Absolutely loved my session with Job today. I've been coming to Lagree on & off for a while now- and it's definitely whipped me back into shape. All instructors have been great so far but my class today with Job specifically was phenomenal. He really paid attention to my form- which I struggle with. He kept coming back to me and positioning me. I noticed he spent a good amount of time walking around the room and making sure everyone was getting the best work-out. He didn't just stay in a corner and yell out next steps- he physically helped me get into the perfect form. This means a lot for me because I know that is hard to balance with a full class- but also shows me he truly cares as an instructor. On top of that his energy was great & consistent. Definitely will try to optimize for more classes with him. (: read more

This place is great! I am so much stronger (going for about a year and a half) and the instructors are so encouraging.

I've done a couple of classes now and I can already feel an improvement on my overall strength! I definitely recommend giving it these classes a try, especially if you are someone who needs to be told what to do while exercising. Or are just simply looking to try someone different that can get you sweating every time in just 40 mins! I have loved all the instructors that I've been too so far, who are Judith, Juliana and Tim! They are all great at giving instructions, demos, and encouragement! :) read more

Kat deserves 5 glowing stars and much more! She is the best instructor I've known who is full of heart and passion for what she does. Teaching, living and BREATHING lagree is part of who she is and this clearly shows in her dedication to this studio. Her talent for connecting with people from the start is refreshing and a much needed welcome for me when I returned to the workout, 4 months post partum. That mom life really gets to you, and my respite is SMUV and seeing Kat. So, what's the lowdown? is the workout expensive? is it trendy? does it REALLY work? SMUV's webiste is chockfull of information and whatever you don't find there, you can easily DM @smuvlagreefitness and you'll quickly get a response. In my experience, I find that this is the workout that is so efficient and targets those slow twitch muscles which keeps you burning calories waaaay after those 40 minutes are done. I've kept up with lagree throughout my pregnancy and come back to it about once a week now since the baby (so hard to find time!!) but I've been hooked onto lagree since 2015 and 5 years into the workout, I'm still challenged and humbled, EACH. AND EVERY. TIME. Of course, it helps having an amazing instructor to guide you in your fitness journey and this I've found, specifically with Kat's style. You're a first timer? don't fear. You just need to have an open mind, a good balance ;-) and listen to the cues. It'll take a few classes to get used to the megaformer. I moved to the South Bay knowing I'd have to say goodbye to my favorite lagree studio in SF, but was ecstatic to find SMUV. I can't wait until my next workout again. read more

Recently switched from Pilates to the megaformer and I'm hooked! Great workout and instructors, super fun vibe and even better results! Highly recommend. read more

Taking Lagree for the first time was at LFBA and it's been great. So far I've done 15 classes. I've taken Judith's classes, mostly Upper Body. Definitely challenging since I'm not the best at working out arms & this class works you out to the max. I do feel the improvement and notice I am feeling stronger in my arms. Every class leaves me dripping sweat & I look forward to learning more and working more on being slow and controlled. Definitely recommend if you're looking into trying Lagree. The instructors are great and help you along the way. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect initially! I just knew a friend of mine who took classes in Fremont Studio. Since I live in San Jose I tried the San Jose studio. To be fair, I wasn't impressed with the location by my first impression. But that was irrelevant because the studio is great. The studio is very clean and have wonderful trainers. I had the intro class and I can't remember one trainer I had a negative interaction with. I recommend for sure! I always feel happy after a class! read more

Facebook and Instagram totally targets what you're interested in. So I saw an ad for free classes for SMÜV a couple days ago and was super excited that it was nearby. I've been wanting to try another Lagree Fitness class and jumped at the chance to try it. In short, if you want a intense burn with slow movements that target all your muscles in just 40 minutes...this is your thing. It's good for beginners to advanced folks from all walks of life. Katrina and Stephen are a lovely couple so support your local studios folks! L O C A T I O N Located in one of the plazas on the corner of Berryessa and Lundy. It's basically right behind the plaza with Tocotoco tea and in the plaza diagonally across from 7Leaves (see what I did there...boba geographic locations people...). S T U D I O It's a small space that fits 10 megaformer machines and basically that's it. There's not a locker room but there are cubbies to place your belongings and restroom and a mini lounge room in the back. They have towels so you don't have to bring your own and a water bottle fill up station. There's a full length walled mirror on all of the walls which is great. The sound system and music was also encouraging as you're trying not to collapse into a puddle. Katrina has been teaching this format for 3 years and recently moved down from Alameda with her hubby. She then decided to start up her own studio which is fantastic as there's no close by Lagree Fitness studios out here aside from the one in Menlo Park that I know about. W O R K O U T It's 40 minutes long but you wish it were shorter after the first 10 seconds. You'll need barre/yoga/grippy socks (get them at Ross/Marshalls, they're cheap) or you can buy them at the place as they do sell them there for I believe $10. Katrina works your right leg first, then up the body meaning booty, abs, then upper body...then balances it out on the left side. The machine is pretty straight forward but you do need to come in 3 minutes early to learn how to use it otherwise they will turn you away for safety precaution. There are stability props if you need it. The movements are straight forward but you will need to really focus on your muscle movements. Slow and focused and trying to not workout the incorrect muscle. Then there are the inch pulses or sliding up and down. Boy were my muscles crying...in a good way. Katrina's a great instructor. She helps correct form, cues the movements in auditory, visual and kinesthetic manner and again the music really helps. O V E R A L L I am ready to sign up for classes all week as it's free until May 12th...then I might have to see how much I love the format as it is a bit on the pricey side in terms of monthly payments ($199 or $179) but hey maybe you'll love it so much and invest in your health! Good luck to Katrina and Stephen on this venture and hope you gain a following as you have one in me! read more

Amazing staff and class routines! I've brought 7+ friends to class with me to this studio in the last 3 months because it's so good!! I started Lagree in 2019 and after 1.5 year of rest, smuv was the perfect place to build myself back up from scratch. It's an amazing feeling to be able to do moves I wasn't able to when I first started, and my neck and shoulder pain have gone away because it helps me stengthen my back muscles. Glutes are a bonus :) Each instructor inspires you every step of the way. Would be amazing to have mirrors on both sides of the studio but overall it's veeery well-kept, clean, and obviously every instructor cares very much! Thank you for all you do! read more

I'm thrilled to have discovered LFBA! It's conveniently located close to home, which makes attending classes so much easier. The instructors are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a supportive and positive environment. I highly recommend LFBA! read more

I love LFBA Studios! I started my Lagree journey earlier this year and I'm so glad I did. Your first class definitely humbles you, but if you stay consistent you will see results. The shakes are so worth it! I feel so much stronger physically and mentally. I typically go to Amy's class on Tuesdays but I've taken other instructors' classes and everyone is amazing. They are all so upbeat and motivating. They're also super welcoming to newbies which is great to see because that is what keeps people coming back for more. They are quick to fix form which is super important to avoid injury. Overall, this is a great Lagree studio with great instructors. The membership rates are very reasonable too. If you're on the fence about Lagree.. don't be! Come to this studio... you'll be so glad you did! read more

You should go! I have been taking classes for about four months now and I love it! It's my low impact and highly sweaty! My core is so much stronger and it helped me lose 20 lbs during my ~*weight-loss journey*~ read more

*LIFE CHANGING SMÜV-MENT* Found this studio in 2019 as I was healing from a car accident earlier that year and it completely changed my body and helped me grow into a stronger version of me than ever before. Kat and the entire studio became like a second home to me and truly shined a light on the path that worked incredibly with my body. Thank you so much for your dedication to craft and loyalty to the whole Smüv family! read more

Got to check out SMÜV for one of their events with Rebel Rise Studios. SMÜV has been on my list of studios to try. There were free classes during their grand opening, but I was out of town. There are 10 megaformers so classes are intimate and you receive feedback which helps you get deeper into that burn. Kat is the owner and I believe she teaches ALL the classes here, just wow. She brings the heat and pushes you to the max. Just when you think you're done, think again. SMÜV is located on Berryessa next to Domino's, in the same plaza as Starbucks. Parking wasn't a problem in the morning, but may get a little crowded in the evenings. Love the layout and there's a cozy lounge in the back where we hungout after class. Towels are provided, there are cubbies for your belongings, and they sell Après protein drinks. This might be my favorite Lagree studio in the South Bay! So glad they opened. P.S. Don't forget sticky socks or they have some for sale. Lots of fun events so check out their calendar. Would be down for lagree + boba. read more

Came here for my first lagree class with Kat and the class really kicked my butt! I've taken a pilates class once using the reformers before taking this lagree class and I'm a much bigger fan of this class. Each movement is done really slowly and really targeting a specific muscle group. I really felt the burn as I did each exercise! I was also amazed at how much I was sweating doing each one of these exercises - a good indicator that my body is getting challenged with the workout. I also appreciated that Kat would correct my posture if I did a move incorrectly. Overall, really enjoyed the class. I'm hoping to add more of these lagree classes into my workout routine. read more

Smuv has been one of my favorite lagree studios to date! I also haven't been the ideal pilates goer (sometimes missing classes and arriving late) but Kat and her team have been nothing but responsive, professional, kind, and understanding! The classes themselves are fantastic, they're broken out into skill level but they're all kickass workouts. This is my favorite way to start my weekend or wrap up my weekdays. All the instructors also have infectious energy and are all knowledgeable and sweet. I will say these workouts have a faster pace than some of the other lagree studios in the bay. Other pros are that there is always parking and parking is free, we love that for us. If you're thinking about trying a class this is your sign to just go! read more

I was looking for a place to change up my workouts and have found the spot! This is a great workout and if you're on a time crunch it definitely gives you a full burn for 40 minutes. read more

Every instructor has been amazing! They challenge you based on your level and come to you to correct your form

When I moved away from my favorite barre studio a couple years ago, I wanted to find a workout/gym that would motivate me and make me look forward to working out again. A regular gym membership was fine, but I lacked consistency and accountability. There weren't any barre studios nearby so I started looking to try pilates. LFBA popped up in my search as a related type of workout class among other studios and I signed up to do an intro class. Here's where LFBA immediately set themselves apart in my experience. The other studios where I happened to set up intro/trial classes cancelled on me with no notice, no follow up, not sure if it was because it was a trial class, not enough enrollment, other issues but no one even reached out to try and reschedule. I did my intro class at LFBA and my first Lagree session was intense! I was heavy breathing (lol) at the end of a fundamentals class. They also followed up with me after class to inform me about an offer for new members etc. and even took the time to tell me more about Lagree, their studio, different classes. I started traveling for work for a few months but remembered how challenged I was by LFBA, so I reached back out months later to use the offer (if I still could, even though it had been months since my trial). They honored it and were very responsive and supportive throughout the process. I've been to a number of classes now with a bunch of different instructors and everyone has been so kind, welcoming, and supportive in my journey with Lagree. The customer service here is SUPERB! The instructors are all so fun and know how to challenge you. The workouts are always different enough that if I go multiple times a week I'm often sore in different places each time. The workouts are low impact, which is great (I have bad knees) and even the other members are super supportive and helpful if they notice you need help or are newer. I'm so thankful I stumbled upon LFBA and am so grateful to have found a place that makes me look forward to my workouts and holds me accountable! read more

Love the burn you get from each workout and the instructors are so nice and encouraging!

Love Sharon's classes! I make it a point to make it out to her Sunday morning class since I can't wake up at 6:30 am on weekdays lol. Those deadlifts always kick me in the butt but I always love how challenging her classes are! Sharon's explanations are clear and she always makes sure we're pushing ourselves to our very best. read more

Lagree not pilates! Started lagree about a year ago and tried so many studios until I committed to a membership at LFBA. After my first time here, I was sweating the entire 40 minutes. Although a 40 minute workout seems short, the trainers here push and motivate you the entire way. I've also introduced my friends and family to this new workout class and they were instantly humbled. Starting out, the moves were confusing but the trainers here are knowledgeable and help adjust your body to target the right muscle. The machine can be intimidating but as long as you follow the instructor's directions, you'll be good to go. Overall, LFBA is a fantastic studio and always playing fire playlists :) read more

Note: was a visiting client. Clean studio, super friendly instructors who demo the moves on machines with you to make sure you know what you're doing, and well-maintained machines. You can also get your first class free to try this place out. The only reason why I took off one star is because I felt the routines were a bit easy. It could be because I didn't take the fire (I think that's what it's called) class because I'm a pretty seasoned Lagree-goer, but that's because I didn't know what to expect for my first time and felt the general class should be fine. I think the routines could be written with a better sequence of moves so that the transitions could be smoother or heavier springs for a challenge. Or the instructors could tell you which springs to be on if you want to push yourself. read more

I took my first class with Nicolina today and it was amazing! I was nervous to take this class at first but I am so glad I was able to step out of my comfort zone and push myself. Nicolina was an amazing instructor and was very encouraging! She helped me with my form and corrected me if I was doing something wrong. I wish I found this studio earlier! I can't wait to take more classes in the future. read more

Wonderful classes! The instructors are really knowledgeable and take time to help with formation. Great workout!

LFBA is where I first started lagree three years ago, and though I have moved to Southern California since, I religiously come to take classes here anytime I am back in the Bay. I love all the instructors and how they acknowledge you by name during the class to keep you motivated. It is an amazing workout and overall vibes are so fun. Only thing I would change is to increase the music by like 2 notches, but other than that... perfect place and perfect people! read more

Visited from out of town to take a class here and loved it so much! Kat was an awesome instructor, and I'm so bummed she isn't my instructor at my home studio :(( I'm fairly new to Lagree but have taken about 5 classes prior to this one. The class I did here with Kat was my toughest one and I loved (and struggled) every minute. 100% going to recommend this class to all my friends! read more

Love this Lagree studio! The place is always clean and the teachers are super nice. Classes fit into my schedule easily. If you're looking to try Lagree, definitely check this place out! read more

Kat killed me, in a good way! I pretty much died (it didn't help that I haven't worked out for 6 months) but Kat really knows how to get your muscles to scream even if you aren't a slob like me. I will be going back for sure once I can actually move again. Kat was really good with her energy throughout the work-out, explanations, and motivating us to push us past our limits. It's so wonderful to see an independent business owner who is filling a void in this area. Studio is new, clean, bright and airy. Don't wait and go check out this place. I love the Lagree method! This place is on Classpass if you want to check it out through that membership. read more

I'm hitting one year with SMUV next month and it's the only place I've worked out at consistently for this long. I love love love that it's only a 40 min class that makes me feel like I've done so much. All the instructors are great, especially Richelle G. who I I take almost every class with (because it works with my schedule but I also love her!). I became a member quickly after my first few classes and haven't looked back since. These classes really challenge me in the best way possible and I feel stronger after every session. Can't wait to see what's in store at SMUV this year! read more

I've been doing Lagree for a few years now and have fallen in love with the workout. I recently moved to the San Jose area during the pandemic so I was very excited when I found out this studio was reopening. My first class was with Richelle and her energy was on point! The vibes were right so I signed up for a membership that same day. Toby is an amazing instructor and taking one of Kat's classes (the owner) will leave you feeling incredibly sore, the good sore of course, that's how you know you're getting your money's worth. The studio is clean, well kept, and is one of the only studios I've ever been to with clean towels you can use for the duration of the class. I've always had to pay for a towel which I always seem to forget when I go to workout. You'll love the workout, the atmosphere, but most importantly you'll love the instructors as well! read more

Great class! I came here my first time through Classpass yesterday. Toby planned a killer routine, my legs are dying today. Studio is small but very clean. I wish they had wall-to-wall mirrors, I got the one megaformer that doesn't have a mirror in front of it (because of the light switches). Not a big deal, I'm going to come back! read more

SMUV is the best place to work out! Judgment free zone, staff is friendly & space is clean. Toby and Richelle are helpful and provide modifications to the workouts so you can put in 100% effort. The machine is daunting at first, but Toby and Richelle help you navigate each step so you become stronger at the end of each workout. Highly recommended for all, no matter where you are in your fitness journey! First class is free so give it a try read more

I've been attending LFBA Studios for well over a month now and my body is transforming for the better. Not only do I feel I'm starting to look great, but feel great as well. I'm stretching out muscles and parts of my body I never have in other exercise programs I've taken. Not only do you exercise every muscle in lagree fitness but you also strengthen and tone every part of your body. I enjoy going to LFBA during the weekday because I enjoy taking Job's classes. Not only does he have a kind and energetic personality, but plays great music to workout too as well. If you want your body to transform for the better try LFBA Studios. read more

SMUV changed my life. I first tried Lagree at SMUV back in 2019 and was so intimidated and it was so hard, I made excuses not to continue. But could not stop thinking about the Megareformer and was mad that I was SO bad at it. Come 2020, all gyms are closed and I could not stop thinking/mad about Lagree so I wrote Kat and started my Lagree journey. I met with Kat 3 to 4 times a week for private sessions and at first, I thought about quitting every session but I fought my negative inner thoughts and stuck with it. Fast forward today, I am not only continuing my privates but I've added a few group classes a week. Lagree was extra difficult for me because I had surgery which left me not being able to feel my lower abs, super curved lower back and scoliosis. It does not get easier but I am getting better and my core is strongest it has ever been. Lagree has also helped me mentally to focus on being present. At first, I cussed through out the whole 40 minutes (in my mind) then I started to tell myself I can do it now I find myself focused on my form and challenging myself to do better. Kat is not an easy teacher but she is LAGREE. She pushes me every single session and kills me everytime she counts down super slow or holds her count down when I take a break. Kat is calm with her mannerism and precise with her instructions and scary when you want to give up. Gabby is sweet and fun. She teaches with detail instructions and helps kindly and does it with full heart. Studio has plenty of parking and clean and has 10 machines which is small enough where you will get the attention you need. Lagree changed my body and mind, you should give it a try. read more

I love this studio!! I've never heard of lagree before but gave it a shot since I live close to the studio. I've taken 9 classes so far and don't see myself stopping any time soon. I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

Yay SMUV is back open for indoor classes! Temp is taken when you arrive, masks are also available in case you forgot. I love that they keep the variety and also love that the class size is small enough that the instructors can give you personal attention.
