After knowing about Fabiola for a few years, I decided to take my puppy to one of her new FREE group training classes. Before I dive into this review, I will say- I am a dog trainer and have been for years. It's always fun to go to a different trainer with your own dog to learn new tips, tricks, and see different techniques! I LOVE Fabiola's handling and her connection with every dog (and person) she meets. Now I'll dive into my review. We started off with a Tuesday morning group class, focusing on having our dogs in a calm state of mind while around lots of distractions and other dogs. My silken windhound puppy, Vulcan, is more of an advanced level but I wanted to work on more of his engagement. Fabiola gave wonderful feedback to the whole group about this. We had a great time and Vulcan did so well! One thing I really loved during this class is Fabiola's observations- she is able to quickly assess which teams need a little more assistance and provides them with it. The next couple of classes we did were the free Sunday group training classes. I really loved the pack walk aspect to this training because I was able to work on loose leash walking in a new environment around other dogs and real world situations. For all of the classes I've attended, I've only seen happy humans at the end of the class. Every dog has made progress- even what may seem like a small victory to others. It's lovely to see a knowledgeable trainer make people feel like they're not alone in their training journey. The dogs are also happy and tired at the end of the training classes. Providing a free class is SO awesome and I wish more of the community knew about this class! Having a dog can be tough so it's nice to see Fabiola make everyone feel seen and feel special.
