Re-done gel nails.
Emily J.

After gel polish started coming off after having it only 3 days, they were gracious to re-do it at no charge. Nails look great and feel like they are more durable! Very nice people and affordable prices.

Still looking good two weeks after my pedicure!

I was WAY overdue for a pedicure but hadn't had time with work and everything else to get an appointment. After trying two other places to get in and them telling me nothing was available during my open windows of time I tried Lexi Nails as a walk in. I was greeted right away and able to get a pedicure immediately. The man who gave me my pedicure did a great job. I had the foot and leg mask as well as the scrub which was something new for me. He was thorough but not too aggressive with the tools. I had foot surgery last September so I was a little worried how it would feel but nothing was uncomfortable and my toes look so cute now!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! they are very fast and just want to get you in and out and not care about quality. My cuticles aren't even clean, and they're uneven. My friend got her nails done and they didn't even do a 2nd coat. Both of our manicures started peeling as soon as we left because the gel wasn't even set.

My nails were originally coffin shape when I came in and she pretty much filed them into a square shape

I had been here once before and didn't feel too disappointed by my nails, the girl did a good job but was very aggressive about talking you into gel. I gave it another shot just because it's close to my house and I am pretty disappointed. First of all, they charge $35 for a fill w/ gel which I suppose is average but I might as well have got a new a full set. Secondly, the lady with glasses helped me and she was very clearly trying to finish as fast as she could. She cut me with the electronic file twice, didn't even measure if my nails were even after filing and did a sloppy job with the fill and clear coat. It's really frustrating to pay $40 and not be happy with your nails.

I came in for a regular manicure, it was nothing special but I picked a dark color to be safe due to the reviews. As soon as I walked in I was greeted- it was a Tuesday evening so not too busy- and was asked to pick a color. Salon seemed nice in appearance and had a wide selection of colors, not many OPI though. Water was cold where I soaked my hands, and I told her and she offered to have it warmer but it was ok. She worked on my hands, I get regular manicures so they're always pretty clean and nails are tamed for the most part. She wrapped things up and I sat to dry them. Overall it was a good experience, I'll likely return due to how close they are to my house and I require very little when I go to nail salons. Wish she spent more time with the massage as well. Ellen was on tv, which could have influenced this review since I love her show, I was instantly in a happier mood.

When I refuse The full set because of this horrible shape they told me to leave the shop like this!!!!

I'm notorious for waiting till a nail is badly chipped and my manicure is so banged up that I can't possibly go another day without getting them done. After the nail place by my house was too busy and told me to come back tomorrow, I looked for the next closest one. They quickly fit me in! As I was getting my usual powder dip nail stuff soaked off, Monica started telling me about a liquid Gel that they had, suggesting that it would be much healthier for my nails being that it doesn't have to be removed each time, but Field like or acrylic nails are done. The powder dip is the only thing that has lasted on my nails, Gel nail polish rarely lasts a week for this and chronic handwashing girl! With the liquid gel stuff, I can pick any mail color available. That opened a huge selection of choices for me and I love being extra picky about what color goes on my nails each time! Not only was Monica sweet and cool about me being extra picky about my nail shape, and they turned out absolutely beautiful and I even hesitated putting a color on at all! It looks so natural in both shape and color after she put the liquid gel on them. I think this is by far the best my "natural" nails have looked from any salon so far!! I'm looking forward to seeing how they last and the condition of my nails with this stuff versus powder dip. I'll definitely be back! FYI- she said Monday through Wednesday or her slower days.

There is a little shop in the front where they sell both Aromic Polish products and other locally made items, such as felted items and jewelry. It's a perfect spot to find gifts. And the prices are beyond reasonable for small batch polishes at $10-13 a bottle: Toward the back is a nail polish bar where you can create your own custom polishes! The setup was clean and organized- you get your own tray with bottles, mixers, brushes, etc. It was such a unique and fun experience and i had an absolutely blast with my girlfriends! It felt like art class - you get to mix colors until you find the perfect shade and then add in fun sparkles if you want! Can't wait to go back and I highly recommend Atomic Polish for a future girls' night activity!

Despite the fact that I live in SW Mpls, I love coming here for my hair appointments! First off,…read moreNatalie is amazing. She does a great job of listening to what I need, understanding the complexities of my hair, and executing a haircut that I LOVE. The salon overall is also lovely! It's a beautiful space, they throw fun events, and it has a designated parking lot (score!!). Their online scheduling tool is really easy to use, and they carry great product lines (but aren't pushy about them). Honestly, one of the best things about Gem is that Revival is across the street! I always try to make a day of it when I have a hair appointment, enjoying a delicious solo lunch or dinner across the street after getting a fresh cut.

My experience was disappointing from beginning to end. The first stylist didn't take the time to communicate clearly about my haircut or make sure we were on the same page. I left with a haircut I wasn't happy with and feeling like the experience itself wasn't important. After contacting the salon, I met with the owner for a consultation. While she made some adjustments, the entire appointment was awkward. She barely spoke, so I found myself trying to carry the conversation just to break the silence. She didn't seem interested in building any rapport or making me feel comfortable. Near the end, she interrupted me while I was still talking, ended the appointment, and sent me on my way. I left feeling dismissed rather than cared for. The salon advertises itself as welcoming and experienced with diverse hair types, but my experience didn't reflect that level of customer care. I never felt listened to, valued, or genuinely welcomed. Every interaction felt like an obligation instead of someone who enjoys their work and wants clients to come back. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I think people should know that customer service here was just as disappointing as the haircut. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this salon based on my experience.

The signage and space is colorful and quirky. I don't know about you, but I'm personally into the aesthetic of bedazzled skulls and pops of bright color with gothic accents. I appreciated that I was able to easily make an appointment online since I'm a good ol' millennial that hates actually talking on the phone, and their online system is intuitive and reliable. I just went in to lob off several inches of my hair and because I had a mid-winter crisis of wanting to get bangs. I have a lot of allergies/sensitivities, and I loved that the stylists checked the ingredients of every product before using them in a very friendly helpful manner. My hair cut service was efficient and reasonably priced, albeit it was a little shorter than I had wanted. But hey, hair grows back!
