked like they needed to be redone. One negative experience can outweigh many average ones, especially when it involves cleanliness, professionalism, and service quality. Charlotte has no shortage of nail salons, and for the price paid, I simply cannot justify returning. Sadly, I will not be coming back. read more

I will never come back here again, I'm a male that gets a manicure very frequently in the month. Ms Kim was very persistent about me getting a gel manicure once I told her that's not what I wanted she started to rush. I only wanted buff, she then gives me clear polish. I let her do it, she puts polish on my nails so fast and messy. Had polish on my skin but not the corner of my nails? I then ask her to take off the polish and give me a buff. The lack of empathy and customer service after I asked her to fix it was unsettling. She didn't even look at me while taking my card to pay for unskillful service. Replying to your message: She didnt spend an hour on my nails. I told her that I would be back next week to get both my nails and my feet done. She still persisted with me getting gels when I told her multiple times NO. Yes, she did rush if she didn't rush I wouldn't have had clear paint all over my skin and not on my nails. Usually a nail tech would wipe off the nail as they go. She did none of the above to any of my nails. read more

I tried this salon four years ago and didn't have a great experience, and my regular salon was booked. I had an important meeting this week pop up that couldn't wait, so I decided to give it a chance. The nail tech cut me three times. One is still bleeding three days later. I did not get full coverage or anything resembling the color I chose. You can see straight through several nails. As you can see, several nails are crooked and this is AFTER she 'fixed' them. I tried to address all of my concerns with her but she said "they're fine" and was dismissive and I wasn't about to subject myself to any further arguments or pain. If I could leave no stars I would. Where do I start? I came in for a manicure and gel polish. I also wanted a pedicure if they had time. About 3/4 of the way through my manicure I started checking them (nails) out. They were a mess. Polish all over my cuticles and my nail beds were uneven. I nicely asked her to remove it, but she assured me she would clean it up. Although reluctant, I agreed. She continued. By the end, I knew there was no repairing them. I kindly asked her to take them off. She began, I asked if someone could help her and every nail tech kept their head down and acted as if they didn't understand English. There were no other customers at that time. I asked for my money back at this point. Suddenly a man came in and assured me he would and could fix them, No need for my money back. I reluctantly agreed. Halfway through he admitted that the lady before, had ruined my nail bed beyond repair and my result would not meet my expectations. At this point the owner came in and started laughing and dismissed me when I told them that their service was below average, and I wanted my money back- he became rude and I matched his energy. Do you know this dude threatened me to call the cops on me? He went all KAREN. My response to him was to "call them". You took my money, destroyed my nails, dismissed me, and were rude. I will call them for you. Longer story short, I received rude Asian vibes. They treated me like I was a black girl that didn't deserve respect. And at the first sign of me asserting myself and demanding my respect he resorted to calling the police. This encounter reeked of Anti-Blackness. It's sad because we spend so much money on Asian businesses. Summary- If you have pride in your culture as a black person and demand respect where and with whom you spend your dollar- DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. read more

I will ONLY recommend her to all my friends. My eyelashes look very natural and flirty. Just what I asked for. I will get fill in every 2 weeks. Establish was very clean. I'm tired of going to nail salons and having inconsistent experiences. When they finally do my nails they want to rush through them. And when they have me waiting they want to be on their phone. I came in and set an appointment for a pedicure and fill-in at 2:45. Came back at 2:45, waited for 10 minutes and was then placed in the pedicure water for another 20 mins before anyone came over. Opi started doing my toes and said hang on one second..... He walked out the door and over to the Chinese restaurant next door, came back with his food and walked past me to the back. HE SAT IN THE BACK EATING HIS FOOD IN THE MIDDLE OF MY PEDICURE. Literally the other workers had to call his name for him to run out chewing food and washing his hands and continue my pedicure. Overall, the salon is clean and the staff is polite. However, if you want anything outside of the basic SNS or gel polish, your options are limited here. I came in for an appointment wanting SNS ombré or even a simple design with colored lines and after being shown design samples, talking about what I wanted, pictures on my phone, colors etc...I was told that he didn't do any designs, only plain nails. I opted to just soak my nails off and left with nothing done. I proceeded to get my pedicure and that had to be done twice because of sloppy work. I was told that it was the thin polish but if that's the case tell me and don't finish completely then try to push off bad work. The owner corrected this and did them over for me. All in all, apparently only one person in the whole salon can (or isn't too lazy to) do anything creative or unique to your nails so I wouldn't suggest going if you want something trendy/ different. read more
