Karin is amazing! She is a true dog whisperer and extremely diligent/ knowledgeable AND hilarious fun throughout the whole process. Our puppy is a rescue with some real issues, she was honest and frank about who he is and provided a path forward. We are forever grateful for her care and support, without her training and mentorship we may not have been equipped to keep our pup. Thank you!! read more

Great trainer! Karin introduced me to clicker-training & the use of positive reinforcement training for rambunctious puppies. Her methodology and professionalism made introducing new behaviors easy and straightforward. Karin's experience working with dogs of all ages and breeds - as well as working with young families - made her a great choice in my search for dog trainers. You'll find that in the world of dog trainers, there are many philosophies and approaches -- I recommend positive training techniques because of its humane approach and effectiveness in training. Would definitely recommend! read more

We just absolutely adore working with Karin and cannot recommend her enough. After speaking to SO MANY trainers in the Bay Area and doing a few consultations, we were able to meet with Karin (yay availability!) and it has been great. Our 8-month-old Goldendoodle puppy is a little wary of new people but absolutely loves her. She's solved our terrible leash walking problem, helped perfect her basic commands, shown us how to properly work with her (and each other!) and best of all - our pup is completely wiped when she gets home from working with her. If you are looking for a trainer for your pandemic puppy, just call Karin - she's amazing. read more

Karin is awesome. She started to train our 3 month old sheepadoodle and it was an awesome experience. I must say that we had tried a couple of trainers before her, and our dog did not respond very well to them. Karin on the other hand had our dog dancing on her fingers. Karin is very well versed on the behavior of dogs. Puppies are not the easiest to train because they are all over the place but Karin made sure that he got a hang of all the basic commands. When i first took him out on a leash it was a disaster, thanks to Karin he is so much better with a leash (we can now take him out for walks). He is also very good at responding to our commands over a long distance. The training is expensive, but totally worth it if you want to make sure your puppy has the right foundation. I would recommend Karin without reservation. read more

Karin is absolutely amazing! Our pug has been hiking with her for the last year and we are so happy to have her. Karin is flexible, communicative, friendly, prompt and most importantly, great with our dog. Its so comforting to come home to a worn out and happy dog after a long work day. We love seeing photos of him hiking with Karin and his friends on her facebook page. Its also awesome when I work from home and see how excited he is every time she comes to pick him up. Easy 5 star review and recommendation. read more

Karin is a wonderful dog/ people trainer. We inherited an adorable poodle mix who needed some positive training. Turns out, Karin was also really good at giving us the tools we needed to help our pup. I highly recommend her for all of your doggie needs. read more

We had the good fortune of having Karin watch our two high energy, not little, pups while we were out of town. Since our dogs are our family, this was not a small thing. Our dogs have a variety of challenges--both are rescues, and both have their (to put it kindly) quirks. Toki is an exuberant adolescent, recently housetrained, and learning to differentiate "sit" from "sit, launch, and lick!" She's a sweetheart, but needs (ahem) refinement. Kehoe is a surrealist at heart--the world is a bizarre untrustworthy place, and she's ever-vigilant to keep herself, her bed, and her peoples safe. She's also a sweetheart, but needs a fair amount of attention and distraction to get through everyday things. As you can see, not the easiest combo, and yet, Karin handled them both with aplomb, and even seemed to enjoy herself. She sent us cellphone photos everyday. That's right, everyday, while we were on vacation, we were able to relax, knowing that our pups were being spoiled and well-taken care of (they were on the bed, smiling widely at the park...). I'm a nervous mom at best--so I can't say enough how much I loved this. It's a relief to have someone I know I can trust with our dog (and our home!). Both our girls adore her, and we're thrilled that she so obviously enjoys what she does. read more

Our 7 month old, 60 pound, lab shepherd puppy needed training with jumping on people, not coming when called and overall good manners. We met Karin on the trail and after working with Curry for 4 weeks, she is a different puppy. Not only does Curry LOVE Karin's enthusiasm, she rarely jumps on people, comes when called, and sits and stays on command. Curry and I HIGHLY recommend Karin, an excellent trainer, with both big and small dogs. read more

Karin has been walking our small dog, Scout, (16 lb. terrier mutt) for several months now. She takes excellent care of our dog who adores her and the walks. She has never missed a walk and always rinses and dries Scout when she comes home from the park. We are very grateful to her for the care she takes of our dog. Accidents happen especially with dogs who are difficult to control or have behavioral problems. The truth is, if your dog has issues like these, you should not send your dog on group walks until the dog is properly trained and under control. It is impossible to never take a dog's leash off such as when it tangles it around herself. Karin has many loyal supporters and even more loyal dog-fans. You can, in fact, trust your dog with her as we all do. Also, there are no other small-dog only companies in the East Bay. This is a great business. read more

Karin was a tremendous help with our rescue dog. She came to our house and gave us a wonderful introduction training session to help Charleston acclimate to our home. She is an excellent resource who provides amazing support via email and through detailed training plans. Thanks so much, Karin! read more

Karin is a phenomenal puppy/dog trainer. We noticed significant results with our puppy within a few days. He stopped biting, started coming, sitting and laying on command. And those are just a few of the many cues she has successfully taught our pup. Karin truly has a gift and an amazing way with dogs. We are so lucky to have found her. She is a lifesaver! We strongly recommend her!!! Karin is extremely responsive on text (510-529-5565) if you need to reach her. read more

Karin Cornwall is a dog lover, and it shows. Her small dog playgroup is a great alternative for those of us with high energy "little paws" who need a chance to get out and run and play with other dogs while we are at work. Our terrier-chihuahua combo is a "full of beans" and loves going out on walks with Karin and playing with her doggie pals. Because she only weighs 13 lbs,, it is important for her to be able to play with dogs her size, and "Little Paws. Big Adventures" provides that service. Karin picks her up three days a week and takes her out on a "big adventure" at one of the dog-friendly parks in the East Bay. Our dog gets to romp and sniff and play and explore, and Karin returns her clean and tired, which means we all sleep better at night. Karin is responsible and affectionate with her charges and I appreciate the daily reports about what my dog and her friends are up to, as well as the occasional photo or video of the day's "adventures". Karin has always been very flexible with us and our ever-changing schedules, which I truly appreciate. read more

Karin at LPBA has taken amazing care of our dog figaro for the past few years. she takes him out rain or shine three times a week or more depending on our schedules. she is super flexible all the time. she offers home boarding and also takes care of our kitties when we are out of town, making for a worry free vacation! we don't know what we'd do w/ out her and LPBA! -woof woof read more

My 14 week old puppy Hazel is a ball of energy and can be a bit of a handful. I asked Karin to help us with some basic down and stay commands. We got right to it and Hazel responded so well to Karin's energy and enthusiasm. Its amazing to see Karin in action, being able to guide Hazel to not only lie down but STAY as well. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to work with her. Karin was able to keep Hazel's attention and show me subtle ways to vastly improve my communication with my pup. I highly recommend Little Paws' Big Adventures. We'll definitely be back for more guidance as my little pup turns into a GREAT big dog! read more

Karin is salt of the earth and she rocks. To me she's one of the businesses that makes living in the east bay so great. After a day with Karin my little dog is so happily tired that he can barely stay awake.. and I love running into her motley crew of little dogs on the trails... read more

We called Karin for a consult to help us with our new puppy, Juno, who was guarding her food bowl with (very cute) puppy growls. We really wanted to nip this problem in the bud because we also have a toddler who really wants whatever Juno is having. Karin was great! After just one session, I can already see a change in Juno's behavior! Karin gave us some extra bonus tips to help with other aspects of her training. Karin was great to work with and best of all, Juno loves her! I will definitely be calling her again to continue to help with our puppy training! read more

As a dog-lover myself, I can spot the affliction in others a mile away. Karin definitely has the bug - she's great with her charges. Not only does she clearly adore the dogs, but she takes excellent care of them, is a skilled trainer, and is reliable, courteous, and smart to boot! read more

Karin is an absolutely fabulous dog walker! She is kind, considerate, helpful and caring. She helps train your dog to have good trail and walk etiquette. She only walks dogs under 30lbs. and keeps the number of dogs to a specific number to ensure the safety and quality of the walks. My dogs always came home happy. She would leave me notes about the days walk which I loved coming home to. Look her up here is the website! www.lpba.net read more

Karin is the absolute best dog walker! She helped me out many times and my little dog, Luna, just loved going out with Karin and the other small dogs. Luna was not used to being without me and going out with someone she did not know- Karin was able to not only get Luna out of the house and into her truck, but Luna feel in love with her! I am so happy to have found Karin and she is the only dog walker i would ever use. i HIGHLY recommend her. If anyone wants to hear more good things about her, please feel free to email me at ninatd@yahoo.com. read more

Karin takes her crew out for long walks in great spots around the east bay. It's great to get home to a happy, healthy dog on days when we can't take her out for a substantial walk. Karin is as friendly and positive a person as I've met and her enthusiasm for her work is extraordinary. Working with her was the best decision we could have made for our dog read more

I am Daisy's poppa. I am glad that everyone else has had a good experience with LPBA. But what I know is simply this: Daisy was not to be let off-leash for any reason at any time. Daisy did exactly what a rambunctious small dog does - when let off leash. I personally told Karin that Daisy had a tendency to run off when off-leash. Karin, a professional, obviosly knew better. Karin had Daisy off-leash, if only for a moment. Daisy bolted, as expected. Daisy played keep-away, she's a dog, after all. Hence the whole NO OFF-LEASH thing. Karin called 911. Karin called Felicia (after an hour). Karin helped for awhile and then left to go about her business. Walking dogs. While the dog she had care of was stuck on a mudlflat. With the tide coming in. Oh, well... We could always get another, right? Felicia went in after the water was up to Daisy's neck. That is the image that I associate with Karin: water up to my beloved Daisy's neck. How can a dogwalker 'write off' a dog? That just ain't right. read more

Karin saved us! We adopted a 1.5year old rescue lab mix who was completely untrained and out of control. We had a miserable first week and got Karin on board. She is very professional and really friendly. Our pup loved her immediately. She got Artemis to walk at our side and stop jumping when someone is holding food in the first session. She is excellent at training the person and dog. After the session she sends a follow up of what you went over so you can remember how to practice at home more easily. Our sweet pup is becoming more behaved and pleasant to be with. There is still a way to go but now I can see what is possible! read more

I highly recommend our dog walker, Karin. Our dog is well behaved, socialized and overall a better dog because of her care and exercise. She gives us an invaluable service. read more

Karin has been great with our Italian Greyhound puppy. It used to be such a struggle to get our little guy to go out for walks. He would shake and refuse to move. Can you believe a dog that doesn't like to go for walks? Karin spent a lot of time with with getting him used to neighborhood walks as well as trail walks. Now he's very well adjusted and loves his buddies and a lot of that has to do with Karin and her approach. read more

Our Tibetan Spaniel, Everest, just started with Little Paws but has already fallen in love with Karin and her dog, Turnpike. Everest has some fear issues, but within ten minutes of meeting Karin was letting her scratch his belly. We also boarded with Karin and it was a smashing success. Everest came home tired and happy. We're thrilled we found LIttle Paws. It's been an absolutely seamless transition and that's saying a lot because Everest is a challenging dog. read more

Not only does my dog, Foxy, love Karen but my husband and I feel totally at ease knowing that Foxy is being well taken care of when she is with Karen. From the minute I met Karen at Pt. Isabel dog park, she was a wonderful combination of professional and friendly. I could immediately see that she knew her business well and that the dogs under her supervision were happy and well behaved. After I sent an initial email requesting her services, she promptly responded by making an appointment to meet at our house and attaching forms that I could fill out prior to our meeting. Her forms were easy to fill out yet it was clear that the information she was requesting would aid her in giving Foxy the best care. I really appreciated the meeting at our house where aside from learning where all the supplies are kept, etc. she also did a "mock" walk. I learned tons of information in that one visit about Foxy's behavior due to Karen's wealth of knowledge. I continue to call upon it on a regular basis. My husband often asks me how I know something or other about Foxy and the answer is usually "Karen taught me." Another aspect of Karen's services that we really appreciated is that she checked in with us regularly giving us progress reports about the walk of the day. When I was out of town for the first time since adopting Foxy, I was greatly relieved to hear how the day went and could relax and enjoy my time away. It is so nice to know that we can count on Karen to give Foxy what she needs. We greatly value her services and highly recommend her. read more
