From the dry ass bread to the inhospitable staff, this place sucks
    Phil M.

I was excited to try Levinsky and chose it over another nearby option, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The service felt unfriendly and, at times, outright rude. Hospitality goes a long way, especially when customers are choosing to support a local business, and that was noticeably lacking during my visit. The food was equally disappointing. I ordered a tuna sandwich that tasted as though it had been made from basic canned tuna with very little attention to quality or preparation. The bread was both dry and oddly soggy at the same time, making the sandwich unpleasant to eat. In fact, I didn't even finish the meal. It also did not have the advertised ingredients on the sandwich. My sandwich ended up costing nearly $20 after tip, yet it was roughly half the size of what I would expect from a comparable sandwich shop. Given the price point, I expected significantly better quality and value. I was also surprised by the condition of the courtyard, which appeared dirty and poorly maintained. Combined with the service and food quality, the disgusting overflowing bathroom the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this establishment. There are plenty of other options nearby that offer better food, better value, and a more enjoyable customer experience.

Great food and service. Plenty of parking on the street. Ordered the tuna sandwich was very yummy. Greek salad was simple and okay. The shakshuka was pretty yummy too got my eggs over hard. Service is very good and very friendly. Will Definitely go again.

This place melts my heart, brings back memories having delicious Burkeas in Tel Aviv. First time this afternoon venturing into this adorable coffee shop. We ordered two Burkeas one Potato and one cheese. Awww the best Burkeas in LA hands down! Definitely will be back! This is a gem.

I tried their burekas and also got the iced latte. I like both types of the cheese burekas and the iced latte. I definitely would come back for brunch. They have seating inside and outside. Only con is parking which can be tough in this area.

Amazing place, authentic flavors of Israel food. Must try. Came with girlfriends to try it and really liked it.

Super cute new Israeli spot. I ordered a few things to try, everything was great but pretty pricey. I really enjoyed the froyo and how I could blend in my favorite ingredients. I was shocked it was $18 but it was delicious. Also really enjoyed the frozen coffee. I recommend doing half mocha and half coffee.

Delicious burekas and excellent coffee. Presentation is adorable even for to go orders. I've never seen coffee packaged this way at a restaurant but it did not disappoint. Adding Levinsky to my Uber Eats rotation at work.

Israeli frozen yogurt, ruggalah, cloud 8 latte, and shakshuka--all really delicious!! We will be back!

You can genuinely taste the difference here because everything is made fresh to order with real ingredients. None of the artificial, overly sweet stuff you get at chain smoothie places. I love that they don't add sugar, so the natural flavors of the fruit actually shine through. Every smoothie I've had has been consistently delicious. The owner is also one of the sweetest people you'll meet. He's been running this little shop for years, and you can tell how much love and care goes into everything they make. It's the kind of small family-owned business that makes Melrose feel special, and I always leave happier than when I walked in. If you're shopping on Melrose, skip the big chains and stop here instead. Great smoothies, fresh ingredients, kind people, and supporting a local mom-and-pop business is always a win. I recommend this place to everyone!

Melrose Squeeze absolutely exceeded expectations…read more We stopped in after a morning out in Los Angeles hiking Runyon Canyon and were blown away. The smoothies were some of the best I've had in LA -- incredibly fresh, balanced, and flavorful. We tried the Tony Special, the Melrose Special, and the Coconut Cardamom, and each one was fantastic in its own way. What made the experience even better was the service. Vahe, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. He made us feel right at home and clearly takes pride in what he serves, giving us a few free samples of his favorite items! We also had wheatgrass shots for our friend Nando's mother, who is visiting Los Angeles from Portugal for the first time -- and it was such a fun, memorable experience for her. Fresh ingredients, amazing smoothies, and exceptional hospitality. We'll absolutely be back.

literally my fav place for over 12 years now!…read more the smoothies are consistent and amazing and the staff is super helpful/ knowledgeable recently I thought I was coming down with something wasn't able to stop at home before a call and I told them my symptoms and they gave my a one time packet of magnesium and some type of probiotic. I walked here yesterday morning for an Acai bowl, really looking forward to it…read more The environment is clean and reminded me of a Pharmaca, but holy crap the music was LOUD. No one said hello to me when I walked in despite there being no other customers. The man behind the desk watched me read the menu and served someone else who knew what they wanted. No problem. I said hello, how are you when I stepped up but he didn't respond, waiting to take my order. (No one behind me but I got the message this guy doesn't do small talk.) So, I ordered an Acai bowl and I'm pretty sure I paid $2.50 extra for peanut butter on the top. I asked if I could have the bowl to go to which he responded with an air of annoyance that all the plastic bowls have lids. "Do you have bags?" I asked. "I'm walking," I explained. "Yes we have bags but you have to ask us for them when your order is done because when we just give them people change their mind and stay." Ummmm ok there is no line, I already know I'm not staying cause this bad music is too loud and I'm not into night club decibel music at 9 am but cool cool cool. Acai bowl is ready in a few minutes and the lovely young woman asks if I want a bag. Yes please, I'm walking. Bye. I walk all the way home and open the bowl to realize I've been duped. I have paid $17.00 plus a small tip ( he was after all, rude) for a bowl of Acai. There is one blueberry, a few slices of banana, no shredded coconut to speak of, about a tablespoon of granola (I asked for half) and the worst offense of all- the most meager drizzle of peanut butter they should have just not bothered. I'm not even sure what else this was supposed to have in it because all I did was eat and taste Acai. And did I really pay extra for a teaspoon of peanut butter? I know the rent here must be insane but sheesh, how about serving a decent Acai bowl to justify the price. Put the ingredients advertised in it please. Thanks.

I went with a couple of friends for dinner- we were around the area and thought it was an opportune time to show them a place they weren't familiar with! I've been here since I was a kid, and though some things changed, alot hasn't! This was during a world cup game, so it was very lively at pub areas as they were broadcasting live. Everyone was so invested, from the patrons, chefs, servers, and even line cooks! Went to a stall selling the 'best corned beef sandwich' from Magee's kitchen. The servers and cook were super nice and the corned beef on display made my mouth water! It was very good, and paired with their blood orange soda, wasn't too heavy! It was a big enough sandwich that I took the other half home! I also got a cornbread muffin from Gumbo pot- which was good but a little dry. There's plenty of shade, though the area is mostly outdoors- lots of trees and buildings with covers and awnings. There's a fancy French market in there and plenty of eating options (though open hours vary). Come by this historic stop, walk through the Grove, and enjoy the hustle and bustle!
