Uncle Pawpaw's daycare is amazing! I dropped off my dog, Enoki (2nd dog to the left), to daycare today and he loved it! He was so scared at first but literally 15 mins after I left, his team sent me a video of Enoki socializing with the other dogs. I received constant updates about Enoki throughout the whole day so I wasn't worried too much about him. Right when we got home, he immediately took a nap as it looks like he played all day. Thank you so much to Uncle Pawpaw and his team for taking care of Enoki. I reached out to him the night before and he was kind enough to accept my last minute request of dropping off Enoki the next day since I had to go to work in SF for a whole day. Update per Roy comments- it's all he said/she said but I will address that I was told by him he had 2 jobs- full time job separate from daycare and sometimes he has up to 20 dogs by himself. If someone is going to fact check me/correct me, I would have thought they would've gotten my dog's gender correctly if they had the details all in order. Timeline for vet visit wasn't discussed properly because i didn't reach out right away about my vet visit/details I didn't want to blame Roy and care team as it wasn't their fault per se but it sucks when there isn't much info for how the injury happened. I don't blame them still as accidents happen but letting other owners know the volume per this daycare. So decent pricing and easy to communicate/drop off. Met on the porch to talk about my dog and see if it would be a good fit- which was great, but also a little weird to not see the space where the dogs are. It sounded like the dogs are either in the garage, in the house or outside- weather permitting. Due to the amount of dogs at the facility and the owner also working full time from home- I did not get many updates about my dog. Unfortunately my dog came back with a paw injury one of the times I dropped her for care. The owner stated they didn't see anything but also sounded like he didn't really know where my dog was all day- inside I guess? I had to visit the vet and get some antibiotics for it. The owner basically shrugged off the event after I provided pictures and vet statements about the injury. If your dog needs minimal attention or oversight, would be a great spot for dog socialization and daycare. read more

My dog is weird. He's incredibly attached to [his] humans, needs to sleep in some sort of group (usually with me, my partner, and 1-2 cats on the bed). Extremely territorial (barks any anyone who walks on the sidewalk in front of my house), sometimes nervous. Just overall, kinda strange but honestly the sweetest dog ever. Usually my parents watch my dog, but I saw all of the reviews of Uncle Paw Paw and saw that he didn't have any dogs kenneled AT ALL. This sounded perfect already. At the first meet and greet, Roy was extremely warm and welcoming and took his time with my dog to feel him out. I was given the all clear from Roy and all that I needed to do next is confirm my trip details so that I can board him with Roy. Roy was able to take a super last minute boarding reservation for me when my family was unable to take him in. We just needed to bring over food (enough for each day your dog will be boarded) and the dog bed. It had been a few months since my dog saw Roy and unfortunately FOR ME when we arrived, my dog had absolutely no problem being taken off by Roy as if I did not exist in the first place. He walked away from me, tail wagging, not even glancing back once. Roy was super attentive and EXTREMELY responsive. We got videos and photos throughout the day, with commentary! Our dog was able to make a friend and enjoy his time with Roy over the three nights we boarded him. When I picked up my dog, he was happy, When I got home, my dog passed out (he's usually full of energy). I could tell he had a great time with Roy and his team. Roy did a great job easing my nerves as a pandemic pet parent with anxious tendencies. He helped answer questions along the way and helped instill confidence. Knowing that my dog was in good hands, I'm now in search of even more trips to take because I know Roy will take great care of him! Payment was super quick and easy too. i was trying to figure out where i could bring my pup when i or my bf can't be at home during the day or if/when we go on vacation. Our friend recommended Roy, knowing that we have been looking for a doggy day care for a while. We met him with our puppy on the weekend (he's very flexible with his hours in meeting you) and we could tell immediately that he is a true dog lover! We stayed outside the front of the house as we chatted about our puppy and his personality. We could see the other dogs inside the house and that they were having fun. We decided to have our puppy come once a week due to our work schedules and, every time he goes to Uncle Pawpaw, our puppy comes home exhausted and happy. Roy also sends us videos of our puppy playing with the other dogs in the yard. More importantly, this has helped our puppy not be as scared of big dogs (he used to bark at all of them. Now he barks less and will even sit and wait). What also impressed us was Roy's knowledge of how to introduce a new dog to other dogs - he introduces your dog by him/herself to the entire house and yard (while his partner helps to move the other dogs to another area) and then he slowly introduces one dog at a time to your dog, assessing for any issues. Since, he's still young, with lots of energy, we were seeking a sitter that was kind, patient, and could accommodate his daily exercise routine. i have NEVER brought my dog to any dog parks or daycares. simply because i do not trust other people. however i got my 4 year old rescue in 2019, before the pandemic had hit. it took him a while to acclimate to a home and acclimate to receiving love rather than abuse. unfortunately, he got a little too comfortable being at home.
