Another picture after her grooming appointment

Other than them keeping my dog almost all day. I don't understand why they keep her all day out of the seven years. I've been going to there. They do a great job. Yeah there's been a couple of times. I wasn't happy with the way her grooming appointment went, but other than thathad good grooming with them Thanks, Pennys, mommy

We love workindoggz! Emi my Pomsky is a regular here due to my busy work schedule, and we also come here for training and grooming. It's a one stop shop! The owners are so sweet and Ria is a great trainer too! Love how they send report cards and pictures.

    The best teacher assistant, Corky!

*TRAINING REVIEW ONLY* We moved to Hayward January of this year and one of our neighbors recommended Workindoggz after we got our Mini Goldendoodle puppy. We looked them up and saw they provided a lot of services and were close by. We started with their Group Training that included 5 classes for $250. They were 1 hour long each and once a week. Our trainer was Ria and she was hands down amazing! Call her a dog whisperer or something but she helped us so much with obedience training and her little teacher assistant, Corky, joined too to help supervise! Our class only had 2 other dogs including ours so it was perfect and helped the pups not only socialize but also focus. Ria was super accommodating too on some of the weeks we were unable to attend and she would work with us to reschedule. Sure, you can watch Youtube videos and train at home, but I highly recommend joining a puppy school to help with distractions, learn to play with other puppies, and get lots of tips from the trainer on YOUR training as an owner. There were some things we never noticed unless Ria pointed them out and she was right every single time. If you're in the area, definitely check out Workindoggz - they also have doggy daycare and grooming services (we just booked our first one this Saturday!). Check them out on IG: @workindoggz @larezabaytrainer @hangrypringles

They were blaming for puss from his schnauzer mole. As you can see, they are in far apart and the mole is not swollen but the new cut is.

If I could give zero star, I would. This review is for grooming. My dog, Boogey has been with Top Dog, now changed to Workindoggz since he was baby. He was loyal client with recurring appointments ever since. We decided to stay with them even after they changed the new owner. I got a call yesterday in the late afternoon to reschedule apt. since the groomer wouldn't be in for Saturday. I rescheduled for today since Boogey will be going on a road trip vacation with us next week. I confirmed that it would be with his regular groomer for today. Dropped him off and expecting to pick him up like usual time. This is where the horror happened. Boogey came out with bloody near his ear. They said that he was moving when the groomer was clipping with scissors so they accidentally cut him. I looked at the area and I was like why it looks way too swollen. Bulky big! They said he was scratching it after the cut. The wound was still bleeding so they took him back to the room in the attempt to clean that area again. Are you expecting me to take him home in that condition? And why you didn't say anything when you call for me to pick him up. The managers came and talked to me. They blamed it on my dog because they said there was pus coming out as it was draining and their bathing may have make the wound open. As I explained to them, it was not true. I checked my dog before every grooming apts to make sure he didn't have any open wound. Because my dog has lot of schnauzer bumps/moles, I even shaved the areas around to make sure the groomer saw these bumps so they won't run them over. And obviously, before today apt, Boogey doesn't have any open wound nor he has any pus hiding underneath the skin per their accusation. Then, I asked them again, so why they were saying my dog got cut while moving his head, etc.. They said it was miscommunicated. Lying again! 2 stories got switched up in short amount of time. They acted like they cared and told me oh you would need to bring my dog to the vet to get checked up but it's not their fault. My heart feels very heavy looking at my baby bleeding and these people are trying to deny the fact they got my dog hurt and not taking responsibility of owning their mistakes. I left there not paying and cancelled all my recurring apts. The cut was deep that his wound won't stop bleeding. I put some bandage over him, hopefully he will heal soon. They won't even offer to pay for his vet visit either. Pet Parents: if you care about your dog, go somewhere esle. If you go here, once they hurt your dog, they will blame it on something else.

My dog is my world and I have been looking for an attentive and caring facility to help socialize and train my girl. I tried other options, but Workindoggz is clearly a great establishment. We signed up for 1:1 training and so far the consultation with Ria was tailored and informative. Will update once we complete the first session. Since we want to socialize our 7 month pitbull, we signed her up for day care and a hike. I loved that they gave us a report card with photos and videos of her experience. Will definitely continue to use this service. Also the owner, Cody, is super down to earth and kind. They're doing great work here!

This place is a little hard to find because there are other pet services around. Easy street parking! DRI was the lovely employee that groomed my pug, she was so sweet and knew how to take care of him! The front desk staff was also very kind. I'll be booking with them again!

His beautiful coat prior to unacceptable and not agreed to shaving.

Im really concerned about the professionalism here with the groomer Janet (if that's how you spell her name) we already contacted the business to express our concerns but it doesn't change the fact that my mom was charged for a blowout etc. for one of our dogs when we received him almost completely shaved. My mom clearly said no to shaving when Janet called my mom about my dogs hair being too thick and knotty for a brush blow out. Janet continued to try to convince my mom that shaving was needed to be done even after my mom kept saying no. Janet even said she started shaving my dog before she even got in contact with my mom for permission!! First of all when they showed us my dogs shaved hair it wasn't even matted, it was clearly his undercoat for the winter. Also Janet only mentioned she will do partial shaving of his stomach and butt area (which I did not agree to but my mom's "no" kept being ignored and Janet told my mom something completely different) NOT his tail, legs, neck, behind ears, basically almost his complete body. Also we take him here all the time and we always receive the same comment of his hair being super thick but they still get the job done and NEVER offer to shave. His legs, neck, chest, and other areas are not even matted when we brush him at home So I don't understand why Janet think it was okay to shave areas where there wasn't a concern. She convinced my mom to shave because of skin issues with matting but my dog is a husky malamute mix and if you were to search up the breed of my dog you will see that their coat is naturally thick all year round especially during winter. She also mentioned he had wounds from the matting but Those are clearly from pulling on his hair from shaving. I think if you are going to work as a groomer please do research and learn about the coats of different breeds. I'm just really upset that Janet mistaken my dogs thick undercoat for matting all around his body. We have to deal with my dog suffering in the cold without his fur that is literally naturally like that I mean Hello! They are snow dogs. This worker should had respected our decision as the owner when we clearly said no to shaving in the beginning and not only that but also respected what my mom had only agreed to. It is very rude to return our dog almost completely bald when we did not agree with that and also be more considerate. It is winter time and my dogs need their coat during this time. Not only does my dog suffer but we do too. We worry about him being cold during raining season because he's an outside dog. Also the flies like to mess with him when there is sun out. This just adds more expenses and suffering to the family and my dog. I am just truly upset, I cried when I arrived home because I feel entirely bad for my dog and really upset that this person took complete advantage. This worker will never be allowed to work on my dogs ever again!! Should be more considerate to dog owners when you are grooming them. And again, no means no. Also, my dog is very uncomfortable. You can tell he is very uncomfortable by the way he sits down and walks. I can tell he is suffering without his fur. Very sad about this and disappointed. This worker should be evaluated on her professionalism.

WorkinDoggz is a beautiful facility. The staff that works there is awesome and very transparent. The best part is that they work very closely with Gentle Care Vet next door and have The Top Dog groomers within the facility! We have been bringing our pup Coco (Great Pyrenees/German Shepard) here for the last 5 month and will continue for the unforeseen future. We have told many of our friends about this place and to our surprised a lot of our friends that live locally in Hayward already bring their pups here and all agree how great this place is. I cannot say thank you enough to the staff here always excited to see Coco when we drop her off and the fact Coco NEVER wants to LEAVE when we try to pick her up, its like pulling a child away from the candy store, ultimately great vibe. It also feel that she is more happy at WorkinDoggz than at home sometimes. They also have Adventure Hikes that you can schedule one of the trainers/staff will pick your pup up from your house to take them out to the local trails. Workin Doggz also provide a daily report card whenever your pups stay there for half day or full day that includes photos and videos! I cannot say how amazing to see how happy the pups are in all the photos. Special shot out to Cody and Marie for always being transparent and accommodating for last minute day care scheduling!

I'm writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Yoon at this clinic on…read moreDecember 10th and 11th, following an urgent medical situation with my mini dachshund, Maple -- I believed she had eaten a small hand towel. The day before visiting Gentle Care, Maple was seen at VEG Emergency Vet, where I paid $1,200 for her initial assessment. The ER vet advised that Maple would need one final X-ray the next morning to determine whether surgery was necessary, as she had already vomited and passed pieces of the towel she ingested. Their recommendation was clear, so I brought Maple to Gentle Care on December 10th expecting a simple follow-up and the final imaging. Instead, I encountered inconsistent communication, unclear diagnostic decisions, and fluctuating pricing that made an already stressful situation even harder--especially because I and my family were actively trying to pull together the funds for whatever treatment Maple might need. Accurate, stable estimates were essential so I could understand how to move forward and how my family could help cover the cost of her care. On December 10th, I arrived at 9:30 AM:     *    I was quoted $820 verbally for a full day of diagnostics, including an ultrasound and contrast X-rays.     *    I received no updates until I called at 3:00 PM and was told there was no information yet.     *    When I called again to confirm the cost, the total had increased to $1,100--a $280 increase I did not approve, with no added services beyond the original plan.     *    At pickup, instead of receiving the final X-ray the ER vet recommended, I was told I had to return the next morning before Dr. Yoon could determine whether surgery was necessary. This required me to call out of work at the last minute, which was stressful and disruptive. On December 11th, I returned for the final X-ray (provided at no charge) and paid an additional $360 for blood work and fluids.     *    After reviewing the images, Dr. Yoon presented two possible surgical options--endoscopic removal or direct surgery--but did not provide guidance on which option was best for Maple's condition.     *    I was given a verbal surgery estimate of $4,000.     *    When I asked for a written estimate so I could secure pre-approval from my pet insurance (PetsBest) and request a CareCredit limit increase, the printed estimate suddenly increased to $5,000, without any explanation. * Dr. Yoon also said the surgery could wait another day and that I would have to drive Maple to Danville to the other vets office he works with. The quote I received was from that hospital and not Gentle Care.     *    Dr. Yoon also told me he would only accept my insurance if I could get pre-approval on that estimate, which was not possible. All of this was incredibly difficult to navigate. My family and I were trying everything we could to ensure Maple received the care she needed--we were gathering funds, adjusting schedules, and making decisions in real time. The constant price changes and lack of clear direction made it feel nearly impossible to plan responsibly for her treatment. For context, before even arriving at Gentle Care, I had paid $1,200 at VEG ER. At Gentle Care, I then paid $1,100 on December 10th and another $360 on December 11th. Maple's care was never something I hesitated to pursue; we were simply trying to understand what the actual cost would be so we could pay for it. Given the ER vet's recommendation that Maple only needed a final X-ray--and considering she had already vomited and passed parts of the towel--I now seriously question whether an entire additional day of diagnostics was necessary. Ultimately, I took Maple to Noble Vet, where she received clear recommendations and had her foreign body surgery performed for $3,090.65. My family helped me cover the cost, and the experience there was transparent, supportive, and professional--everything I hoped for from the start. I believe the diagnostics performed at Gentle Care were excessive, delayed Maple's needed surgery, and resulted in inflated and inconsistent charges. I hope the clinic reviews the communication and pricing issues from December 10th and 11th so other pet owners don't face the same confusion during a medical emergency. UPDATE: We unfortunately had to put Maple to sleep on Dec. 14th after she became septic. After speaking with the vet at Noble Vet and VEG in San Ramon I believe the delay in surgery resulted in a more complex and risky surgery. I will be looking for another veterinarian for the remainder of my pets.

We welcome questions and happily available to share our own personal positive stories and experiences after working with iThinkPet since 2016. They are wonderful and Loke and Mocha love them like family. Thanks so much Analyn and Jason! We iThinkPet!
