Jennifer is a miracle worker. Vader is an almost 18 month old Newfie who weights close to 170 lbs. He is naturally a really sweet and pretty well behaved dog but we were having a huge issue with pulling during walks. My husband could manage him pretty well but I didn't feel comfortable walking him on my own as he would go crazy when he saw other dogs, trying to rush over and play, and it took every ounce of my strength to restrain him. After one session with Jennifer, he is 100% different. She introduced us to an e-collar which we'd never considered before and Vader caught on within an hour. Jennifer set us up with all the equipment we'd need at a very fair price and has been wonderful to work with. We have returned for a few more sessions to work on other skills and are so thrilled with the progress we've seen.

Jennifer is an amazing Dog Whisperer. Within one hour she had broken 4 bad habits of our little guy. We went so far as to board him with Jennifer and within 4 days it's amazing what he learned. I loved all her techniques. She sent us photos of him every day with the new items he mastered. We are using her again next month to bring him to the next level. Can't believe we have such an amazing dog trainer on the island! Christen~

Jennifer is wonderful enthusiastic trainer. With her knowledge and fantastic skills, BEN became precious part of our family !

    Tanzie is 4 years old

I first met Jennifer April 2018.I had adopted Tanzie December: 2017. She was timid and flinched every time we petted her. I had been referred to a Vet Behaviorist. Tanzie was doing better, but I felt we missing a piece of the puzzle. Jennifer and I met. She helped me learn how to help Tanzie be more confident. She is a happy Mal Gal. Rocko is my 5 month old male Mal puppy. He is definitely a big goofy puppy. I was trying to train Rocko and I was having trouble with him. Jennifer has worked with him. He is calmer at times and always want to please. I feel very blessed to have Jennifer as my Trainer. If I could stand on a mountaintop and shout to everyone I would. Jennifer cares about the dogs she works with. Her passion for training is so awesome. I know Jennifer will work me to help Rocko becomes sound working dog. I would recommend Jennifer for your training needs.

Jennifer has been amazing! She has been training my 15 month old English Setter Finley and me for a few weeks now and the change has been incredible. Finley is a hunting breed so his instinct to pull and chase was driving me crazy. We had tried all kinds of leashes, harnesses etc... but nothing worked. When he started lunging at cyclist this was the last straw. After a few sessions with Jennifer Finley walks on a loose leash and only pulls occasionally. The right tools and the correct handling taught by Jennifer have made our outings with Finley a pleasure! I would highly recommend her!

Jennifer was recommended to us to help train our Mini Schnauzer Ingo who was too smart for his own good! I did training with her along with Ingo and now she'll take him for the day on his own. I think she helped train me more than our pup :) The best advice she gave me when training him out of bad behavior is that it's not personal, and he'll be happier in the long run. He was leash aggressive and recently we took him to a street festival in town where there were a ton of dogs walking around and he was a gem. Guess who we ran into - Jennifer! Thank you for ALL that you do!

We came to Jennifer after adopting a 1.5 year old rescue named jack. He was a stray and had no record or history. We were desperate as our wonderful new dog had some serious anxiety issues, leash aggression, barking at everything on walks, and no previous leash training. We knew his potential and as his new owners and forever home, it was our responsibility to find help. All I can say is that Jennifer has helped us so much with each of these issues. But please note: training does not happen over night. You must follow the teaching she provides and be consistent to see results. In the end Jennifer ended up reaching us how to be better pet owners. After all, it's up to us to give the dog instructions and his job to follow. If you don't know how to give the right commands, your dog surely won't know how to follow! We absolutely love Jennifer and our dog is becoming the best he can be thanks to her

Over the four years I have had her, she has progressively gotten more reactive to the point that I can no longer let her off leash except in the most controlled circumstances and walks were stressful and unpredictable. Whenever we encountered another dog or any other animal, I would have to brace myself for lunging, barking, and potentially getting dragged down the street. When I picked her up from board and train a week ago, she showed much improvement. I had been concerned that corrections could dampen her spirit but that was not the case. She's still as sweet and spirited as ever. Also, I noticed she had bonded closely with Pat which was a good sign. The improvement in her reactively became very apparent when I took her to Pat's group class for the first time today. In the past, she would have started barking from the car at the dogs in the park and I would not have been able to walk her anywhere near a park full of dogs. Today, I was able to walk her into the park without incident, and during exercises where the dogs had to walk near each other and sit within 3 feet of each other, I was amazed that she could do the exercises without a lot of stress and even seemed somewhat relaxed. That never would have happened before Pat! I look forward to taking my dog to as many group classes as we can! Thank you Pat!

I've realized that training isn't just about teaching your dog it's also about learning how to communicate with and understand them, and she has really helped me see that. I wasn't prepared when i got Benji as a baby and have had him for about 2 years over time i noticed he was leash reactive along with a few other sensitivities , and Kathy has been so so amazing in currently working through that with us in so many ways! She has never made me feel judged or discouraged. Instead, she has been patient, encouraging, and willing to take the time to explain things to me so I truly understand. I've already noticed slight differences in both Benji and myself, and I feel much more confident because of the guidance she has given us i truly couldn't thank her enough for coming into mine and Benjis life when we needed it the most. She is not only an amazing trainer, but an incredible person to work with. I'm genuinely grateful for all the help, patience, and knowledge she has shared with us. I'm so happy and grateful we found her, and I truly hope we can continue working together. That insight alone was incredibly helpful and reassuring. Karan is assertive, extremely knowledgeable, and knows exactly how to guide both dog and owner toward success. One of the biggest things he helped me realize is how important my own confidence is in shaping my dog's behavior. That shift alone made a huge difference. Our usual tricks with trying to redirect her attention or to stop the herding behavior (with the kids, we don't herd the kids, Lola!) were going unmatched and we knew we needed help. We started with in home private lessons with Rochelle. Some of what she taught us was a bit "duh" because we weren't thinking outside of the box, but also much of it was teaching us to be better dog owners, to tune into our dog and meet her where she was at. The 1:1 training was truly beneficial as Rochelle was able to come into our home and witness the behaviors we needed help with. Over the course of several weeks we became better dog owners and Lola learned lots of new things. We then transitioned to group classes with Rochelle which I admit the mere idea of stressed me out. Lola had never done well in public and was often triggered by too many (often random) things. But to my surprise Lola performed amazingly. She often lost her marbles about 30-40 mins into each group class but the other amount of time she was spot on and eager to learn. I am so proud that she was able to be handled by Rochelle on a few occasions and has become a confident dog who thrives in the outside social world. I will forever be grateful to Rochelle for teaching ME how to be a better dog owner and for showing me the potential Lola always had.

Before training, we struggled with leash pulling, barking, lunging at other dogs, and nonstop chaos whenever someone came through the door. We were honestly at our wits' end. We started weekly family lessons in January 2026 with our dogs and our two 12-year-old daughters, and progress began almost immediately. Bryan quickly helped us realize the humans needed training too. With consistent coaching, support, and a board-and-train program, the transformation has been incredible. Our dogs are now well-behaved both at home and in public. We can comfortably walk them, take them to parks and outdoor restaurants, and genuinely enjoy being with them. Bit of background: Maggie has done 12 weekly group training sessions with another trainer and is generally well-behaved. However, she doesn't read the social signals from other dogs well (ex: when they want to be left alone), tends to jump on everyone at all times, doesn't respond to commands unless there's a treat involved, and lacks confidence. What I enjoyed about the program is that it includes several in person training sessions during the B&T. We got to see Maggie's progress as time went on and most importantly, we were trained on their behavior psychology and how to become the leaders of our pack. I will say I was nervous about implenting the ecollar but Bryan has demonstrated that it is a safe and effective training tool-- I got to see it used as a tool for correction that Maggie actually responded well to. Maggie is coming home tomorrow and hand-off includes an in-home training sessions to ensure her progress doesn't regress which I appreciate. From what I've seen, Maggie has become more confident, responds to recalls in distracting places (no treats involved), learned to self-soothe, and plays/greets other dogs/people with manners. Truly the best investment I've made in my dog and I'd highly recommend Mutt and Tumble to all dog parents!
