So I've had friends rave about this place and I finally made time to go. Not disappointed. Pretty satisfied with our food, our server was very attentive and friendly. The ambience was nice at least in the front of the restaurant. Started with the watermelon salad. It was tasty and larger than we expected. Wish there was a stronger balsamic taste to the dressing and more cheese but overall, a pretty solid dish. We followed the salad up with one of the flatbreads. The bacon and smoked scallop flatbread to be precise! My boyfriend wasn't as impressed with this as I was but I looooved this!!!! The flatbread was perfectly cooked. Nice and crisp. Had char marks on the bottom like fresh brick oven pizzas should have. Great combination of flavors. A little messy but this was by far my favorite. The server warned us that it would be larger than expected and she sure wasn't lying! Essentially, a personal sized pizza. Yummy! We then had the sriracha honey fried chicken with potato salad. The chicken was tasty. Honey and sriracha complemented it well. As far as the potato salad, split decision with the boyfriend and I again lol. He loved it. I thought the potatoes were cooked well, nice creaminess to the sauce...but wayyyyy too much dill for my liking, it's all I could taste. Bison sliders. These were great. We let them sit at our table too long and allowed them to get cold, OPPS! I'm sure they would be even better when warm! Fried blowfish tails. It was a special that evening and we ordered it for the uniqueness factor and to be able to gloat a little that we had blowfish and survived. My partner in crime had the first taste and started laughing. He said it was good but very similar to fishsticks. So we started calling them Fancy FishSticks...I know, we are real mature. Prepared well; nice tender fish, good crunch on the outside. Served with an excellence sauce; tasted like a sweet red chili of sorts. We both became curious as to what the tails would taste like prepared another way, pan seared perhaps. My drink was a Berry Mangaloe. Quite tasty, similar to a Mai Tai. The aloe Vera juice was a nice, refreshing touch. Next time I think I'll try what our waitress recommended, the Level Gimlet which has lime foam. Dessert!!! I went for the Pots de Créme with Mexican chocolate and a black raspberry drizzle. This was incredible! I love the grit that Mexican chocolate has. This was incredibly creamy and thick too. Soo good! Decadent. My friend texted me that the bread pudding was amazing but we had already ordered dessert and we didn't regret our choice at all. But another thing to keep in mind for next time! Our waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. However I have one major issue with either a member of staff or with a policy in general or perhaps both. Upon entering I noticed a sign which stated, "Proper attire acquired!" I see this at many restaurants I've dined at. And never has anyone had an issue with how I or any companion was dressed. After being seated by the lovely host, my kind boyfriend noticed I was cold and was leaving to get my sweater from the car. A staff member approached him and told him to move his baseball hat forward I know the old proper etticate, "no hats worn at all inside, esp at dinner" but that also comes from a time when servers at legitimate establishments wore suits instead of shorts/jeans and chucks. I was wearing a dress and My boyfriend was wearing a dress shirt, tailored jeans, nice shoes, and his facial hair was manicured well. He did not look scruffy or bummy. For someone to approach him about a baseball hat or how he chooses to wear it, I expect A LOT out of the ambience of the establishment and I expect anyone enforcing the "policy" to also be well dressed and well groomed. The gentleman that had words with my boyfriend had an extremely scruffy unkempt beard. Jeans, tennis shoes and an untucked shirt. I get that look. I like that look on servers (tailored jeans, clean converses, nice shirt and a WELL maintained beard). But for someone with a scruffy beard and a relaxed appearance to have something to say about someone whose appearance is a bit more tailored....it just doesn't make sense to me. We Probably would have left had our friends not raved so much and if we weren't short on time. So guys, leave the baseball hats off or wear it "normal" to avoid an annoying, ridiculous scenario. Also for someone to throw a fit about a hat, I'd make sure the back of the house looked phenomenal if you're going to have an open concept. More plants to hide/uplift the kitchen/dish area. Unnecessary to have exposed dish room to look at while waiting for the restroom. That whole back area doesn't have the same ambience as the front of the restaurant. Hate to go on and on about a seemingly trivial matter but the situation really rubbed me the wrong way. It was still a good experience and our kind server certainly saved the day with her charm...not to mention the tasty treats!! read more

I am a big fan of this restaurant for a splurge on a date night! The service is young and upbeat. There were two times they were not able to answer my questions about the menu/drinks, but they always went to ask and came back with a precise answer. The one glaring flaw about service was that when we asked for the rest of our flatbread to be packed up to take home, we realized that another half was missing once we opened the container. I have never had large portions of leftovers missing from the container. Even if it was accidentally dropped and had to be trashed - please mention it and don't think I won't notice. Ambiance was current, rich, and sophisticated. The bar looked like a cute place to meet up with friends. I really loved a lot of the design elements. It just felt good to spend time here. Though I will say having been seated near the hostess stand, it felt weird because she was staring at us eat the whole time. The drinks were interesting. A fun part of the meal for an extra splurge. Best drink of the night - bourbonapolis. Proclaimed at our table as "my new favorite drink ... ever". Disappointing drink - Some vodka based drink that had a huge stalk of celery in it and the glass was rimmed with white pepper. It was too vegetable-y and savory (I had hoped for something refreshing but was disappointed). The food was well made and tasty. The parmesan and garlic fries were not as much a hit for us as it was for other reviewers. The pile of garlic on top of the fries was completely raw and too biting/burning. The risotto was a nice texture and deliciously abundant with cheese. Cheesy flatbread was done simply and with perfection. The quality of cheese was apparent as the flavors sang in this dish. The Japanese eggplant was under seasoned and over priced. The grilling did not impart as much smokiness as I expected. The cookies and milk dessert is just that, well executed and nostalgia fulfilling but ultimately pedestrian. Overall - Great atmosphere, fun dishes, and reliable flavors. While the prices are high for the food itself, I am happy to pay the extra for quality local ingredients and the ambiance. ** Note to management - please update your menu on the website! I really want to like Level. The food is high quality but the few experiences I've had here aside from the food have been rather...underwhelming. Instance 1: Restaurant week with a large group. Service was awful like so awful it soured the great food. Disappointed with portion sizes because I didn't know it was more of a tapas style/small plates joint than a "regular" restaurant. Felt mildly gyped. No fewer than 3 tables nearby were turned over while we waited for various courses. Shouldn't have to wait more than 20 minutes between courses. Instance 2: Evening with much smaller group. Had wine (great wine menu) and a couple of small plates. Good food. Ehhh service but it was busy so while it's not an excuse I can overlook that. Finally tonight another large group but we rented out the upstairs. The food was decent quality, we didn't really splurge on anything super outlandish (the risotto is to die for). The drinks were great but imagine my surprise when I shelled out $10+ for ONE drink. In all, the food is really good quality which is great if you want to go drop $100 for two people on drinks and small plates. But if you're looking to save cash? I hear they have a great happy hour (which I have yet to visit!) read more

Level is probably the best place to eat in DTA. No other restaurant has kitchen staff that consistently produce food as good. The menu is filled with dishes that have excellent flavor and are well prepared. Level is also expensive as shit. Yeah, alright, small plates lounge means small portions. Americans could probably do with some smaller portions. But those plates don't come out cheap, and if you're like me (fat and hungry) it may take 2 or 3 plates worth of food to be sated. That's not chump change, especially with a couple drinks! And man, are the drinks good. Great cocktails. Expensive, too, but IDGAF. I'll tie on on at Level a couple times a year and not even mind spending hundred bucks. Typically getting wasted at the bar is just drinking shit I could make/open at home only with the addition of some fat guy playing MP3s. Level serves up next generation cocktails prepared with techniques and ingredients difficult for me to acquire. Also, Level is very cool and that intimidates me. I fake my way through it and try to pretend that I'm also cool but honestly I'd prefer eating someplace with ESPN on the TV instead of mysterious EDM/folk music and no TVs at all. YMMV. read more

I did my research before visiting Annapolis. Boy did it pay off. On the first night in town, in order to celebrate myself and significant other's anniversary, I wanted to try dinner at a place a bit more intimate than your usual seafood restaurant (although I love these types of places too). Level was the exact place I was looking for. Intimate, low light, quiet enough for conversation, excellent service, UNBELIEVABLE cocktails, world class service. Hell yeah. First things first. Credit where credit is due. Our waiter, Tony, was the best I think I've ever had in my life so far. What an expert. If Tony's manager is reading this, give that man a raise. Second, my partner and I tried a number of their cocktails (I can't help myself, I'm Irish). I'm an equal opportunist when it comes to adult beverages, but I have a special love for whiskey. That bourbonapolis was the best whiskey drink I've ever tried. Not one of. THE best. We also tried the weekend at Bernie's, which was an excellent fruity cocktail for the pineapple lovers out there. And the Level gimlet was just refreshingly wonderful. It was sweet and sour, with lime foam (sounds weird, but is stupid good) and fresh lime zest. These drinks were dangerous, because I could've just kept ordering them. Yes they're a little pricey, but for $12 I got the best drink I've ever ordered in my life. Worth the experience. Third, the food was very creative and well thought out. While it is small plates, and a little difficult to get full from, each item that I ordered was perfectly cooked and interesting. I'd say my favorite was the butcher steak. Who can beat steak and bourbon? But I also enjoyed the seared baby squash from their garden section of the menu. The menu seems to combine ingredients you typically wouldn't see together and I really liked it. As long as you're willing to be a little adventurous, you'll have a good time trying this food. Last, milk and cookies for dessert. Warm milk and cookies. Need I say more? I love this place. A good spot to kick back for a while, have a world-class cocktail and try some interesting dishes. Bring a date, bring friends, bring a random stranger, who cares tell everyone. Level is excellent. This is a fun take on the tapas bar style. As advertised, they have tons of small plates, all of which are unique, culinary dishes. My favorite was the braised rabbit legs, which I had never had before. As expected, it tasted a lot like chicken, but the seasoning was great and they were very easy to eat. The drinks were great too and I especially enjoyed their fall version of a Moscow mule with apples. Overall, a great experience that was great from drinks to dessert. I'm not sure how good the food is, as I was denied entry. I arrived at 530 in the afternoon, when the restaurant was near empty, wearing a nice patterned tank top (NOT a wife beater) and they said this was against the dress code. I have no problem with dress codes, but have them displayed on your website or outside the establishment or something! Instead, i was embarrassed in front of friends. When you're located right by the harbor, you should expect some people wearing boating-appropriate clothing. Fantastic as always! Great food, great drinks, and great service. Easily my favorite place in Annapolis, I try and bring friends and family here when they come to visit. I always rave about their brussell sprouts so I made sure to order them as our first dish. As always, they were a huge hit. I've not met a single person who doesn't love these. If they are on the menu, order them! We also ordered the black bean hummus, cheese plate, pork ragout & gnocci, seared scallops, and the short ribs, all of which were amazing. Beyond the food, the drinks at Level are the best in town. They have a wonderful assortment of house specialty cocktails and can probaly make anything else you might crave. My lacrosse team played a summer tournament in annapolis and we wanted to do an upscale night that wasn't too expensive or too stuffy. this place had a phenomenal yellowtail tuna with wasibi tobiko, a decent mac and cheese and great lamb. This place made me so happy. I've been missing what this place has to offer: solid mixed drinks and a well thought-out menu. The ingredients are local, but that didn't seem to affect the price as it would in most places. Seriously, where has pumpkin moonshine been all my life? The mixed drinks were strong and priced about what I'm used to. Maybe it was the alcohol, but with our order, you would've thought we hadn't seen food in days. Between the two of us we ordered the risotto, lamb chops, octopus, sweet potatoes, and honestly I can't remember the other (damn the drinks!). The menu changes with what's in season, so don't look for something you love to be there all the time. The decor was warm and comfortable. I came here after work Saturday to grab a light dinner and some drinks with a friend of mine. I must say the food was better than I expected and that's always a plus! We ordered a few things off the menu since the portion sizes are fairly small, but great in a way to try a few popular items on their menu. We ordered some fried calamari, a white scallop flat bread pizza, and their duck confit quesadilla. I really recommend trying the duck quesadilla if ever in the area. Wife and I had a great experience here our first time, so have kept coming back every time we visit Annapolis. Always an exciting, rotating menu with novel flavor combinations. Portions are not really as small as you'd expect. Cocktails here are a strong suit and get back absolutely outstanding. Service has been anywhere from terrible to remarkable. Sat at the bar. The young male bartender was busy as heck and still gave great service. He also made me a great mocktail. The two bartenders have great flow for such a busy restaurant. We are veg so we had the mushroom salad which had a slight crunchiness which was perfect. Great salad. Ricotta Gnocchi was amazing, best I've had in a long time. Fries were also great. I have been to Level twice now and have enjoyed the cocktails and food both times. The Moscow Mule is refreshing and comes in a cool copper mug, and the Leblon Fizz was decent but a bit too tart and sweet. Now for the food. From most favorite to least: - Fries - Short ribs - Cuban pork spring rolls - Cheesy flatbread - Risotto - Seasonal greens (love greens, but they were featuring kale when we went and it's not my personal preference) - Asparagus (not crisp enough on the day we ordered it) All in all, Level is a great place for happy hour or dinner. Some of the "small" plates are actually quite large, and I've found that 4 are enough for 2 people. Prices are great and doesn't break your budget. Final thought- Level's space is uber cool and reminds me a lot of Denver with the gorgeous wood floors, stairs, and beams. Awesome! read more

My husband and I were given a gift card to this restaurant and no where on the card does it have an expiration date on it. We went to use it two nights ago and found it wouldn't work. Come to find out it had expired. The bad part of this is the restaurant management won't honor it. I feel that's a bad decision on their part, we won't visit this restaurant. read more

If you like small plates, this is the place to go in Annapolis. Start with the Level Gimlet. It tastes like a key lime pie with vodka. The gnocchi is beyond good, and the duck confit was cooked to perfection. Don't eat so much that you don't have room for dessert -- you have to try the banana bread pudding! Wonderful spot! We were leaving a concert at Rams Head and needed a little nourishment to go with the tasty brews we enjoyed during our concert. Seeing as it was a Sunday night, we weren't sure how lucky we would be on finding a decent restaurant spot. As we walked back to our car, we came across LEVEL which was full to the brim! We figured, if the room was full, we couldn't go wrong. We each had a glass of wine (great wine list!) and split 3 small plates. We enjoyed the sweet potato chips, tuna tar tar (AMAZING! and ooh so spicy!), and one of their flat bread pizzas meat (that was my gentleman friend's pic and he loved it but I wasn't a huge fan). All-in-all, great service and great food! Highlights: Tasty pure water served from a gorgeous bottle-one at every table Ambiance- Simple, clean, modern Service- knowledgeable and with a smile-the servers all looked like they were enjoying themselves. I went to Level with a big group and I must say the food did not disappoint and the service was excellent. Our server was so patient, helpful, and quick. We were very disorganized trying to order small plates for a large group and we ordered in waves, which did not seem to bother our server at all. I loved that the ingredients are locally sourced and even though the menu was small, there were options to satisfy picky eaters, vegetarians, gluten free, etc. I loved the cheesy sausage dip and garlic fries as appetizers. Flat bread pizzas and shrimp and grits were also quite popular among my group. I really wanted to try the sliders, will have to come back another time for those! Seriously all-around excellent. From the inventive cocktails (the blueberry caipiroska and cucumber margarita are divine) and spectacular service to the flavorful and beautifully-presented small plates, Level delivers. Every dish was fresh and delicious, but I especially recommend the Asian-inspired tuna tartare, the gnocchi with pea puree, the "white" pizza, and the garlic-herbed french fries. My only drawback to the place was the dessert: the banana-chocolate bread pudding was far too heavy on the latter flavor and it was overly dry. It was quite the let down after a phenomenal dinner. At any rate, the ambiance is cool and low-key, the servers are spot-on, and the food and drinks are just flat out superb. OVERVIEW: Level has some of the coolest specialty drinks I have ever seen. They also have inventive small plates, a really fun atmosphere, and the service is top notch. I spent the weekend in Annapolis visiting friends and, as usual, we went to Level. It is, by far, my favorite place in Annapolis. We went in a pretty large group on a Friday night and were still able to find room at the upstairs bar. The bar itself is really interesting because they have all the garnishes and mixes lined up along the bar for the bartenders to reach easily. I like it because you get to see just how fresh everything is that is going into your drink and it makes for fun conversation trying to identify some of the more odd ingredients. The bartenders were really attentive, outgoing, and happy to explain how the drinks are made. We went for the Moscow Mule; a really fun mixed drink comprised of vodka and ginger beer served in a copper mug. I also had the pomegranate caipirinha which they serve topped with a sweet lime foam (so cool). The small plates are great too. My favorite was the spicy tuna tartare with yellow fin sashimi, sriracha chili, soy, sesame, and wasabi tobiko. I am obsessed with everything about this dish! I KNOW that I am going to be returning here every time I visit Annapolis. read more

: (.....Another Annapolis restaurant falis the consistancy test. We were meeting up with four other friends, so our party of six was ready to do some serious menu sampling. I picked this spot, since no one but myself had been here and my last experience was memorable. Service was great and we were led to an eight top for six so we had room to spread out a bit and have extra chairs for coats and such. I noticed the menu had changed, which of course it should if you are practicing the farm to table trend. First up: Beverages. Some wine by the glass, beer and a pitcher of the "Winter Sangria" described as cranberries, blood orange, red wine, clove syrup and spices. That sounded good for a damp and dreary Saturday night. The glass pitcher filled with a deep burgundy hued sangria looked like something straight out of a Martha Stewart Magazine. The server, bless her heart, attempted to pour some into our glasses, but the extraordinary amount of ice and whole fresh cranberries made this a tricky endeavor. Needless to say, napkins were needed to wipe up the mess. The first glass was good, but as the evening wore on, the melting ice managed to dilute the contents, so the flavor profile went from a wine spritzer to pink ice water. Not good. By now, I was dreaming of ordering a martini, so I could at least taste some alcohol. But I refrained. Next came our plates: Grilled Calamari - Reminded me of a tender fat round noodle. No taste of the grill, no tang from the lemon, and certainly no flavor from the EVOO. Disappointing. Cuban Pork Spring Rolls - Had these before and were a delight! See other review. This order, though nicely presented, was bland with no flavor from dijon, pickle, or shallot. Heck the pork didn't even have any porkiness. The meat was squishy soft and unappealing. Next. Fried Oysters - Cute presentation, in a mini wire basket, but after one bite I was wondering what in the heck I was eating. The inside looked like a very thin chicken McNugget. When I fry them at home, the inside is juicy, plump and still resembles the original shape of the oyster. Did they macerate them before frying? Who knows..... Grilled Japanese Eggplant - Just ok. Gnocchi- Bland, mealy, and just flat. Night Special - Sauteed pork belly over greens. - Ok so the bartender had mentioned earlier that this dish was sauteed in duck fat. Wow. Pork belly and duck fat, how much more sinful can you get? Well no need to go to confession, as this small serving was barely touched. This dish did not exemplify the luscious ingredients it was comprised of. And there was an off flavor to the whole thing....Anise? I'm not sure. Mushroom flat bread- Ok finally something I wanted to have another bite of but we are talking about a bit of bread with cheese and shrooms. Not the most creative offering, but the thin pie really did highlight the woodsy, flavorful and fragrant fungi. Luckily, most of our other dining guests were pretty pleased, although I would doubt if they would ever say they weren't. My husband was not impressed at all as we discussed the meal privately on our way home. If it was just one or two dishes that were off, I would forgive, but almost the entire menu? Sigh. Tough review to write, as I have been a huge fan of Level since it opened more than six years ago. The one consistent negative has been how loud it is but the food and service have been it worth going slightly deaf each meal. Not so the last two times, and definitely not the last time, just last week. Pork spring rolls were disappointing, with a bland almost poached pork inside. White truffle mac was actually quite good, just a titch al dente as I like it. Tuna tartare had lower quality tuna than usual (it's been on the menu since the get-go, and we've had it 25-30 times over the years). Fried chicken was soggy, Steak was fine, just not outstanding. Was the food "bad"? Definitely not. But it wasn't inventive, creative nor above average, at least this time around. We will return, just because we've been such fans over the years...but not until the next seasonal menu is uncloaked! read more

as Annapolis locals who had lost faith in Fox's restaurants we were delighted with our experience at Level last night. Originally on our way to tsunami with the in laws we decided to stop at level for a few drinks before heading for sushi and we just couldn't leave, the small plates, european style service, and come as you are atmosphere was delightful! We were charmed with the list of local farms that all the meat and produce is gathered from and felt good about the prices very reasonable! The bartender was fantastic! really a talented artist. My husband is a fine dining chef and his parents were just returning from a month in Spain and they couldn't stop raving over the food. We started with a beautiful bottle of tempranillo which was presented professionally, and the apple hummus, the flat bread that came with it was almost better by itself. The plates come out when they are ready so it was great to be able to pass everything around. next course was the Dolmathakia delicately prepared and beautifully served, lamb stew savory and tender, and the four cheese risotto which was to die for although so rich and creamy you were grateful for the small portion. Between each course the waitstaff filled our water glasses and changed our plates and cutlery. Next was the duck ravioli, foxy calzone, gnocchi with cream sauce, and flat bread pizza with prosciutto and baby arugula. The ravioli was fried so that threw me off a bit but the duck was beautiful, the gnocchi was nontraditional and more like fried mashed potatoes then pasta. But the pizza was a keeper. because of the space between courses we found everything wonderfully filling and very conducive to conversation although being downstairs the noise level rose throughout the evening. We finished with apple sorbet and ice wine, the sorbet was more like frozen applesauce then anything i've had in the states. the only drawback to the evening was that the waitstaff seemed so unhappy, although prompt and courteous she obviously did not want to be there. But All in all this was a Fabulous meal and I would recommend it. Reservations also looked like a good idea. read more

We had a really wonderful time at Level and I'm so glad we chose to eat at this cute restaurant. Their drink menu is creative and fun and overall the food was just fantastic! For cocktails we had the: pomegranate caipirinha, bloody mary, bourbonapolis, and their CFF of the evening (I can't remember the name but it was an A++ drink with cucumber water and lemon...extraordinarily refreshing). The pomegranate drink was very visually appealing and pretty flavorful. I enjoyed the bourbonapolis but think I chose the wrong drink for the season...it's definitely more of a fall beverage. And the bloody mary was good but it seemed to try too hard with the jalapeno vodka and seared pepper...a pickle may have been a more appropriate garnish. To eat we shared the: tuna tartare (B+) - the tuna itself was wonderfully flavorful but it ended up just swimming in its sauce. Way over sauced for my taste. lamb chops - wonderful! The color was a bit rare for our taste but once we chomped down we were so delightfully surprised. Perfectly cooked, wonderful flavors. A+ quail - it's unfortunate that we got this dish so late in the evening because we were barely hungry when it arrived. That being said, the bird was cooked to perfection. I wish that the lentils it was served on had been room temperature instead of cold (A/A-) cuban pork spring rolls - these were a crowd favorite. A++. Delicious cheesy flatbread - we were so pleasantly surprised by how good this was. i mean, c'mon, it's just a flatbread...with cheese on it...but it was soooo yummy!! and gnocchi - I love gnocchi and there were parts of this dish that i thought were really successful. I appreciated the subtle cucumber sauce and how original the flavor profile was. But I didn't totally enjoy the texture of the gnocchi and other people in my party disagreed about the sauce. I guess this is just a controversial dish. To finish we had another round of cocktails, the only changeup was an added Italian pornstar which should definitely only be consumed at the end of the meal. Overall, service was good, food was delicious, and drinks were creative and fun. I would absolutely return and hope that Level can just fine tune some of the verrry small errors we encountered in the meal. read more

Just had to get away from the touristy, crabcake madness of downtown.... and yelp led me to Level. Such a fantastic find! We walked here from our hotel near the state house. Very easy, safe walk. All local ingredients, from local farms. Very cool and always great to support a place that supports its community. Really yummy, creative cocktails. Their list of drinks can't be ignored. Try at least one. My husband and I shared probably four small plates... flatbread, rockfish ceviche, spring rolls, lamb chops. Ceviche and chops were the standouts. Sit at the bar for a while before dinner and watch the bartenders mixing outrageous cocktails. Really fun night, and so thankful yelp led us to Level. (gave it 4/5 stars only because i've only been there once and don't have much to compare it to. and because once those cocktails kicked in i probably would have loved most anything :-)) read more

Awesome food even for the vegetarian!! The apps are to die for and their drinks were delicious!! I'm so excited that we went - the small plates are good to share between 2-3 people but we ordered plenty of stuff to try!! Our host was amazing and courteous!! can't wait to go again read more

We decided at the last minute to pull off of Route 50 and have dinner in Annapolis. It was my job to search for a place we haven't tried yet with only a few minutes to choose! This place only had a few reviews but I took the risk- what a great find! We were lucky to find a parking space right in front! (Don't expect that to happen to you... but I hope it does!) Level was pleasantly full of diners on a Sunday evening but we didn't have to wait for a table. I liked the idea of the tapas style menu because we were not super hungry. I ordered a Bourbonapolis cocktail with house made blackberry liqueur and the crab & avocado focaccia. My husband ordered the seared mushroom salad for starters and the seared scallops with giant capers and house made bacon chunks on a bed of yummy aioli. Everything came quick, fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious! The choices were interesting, the ambiance was upscale pub and the service was excellent. I'd say make reservations and plan your parking. I think this place will be even busier next time we visit! read more

Food was ok, drinks were good, service was good. I like the concept and that the restaurant uses local farmers and vendors to create their menu. But the food itself was underwhelming. The gnocchi was under salted and the grilled calamari was too simple. I did enjoy the tuna tartare - it was fresh and flavorful with a little kick of spicy heat. The drink special was a carrot margarita which I had to try because I've never seen that before... and I really liked it. But overall, I was a little disappointed. I probably would not go back again... not because it was bad, but just because it didn't stand out. read more

The food wasn't bad, the only reason for low star is the service. Maybe it was our particular waitress, Molly, maybe that's normal for this place. We had two half pizzas left, and as we are discussing what to do with it, it was hot and we weren't going home yet, Molly offered to hold our food at the restaurant, providing we're back before closing. Again, she OFFERED to keep it. When we came back, long before closing, I was told that the food was tossed. Why? They thought we'll be back in an hour. Don't know why, never said that. And even if, could have held it till closing. I have paid for those, and there was a lot of food left. You don't throw away something that isn't yours. I didn't forget it there, you offered to hold it. Crappy move on their part. read more
