Updating my review after a disappointing experience. I've been happy here before, but a recent visit changed that. When I picked up Daisy, the person at the front immediately scolded us about who had cut her hair last, repeatedly asking why we'd gone elsewhere and saying it looked like a family member had done it and it was "terrible". She was laughing about it as she said this. I told her more than once that it wasn't a nice thing to say, but she kept going. Even if it were true, that's not something a customer should be made to feel bad about at pickup, and it's not something to laugh about. When we got home, I noticed several cuts on the bridge of her nose--visibly red and irritated. This wasn't mentioned to us at pickup. It's more noticeable in person than in photos, but it's clearly there. I genuinely liked this place and had recommended it before, but after this experience I won't be returning. I'm looking for a groomer who treats both pets and customers with more care and professionalism. read more

The first time I took Bella I figured I would just get the full service once and then continue with nail trims only (she is short haired so I usually bathe her in our walk in shower). They asked me to send a picture of our dog so they could get a sense of her fur type and size and based on the picture, they recommended the Bath Essentials package and gave us a reasonable estimate. They did a great job - very efficient but communicative drop off experience, and they gave us a clear report of how she did, including some fears she had and how they helped her with them. Best of all, they really are great with pets - our dog was wagging her tail the whole drop off and she is not super accustomed to going to the groomer. read more

He mentioned the business is "new" and as they are still learning to perfect their English, they are a small family business and appreciate any patronage and he believes in their mission. He offered to refund me the discrepancy in payment which I truly appreciate and that's a 10/10 in my customer service book, especially since they did such a good job grooming my pets. ------------------------------------ Original review: My usual groomer had become flaky as of late and my 2 dogs needed a bath ASAP. After calling around I got a quote for my Pug and my Akita. It seemed reasonable and competitive so I went in. What I love is that they have parking. Easy in and easy out. Professional grooming spot, with a receptionist and who I believe is the groomer. They called me a day before to remind me about my appointment and took all my info via text (vaccinations, names of pets, etc.) and I had to fill in an intake form when I got in. I dropped the 2 dogs off at 9am and they were done around noon. I had some things to do so I came to pick them up around 2pm, and my 2 dogs didn't have any signs of distress or any reason why they had a "bad" time, HA. They were groomed well (I opted for the basic bath package) complete with bandannas. Everything seemed to check out except the price -- it was about $85 more than I was anticipating so of course I was shocked at the time. This is fine but I think what I didn't like was that they didn't call me first to confirm a price since I was a first time customer. I guess it was also my fault for not confirming when I dropped them off but they were well aware we were coming in. The receptionist told me that "they didn't know what an Akita was" and that's why the price was much higher. I get it, but I wish they told me first because what I was quoted was way off. I had called them twice before the actual appointment for a quote, noting my dogs' breeds and weights... Thanks anyway! read more

They mentioned that they won't be doing hand stripping for a while until they have an expert at the salon for that type of grooming. Original post: sigh... I hate making this type of review... especially with new business owners. however, it's important than folks know this isn't the best location for hand stripping and my dogs hair cut was so so so bad that now his hair is potentially ruined. my normal groomer at this location moved and instead of letting me know this they had someone who didn't know how to hand strip terrier fur do it. the result... my pup looks liked someone used kid scissors on him. no joke! and they chopped his beard off. for a Scotty this looks kinda crazy! he also has really short eye brows and although I love seeing his cute eyeballs this is not breed standard and definitely not worth the $140 I spent! sad to write this because we've been going to a groomer at this location for 3 years and my pup learned to love going to the groomer here. but all of his besties have moved and the people left behind don't know how to help him look his best. We have always gone to Pet Stylist to get my 40lb Australian Shepherd's nails trimmed. They've always done a great job with her nails and paw pads, and the same can be said with the new owners here! We decided to get the Bathing Essentials package this time, which includes a double shampoo, blow drying, nail trimming, ear/eye cleaning, and tooth brushing, for $75. Unfortunately, this did not include paw pad trimming. The only downside is that we waited 3 hours in total, even though we were told it would only take 1 hour. In the end, she came out super fluffy, clean, and happy. While I cannot attest to their cutting/styling, I would definitely recommend them for bathing and nail trimming! read more

I moved out of San Leandro a year and half ago and live 40 miles away but I still come back here every month to get my three babies pampered! I have been coming here for more than 10 years and they have always treated my dogs with the utmost care, gentleness and love.
