We finally decided to get Alfie groomed for the very first time since he came from South Korea to America more than two years ago. I reached out to another place, but because they weren't accepting new clients, they recommended Groomed by an Angell. They were very responsive via text. I was able to easily book an appointment for the next day! However, I noticed the weather forecast had rain for the next few days, so thankfully they allowed me to reschedule for the following week without any rescheduling fees. When I dropped Alfie off, Angell asked me what kind of haircut I wanted for him. I asked for a clean look and showed a picture of what he looked like two years ago. About three hours later, they texted and called when he was ready for pickup. Oh my goodness, it's like I had a new dog! Previously, he was very scruffy, with slightly ruff (rough lol) fur. After getting groomed, he was sooo soft, fluffy, handsome, and good smelling! Angell mentioned that Alfie was a bit scared during the process, which I wasn't surprised at. I'm not sure if she downplayed him being difficult but she was kind and did an amazing job on him. The groom cost $105 (before tax and tip) for a medium sized dog (Alfie is 54 lbs). It includes bath, haircut, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland expression. The experience lives up to their name - truly, Alfie was groomed by an angel. We will definitely be back!

My groomer was Alexis, but from what I understand All the groomers here give the same Gentle, Thorough and Professional touch. Angel was clean , convenient in the area, dr $ , parking & she was taught full and help getting out two dogs in & & back into the car . It was becoming hard to find someone to groom Kirby. While he is a super calm, and kind dog, he gets scared and vicious at the Vet and sometimes with the groomer. He can become Kujo really fast at the Vet. Started feeling like we would have to resort to grooming ourselves; We are not gifted in this area. I was referred to Angell Winter of 2022. She is absolutely the best. I know it was a little rough the first visit, but she reassured me she could handle it. He now lets her get his face and really gives him a platinum groom. Groomed by an Angell My handsome boy is so happy! Angell and Kat are in the right business; super friendly with my doggo and listened to my concerns for his grooming experience. Stu has really bad anxiety and hates being put in a kennel, he never had to be caged for his hair cut with Groomed by an Angell. If you live near by, please check them out. Stu was going to a pet store in union city for awhile, he kept getting nicked because he was so nervous from being caged. I'm so happy to say he has a new groomer, he seems to be quite pleased himself with his new groomers. He was even sent home with a cute report card! You have nothing to lose with this place

Angell did an amazing job with my baby for his bath! He's a rescue so I was afraid of how he would do with her but she assured me he was going to be well taken care of. Time has really flown by! 3 years later and we're still very happy with Angell and Qat. They are the best! Our little maltipoo loves them and comes home calm and well groomed. She is well enough behaved that she does not need to be crated when not being worked on, and that makes us feel a lot better about her stay which can be 3-4 hours depending on how busy they get. There's plenty of parking in the neighborhood and it's pedestrian friendly so we can go for walks before or after grooming. If you'd like to wait while your pet gets groomed like we sometimes do, Peet's is down the street and there are lots of places to eat nearby if you're hungry. read more

Called in for a same day appointment for nail trim. She was able to get me in within a couple hours which was really appreciated. About 15-20 minutes and we were done. Not only did they trim but also shaped her nails. Amazing job. Will definitely be back read more

I just wanted to give Groomed By An Angell a Huge shout out ! I needed someone to trim my little girls nails, and I saw a recommendation on next-door so I contacted them. She told me that if I waited until the following week, they do free nail trims on Wednesday. I took her in today, and they trimmed them and did an amazing job. Angell is our FAVORITE groomer! We've tried several groomers in the area, and Angell is by far the best and also great price. Whenever we go to other groomers, we get our pup back and don't even recognize her and they shave her off. but Angell knows how to properly groom and make her still look so cute and extremely soft!! Great place to take your pet, Angell is very accommodating, easy drop off and pick up. I don't know how she does it, my pup comes out like a stud every time! You do have to book your next visit as soon as you pick up your pet, she's popular. But she has been able to book me if I ask if she has any cancellations. Angell was very accommodating to fit my dog into their busy schedule for a nail trimming! I am happy with how the session went and how well his nails were cut. I will be coming back to her for future sessions! She and her sister are friendly and wonderful! This review is long over due Groomed by an Angel is a very special place. My baby is not the calmest dog in most situations. But upon entering the establishment, there is a sense of calm that washes over my honey. During one visit, another owner with a self reported high strung dog said to me "He didn't understand why his dog was always calm when he came here". Do yourself a favor and treat your best friend to the best treatment in the East Bay. read more

Anyone who knows me knows how overprotective I am with my very spoiled dog Gizmo (who thinks he is a baby btw). Angell has been grooming him (trimming fur, nail grinding etc) for 8 years now. I followed her (stalk much lol) from Petsmart Bayfair to Petsmart Dublin East and now to her own shop! Simply because we (Giz n me) love her. I took my sweet baby Athena to get "Groomed by an Angell" She when there very scruffy and came home looking like the Princess she is. They have excellent communication via text - answered all my texts promptly. Athena's spare human dropped her off and picked her up and had nothing but great things to say about their customer service. If your fur baby needs a hair appointment, consider this small local business - I highly recommend!!!!! I'll post a pic once her highness is done with her nap. read more

I have been going to Groomed By An Angell for almost a year now and honestly I am so grateful to have found Angell as a groomer and her friendly/understanding staff! I was recommended to them by cheap shot clinic because they were fully booked and since their recommendation I've stayed with Angell. My boy Rocco tends to be skittish when getting groomed and sadly can be reactive due to past experiences with other dogs and a terrible grooming experience when he was taken once to Petsmart. Since their first ever appointment with Angell almost a year ago, I warned the staff how Rocco can be and they were so understanding and willing to help to make him feel comfortable at every grooming appointment. I've been bringing my 3 pups here for about 2 months now and I'm still at awe at how well they handle all of them. I have an 11.5 yr old smooth haired dachshund that we usually need to hold ourselves while his nails our trimmed, but Angell and her sister (I think) just both have a way with dogs. I was surprised that my lil Grampa dog was calm and they trimmed his nails quickly and well. My 6 yo long haired dachshund is chill so it they are able to do his nails super fast. My 6 month old Pomeranian/shitzhu mix is usually a riot with his puppy energy but aside from teeny whines that were soothed by angell, he did so well for the nail grind and the face trim. By far, the best groomer to handle all of my dogs and they are so nice and welcoming. I think I've finally found my furrever dog groomer! read more

I have 4 small dogs, and one of them is tiny but mighty. Some groomers can't cut her nails. Others won't. The ones who can need to muzzle her and it takes 2 people. Angell got the job done with minimal fuss! I was so impressed. Highly recommend this business for you dogs! read more

We usually call ahead of time to see if drop off is okay, usually it is fine and they can take him right away. We usually take him for a routine grooming session and also when he gets into some naughty business and wants to rub himself in the grass in who knows what but it leaves him smelling very stinky!! No worries tho cuz Claudia gets him smelling so clean and brand new. We usually book a bath, ears, teeth cleaning, nails, trim excessive paw hair. Beagles are prone to ear issues so we always include the ears!! cost is affordable but honestly, finding the perfect place is PRICELESS to us. Our dog seems comfortable being here, and maybe secretly enjoys it because he doesn't get nervous during drop offs anymore LOL We love our doggo so much and love that we found a dog groomer who is reliable, trustworthy, honest, and so friendly to us and Sage our dog. The professionalism and structure they bring is unmatched. They manage their facility much like a children's daycare, every dog is carefully evaluated before being welcomed into the community, vaccinations must be up to date, and safety is clearly their top priority. The facility is incredibly clean, organized, and thoughtfully run. We also love all the extras they offer. From different levels of boarding (the highest tier even includes a special tuck-in and Kong treat!) to dog training, bathing, nail trimming, and their fully engaging playrooms, complete with Dog TV, play structures, bubbles, pool days, and themed activities, it's clear they go above and beyond to make every stay fun and enriching. They even include webcams for us parents to check in on them from time to time! Our doggie Herkules absolutely LOVES his Dogtime family. It is truly his home away from home, and he gets so excited every time we pull into the parking lot. As very particular dog parents, trust means everything to us -- and there is no place we trust more than Dogtime. Tony and Krista have done an incredible job since taking over the business. Sweet girl. One day I booked with Ashley and got to the shop and was told Ashley was sick so someone else did Munchies grooming. I took my dog home and was very disappointed. Just wasn't how my dog usually is groomed. I ended up calling and taking him back a few days later for Ashley to tidy up the cut. Fast forward to last month I made an appointment online on a Friday. When you book online it says REQUEST, WAITING for approval. I made the request on Friday for that Monday appointment. Well, I never heard back, never got a call, did not get a text , nothing. So Monday comes, I assume they couldn't honor my appointment. The shop calls me and tells me if I want to bring Munchie in, ever, I would need to pay for Mondays No show. I explained the situation how I did not get confirmation, no one called so I didn't think they could take him in. After going back and forth and this very rude female butting in to our conversation which they had me on speakerphone, I told the owner Nathan that I couldn't pay 120$ for the missed appointment plus another 140$ for a new appointment. I always tip 20$!!! Nathan tells me, well ok he will just charge me 60$ for Mondays appointment. I explain to him , what it says online when booking, it says request waiting on approval! It does not say confirmed! I have been a customer for years. I always tip. Nathan says no, Munchie cannot come back unless I pay the 60$. He said that I no showed a few times in the past. If that was the case, why was I never charged or this was never mentioned to me. And how can they just make up a No show price of $120? No one has ever said anything to me ever about a no show until this happened. I expected them to consider the thousands of dollars I have paid them over the years. And to consider that besides this incident that was not my fault, I have been a loyal customer! I take my dog to them once a month! Every month! But no, Nathan insisted either I pay for the missed appointment from that Monday or not to ever come back! I think that says a lot about them, and now that I have found MOBILE groomers who come to your home for same price and do a great job, I am happy this happened. Otherwise I would probably have stayed there giving them my money. All in all, Nathan does not value his customers, or this would have been handled differently. I am disappointed my dog means that little to them as a customer and my years of spending my money with them means nothing, but I am happy I moved on to this awesome mobile grooming! It is so nice, so convenient you know your dog is right outside in the van getting groomed. I don't have to wait around all day to see if A Cut Above Grooming is gonna have my dog 2 hours or 4 hours. The shop itself is not clean. There is usually dog poop on the ground outside, that stays there all day from when I drop my dog off, until I pick him up, the same poop is still there. Kinda lame considering there's 4 or 5 workers there sometimes.

I believe if you have a voice mail for your business and someone calls and leaves their information for you to return the call, you would at least return the call and say that your booked and can't accept new clients, please have some courtesy. There for I don't recommend. read more
